Why would you sell it?

If you want to get more profit don't follow what others people do because they have various purpose why they sell their coins, if you think that you can get a profit if you sell now, why not.? if it's not just hold it until the price rise again.

Well these are times to test the patience and will of investors in cryptocurrencies. selling depends on you,if you need money badly then you can sell off rather see the amount you could have sold off slashed off.If you have money to live on,then hodl because this will never last long.Market recovery will occur very soon.

The altcoins are all going down with no certain reasons except that they are severely affected by the extreme dump that is being experienced by Bitcoin right now. Actually it has started several days ago and although there were little increases along the way, the overall direction is going down. We all know for sure that when Bitcoin is severely dumping in value, the altcoins will also be affected. Bitcoin is the face crypto and its failure will, to a significant extent, affect the rest of the altcoins. But there will definitely be a comeback in the days to come so I would say you just hold on to your coins.

Most alts are priced in bitcoin. When bitcoin drops therefore, the dollar value of alts drops too. This triggers stop losses set by the dollar amount. And it triggers selling by bots which have their criteria set in dollars.

That's why crashes in bitcoin always causes alt crashes.

When bitcoin price going down, altcoin price will goin down too. When bitcoin price up, altcoin price will still going down. Altcoin price will goin up if more investors who invest in that coin. You hold coin or token? If you hold token then you can sell it but if you hold coin then I suggest you to hold it little bit longer. Usually token has no its own platform usually they use eth platform or waves platform when the contract is over then you should be careful.

All of decent altcoins will surely drop when the price of bitcoin crash this is what they called market crash but dont worry this is normal in cryptocurrency you just have to increase your patience and hold your coins and sometimes this is a big opportunity to invest while the prices are low

Altcoins are very dependent on Bitcoin cost. Due to the fact that the price of bitcoin is falling, the price of altcoins is also declining. Now there is a lot of negative news, which strongly influence the decrease in Bitcoin price. People in a panic sell bitcoin when they bought it at a cost above $ 14k. This is done specifically so that large players can buy bitcoin and altcoins at a low price. Keep your coins and do not sell. Once the big players are purchased, all the coins will start to grow in value. You just have to wait and you will make a profit.

investor confidence in cryptocurrency decreased
because China imposes restrictions on cryptocurrency
so investors from China sell all their crypto assets

this is normal in the market and in the world of crypto a deep decline makes panic everyone who has altcoin do not bring emotions to bear patience and hold prices up again

Bitcoin is taking a beating and it's affecting the whole market.  The new money which was spent on bitcoins when it was above $15000 is now scared money and people are actually considering selling at a loss.  This isn't a wise decision because the loss could end up being a profit if they held.

What are you talking about? Most of alts have risen 10x in the past month, and BTC dominance has collapsed to the historic low of 30% or so.
And now you are talking about alts going down? oh cmon, you are living in fantasyland? ;D Overall it's nothing really to freak out about, we all have our ups and downs.

The value of bitcoin gets lower also and since most of altcoins are connected on it, the tendency is it will reduce its value. Besides the pump and dump of a certain coin is very normal as it happens already past year. We just have to remain positive and hopeful that it will bloom again. Just keep holding and wait for it to flourish.

The entire market is crashing but the question you need to ask yourself is if you believe in the long term health and vision of crypto.  If you do... either hold or even buy in more.  Everything is on sale right now so buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Neo, and Litecoin... then go shopping for low cap coins that have a big future like DeepOnion, Hive, Aion, and Walton.

If you don't believe in the future, then sell now and try to get back some of your loses.  Buy... don't come back in two months because you'll likely regret it.

Currently, almost all of the cryptocurrencies suffer market crush and probably BTC is the baseline for it's drop in price which I think altcoins were directly proportional with BTC. If BTC will experience a downward trend then altcoins will usually follow. Anyways, I would have to suggest that you should hold it for a longer period while waiting for the bounce back of the market price as this will surely regain soon.

China is banning all cypro related trading resulting in the FUD. Plus the court case for TETHER. Thus resulting in the blood bath for all cryptos. Not just the main cyrptos, all coins are affected. Would forsee a downward trend in the coming weeks.

Many people panic with this situation then sell all of their altcois and produce a lower altcoin price.
Issues about bitcoin or a currency are often rolled out by speculators when prices are top of the chart. If bitcoin is allowed to continue continuously with the flow of prices and enthusiasts holding the coins. Then alt coins and other tokens will be bad impact, will not develop at all. Issues that are disseminated are not really false news, only the title and printed content makes the reader think otherwise. And the intent and purpose is not like that, like news banning bitcoin in Korea first.

Altcoins are going down because of the effect of Bitcoin's decreasing price. This thing is happening in the market due to the different aspects like facebook and instagram policies on banning cyrptos and ICOs. The market crypto now is being controlled by governments and I think they are doing there best to end up crypto. I would suggest you sell some of your coins and left something. We never know what will happen after this situation.

Altcoins are going down because all markets are going down. The stock market is way down, crypto is way down. There is a flight to cash.

Right now altcoins are taking the brunt of the assault, even though many of them have incredible value.

It's probably because most altcoins are frequently exchanged with BTC, ETH, and LTC. Since these major coins prices are falling, no wonder alt coin prices are also falling. In addition, everytime a government announce a FUD, they always include all ICOs and cryptocurrencies. Not just BTC, etc.

When bitcoin makes a rapid movement whether it is up or down then altcoins are affected. Altcoins only shine when bitcoin is having sideways movement. Nowadays, altcoin is in a downward trend as well because bitcoin is just constantly going down. Most of the altcoins are traded with bitcoin so when the bitcoin goes down, it is expected that altcoin would go down as well so traders would just sell their coins and maybe just stay in fiat to wait for a cheaper price and then buy again to have more coins. If bitcoin recovers then altcoins would recover too so if you are at a loss now then better buy back more because good news are slowly coming which means a potential uptrend.

Take a look at this news http://uk.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-prices-fall-but-institutional-investors-hold-steady-2018-2

Quote
"If you ask most institutional investors, one of the most valuable aspects of bitcoin is that every time something has occurred that should kill it, it doesn't die and it comes back stronger," Pompliano added. "I think that element of bitcoin is incredibly powerful and highly underrated."

All decisions are on you, whether to sell them all or keep them until you get a profit. Wise in making decisions when prices fall

Bitcoin is going down because of the recent news and issues about cryptocurrencies and sthe coins. News like china regulating bitcoin or banning bitcoin, facebook and instagram banning bitcoin, and other relevant news. These results to negative impact to bitcoin's chart. Then, all other altcoins also follow the footstep of bitcoin as chain reaction.

If the Chinese government has banned bitcoin, that does not mean that everyone involved in bitcoin will stop working. In our country, the government has also banned bitcoins and has not spread or used them. But I and my friends are still working normally and do not have any problems.
So, I think, the price of all the altcoins goes down because the whales have sold them all. They want to enjoy their New Year  :D

the decline in some bitcoin prices caused by one of China's largest Bitcoin exchanges will soon be closed. It follows the Chinese authorities' decision to deal with the growing crypto. The reason the Chinese government forbade companies to raise money through virtual coins because it is considered potentially fraud.

The entire crypto market is experiencing an incredible decline today. the wonder of all the news about the cause of the crash crypto market is still the same as a few days ago. That is the ban crypto market circulating in many countries. if you see google, the trending topic is china forbid the exchange of cryptocurrency.I'm so upset about the news which has persisted since first crypto crash a few weeks ago. why many users are still panicking for the same reason?

Altcoins are going down due to bitcoin crash and other negative news about the cryptocurrencies that are spreading. If the news of cryptocurrency ban on different countries would stop this market crash would surely subside.

Why Altcoins are going down ??
Basic answer that you can get to understand this easily and it is because many are selling.
Should I Sell My Altcoins?
Why you would ask if you can sell your altcoins now? Are we the one that's holding your portfolio? If you are good with the current gains you have made then its better for you to sell. But don't ever do this trick, buy high - sell low. Those people who are in panic now are doing that trick and that should be avoided that's not the way you trade and make money in crypto.

These days the whole crypto market is in the midst of crisis a lot of countries compel restrictions on cryptocurrency, also a lot of bank doesn't allowed their credit card holder to buy cryptocurrencies on dept these result to crypto market crash and this is one of the reasons why altcoin and bitcoin are going down.
