"I have a dream for the Web [in which computers] become capable of analyzing all the data on the Web — the content, links, and transactions between people and computers. A "Semantic Web", which makes this possible, has yet to emerge, but when it does, the day-to-day mechanisms of trade, bureaucracy and our daily lives will be handled by machines talking to machines. The "intelligent agents" people have touted for ages will finally materialize."

                                                                                        — Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web

One-liner

Semantics -> Machine-readable web, structured data -> Automatic data processing -> User-centric -> Web 3.0

Semantics
The term was coined by Tim Berners-Lee for a web of data that can be processed by machines — that is, one in which much of the meaning is machine-readable.

Machine-readable web, structured data
Machine-readable web is made up of websites whose content can be readily processed by computers due to their structured data. It is a standardized format for providing information about a page and classifying the page content; for example, on a recipe page it would be ingredients, cooking time and temperature, calories, and so on. Most Search structured data uses schema.org vocabulary. Structured data features automatic data processing.

Automatic data processing
Automation of incoming data filtering, processing, classification and cataloging of content in accordance with user’s interests.

User-centric
A new level of browsing experience based on the needs and interests of each individual user — Web 3.0.

Web 3.0
Secure, censorship & spam-proof distributed web based on the blockchain. WRIO Internet OS is a platform for the upgrade to Web 3.0.

______________________________________

What is WRIO Internet OS

A blockchain-powered platform for developing a machine-readable web featuring automatic data processing. Automatic data processing will enable a tuned up browsing experience based on the needs and interests of each individual user. This will pave the way for a user-centric Web 3.0 with its predictive services and search engines of a new generation.

The Evolution of the Platform

WRIO Internet OS
Mission: Serve as a human-machine interpreter.
https://wrioos.com/img/mission-schema.jpg
The platform will upgrade today’s Web 2.0 to machine-readable Web 3.0. Machine-readable web will pave the way for an automatic data processing and will enable the user-centric feature: users will receive screened information automatically based on their interests.

Thin-client terminal devices
Automatic correlation, classification, and cataloging of web data against users’ interest matrices will allow the creation of predictive user-centric services and next generation search engines. WRIO Internet OS will become their platform, and will create a new market of browser-driven smart predictive systems — very inexpensive thin-client terminal devices with WRIO Internet OS onboard.

Distributed secure Web 3.0
Such devices will be able to automatically incorporate a global, fully distributed, and blockchain-powered peer-to-peer network that will serve as the trigger of new “unicorn” arrivals that will replace many of the visionary technology projects of the past.

Vision
We will see Web 3.0 version of googles, skypes, ebays, paypals, facebooks, ubers, etc., using a single distributed source of machine-readable data pool. Borders of websites and domains that divide today’s web will dissolve, and we will witness the advent of the P2P web; a network of interrelated peers powered by WRIO Internet OS that can exchange information without any restrictions, while respecting privacy at the same time.

Read our blog post “Future Fragments (https://webrunes.com/blog/WRIO_Internet_OS._Future_Fragments/)” for more details.

Facts
  • The number of Internet users is nearing 4 billion. There are 23 bln connected devices in the world and the number doubles every 36 months.
  • Generated information doubles every 18 months but less than 5% of pages are semantic. A syntax analysis is required for the search engines to be able to index data.
  • Global Internet traffic in 2020 will be equivalent to 100 times the volume of the entire global Internet in 2005.

Web 2.0 problems

User
          - Manual search for and processing of information. The lion’s share of information can’t find its audience.
          - Irrelevant ads. 88% of all email and content are spam and phishing.
          - Viruses and Malware. 32% of computers around the world are infected with viruses and malware.
          - Censorship, surveillance, no privacy.

Author
          - Troubles finding the target audience
          - Distribution of information depends on ads and promotion
          - Difficulties with content monetization

Entrepreneur
          - Website development and support require much efforts and resources.
          - Search engine optimization is needed.
          - Low security. 71% of websites contain some malicious code were in fact legitimate websites that had been compromised in some way.
          - Low trust online, fake accounts, scammers.
          - Ineffective ads.

Developer
          - Cross-platform, cross-browser, cross-device and responsive problems need to be solved
          - A database is required to store data
          - Information is isolated. Unstructured data, multiple incompatible formats

How does it work?

http://wrioos.com/img/architecture.jpg

WRIO Internet OS architecture, layers:
00. Global Data Pool. Linked Data storage: HTML pages, contain a link to wrioos.js that interlinks it to a default WRIO OS node. Can be stored at any static content hosting.
01. WRIO Internet OS. A decentralized network of WRIO Internet OS nodes that render Linked Data and turn them into hubs: a new type of machine-readable websites. A node is required only for those users who do not use the WRIO Internet OS browser / plugin / mobile app.
02. Themes. Used to display hubs and user interface of cloud and distributed applications in the style selected by the user.
03. Cloud and distributed applications. A set of applications determining functions of hubs: sharing in selected social media, comments, and etc., including web dashboards applications and applications using the blockchain.
04. Smart Contracts. Self-executing algorithms interacting with the blockchain.
05. Blockchain. A metadata base and assets repository.

Default WRIO Internet OS editor creates web-pages in semantic format JSON-LD (Linked Data): an HTML file is a set of static data (key-value). The page format (http://schema.org/) has been developed by Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Yandex. Page indexation does not require search engine optimization or syntax analysis, which ensures high organic search positions. The format of pages is machine-readable, which enables automatic data processing. This paves the way to the development of automatic curated web: metadata of each created page is recorded in the blockchain, then it is correlated to the user’s interest matrix stored in the profile. If there is a match, the page is displayed in the user’s web dashboard, which is a key element of user-centric web.

webGold

Tokens for Crowdsale. webGold (WGD) is required for settlements between WRIO OS projects. Unlike other cryptocurrencies webGold cannot be mined.  It is issued automatically on the basis of value of assets confirmed by the market. In other words, when project’s tokens are sold. Every time this happens, the price difference is the market evaluation of its value change. If the change is positive, new WGD are issued based on the emission smart contract for the amount equal to the difference, which are then distributed. Thus, the amount of WGD in circulation is always an equivalent of the market evaluation of all projects’ tokens.

80% of new WGD are automatically distributed (Airdrop) among webGold owners on a pro rata basis. The remaining 20% are carried over to the reserve fund to be used for further development of the projects.

webGold Economy

The platform can be used free of charge. However, webGold is required to pay for premium functions (e.x. posts promotion) and offers, paid apps, to buy tokens of 3rd party projects that reached ICO, etc.

Using funds raised during the Crowdsale

Crowdsale participants protection: ALL raised funds will be used to support webGold exchange rate in the Buyback Fund!
Unlike other Crowdsales and ICOs, only $200,000 raised during the Presale were used to develop MVP and first apps.
webGold tokens issued during the Crowdsale will be supplemented with additional share (20%) that will be channeled for further development of the project.

Credits (CRD)

This is tokens used to ensure WRIO OS platform operation. The mining of the tokens is based on the concept of Proof of Social Action — actions that one way or another contribute to the promotion of WRIO Internet OS: sharing, posting, etc. The first Social Action costs insignificant, though non-zero efforts: you are able to receive 10 CRD every hour free of charge by clicking “Get Free Credits”. CRD can be exchanged for WGD and vice versa.

Business Model

WRIO Internet OS gets a percent of transactions within the platform and distribution of premium accounts, services and ads.

Top 10 Reasons to Participate in Crowdsale

One Time-Event
After it is over, webGold can only be bought from users or earned.

MVP ready
Unlike the overwhelming majority of other Crowdsales/ICOs we already have a minimum viable product.

Crowdsale participants protection
All raised funds will be used to support webGold exchange rate in the Buyback Fund. Security: escrow and multisig wallet.

Airdrop
A unique opportunity to take part in the automatic Airdrop distribution of newly issued WGD on a pro-rata basis.

Investment
Those who wish to make some profit off the rate increase could invest into WGD and sell it at a later stage after its book value has grown.

First ICOs
Soon after Crowdsale its participants will be able to purchase tokens of first projects on special terms

Early adopters
Pre-registered first authors, bloggers, youtubers, and so on, some of them with millions of subscribers.

Special offers
Participation in special offers from WRIO OS to acquire premium services and purchase Credits at a lowest price.

Star-Team
8 members and 30+ contributors. Advisors from multi-billion companies and developers who participated in projects for Nike, Adidas, Apple, Walmart and other well known brands. The project team, management, development departments will be located in USA and Czech Republic.

New Frontier
The platform for Web 3.0 unicorns. We are rushing into the era of Internet of Things and Big Data where an automated processing of data will be a must. This will cause the emergence of user-centric services and predictive search systems that will soon replace traditional web 2.0 services and will become the new web standard.

This project is what we need now, most of us are using internet and computers. And about 1/3 of computers around the world are infected with viruses and malwares. This will be of great help because hackers are all pain in our neck nowadays. I guess, WRIO Internet OS can also help us to protect from phishing links and sites.

This is a very promising project that will surely be successful. As a frequent browser myself, I want a browsing experience with less or no irrelevant ads at all. One that is able to give better results to my searches. It would also be better if annoying pop-ups which are most likely to contain malicious content are totally gone. From what I have read in your whitepaper, you are able to address these issues and to provide security using keystore. I am looking forward for this project to be implemented soon.

Now we really hate ads that we don't need, but how do we make a profit, or do we do it by loading our favorite advertising model?
There isn’t any simple answer to that. Instead, there is a set of mutually complementary approaches. Each one of them requires an individual explanation, which can also be found in the White Paper. However, in brief, it is a possibility to support favorite authors: Credits (non-flat likes) for interesting content https://wrioos.com/#Credits. In turn, Crediting is directly related to reputation (Rating), which can be monetized. You can find detailed description of the process in Offers https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UM29XhlQ6ZsaWOWhIP5o4_Wh0m8Iy5NtL1-ia7z5aXQ/edit#heading=h.swddvye9h53m.
Offers represent a precisely targeted approach that differs from ads by the following reasons:
1. it is viewed voluntarily, the advertiser may offer compensation for your time and attention; more details in the WP
2. the Offers’ purpose is to divert the direction of advertising. If now it is spam convincing us to buy something, then Offers are and answer to your need in solving a pressing issue: which footwear is better for jogging at a stadium? What smartphone will be better to purchase if I need one: [the list of your criteria]

Doesn't the whole blockchain world with things like Smart Contracts and Ricardian Contracts constitute the web 3.0 as most would envision it? What exactly does your concept contribute to the existing tools and infrastructures that are being built right now?

There no a generally accepted opinion what Web 3.0 is, but our vision is based on the idea of Tim Berners-Lee's Semantic Web. According to him, the web had to be semantic from the beginning. Thus, in fact, this kind of web is v1.0
What exactly does your concept contribute to the existing tools and infrastructures that are being built right now?
So, if we take the PC analogy, I'd say
Blockchain = HDD
Smart contracts = Code, programs
Semantic web (our goal) = Data. Machine-readable information that can be processed automatically.

A: We have steem-like functional, but our purpose is to create a machine-readable web. Like a global decentralized wikipedia of data that can be "read" by machines to help us to process info.

I understand what you are saying but as I said, the Ricardian Contract from Ian Grigg aims to provide exactly that: semantics. Machine readable computer code that reflects real world events as closely as possible or even perfectly. Your project might help to push that vision further down the long road it has in front of it.

Quote
The Ricardian contract is a method of recording a document as a contract at law, and linking it securely to other systems, such as the accounting system, for the contract as an issuance of value
Sure, but we'd like to make some notes. The purpose of RC is to create a machine-readable format for agreements, contracts and so on based on blockchain. We hunt for a different purpose: we'd like to create a platform to upgrade a human-redable web to a human&machine-readable web. We need blockcain only to store meta-data + url of pages based on machine-readable format, like a global decentralized HDD with docs that can be used by everybody (private data is encrypted). Imagine a global directory with data can be processed by machines: you don't need to search the web to find new content, you will get info automatically based on your Interest Matrix, like if you had dug the whole web and chose what to read by yourself. And this feature is only one what a machine-readable web can offer.

At the beginning of the two thousandth years appeared the so-called standard web 2.0. And finally comes the time for the third version, where the content will be focused not so much on the person, but on understanding the content machines that will already interpret it and give the end user under his individual requests.

i've been looking thru the thread, your twitter profile, and telegram group, but i can't find any telegram bounty :) don't you have any? I'd really love to help promote thru telegram! there's a big community waiting on telegram to know WRIO. besides, telegram is the most easiest way to communicate aside from messenger which already blocked ICOs and other crypto links/details.

as my suggestion, how about a Telegram Bounty, wherein a participant will recieve token/s, if they invite or add they're friend or colleagues on your telegram group. but resticts adding bot or dead accounts. that would be a nice way to increase our community.

One-liner

Semantics -> Machine-readable web, structured data -> Automatic data processing -> User-centric -> Web 3.0

Crowdsale participants protection

i've been looking thru the thread, your twitter profile, and telegram group, but i can't find any telegram bounty :) don't you have any? I'd really love to help promote thru telegram! there's a big community waiting on telegram to know WRIO. besides, telegram is the most easiest way to communicate aside from messenger which already blocked ICOs and other crypto links/details.

as my suggestion, how about a Telegram Bounty, wherein a participant will recieve token/s, if they invite or add they're friend or colleagues on your telegram group. but resticts adding bot or dead accounts. that would be a nice way to increase our community.
We're going to run it soon. Stay tuned on t.me/webRunes to get notification. Thank you!

We're developing a cross-browser solution (html5 compatible browsers).

Will you work with network operators/providers?
No, there no need to cooperate with them. But if you have a particular question regarding ISPs, please let us know.

Your white paper said webGold but the twitter handle for the airdrop said webrunes. what is the similarities
webGold is the token name and webRunes is our team name.

Thank you for your question!

webGold Economy

The platform can be used free of charge. However, webGold is required to pay for premium functions (e.x. posts promotion) and offers, paid apps, to buy tokens of 3rd party projects that reached ICO, etc.

is there any explanition of this ?

Modern browsers support HTML5 offline features, we're going to use them heavily. Naturally, WRIO OS node is using JS, but you can run your own WRIO OS server (open-source, you can use any of them like tor, they're only the gate and don't store any private data) and later we're going to develop WRIO OS browser, FF/Chrome plugins and mobile app: any of those stuff will take care about rendering pages and you won't need WRIO OS nodes any more. You can imagine them as read-only browser (all scripts are ignored) with apps (like plugins for browsers): sharing, commenting, funds transferring, you name it. You choose only what you do need for a comfortable browsing. You choose what features must be on the pages, not websites owners, they provide info/data only.

It's like you use Google Play for free, but sometimes you buy apps or games. Or pay Google for promotion via Adwords.

This is a very interesting project. The idea is unique and really promising. The idea of having a web 3.0 is something new to me. However I believe that having partnerships with trusted companies will help make this project a huge success. Will this be available in big exchanges like bittrex or binance?

"I have a dream for the Web [in which computers] become capable of analyzing all the data on the Web — the content, links, and transactions between people and computers. A "Semantic Web", which makes this possible, has yet to emerge, but when it does, the day-to-day mechanisms of trade, bureaucracy and our daily lives will be handled by machines talking to machines. The "intelligent agents" people have touted for ages will finally materialize."

                                                                                        — Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web

One-liner

Semantics -> Machine-readable web, structured data -> Automatic data processing -> User-centric -> Web 3.0

Web 3.0 solutions

Read our blog post “All You Need is a Browser (https://webrunes.com/blog/All_You_Need_is_a_Browser/#)” for more details.

This is one of the big project this year, considering that users need to have a tool in order to search the Internet. With the continuous hacking, phishing, and spamming even down to the personal level this does not guarantee safety to every users, this makes the Internet a not safe place to park. But with this platform which is everyone is guaranteed for a smooth and SECURED USER-CENTRIC BROWSING EXPERIENCE anytime and anywhere. We are looking to this platform and its release for sure every body gonna love this.

Thank you. MVP is already here, our server renders json-ld successfully. For example it's a private hub of the webRunes CEO
https://aa.wr.io
and json-ld of it stored on https://github.com/AlexeyAnshakov/aa.wr.io-WRIO-Hub
You can make a fork, edit and store on any static hosting to get your own hub.

Or you can test our page editor to create pages:

But sorry for any issues, it's still in dev stage.

This is a really great project -and it seems it has a lot of different aspects to it.

How would you sum this up in an elevator pitch to someone who has no idea about it?

We'd say, it's a platform to create a blockchain-powered decentralized wikipedia of machine-readable and secure data. It can automatically process all incoming content and show it to a proper readers based on their interest.

Q: Will this affect the processing speed of the browser in getting the required information as it is using an isolated container? Will this requires higher ISP bandwidth speed?
A: No, it's not. Isolated container does not affect browsing experience. In fact, getting pure data (JSON-LD) without html markup, css and js on the page reduces the bandwidth requirements. The average page (w/o images) is about ~20kb, so you can navigate very quickly.

Q: how is this going to resolve the design interface if cant load the css and js?
A: For WRIO Internet browser, browser plugin or mobile app it's like a default google chrome theme that can change on another. Or like you have the same facebook UI for all pages, but our variant is global and without vendor lockup and you'll be able to choose or develop you own theme.
Yes, you have to download theme (markup+ css + js) by using WRIO OS node (e.x. load https://wrioos.com itself), but after that you use browser cache to render any other hubs: https://webrunes.com, https://aa.wr.io or created by you https://core.wrioos.com/create (sorry for any issues, still in dev). Or you can edit https://github.com/AlexeyAnshakov/aa.wr.io-WRIO-Hub in any text editor. just upload on any static server and enjoy your own hub.
Q: given that im doing web-based projects? will this browser still suits for the web-based developer?
A: Yes. But you will have additional features for a web 3.0 hubs.

just read through the website of this project, i can tell it is a very essential part of this generation, now virtually every information we seek can be found in the internet just with one click, now to have a project like this one...... an automated -readable websites whose content can be readily processed by computers due to the fact that it has already structured data in blockchain technology is an added advantage to the already existing great project in crypto space. i can see this project if successful widely used and adopted by many.

You're perfectly right. Information is the currency, but we, as users, have an attention limit. And we need automatic systems which can sift information for us. Thank you for a great comment!

2. This is running on Ethereum backbone, in the long-term approach will this project aims to have its own blockchain?

Right, you may consider WGD and CRD for WRIO OS as ether and gas for Ethereum.

2. This is running on Ethereum backbone, in the long-term approach will this project aims to have its own blockchain?
Yes, it's possible. When we'll need additional tech flexibility.

Good! A point of suggestion if it's possible that this project will only accept WGD and CRD to make it scarce and more valuable though other currency can be converted to it in order to avail the said services. Likewise, we all know that Ethereum is congested because majority of the projects tapped to their backbone. Having your own the project will sustain in the point of failure of their blockchain.

What is the main purpose of this project and what are the development plan?
We're going to create a platform that could upgrade web2.0 to the semantic web3.0.

what are the development plan?
Our first goal was to show a linked data page rendering. Now we're working on first wrioos apps: editor, payment and commenting system based on tweets, and some more. In fact today we have MVP that we can describe as medium+steemit, but based on the semantic (machine-readable) data format.

When we say 'Web dashboard' meaning each user has an account and will load only the interface based on user requirements? Dashboard will vary from the users perspective?

What do you think is the biggest change that WRIOOS will bring to the internet?  And do you think it will become something that everyone uses or just a select few?

I guess what it brings to the table is that it will revolutionize the Internet through its browser, if this will be implemented this year it will be the first project to do so, this will be for everyone, if they think of their security with regards to their daily transactions in the Internet they should think of it and not hesitate to support WRIOOS Web 3.0 and WebGold . To avail more services and functionalities of the project they will need to have the WebGold for the purchases, etc;  this is for the sustainability of the project in the long-term approach.

Don't you think you should rename the thread to Webrunes WRIOOS Browser or something? Because sometimes Chrome displays the title of the webpage as I type in the keyword and also it's easier to search when the thread's name is the one I'm searching for.

Anyway, for those looking for a great ICO to buy in, this is Webrunes or WRIOS. They have a much larger social media presence in Twitter and Facebook. The whitepaper is visionary. An long hold if you ask me.

There were only two establishments that convert bitcoin to fiat. Crypto need a long long way to go before it will fully popularize to many.

This is indeed a funny thread. Or rather the devs have abandoned this announcement thread.

FYI no one from the official dev team bothered to update here, so here's the news.

WebRunes said in the Telegram group..
Quote
We gladly announce that our company has won the second FED4FIRE+ grant to support the https://iot.wr.io project. That means we have enough money to launch a MVP. The company will be divided in two according to focuses described in the White Paper. webRunes remains focused on the semantic web while WRIO Ltd - on the IoT platform powered by webRunes technologies.

So far they haven't given up on the idea of a machine-readable web 3.0 platform which is vital to Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. I think the time span for this project is around 10 years given the pace of IoT.

Sorry about that. Admins do stupid and inexplicable things and we simply can't rely on such an unreliable channel. Let us provide some information to clarify our decision.
At first, they temporally banned the current account for nothing (we barely managed to open the very first thread). After that, we had to relaunch our PR company and re-create the thread. About half a year later they banned the support account (the support team posted replies in our threads only, and was inactive last months at all) and even hadn't explain for what and ignored our emails. And finally, they deleted one of our threads were we collected feedback. After that, we decided to abandon bitcointalk.org considering the fact of admin's disregard for users.
We will try to post big announcements (if the current account won't be banned again) later, but if you would like to get news, we recommend to follow us at https://t.me/webRunes or other SM channels where there is no petty tyranny of the admins.
Thank you.
