It is the second Post-Soviet country that made such a step, the first one was Belarus.

I think that this is bigger news than just legalizing cryptocurrencies. They are going to actively explore its uses and that can only grow interest and support. Hopefully some larger countries can follow their lead.

This is great news for cryptocurrencies however its not surprising as it clear that  this will become the mode of doing business within our borders and outside . The goal was never to give cryptocurrencies a hard time and perhaps everything would have gone differently had the powers that be done some sort of sensitization before unleashing this very powerful tool of change on the general population, people are afraid at first of things that will have a significant impact if they don't have enough knowledge about it especially if the people who they look to for guidance on financial matters are against it .money plays a significant role in world politics and as such this period of transitioning will definitely not be an easy one as people do not find it easy to walk away from power.(which is what they will have to do if they dont smell the coffee and get in line).

I see that not so rich countires are legalising cryptocurrency such as venezuela or uzbekistan. I am trying to analyse the reason and the results of this period. I think the title is misleading if you read the article the point is their president "approved the creation of a competence center for distributed registry technologies at the Mirzo Innovation Center Innovation Center. Yes. Most of the countries try to legalize bitcoin are developing ones. Rules in developed countries are usually more strictly. Taxes in developed countries are much higher. Developed countries also don't want their economic to be in risk.

That could be a boost for investors in cryptocurrency. More and more countries feel like cryptocurrency plays a vital part in the economy if regulated and run properly with a much secure wallet to avoid crimes. This could guve people sone financial opportunity and another means of income.

Yes well sooner or later crypto will step in. But lets face it crypto is nightmare for adopting. Several hundred years of one system could be changed with another one that exists only 10 years and it is created by ordinary people with brain power.

I would struggle to believe in any government that bans cryptocurrency. There is no need, it doesn't need to threaten the national currency, it can supplement or even improve it. I would assume I am living in a dictatorship if my country banned crypto, that would be cause for rebellion.

You can't run from cryptocurrencies so good step is to legalize it and try to regulate some aspects of it. Good to hear. Countries start picking up cryptocurrency and legalize them. I still haven't get a clear picture of what activities will be allowed after the bill get passed. Will they allow everybody to make a transaction using cryptocurrency? Or are people only allowed to trade them as a property? Kinda sad that not everybody is on the same page, like their central bank guy who said virtual money is a tool to finance terrorism. Will they become cooperative after this?

This is fairly great news! More and more countries are now showing interest to accept and recognize bitcoin as a digital currency. This will strengthen and stabilize the digital platform in an eventual manner. Although this would entail that regulations will be put in place, but this is nonetheless, great news guys!

Creating their own cryptocurrency will be likely to be useless. There are countries who are doing this and if they will implement strict rules of using only their cryptocurrency it will be beneficial to them. But we all know that everyone wants to get involved in bitcoin market and even they create one that's only specific for their country, people will tend to stay to bitcoin.

This is really a very good news and other such news has been coming from other places too. I would like the blockchain technology to develop further.You are talking about Belarus and Russia. Has anyone seen the Belarusian stock Exchange? The Russian stock exchange is also located on the territory of other States. For example, in the Netherlands. These States are subject to EU sanctions.So there are restrictions on the use of cryptocurrencies.It is not necessary to compare Uzbekistan with Russia and Belarus.

Unfortunately, these are too small and poor countries to somehow affect the cost of bitcoin :(

       Uzbekistan is the leading producer of electricity so the mining expense is too low  since the electricity is cheap they are going to legalize Bitcoin this will be a good news for the cryptoworld . Let other countries also try to legalize Bitcoin and so the value of Bitcoin may increase . These countries will also gradually join the crypto currency and the process will go. Soon the legislative body of Ukraine should look at the submitted two draft laws on the legalization of the crypto currency, one of which provides for complete exemption from taxation of any operations with the crypto currency. Wow this really amazing. First we have Philippines, Germany and now we have Uzbekistan these 3 countries are a blessing to the cryptocurrency community this 2018. Yes it will add a country that has a positive view of Bitcoin. It will be very helpful and make Bitcoin growing. I really miss when the price of Bitcoin reaches 15.000USD and I want to see the price of Bitcoin achieve it again, With the support of various parties, institutions, agencies and government then I am very optimistic that it can be achieved.

great news! well, in one row a lot of countries that razreshayut the development of the crypto world! but it would be very good if the resolution would start in European countries, in America and in Asian countries! when these countries completely untie their hands, then the development of the entire world economy will begin faster! and then all over the world will be the legalization of bitcoin and the whole crypto world!

Because like in my country BTC is not an illegal one, it has been recognized by the state but only limited to one type of futures investment, but to be used as a transaction tool as a full currency, it cannot be because the law is hindered, because according to the law in my country only an official state currency can be used as a transaction tool

Its a great thing for the Uzbekistan residents. I've often wondered why it is taking governments such a long time before promoting the acquisition of cryptos by their citizens. The first nations to do this will gain a significant competitive advantage over the rest of the world.

Nowadays there are a lot countries are accepting cryptocurrency, I think because they saw a potential to it. It seems that some country is going to trust and believe to it and I think its great news because possible the country accept crypto will increased even more. Though uzbekistan is not that big country and just a small part of Soviet Union yet this is one positive news about cryptocurrency andnot only bitcoin
