Oho, here those forks reached too. Interestingly on how many it is perspective in general, I do not laugh even. At such events it is worth thinking how not to earn, and kind of not to lose those coins which you have at yourself in a purse. I think the price will be very low because the coin will not represent value. But good public relations just for dogs.  :D

I am surprised to see this fork at least when Doge is working much better whether it is faster transactions or cheaper transfers than Ethereum already. Why need of another Doge on Ethereum of which blockchain sometimes has congestion problems with expensive transactions?

No hard date for fork yet but only seasonal indicator to have estimation. What is immediate benefit of this is no panic buy if some people could think to do so. It is understandable that why it is still far because of development which needs by then. I will keep eye on update to see where it is going to.

In its current state of nature it is like an attempt to double the total supply of Doge though both are on different protocols and chains. Being direct fork of Doge it can be cause of hyperinflation. You could also argue that a lower supply with a higher price psychologically implies a smaller upside potential for the future price. It really doesn't matter that much what the supply is. The original DOGE would be where it is today even with a smaller or larger supply than it currently has.

It should be seamless process like other forks based on snapshot of blockchain of wallets at some specific time which will be knwon by everyone. If you have received forked coins in past it should be not event and smooth for you. Since Doge is being used widely for cheap transactions this thing made this fork interesting.

I agree, i've had minimal effort in the past with btc forks. Doge being such a fork of btc itself, should be just as seamless, and it is worth noting I brought this point up because the Doge Devs are working on a v1.14 release that's in public testing phase atm, so would be good if the dogethereum fork maybe occurs after.

Also to add, is dogethereum gonna be like a token on eth's platform meaning it'll be accessible from mist/geth or mew? if that's the case i don't see how we can import a dogecoin core private key onto eth's platform unless they made a way to do this???

You simply export key from DogeCore and import in Dogex compatible version of Ethereum Wallet and see your DOGX. For maximum security, before export, you can transfer all your Doge to new key after fork.

Block reward - 3 DOGX is calculated for healthy economy and balanced for both miners and investors. Reward is 10% which is much less comparing to some other networks where supply is not clear and devs just keep crazy numbers.

Tx fee is Ethereum like.

Our vision of DOGX funding development (payment for promo, ads, web servers, devs, updates) issue is that we don't spawn 10% extra supply at the very beginning but getting funds slowly over time.
Its basically the same like others, just inverted paradigm that as we expect will perform better at project start

Recently saw the project on the Internet and it became a little interesting that for the project and what from is based on. Decided to read at a forum. And now here I observe many voices of participants of a forum write that it is swindlers and the project not really good in quality. And someone is and trusts in the project and waits when the coin flies to the moon. There is also no opinion different accurate clarity again, however so always occurs.

I left this project when they changed their statement 1:1 dogx and now they are saying we have received many request to do 10,000:1 dogx hahaha it shows that they are scam and lie. A reputable or Trustful person never lie . its scam like litecoin cash

Two Github repositories, don't seem related.

However, I don't see any actual Dogethereum Client ( Wallet ) ... only a fork of dogecoin's wallet on the main Dogethereum git ( https://github.com/dogethereum/dogecoin ), which is on the same code as dogecoin's core repo  ( Latest commit 10a5e93  on Jan 21 )

I didn't say you don't deserve any income. Again, this would be a problem later on if you get 10% of a working network as income. Imagine there was a 10% fee in Bitcoin for developers :D Would you say it is fair or not? Just answer that question please.

As I see it there is only an announcement that a new (shit)coin fork will come and they face technical problems doing it.
The devs get 10% rewards of the whole networks, without any invest or risks on their "own" project.
How to pay the fee to list this coin on exchanges? Lack on information just before the start - how will the communication look like in 3, 6 or 12 months? Does this project sounds also good if you change the coinnames to other ones like BBQ or Karmacoin?

People want to believe that there is profit for themselves, but always rembemer there is no free lunch.

so they take 10000 doge which is 400000 Satoshi for one of their fake shitcoins. it is not a fork at all, you can call it airdrop if you want.

Guys, this isn't something the Dogecoin founders or the development team responsible for Dogecoin Core are involved in. You can of course jump into whatever projects you like, but please stop asking us about this.

There's work on sidechaining Doge & Ethereum, but that's not a new currency, it's using 1:1 mapped tokens on the Ethereum chain to represent Dogecoins, and they're fixed in value (there's a 1 Doge = 1 Doge joke here, but... seriously, 1 Doge = 1 Doge token in this case). The team working on that is still doing R&D and we don't have any estimated shipping date from them.

Clarifications on release delay

We had disputes in dev team about whether Dogx should be free, with no premine and ICO. It's hard to work without funding but we've deviced to carry on as we promised in first post. Because of that not everyone have chosen to continue work and we had to emergency recreate pieces of software to make successful snapshot.
We are grateful for support and questions about Dogx project to all crypto community!
Now crisis has passed and network is operational. Snapshot is successfully done on 2157611 block with 10000 DOGE : 1 DOGX.

So, hello, I am Sporklin of the Dogecoin Core Developer team. You, are, I have no idea who you are; in fact no one really does. What is known however is that someone in your name of project has taken it upon themselves to speak to the press, cryptocommunities and exchanges in very interesting manners.

I have had to field press inquiries, community questions, and questions from exchange admins in relation to your people speaking in a manner about your project that is far from clear to even flat out incorrect.

I would like this rectified, immediately.

You have nothing to do with the existing Dogecoin-Ethereum bridge project. Which is something heavily implied with a huge majority of your related press. You even use the name of their project as your user name here though you have no association with them. The Dogecoin-Eth bridge project is named Dogether and has had this name; for years. No one in your project has anything to do with it, at all. We have even gone so far to make sure in the overall bounty project that your project was not involved, just to be sure.

There is no hardfork of Dogecoin coming, at all. I say this as one of the people who have a say in the event. So I am curious why your people are portraying your project as a hard fork in the press, and the communities of the coin. This has leaked into our communities and been picked up as press relating to us to the point community members are asking ever more questions about it. Especially as there is no fork at all involved in what you are doing, and you have no involvement with Dogecoin in the manner to which hard forking would be an option to you. This is spread fairly through most articles, and easily found.

The contact to the exchanges themselves on your behalf, have gotten slightly annoying. As a team, we do maintain open contact with many of our larger exchanges which has been very helpful over the years. Someone contacting them in the name of your project has been heavily implying that you are a hard fork of Dogecoin and that there is pending implementation of your protocol on our blockchain. This is not true to any form, degree or even skew of the words in play. Having to answer queries from exchange admins worried that somehow they were forgotten in our notification system, on account of your project; is not something I care to do. Nor have they liked to be informed that them being contacted in the manner they were was entirely flawed information.

What you are doing is cloning Dogecoin's name onto Eth, which congratulations you can make a token.

I understand you have something you wish to do, I get that. What I do not understand is why several weeks later, there are still these comments being made in public to portray your project having anything to do with Dogecoin apart from a basis of a snapshot of the blockchain and taking part of the name. More over why you are not correcting the implication you have anything to do with the Doge-Eth bridge project. Oddly how there could be any confusion between your token and contacting to an exchange to try to have them forked into your asset over our main chain.

As a group we have been fairly careful what we stated in public in relation to your project hoping some middle ground, or corrections from your side would come in relation. However, they have yet to; where as more and more seem to be getting confused by the terms you are using to advertise your project.

This is the final attempt at communication to clear this up, we have already tried all mediums you make public in attempts to contact. So this is where we are now in public, making this sort of post which is a first for our team and myself. A final throw before progressing further in what is becoming ever more clear is something not on the level. Failing this, we will use the fullest extent of media, public, communal and direct exchange contacts to make it very clear that you are misleading not only the general crypto community, but the Dogecoin communities, and the Ethereum ones.

We will start to take the refusal to communicate or correct the misinformation as very intentional misleading money grabbing scam attempt. People who are doing things on the level tend not to want so much incorrect information about their project out there, your project however is nothing but misleading information at this point as nothing is actually honest to date.

I personally hope some middle ground or clearer communication can be had. You have nothing to do with the bridge project, you are most certainly not a hard fork of Dogecoin, you have nothing to do with Dogecoin forking at all. Statements such as this are false, counterproductive to whatever it is you are attempting to do, harmful to our community and harmful to any hope of association you wish to have with any future exchanges.

I truly do hope to hear from you soon, as we already have several people awaiting commentary from us for press release about this matter.

An answer, or resolving this; would be great.

Dear Sporklin, you are right, this project is not Ethereum-Dogecoin bridge. This is snapshot based hardfork of Dogecoin on Ethereum engine. Some bloggers really cause confuse because can't see difference between Bridge and Coin. It's Dogethereum Coin, not bridge.

Everyone is already tired that Dogecoin devs make no updates (last update 2015), everyone is tired of Dogecoin devs didn't write a single line of code while taking complete sources. Mining on GPU is destroyed, currency is very slow, no evolution at all, just standing still when other currencies are running forward. We take initiative in our hands same as did current Bitcoin developers. We want to bring to community something new, new solution with smartcontracts, fast speed and mining, and you 'devs' who don't have a single update since 2015 accusing us of something.

It seems to me like you are seriously the only one who is realizing this is some kind of scam. People don't even seem to read or double check any information they are given on bitcointalk.
The dev of this project doesn't even seem to care enough to double check his grammar when releasing an official post.

DOGX DEVS have made it hard to promote DOGX because of the way they rolled out this project. They need to be completely honest about what they're doing. I think this coin has the potential to be great but DOGX has upset the Dogecoin community because of the things that they have said. I think the DOGX community should hire a PR firm. This was a disaster of a rollout.

Colleagues. And who did this forge of coin Doge? Is the developer the same or different? I would like information about the team to see.

The developers of the DOGX and the Dogecoin are different groups of people.
DOGX developers remain anonymous and I get the sense that they are located in Ukraine or Russia.
Their English is also very poor and because of that, the roll out of this coin has been a disaster.
However, I like DOGX...it's simple to mine because of the low difficulty and I think it could have a great potential if the developers would better communicate and market this project.

when do you plan to fix your wallet, my coins always go missing for days. I never know if my coins will be in my wallet when I open it, it's like a surprise if its there. This is brutal, no wonder you can't get investors, I wouldn't invest in a group that can't even resolve their wallet issue. your coin is junk if the wallet doesn't work. Please fix it.

Of course, before the hard fork, I would like to see how Dogethereum will cope with transactions in the main network, but this is nothing.

The scam would've been if the devs were selling these coins in an ICO and then did nothing to get this coin on an exchange. but all they did was an airdop, free coins. just paperweight now. they left it on the community to make something of it ....

Those are 2 separate projects and have nothing to do with eachother. There's Dogethereum (DOGX) - the currency (which this thread is for) and there's Dogethereum - a bridge between DOGE and ETH chains (the reason behind the recent DOGE price surge).

Yes, with this then there will be problems when there will be listing on stock exchanges. We should advance to this team in advance otherwise we will have to rebrand and change everything.

If team was succeeding to get some support form few exchange for the fork then situation could be different. It is big advantage when immediately after fork token or coin has market available. In present situation not being on any significant exchange everything looks very difficult to start from zero. Doge is on the fire these days and everyone is talking about that.

Hardfork of network DOGE took place 30.03.2018 on the block 2157611.
Exchanges dont support fork.

There was no forking of the Doge main net. A hark fork means there would be two distinct chains coming off from the main net chain, and normally one takes over the other by consensus of the network (for example the chain with the more miners/hashrate). 

This is not the case with Dogethereum. This is a completely separate coin/chain that has no connection (you can't follow a block explorer back to the original chain) with the doge network whatsoever. It just gave some users free coin by "insta-mining" the equivalent number of dogethereum on its own network to match at a 10000:1 ratio with what a user had in their wallet on the doge mainnet at/or before block 2157611. It simply did this by looking up your doge wallet balance on doge's main net explorer with the private key that you provided. 

Please don't confuse this with being a fork at all. Otherwise the exchanges that all running doge right now would have to have updated their daemons.

Firstly, if you do not have a pre-location then where will you pay the bounty?
And secondly, you use the etherium blockchain, which means it shows that you have a lack of technical knowledge. Trying to copy a real and working project does not sound very good.

If there is a problem with the explorer, it means that this project could not stand the competition.
And it is logical considering that the project which they copied looks better in everything. Starting from the community and ending with the exchanges.

word of caution, it's probably likely an exchange will not keep a coin if it's explorer isn't working.

it was a scam from the get go, even the real doge devs recognized it as such. it was nothing more than a copy of the eth chain renamed to dogethereum. nevertheless, it was free coins anyway, and it helped to inadvertently pump doge, which probably was its intention anyway, sly and conniving, so hopefully ppl made some profits...

but this project itself does not appear to present any real world applicable usage, further development. However it does seem to be still trading on stex at about half the price of doge.

Just started mining DogX and so far like the hashrates I'm getting. But I'm having a "weird" problem with the Dogethereum wallet client that I'm using. I understand that the client has to download the blockchain in order to ensure that the transactions to and from your account are valid, but I would like to point the client to a different folder when downloading all that data. My primary drive (C drive) is an SSD and it is at roughly 70% capacity at the moment. I have a second, similarly sized SSD (D drive) purely for data storage that is mostly empty currently. I want to install the wallet into and have the blockchain download to the D drive. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the wallet several times and tried to point the wallet to the drive with more space but have had no luck in changing the download location of the blockchain data. Any advice would be appreciated>
