Why Bitcoin is decreasing?? I think bitcoin now are decreasing its because of this coming Chinese new year this February 16 and in that time bitcoin will mooning again .. That's why , its better to hodl it now and buy more bitcoin now while its in a low price cause it will pump after Chinese new year. 😇😇

That might be one of the factors chinese are one of the most biggest holder of bitcoin,they might cashout of their holiday but as i see from the past few weeks FUDs are the major reason why bitcoin's price has dropped exponentially,INDIA and KOREA fud triggered most of the investors to do panic selling while the facebook restriction on ICO ads has also some part of the downfall recently.

that's a fundamental reason why bitcoin currently declines nearly 50% from the normal price a few months ago. these factors make bitcoin prices fall, but predicted in March when after passing the Chinese new year the price will return to normal and high again.

Chinese are cashing out probably its like what happened before last new year,people needs money and chinese people are most of the biggest holders of bitcoins thats why,another thing is FUD,there are some FUDs last week that might tirgger most of these panic sellers to sell their bitcoins which worsen the situation in the market.

Banning that buying BTC with credit cards from bank may also have affected. Positive news comes and I think that the price will recover. I hope it's will be soon

There a lot of reasons why bitcoin is decreasing. There so many media news that is negative that affect bitcoin's price. Facebook ban bitcoin and cryptocurrency advertisement is one. The very recent is that many banks in America are halting purchaces of cryptocurrency using credit cards. But i think bitcoin will bounce back strong after this turmoil.

Whales are now trying to push the market down even more.
It seems to me that the manipulators have a scheme-one bad news per day. Let's see what news will appear tomorrow!!

Recently, so many bad news came that resulted in the decline in value of bitcoin. The south korea government ban then india president misinterpreted announcement which are both proven not true. Facebook ban crypto ads then the credit card purchase of crypto not allowed in the US. These negative news day after day are designed by the whales so they can buy bitcoin at a very low price.

I do not know the exact reasons why Bitcoin falls. But I'm so interested in why it will grow after the Chinese New Year?

Why did not anyone ask anything when bitcoin was growing?

I do not think Lunar New Year is the cause of bitcoin discount. The cause is probably from bad news recently. I hope that the end of February bitcoin prices will rise again.

I see several reasons. The main one is Tether possible fraud. The second one is the Facebook, Instagram, Weibo and Baidu ICO ads prohibition. The third one is the prohibition of buying crypto using credit cards from several main american banks: JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Citigroup.

Besides all the prohibitions connected with cryptocurrency it is also connected with the fact that more and more people invest in different ICOs. so they buy tokens for btc.

Because so many people selling their bitcoins in low price. Because they afraid to sell in the lowest price.

partly what I know bitcoin down due to the many negative things, if you do not want to lose it we must hold and buy at a time like this

Panic is the main reason for decreasing the price of Bitcoin. Panic orchestrated by some of the big players thru some fake news.

Today’s drop is probably because of the Lloyds bank bran crypto transactions on credit cards. Hope some good news will come soon.   

Yeah, with the big bitcoin price rise in december, more and more media jumped on it and bitcoin became mainstream.
We depend on what the governments decide what they will do with bitcoin, it can go both ways.

Because Chinese government announce total ban over Bitcoin trading for Chinese citizens.
They had a trading ban over local exchanges, but now they are banned from trading in non-Chinese exchanges also.

Wow, China is a nasty country.
When the price of bitcoin has fallen sharply, I always have to pay attention to whether there is any bad news in China. :'(

When i heard a news about cryptocurrency they always said that this is the correction of price value from last year amount which is closely reach to $ 900 equivalent to 1btc,thats they told us now this price value now is the correct right price stability form.

There is nothing to do much with China's ban.
It's more manipulative movements where sharks and whales + institutional money drive price artificially down ... why ...
... because of you small fishes. They want you - small holders to sell at lower level.

There are only 21M of BTC exist, majority are hold long-term in trezors.
In time, more and more BTC will be out of market so sharks wants to accumulate now cheap way.

By the way, you should diversify your portfolio.
Do not keep everything in BTC. Spread the risk - there are a lot of other great crypto to invest.

I do not keep bitcoin really so bitcoin decreasing is not affecting me, although alts are bleeding, but the effect would have been more if i kept BTC, i use bitcoin just as i use any other currency, to buy things and to carry out other transactions, not keeping it, i only keep alts that have utility, i don't know how it sounds, but that is what i do.

i think its because theres no too much demand on bitcoin in market economy because if there are many demands then it will increase but i think people are busy with other coins right now but lets just wait if it will vome back to its where it come from

Because it was strange pump before, it was growth in fact on bad news, problems with segwit/forks and huge mempool. This was all strange. Lots of alts have billions of capitalization w/o ane working tech. This must be. I believe this correction will be good and will lead us to harmonic growth.

i'm not so sure bitcoin is down due to chinese new year. but my experience all this time, affecting bitcoin prices is supply and demand. if the buyer is very much and the stock of goods a little then the price will go up, and vice versa, if the buyer is little and stock lot of goods, then the price goes down.

Holidays, Chinese New Year, Chinese FUD, Korean FUD, Indian FUD, Facebook adv, Bitfinex and Tether.... And of course a lot of weak hands. Just hold on.

I think there are a couple of reasons why Bitcoin keeps decreasing nowadays.

Reason #1: Banks and credit card issuers are starting to ban holders from purchasing cryptocurrencies using their own cards. It includes Lloyd's, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Discover and so on. Expect that the other ones will follow suit and there is no doubt that BTC will keep declining for possibly another rough week for us.

Reason #2: The Republic of China is starting to implement "The Great Firewall" to block Bitcoin and cryptocurrency exchange sites from their country. Crypto ads are already removed from China's main search engine, Baidu, and other platforms.

I'm not worried because I keep my options open by building more assets through airdrops and bounty programs and classify them to short, mid and long-term. On top of that, I still keep my freelance gig that I'm earning consistent Paypal fiat money. :D

This really isn't good news for Bitcoin at all which is obviously why investors exited as soon as they could to keep whatever is left of their capital/profits safe.

Exactly, chinese new year is not the only reasons why bitcoin price decreasing. Some banning bitcoin, and a lot of fud that contributes to make bitcoin price decreased. In these reasons, those who hold will gaining profit for sure.

Your reason is very light and enthusiastic I like that. But seriously speaking though, bitcoin is decreasing simply because many of the users of bitcoin are selling more than buying it. A simple demand, supply, and price relationship is a big factor as of bitcoin is treated as a business.

November and December had the biggest bull run in the entire cryptocurrencies market so many newbie investors entered the market and now they are heavily panicking and selling the shit out of their hands to recover the losses atleast. This cycle might change after one to two months.

decreasing because of panic selling from those newbie investors who invested this last december, while bitcoin is at the top of greens, and they want to cut their loses because the REDs are going dig deep. and the decreasing is continue until no more newbie investors left in this panic selling moment. after that, we all bitcoin holders skyrocketing again.

The main reason was the ban in south korea and china that made the bitcoin go down. Also if you see every year in january bitcoin goes down and pumps up to the most...

I think the reason why bitcoin is dropping is because there are many people spreading of FUDs on the internet and it's contiguous. Many are panic selling because of this FUDs.

Honestly I don't know what is exactly reason on why Bitcoin is decreasing, but I think it's all about the negative news bitcoin on why it's dropping her price. I hope after February it will rise again.

Chinese new year would be one of the reason why the total marketcap is declining,chinese has the most bitcoin in the world which make sense and another thing to consider is FUD,because few days back there is a lot FUDs spreading to our community that creates panic turned to bloodbath.

How many times do they celebrate new year? Didn't the large cashout in mid January is because of Chinese New year? I think that might have triggered some selling pressure so it is going this low. Everybody were saying 8K is the strong support but see what happened now? Crashing like there is no tomorrow.

Lol, I have seen so many reasons on this thread why Bitcoins is decreasing, it just shows that the market is just so weird. It is difficult to understand why Bitcoin is decreasing due to so many activities such as regulations, hard forks etc, are happening at once. However, it might soon be over.

I can only say why bitcoin is dropping now. because he is the leader today but there are so many good coins that are now coming out. but you have to worry about bitcoin still the most popular today so just keep you relax and enjoy. it will also increase its value

According to me chines coming new year is one of the biggest reason to decreasing bitcoin. Because as we all are know that chines btc holder are the big holder of bitcoin.
