Hello everyone
Crypto markets are currently under huge downtrend after a glorious 2017 ear. Some of you consider that it's a healthy correction but others don't think so.
Bad news never stop coming since a while talking about an eventual crypto ban from Asian authorities.What do you think about crypto world ? Is it still meriting the worth to invest into
crypto currencies ?

I believe there is still merit in investing in cryptocurrencies as the fundamentals are solid but this may not be the time. We are in a current slide and it is hard to know if it was over last night, 5 days from now, or 2 months from now. Nobody knows and that is why it is best to wait for a confirmed breakout before you start splashing around in new coins. Will also utilize the strategy of averaging down myself if this bear market continues because I don't think it can be bear forever. Timing is crucial and essential to all this though, bad timing and your play has gone out the window. Great timing and your play got even better, good luck.

There's still great promise in crypto, look at where we were a year ago compared to now, the market can continue to thrive without China. In a lot of ways it can be a good thing because we'll no longer have them messing with the price all the time with their flimsy and dubious decision making. The news from the US today paved the way for the future, a regulatory approach that is fair and doesn't harm cryptocurrencies. I really feel like this is the beginning of the recovery now.

The market is under immense pressure from different corners ,from countries planning to regulate the market and the constant influx of FUD news combined is dragging the market down and there are many who invested in it through credit card and most probably they are selling off to cut their losses,these combinations are reflecting in the market ,but it will recover in due time.

I think it is an overdue healthy correction. I see it dipping more ...

Those people that have sold properties, loaned thru any network just to invest on crypto are viewed as fools now. Seems like they didn't think the possibilities of this massive news on regulations & bans. What an "easy goers".
As for the future, IMO it is still visible that crypto won't vanished. I'm positively sure that it doesn't matter how low the price or cap would be, what important is people are still interested on the developments.

Can't believe that just because the market is currently experiencing a downtrend, questions like "is it still worth it" arise. I mean, why? how come? doesn't it really make sense?

Remember the bitcoin price back then? Bitcoin at $5,000 is still way better compare to bitcoin at $1,000. By looking at the bottom price it established nowadays, still way decent compare to previous lows. How come people will just made a conclusion of this downtrend. Clearly all they know is just "moving up" and disregarding all things associated while price is climbing.

If that's the case then putting money on crypto is not suitable for them.

Yeah, too much correction but this is what we need right now so we can still buy at a lower price and if cryptocurrency can’t survive on this crash what more in the future. See this thing, if cryptocurrency manage to bounce back and go even higher more investors will come because they believe now on this technology that no matter what FUD may occur in the future, cryptocurrency can survive.

well in the midst of all this, one thing is certain and that is the market will bounce back stronger as has always happened.i personally believe this year will be a year of regulations of the crypto space by governments but that won't stop cryptos from moving up.

Its bouncing back but there are still panic selling and hope soon they realize that price is rising normally..
So better to buy right now while the price still in low price and hold them for a long time just to make sure you make a good profit wait for a long time..
Don't worry about the price drop its always happening every year and i heard not only crypto market are down also in forex market there are massive drop..
So its a normal that we are seeing price drop in few days.. and now should slowly increase back again..

it's times like these that it becomes crystal clear: don't be in a rush to take a position. a lot of people thought $15k and then $10k was "the buy of a lifetime." the reality is that the old adage is true: the market will stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent. the bottom is usually lower than you can possibly fathom when you are a bull.

with that in mind, bitcoin and crypto are definitely worth investing in. the question is, from what price? i think we've seen enough volume and a daily reversal candle to say that we've found an intermediate bottom. but it may not be the bottom. keep that in mind when considering where to buy and how much of your portfolio to allocate. the safest way to invest is usually to allocate only a small portion of your portfolio at a time (1% or less). so if the price continues lower, you can keep averaging into a stronger position in anticipation of the bullish reversal.

I think it still has that potential everyone has believed it has over the past few years. Although the downtrend is uncanny because it keeps getting bad for the market, and there is actually that notion that the market would soon crash and never recover, I think that the best part of going down is there is no other place but up after it. In the past, Bitcoin has showed this trend of being dormant for months at a time, and then, without warning goes up again. I think if people would just be patient, it will hopefully be over soon.

I agree, countries wants to regulate Crypto currency and I think even if resist it there is nothing we could do. I will take that instead of banning the crypto currency completely. I am still optimistic that price will bounce back but I am also sure that it will not be as easy as 2017.

 

That a country ban cryptocurrency shouldn't be your reason to decide if you will be investing in bitcoin or not. And most times I tends to think that China banning cryptos and bitcoin dipping tends to be a coincidence, so its not as if China is our core uphold to bitcoin. If you know the Importance and worth of your coin, you should know that you should be HODLing, not for your immediate gain, but for the future.

After this massive dip,it will bounce back. If you remember bitcoin price last year way back september-october then its volatile pumping from november - december? what happen is just a correction,other country's that used to ban crypto is maybe another reason of the dip. FUD everywhere sucks but they cant take away the crypto,it's too strong enough and it will survive.just hodl,moon soon😊

And who would want to lose everything? Those people who sold their properties and loaned a huge amount to invest in cryptocurrencies was the most confident people/risk takers. This red days for cryptomarket might be quite disturbing for them but it will all pay off.


Yeah. This has happened already last year. Where many countries have banned and regulated cryptos but still it pass and bitcoin recover even higher that the high record.

the drop started as a healthy correction, obviously after reaching nearly $20,000 a correction and a huge drop was expected. and the correction, bubble burst or whatever people like to call it happened and was over. it even got big where bitcoin lost half its value reaching the major buy support of $10,000. but from that time it is not healthy anymore to see more drops it is going lower than it should have.

this may suck now but there is a good thing coming out of it. and that is the fact that altcoins also got dropped and dumped a lot. now they are starting to get ready for their next pumps. buy bitcoin or get your bitcoins ready, invest in them and enjoy their pumps when they come and increase your bitcoin wealth before alt dumps.

Its under correction just because of panic holders who have bought bitcoin just by speculating on price rather than trusting in bitcoin's potential.

Correction like this will remove weak hands from market which is good for price growth.

Ban FUDS and some bankers shouting bitcoin is just a bubble is not new, we have seen such fuds 100+ times in future whenever market will go through correction like this. These fuds are only spreaded to create panic on market so that whales can full their bags. Still many countries in Asia allow crypto trading and mining.

Its best time to invest in crypto because you will never get any coin in discount like this in future.

This dip is more than corrections as bitcoin has loss over 75% of its last December high value. Yesterday bitcoin fell below  $6,000 and many are still saying bitcoin will still fall further maybe towards  $4,500.
It is still very "merit worth to invest into bitcoin" many people did not believe that bitcoin will get to $5,000 in 2017 and today we can say bitcoin is one of the most popular form of money all over the world.

Nothing is going straight up, just fools believe in that. Basically he didn't ask a good question, because he is the one that believe that crypto prices should go up and up, and after every drop to cry and ask is it worth to invest now, bla bla bla. And I'm so annoyed from people who still talk about Chinese, Korean and others from Asia, they are masters of spreading the fud, and they are doing that for years now. I'm here for so long and they changed their opinions so many times. Today they are banning, tomorrow they are legalizing, who know what f. communists are doing, but nothing good for sure. I don't believe them nothing. If they say that its raining outside I will go out and check that first! That's how I feel about news from Asia. And here I don't count Japan, they are different.

Although the market is really under the greatest pressure ever, smart people will go on buying crypto and trading. Alts and BTC will go up soon.

Yes it is still profitable investing crypto currency specially bitcoin.  Many rumors do really affect the stability of crypt community but most of it are false.  We need to be versatile in every aspect considering the biases. If not from the fact that BTC are falling gradually then I do say that those individuals whose spreading rumors are all sarcastic.

Basing it from my experience I can still consider this as a healthy correction or  I can even call it normal. Price drops like this can't be compared to the price drops in the Stock Market as really we need to see that cryptocurrency market is really different from how they move in terms of value.

Also this is normal. Without bad news we might not be able to take advantage of the price drops like what we currently have. We need to look at the price drops as an opportunity not a discouragement for us holders.

If you look at it cryptocurrency market is still young and is still growing as of the moment. Some of the countries are now putting up their own exchanges which are regulated by their own government. I don't know why you are thinking that just one market correction will make you think that the whole market will now end.

your right mate,i dont know why this people are questioning the price now as dip,when compared to last years price same months is much bigger the price today.they only added more pressure to the holder to panic..not because the price on the last quarter of 2017 grows hugely doesnt mean bitcoin cant go back to its lower price.dont participate in bitcoin if youre not ready for this

I believe there are advantages to investing in cryptocurrencies.

People who don't have more than a year or two of encryption should know that prices can rebound at any time.

For those who are biggeners here or started investing in bitcoin last year, im sure there are now panicing and some questions to their mind are now starting to rise. This big drop is not new, it is a part of getting profit. Just trust your coin, because im sure you will not buy it or invest in it if you are not sure that, that coin is good or has a big potential to grow. For now lets take this a big chance to invest more and wait untill the market get recover. Just be patient, our profit in on the way.

Overthinking about the negative things has made you even more nervous. There is a lot of bad news about crypto that does not mean it will end, as many other investors I believe in it, and I think in what I decide to invest.

We cannot actually exactly predict what will happen in the future but one thing is for sure that Bitcoin is too big to lose and it will rise up again soon. So, we just need to be patient to wait and have hope that Bitcoin will be back again to its highest price as compared last 2017. For you to jump higher, we need to bend our knees. Dropping of prices of Bitcoin including Altcoins, happens in a month so it is possible that the price can possibly rise up too high in a month as well. Since the price is lower, take this time to buy additional coins and then hold until it goes up again. Best of luck to all of us! 😊

Sure. Market are not always bearish. There is a time also that all is green and gains are good. After the storm, a calm and sunny day can be seen, same with trading. Let us just wait after this massive dip, there is no other way but to go up. Stay positive! :)

As the history show us after a such massive dip usually expected a fast growth of crypto currency. So don't worry and you will see the magic in the near future as it has already been repeatedly.

Its true that dips have happened in future and seeing the market recovering from btc being 6k to 8k is something relieving to many people. It shows that there was no such "hack" or so like Mt.Gox in past. Although I am still pondering whether market is going to be stable in the next few days or not the entire market has bounced back.

I hope some traders stocked up on altcoins because this moment in crucial for the market. Since value of bitcoin had dropped the altcoins value had increased and now its rising and still its a good time to buy.

Bitcoin price is falling yes, and there is panic..yes! panic kills ponzi, but panic makes money for veteran traders in the financial market. Everybody has a worth, if you think you have met your worth and that the game is no longer good for you, you can back out. as simple as that

Yes, it is still a good correction and eventually markets will go up in no time, news and FUDs are coming out because some investors wants to enter in a low prices.

Recently a lot of governments are making comments to regulate this market but some people spreading this news as a ban to create a panic in investors. Only people who are already know how this market works will hold their coins for long-term but new investors may sell at loss by looking at this news. I believe before this year-end it may go back to around 20K range. So I'm not selling any of my coins but buying some more at this dip.

It will not, remember bitcoin gets a big pump at 2013 and then it backs again to the bottom which around double digits of dollars.
But the legalism becomes the primary concern in the crypto. How more and more countries are seeing it as excellent income to earn another income from taxation.

Usually, after a massive dip, there is expected to be a rise in price. But as the case may be, there could be an increase in price, which everybody is expecting and on the other hand, a further dip may even occur. At this point, it is always expected for there to be a reversal.

You are right because some bad news coming from asia and does that affect the sharp decline in cryptocurrency or not, and then worth it or not invested it depends on each of them, I myself still think that cryptocurrency worth to invest, now how we can take advantage of this situation or not.

in this month, it will be a very hard time for all cryptocurrencies to rise back from the big drop, this happen everyyear and becoming a normal phenomynon that makes me believe this is just the correction of bitcoin in Chinese new year eve and perhaps may happen so many times in the future. Of course it still is. Bad news thus affecting the price of Cryptocurrency, but there's still good news about it, I heard Banks are now trying to accept BTC in EU. Its a matter of patience, if your patient enough you'll be rewarded.

The market is gradually stabilizing and I think the whole market will rise slightly in the near future. By March this year, there will be rapid fluctuation and growth of the market. Investors from the Asian market will bring the crypto coins to new heights. Low value altcoin under $ 10 will increase sharply because investors are often interested in low altcoin to increase prices more.

This market is crypto currency. Negative news about bitcoin will go on as long as whales need it. Whales want to buy bitcoin at a low price. Once everything is purchased - immediately see good news and the market will begin to recover. What we are observing now.

This massive dip is just temporary for sure. As many people says, bitcoin will tend to rise in the future. There are many speculation about bitcon but so you know most are holding it. Yes it will recover, there are bad news about bitcoin that's why the price of bitcoin and all coins are down, but it will rise again maybe after this month of February.

It is just a matter of regulating bitcoin to somehow balanced the stock and demand movement of bitcoin. It is good for bitcoin because it could help for the future development of bitcoin in terms of value, transactions and its volume for trading where it is a big step for development and future progress of bitcoin in relation to changes of the price of bitcoin.

Now the situation is fundamentally opposite and the news background says that the cryptocurrency market from now on will start a lively rise in prices for all cryptocurrencies. As you could see there is no bad news about bitcoin anymore. Now we see only good news about bitcoin. This suggests that the trend has changed and we should wait for the price increase. I hope that will be so.

Well as you can see the dip seems to be over now, and although this was a big correction, it wasn't the largest one bitcoin had, not even the longest one.

As you can see there, we had plenty of corrections like this one, and two big ones on 2013. The volatility will not disappear any time soon in crypto markets, so you will probably get more corrections like this in the future. It all depends on how the market grows, and normally the crypto markets have huge unsustainable growths followed by big dips, because they are highly speculative and influenced by fud and fomo. The questions you always need to ask yourself are the following: Did the fundamentals changed? Did development stopped?

Bitcoin dev team did not stop working on bitcoin, and the fundamentals are the same, so there is no reason for alarm, and if you believed in bitcoin when it was at $20k, you must still believe in it now, and the same thing goes for a lot of other coins.

The market trend is normal. The problem is most people bought high sold low. Smart investors like this trend because they can sell high buy low. If you see the graph. BTC is way expensive. Mcafee only predited $5k for Dec 2017. I am not endorsing anyone to buy or sell, what I am saying BTC is still more expensive than predicted.

And this dip didn't just affect Bitcoins only, all the other cryptocurrencies were all shaken and they all took massive dips but Bitcoins is still the most valuable and now we are on path to recovery and a price boom.

things will continue as usual after every dip. People start calming down, realizing that it's not the end and continue buying crypto. The great things about cryptocurrencies is that not many people are involved yet, which means there are so many potential buyers out there. When they enter the market they will buy crypto and consequently increase the price. Just keep calm and hold.

There is still no answer to this. The market is trying to find a good point to determine another major trend to the upper or the lower zones. We will figıure out this very soon, but not yet.

I certainly believe that recovery will happen soon and a much higher value for bitcoin will be welcome. Many are in doubt after experiencing almost  100% drop in bitcoin price, some thinks it will going to die soon. But for me it wasn't over yet, and will never be, this is just an opportunity for those who want to become rich in the future, those who will trust the market and willing to take a risk. I think after this regression happening in the bitcoin there will be a new and bright future waiting for them, we just need to believe upon on them.

I think you don’t have to worry about the massive down of prices of bitcoins in the world trade market since it was a normal event. Not all the time it will increase the price.
There are some circumstance that you need to wait and let it passed without responding anything.

Yes it's true, after this massive dip bitcoin and other currencies will recover and go up again.
For now the  price of Bitcoin and other altcoins was slowly rise and I believe this will continue to rise.

There is always a huge profit after a huge loss. Like it is often said, after a darkness it comes a bright day. The more it is dark the more it will be bright next morning. Same is the case with bitcoins, like now, they had a strong dip of almost one month so there will be huge impact, a positive one, on it while they will be rehabilitant. So we are hopeful for bitcoins to show such classy price now.

Well at least don't count on it happening as fast as it did last december. We're likely to hit another all time high this year but at a slow steady pace with a lot of mini corrections. And certainly there will still be fuds and the bear market will almost surely be back. Just don't keep your hopes that high

Now it will be time for lots of bear traps for bitcoin. So there will be tricky movements but the head will be upwards

Trading Market is just a cycle. you already said that 2017 is a golden year for Crypto but if you take a look at the chart of 2017 1st - 2nd quarter was also bearish crypto market start to recover in the early there quarter of 2017  and probably 2018 would be a repeat of 2017  but expect an early upward trend since many people are interested to invest in crypto market

yes of course there are still many who will invest in cryptocurrency because if there is bad news and make falling bitcoin prices it will make the opportunity available to buy as much bitcoin as possible because the price is cheap. cryptocurrency will never die.

With the fall in price means with the same amount now you are able to buy more than what previously at high prices you could have got. So this is the best time to invest in many coins where it is available at lower rate and make some good portfolio of the coins for future.

It took only 10 days and it became clear that this was a planned action, there were information throws, the news was inflated, of course everything was done for a reason, I think who should have entered the market, now I'm just waiting for growth.

Wait more and more till the prices are touching the moon. The game has been started again and price charts are being accelerated by the bitcoins to shoot up. We all will be seeing the prices of bitcoins going up with much speed as a rocket is moving outside the world. So don’t worry and pack your wallets up for the selling time. This massive dips is just a healthy correction, Buy now before it's too late. 2018 is indeed a lucky year to all the people in crypto space. If Lightning network release bull run will happen very soon.

Actually the "dip" has ended long back now. Bitcoin is now trading at around 9900USD and rallying between 8k and 10k USD. I dont understand why you believe 2018 to be a luck year while the Q4 of 2017 was actually the lucky (if you say so) part of the year.

Lightning Network is the next step after segwit if I am correct. It will reduce fees even more and thus the number of unconfirmed transactions will reduce. Lets see how that influences the market.

I don't hear yet that Lightning network, I'll probabyly do a research on it, 2017b is the start of the year of bitcoin on getting known, after this quarter I hope btc arise like it did last year, first quarter were indeed a good chance for those who wants to buy ang join the ride.
