Title: Bitcoin had a drop recently, that means is a good time to buy some?

I am a new user of this, still learning on how it works and not sure how to start buying.

Now, just after the drop, will be a good time?

The general rule is buy low and sell high but it depends on your expectations and your goals. The price is low relative to where it was a week ago but high relative to 2 weeks ago, then again it's very low compared to just a couple of months ago.

If you believe in bitcoin and are in it for the long term then the decision is much easier because you can be safe in your assumption the price will continue to grow and reach a new ATH later this year. With that in mind it seems like a good time to buy right now.

Bitcoin should be purchased at the most lowest price that you can enter into. Now would be okay or around $8, if it goes down there.

This is a great time to buy bitcoin when the price falls now, it's a wonderful opportunity, I also made a purchase for some bitcoins because I am very happy with the price now and I hold on until later when the bitcoin price reaches $ 50,000.

I believe that it is indeed a good time to invest. We should remember that no crash is permanent and with that, market will surely recover soon and it also means that profit will then be earned. Rather than to be worried of the backdrop on its market value, we should be excited because it is an obvious opportunity to earn profit because after every dips, recovery will take over.

if asking the bitcoiner veterans today's is the right time to buy  bitcoin go down dip again their preice in the marketcap is difficult to explain what is the reason bitcoin price down the price, in my observation i think because end of the month people withdraw their funds to pay the utilities consumption and the daily family needs. after that's bitcoin rise again the price in the marketcap.

but it never touches that price, i think @9k is a good price and this price swinging at 10k and 9k is an indicator that bitcoin's price become a bit stable in the past few days, this could be the best time to buy since once the price will go up again it's an easy profit for everyone again  :D

Buy low, sell high. If you think that the recent crash of bitcoin is the lowest value of its price then you can buy some bitcoins because surely, it will goes up.
In my analysis, bitcoin will moves up at the end of February. And I guess this is the right time to buy some.

The problem is you never know when the bottom is. The key is to have a plan and stick to your plan. Know when you want to get in and when you want to take profits or a stop-loss. You should know going into each position what you would do given various scenarios, say price tanks 25%, do you hodl or cash out? What about 35% 50% 75%?  If you can't answer that question before you enter, then you shouldn't enter.

The same works for the reverse. How many people took profits early then watch the market take off after they exited their positions? You need to know when you'll exit. What's the plan? Perhaps take partial profits at certain intervals. If you have a plan and stick to it, you won't second guess yourself when the market gets agitated and feelings of fear & greed take over.

Well if the market is down then buy don't hesitate to buy, Dont sell too early but hold it and sell if the month is bullish. Don't forget to treat yourself first before your family and friends. In Bitcoin we trust!

How bitcoin works is very practical, we can buy at a time when prices fall like this and let for some time until the price rises and our profits can, and now is indeed a very good opportunity.

The bitcoin drop is not always mean that you have to buy it. It could be too early and the price can drop more and even worst
Thats why learning about technical analysis on trading is also importany

It seems like it is a good opportunity to buy some more right now , it looks like the price is consolidating at this level. Most predictions say the price will go even higher after the Chinese new year is over , but take it with a grain of salt and pick a good entry point for yourself.

well you missed the best time to buy, but now is pretty decent. The volatility slowed down so that's a good sign. The next thing to happen is for the price to start heading back on that upward trend. We went parabolic for a bit there but we'll get back on a closer-to-linear growth for this year, then more adoption will put us right back into the exponential growth.

Right. The price at the moment may seen a little dip so if you really want to purchase right now, then go for it.Today might still be a good chance to make an additional of your coins. And once it will be back to a more soaring price again, because i'm sure it will, then you will start to gain much profit already. But if it goes lower just like the past scenario, stay calm and just hold your coins for a long-term investment.

No one can tell you what time is good, so nobody doesn't know. But if you wanted to buy BTC, i think you were try when price dumped 6k. Now 10k almost. I think you should try altcoins rather than BTC to earn profits, so altcoins more profitable than BTC.

Only few new comers will attept to try and buy the dip everytime there’s a correction/crash in fears that they will lose eventually. Others are also busy panic selling their bitcoin and their crypto assets. It’s time to buy the dip now and HODL.

Yes when the price of bitcoin was low it is the prefect time to buy, and wait till the price goes up,  but still it is depend on your judgement, if you feel that the price of bitcoin was perfect for you to buy then go, and when you feel that it is the right time to sell your coin which can give you a chance to earn then sell it.

Better time to buy than $12k for sure, since you have the benefit of hindsight.

I can see bitcoin floating around $9k-10k for a while before reentering the $10k level. After $10k is hit the growth should actually accelerate and the recovery could easily take bitcoin to the starting price of the year, which is around $14k which we haven't seen since early january.

Ultimately, it depends on you. If you feel like you have the financial ability to buy some more and is willing to take the risk, then go ahead and do it. Nothing is guaranteed or black and white when it comes to btc speculation though.

Expect some panic dumps after bitcoin price continues to stay under $10k.

Buying some now isn't really about what the price is. It's more about what your personal strategy is.

I would recommend doing some dollar cost averaging when buying coins, aka buying in equal chunks regardless of the price, as long as the price is below $9-10k. That way, you're not getting the best deal, but at least you're not getting the worst either. It's a good strategy to start buying coins for the long term.

If you're speculating short term, buy when prices drop to $8-8.5k and buy there, wait for the recovery back up to $10k+ and go from there. Just my opinion though.

if you want to buy make sure you can buy what amount you can afford to lose because investing in bitcoin is very risky  due to the fluctuation that always happen nowadays,  and besides  your a newbie  for sure you have not enough knowledge about doing investment,  so i suggest to read some blog or tutorial to gain more knowledge on how to buy in a right time and how to prevent loses in doing investment. And for sure you can make your own strategy also from it .

Bitcoin, just like other part of investment is good to invest when the price is low and sell when the price is high. now provide the best time for you to invest in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It take a good understanding for one to actually buy when the price is low.

Numerous speculations; positive and negative, will give you lots of options on what to do and eventually it will lead you into confusions. What you must understand is the risks once you bought bitcoin and not the proper time. Anytime "can be" a good time and for others there are lots of considerations before they will buy.

If you plan to hold bitcoin for long term purposes then you don't have to worry (at least) on the price rate. If you have the guts to face the risks then do the buying. If not, then just refrain at the moment.

No one knows what will happened. Maybe tomorrow, it will crash, maybe it will pump hard etc etc.

Your decision...

Thank you all, I've been reading you but not finished yet...

Trying to understand what you're saying can't help to compare the situation with Venezuela. Right now , there is no cash, no Bs anywhere. Dollar market is ruled by Dolar Today an instagram account that determines the price and according to that other people sell/buy. When is low, a lot of people looks to buy some in order to get a good price and if it goes up, people will hold on buying but trying to sell as soon as possible.

Is this a fair comparison? Has been going down slowly in the past last week and a half.

This is a good time to buy when bitcoin prices fall like this, do not hesitate to buy bitcoin because I'm sure that by the end of 2018 bitcoin will surge in price and that's what we want.
Waiting for a perfect moment for a long term investor is what has made a lot of people to miss a good buying opportunity. I always tell people that as long as you do not know when to buy, just buy in as much as you are not buying into fomo and you are buying at dip. This period is good, and you can even decide to play with some margin by buying in bit by bit until you decide to go fully in once the trend of the market changes.

If you are planning to be a long term holder, you are still in a very good buy zone and you have nothing to worry about. You are still better than buying at the top anyway. We are still in a downtrend channel, and you are still buying at the dip, so you should be fine in the long run, the most important thing is to buying, forget about whatever is happening with the market and come back probably in a year's time.

traders' traditions are buying when the price falls, if you are still learning I suggest you do not invest in a single coin. you can invest your money in altcoin like Eth, xrp, litecoin and others. these coins are very profitable also if invested and its potential is very good especially Eth that can be called a child of bitcoin. if you want to get success from the current situation, you have to take action, do not regret it at the end of the show. :-*

indeed the price is still still heartbreaking, but this is still fairly normal. I am also still considering this situation, whether I should buy or not? his problem i am still considering his capital haha i want to buy bitcoin and some other coins as well.

If you look at the chart price of bitcoin, yes now is the right time to buy bitcoin. Because bitcoin price has reached $ 20,000 before, but the question is will bitcoin price rise again or even exceed the $20,000 price? So I think if you have a lot of time in the world of crypto you can try trading first, by way of trading you can increase your capital. After that if bitcoin price goes up as it happened before you can change trading with investment and hold as you can.

It's a good timing to buy if bitcoin's market value dropped drastically. As what others are doing, buying the dip is really a good idea just like when bitcoin plummets down to 5K USD mark because that is a very rare situation of buying bitcoin at a very low price.

Trading on the stock exchange also enables you to profit regardless of the price of bitcoin. Buy and sell bitcoin always.

Really for someone who is holding for very long positions anyway, and there is no knowledge to analyze the chart to know when to buy in, I would rather say, they start buying in margins. We have gone down and we do not know how long we can still go, but the market will always recover, so in that case, buying in percentages is always good enough and at least you have yourself covered even if the market goes down more, or it starts recovering.

Bitcoin should be purchased at the most lowest price that you can enter into. Now would be okay or around $8, if it goes down there.
I would not be surprised if some people may still be looking for something lower than what we already had which even made some long term holders to have missed a mouthwatering offer at $6000 less. No one can predict when we will break out from the downtrend channel, but at least, we will at some point, and the most important thing is to make use of the present moment to stash in more, which I believe every investor must be considering by now anyway.

For most investors they buy bitcoin when the price is in a big drop and just wait for it to rise up again but others wont mind the current price of bitcoin as long as they have funds to buy some. Just make sure you invest what you can afford to lose. And patience is a must too. Good luck!

Well even every day, the price of bitcoin drops and goes up at times. So if you want to get in, try to time your entry during dips. The drop last january would probably not happen again soon and waiting for the next one may get you to miss a lot of opportunities.

Already many investors are starting to buy and grow his business at a time like this price. You are right this is the right time to buy it, as a new user you have to learn a lot and see the news coming recently so you can better understand and mature to make strategy.
Advice from me, if you have a large capital buy some altcoins as well, do not just rely on a single coin like bitcoin alone, so you get a lot of profit in the future. I think this is suitable for new users / investors.
