Title: [ANN] - ALICOIN Post by: helloalicoin on February 08, 2018, 04:39:41 PM --- NEW ANNOUNCEMENT UPDATE ---
2018.02.18. Dear former and future miners and supporters of Alicoin, We apologize not providing prompt answers after we announced the coin. We are the developer team behind the project. The owners behind the business wanted this to be a fair launch, so that the coin is mineable by anyone whos willing to commit their computing resources into this project. On the business side, they need to offer coins to a very few selected investors in the very near future, so physically they wouldn’t have been able to offer them in such a short time period due to the popularity of the coin when it launched, with over a 100+ kH/s overall total network hashrate. Their decision was to relaunch the coin with a 40% premined balance on their side, from which they can fulfil any investors’ needs. Still, we take this matter seriously and responsibly and advise everyone not to buy a single Alicoin until the whole business starts publicly and transparently. Hope you understand, and we are sorry for the inconvenience. Regarding other requests:
NEW Wallet: Linux: https://alicoin.network/files/alicoin-linux.tar.gz Quote ------------ ORIGINAL MESSAGE FROM 2018.02.08.------------ Name: ALICOIN Description: Short summary, we created this project because we have serious intentions with it. We could write a lot of nice sentences here and still scam a lot of people, but we are not willing to follow this path. Rather we encourage everybody not to buy the coin at early stages, but help us stabilizing the network with some mining until we build up the business itself. If anyone offers you Alicoins until the major start has been announced on our website treat anything like that as scam. We will tell everything about the official launch later. This announcement is for purely for notification purposes, and as some help request that people donate some mining power to us :) Thank you! Have tried to setup through Linux but it gives tx authentication failed when I launch ./alicoin file in terminal. Though setup of linux wallet have been successfully completed. Also tried through windows setup https://ali.luckypool.io/#getting_started through crypto-note_easy_miner but unsuccessfully. Cryptonote-easy-miner.exe launches through crypto note miner panel but it seems that it does not work properly. See the picture https://ibb.co/hXLuLn Who can explain how to setup mining properly for this coin? can i download Title: Re: [ANN] - ALICOIN Post by: PotatoPants on February 11, 2018, 06:06:24 AM Linux Wallet seems to work fine for me, the Daemon syncs up and I can generate a Wallet within Simple Wallet.
I'm mining on the pool with a very modest GPU (a single 1050 , not even a GT) and getting around 200-250 HS, which gets me close to 4000 ALI a day I assume a decent Quad Core CPU would get about half of this, so if you're looking for a CPU coin to mine, this isn't too bad at all. At least you'll tick over a few thousand coins, which always seems psychologically better than mining all day and getting a fraction of a coin (although obviously coin values differ, so it doesn't always mean more is better) As to what the coin might be worth after you mine it..who knows..I guess it depends on the use case put forward by the Devs. tl;dr - The Linux Wallet works. The mining pool pays out. Its pretty easy to mine. Finally - Not having a Windows Wallet is a pain, but it is also an advantage for the small miners out there. I urge you to spin up a Virtual Machine and play with Linux. It's not really that hard, and you will get a really early start on some coins like this one. You can get started mining while others wait for the Windows Wallet and beat the rush. Title: Re: [ANN] - ALICOIN Post by: gfigg42 on February 12, 2018, 02:38:43 AM Linux wallet works. I mined 20,000 of them last night before I quit. All paid to the wallet.

i have some hashpower to spare why not try your coin ? difficulty is very low, so reward is high don't expect me to HODL once your coin hits an exchange, if it ever does, i will dump massively and probably scare a lot of would-be buyers i'm 99% sure than once you reveal more info about your project I will not care more than I care now sorry, I'm just telling it like it is ! that being said, I'm happily mining it :-) thank you kindly for setting up ali, good sir. Please read it. Thanks, The Alicoin Dev Team WTF relaunch with 40% pre mine, we are idiots >:( What a complete shambles by the Dev. Couldn't get a windows wallet up, and then burns the few early miners by relaunching. Then on top of that, a 40% pre-mine. How will I get 2 planes and a giant cat with treasure if the Dev carries on like this??? Title: Re: [ANN] - ALICOIN Post by: cecilia1 on February 17, 2018, 10:58:52 AM I'm sorry but 40% premine is a big red flag. Dev team can dump all of their pre-mined coin for an 'acceptable' amount of btc (if it managed to get listed on exchanges) and abandon the project. I would say I quit. Thanks and good luck, dev(s).

Title: Re: [ANN] - ALICOIN Post by: helloalicoin on February 19, 2018, 07:29:32 AM Dear former & future Supporters,
We do understand your concerns, and were on the very same opinion as you are now when the owners behind the business requested us to relaunch with (quite big) premine amount. But their reasoning was very simple, we either do the premine so they can fulfil their investors' needs, or we just can't. I would trust a coin behind which there are real business processes much more, than a 1947th coin which has nothing to offer really other than the previous ones. I know that we didn't list anything yet about the great business solution behind the project, but we can't at the moment (we have no permission from the owners). We agreed that we won't promote or endorse the coin we have built in any way until there is transparent straightful communication from the owners towards the community. So yes, the current situation right now is: - This coin is mineable - We welcome your mining power for securing the network - You shouldn't invest a single penny at the moment into Alicoins - There was a relaunch with a quite big premine for the owners Please keep in mind that there needs to be a reason for the premine, the owners are putting value into the coin with their business solution. Until then, either help us mining, but please do not go on with guessing without proper insights (we do not know all the details either btw.). We just got this job as developers. Our two main criteria for taking the job was the following: The project must not be aimed at scamming anybody on this planet. We took it for a minimal development fee, plus we will get the owner's shares'3%. So we are heavily interested in the development of this project. Stay tuned guys! We are discussing the swap possibility with the owners at the moment, we will get back on this topic soon. @gfigg42 and @Csouza : The owners now know that they had this one and single chance. We are very sorry for this and the owners do know that they can not pull off anything like this again, or they are not to be trusted. My personal opinion is that everyone deserves a second chance, but that's just me. Feel free to move away from this project if you can not agree with this by any means. Hope you guys stay though :) Thank you for everybody's support & the miners!
