Title: What makes a good bounty program?
Post by: Cybeerian on February 27, 2018, 01:37:50 AM
Hi,

I'm considering helping a friend with an ICO later in the year and I'm looking into Bounty programs. Seeing as a lot of the bounties are paid to people here, I was wondering if there were aspects of bounty programs that people love, and bits they hate. If you were designing a bounty program what would you put in, and what would you leave out.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure the bounty you are promoting has good hype surrounding the project. That way it's more likely Soft Cap will be reached and you can actually be paid.

What makes a good bounty program? The team. Tge admin should be kind and nice to their members. Also their project so that we can share them via signature campaign and bring their campaign through signture.

I think it's a good and clear set of teams, having a unique idea, a total supply coin, a clear ico path. In my opinion, of all that is enough to attract fans of investors and bounty hunter.

the aspects of bounty programs that people loves is to have  good to be true announcement. it is more suspicious if the projects are more ambitious than what they really can. i mean to have a honestly and humble announcement for the program they can really attract investors. and the bit they hate are those projects that has more talks than work.

1. quality of the project (usefulness, team, roadmap)
2. hype
3. bounty interface (how you report the work and present stakes)

I only invest ( take part ) from ICO program if the have technology concept and realistic ICO target. Technology is part of the world and always grow up fast with new ideas create services for customers. ICO must realistic, meaning not too high and only sell promises with out proof. Realistic is relative but if they always update information and fix member problem fast, I'll join the program. Never interesting to join ICO with adult concept, I get loss from that one.

1.  Easily trackable and frequently updated stakes
2.  Responsive bounty manager
3.  Good bounty rewards
4.  Quality project
5.  Not overwhelming tasks

If I am in your position, I will give additional value / additional stake for the signature campaign for anyone who has good post quality.  There are some people who really do not understand about the rules of bounty, this is where the manager's role explains in detail if there is a question on the telegram..That's what I like ;)

The following things make a good bounty program.

A good bounty program should

1. Be a private program that is easier to scale, plus the signal-to-noise ratio of bad bug reports is significantly lower.

2. Be an incentive program.

3. Be best attractive to the hackers.

4. Be as transparent as possible which offers ample guidelines, and clearly communicates what hackers can expect to happen after they submit a vulnerability report.

5. Be a strong communicator. Make communicating with hackers a top priority. To avoid any confusion or unrealistic expectations with them, ensure that your program is as transparent as possible, offers ample guidelines, and clearly communicates what hackers can expect to happen after they submit a vulnerability report.

6. Hire the best. Recruitment of best hackers as employees or contractors.

In my experience here in forum, one thing I noticed about promising projects is the way they make their Advertisements. Usually the ones who managed by reliable devs will make your bounty campaign experience more worth it and it is easily to identify by just following them through social media sites.

As of now I only have 2 projects in my profile, first is WePower, second is Vestarin and I have a good grasp on these two projects until the end of this year. It takes a lot of research before you could convince yourself on whether a certain project is good or just a waste of time.

You can find a good bounty managers company or a bounty manager, they have many times published a bounty thread experience, so they can give you some professional guidance, and most of the time this charge is not particularly high.

A bounty program is only as good a its ability to demonstrate its  pay for the bounty.if the program cant pay then there's no need to,. the people and teams participating in the hunt is also a important pointer, serious and legitimate bounties attract established hunters, be sure to consider this as a tip.

First of all website and whitepaper is the key for the good bounty program and it helps the investors to differentiate from the scam projects, and then the team of developers and their background is important if already have good experience in this field then that is a good program or project.

When a bounty program has a good contributions to the society and is backed up by a very strong team it always said to be successful, as this factors will attract more investors to participate and thus   increases the sales rate.

In my own understanding in choosing for a good bounty campaign program is that we need to take the following considerations.
a) Need to select for a good bounty campaign manager
b) Currency of bounty campaigns are paying payment in BTC or ETH which are already available in market but most of the campaigns are paying in their own token which will be available in exchange market only if ICO will be a success.
c) Experienced Team that handles the project
d) Idea of the Project should be unique and should have a clear purpose written in the Whitepaper.

I would choose a project that would be a good bounty manager, and I would avoid the level of the bounty manager only for JR members and members.
Because most of the time, a good bounty manager means that you are guaranteed a bounty for your participation in the bounty thread.

Too many people running bounty campaigns forget that the whole point of the bounty campaign is to actually get people to invest.

Get people to retweet and repost your social media, don't get them to write their own tweets and posts because most of them will be poorly written and often misrepresent your project. Limit them to 1 retweet/repost per day. Make sure you post daily in your social media.

Spend some money on producing good graphic and video elements for people to share.

Don't try and reinvent the wheel, have people report their activity weekly in the bounty thread and not through some convoluted process.

Keep actively communicating with the bounty participants and have a clear channel to answer bounty questions such as a dedicated Telegram channel.

Make sure that it has ever paid before or if its still starting, make sure that there's an escrow for that bounty.
But if nothing has existed to what I suggested then the last option is there is a very trusted campaign manager that is managing that campaign.

For me,  a good bounty is when it has already a working project. They will just use bounty campaigns so that their company or a website will become known to everyone. Advisors must also have contact with the team and they should respond to the people queries as soon as possible.  Ofcourse the vision is good which you can see in the whitepaper.

What I like most about bounty campaigns is the campaign manager must be friendly. I've joined a campaign before and the manager sends update through a PM whenever there are updates. Inquiries should be answered always so that participants can feel how serious is the team when regards to the project.

The manager is experience people who allready handle lot of campaign before, the rest is just like when you decide to join an ICOs you look at the team, the project, and do that project interesting for you.

I'm also a bounty hunter, I think you can see a good bounty program handled by a good bounty manager or agent like Hero member or Legendary, they have repeatedly published a gift thread experience, so they can give you some professional guides, less complicated rules about campaigning and having a large bounty pool.

It depends on the budget of the bounty. Some are percentage based and some are token based. Best to check the hype of the ICO. If the ico raise less money, means your bounty will be less. Thus its important to DYOR first. I would say invest in Medichain ico, is the next big thing. Great team and developers. I am currently invested big on this project. Its a unique project that will benefit in the medical industry. new tech with real world solution. Please look into it. You'll not regret on your investment.

I think they should be simple and exact. I honestly dont see the benefit of making a facebook and twitter posting campaigns, given how many people made a profession out of it and have no reach in crypto communities whatsover. Just people with fake FB profiles wth 1300 fake friends posting with no likes and reach at all.

I have not much expirience in biunty but in my opinion if you want to find good bounty programs, you should check some important things,
such as Website, Whitepaper, Team of project and Social Media. After that you an join.

Title: Re: What makes a good bounty program?

In my own experience, these are the factors of a good bounty program.

One is the team. Are they transparent?? Are they easy to contact? Do they update their investors about their project always?

Second is the project. Will their project benefits the investors? Will it help other people in their daily lives?

Third is the Whitepaper, website and anything that are explaining their project.

Fourth is their marketing strategy. This is one of the most important in a bounty program.

Last is the bounty campaign manager that manages the bounty program. For me, a more reputable bounty campaign manager attracts more bounty hunters and therefore, more will promote the project and then more investors can see it.

There are some I think but these are some that I know.

For me a good bounty program is being managed by top or trusted campaign managers here in bitcointalk, huge bounty pool and  having a good whitepaper of the ICO itself and not so complicated rules regarding campaigns.

There are a lot of ICO that will fail so I think that the best way is actually to spend time and read more about the project you want to do bounty.
Then look at bounty manager if it's well known and trusted.

If you plan to look into bounty programs for icos
You could be mistaken

But neutrally as a researcher, your need to find out about the project , their product as informed in the whitepaper as well

But most importantly look for a project with a substantial product

I will say this. The rules of the bounty company themselves should not be too complicated as the admin constantly has to solve problems.
An example of say 2 articles per week, with no 1000 words. And how do we say such a company?
A good example of a signature. 10 posts per week. Up to 15 posts a week every next post +1 steak

A lot of factors make a good bounty program and always that a bounty program is as successful as the project/ICO. The bounty pool is very important, as this determines how much of a piece of the pie you'll get. Secondly, there should be considerable hype around the project itself, as this will determine if there will be value attached to the token paid. Escrow services are also of importance, bounties that employ such services are termed serious and honest.

I think the most important things about bounty programs is the project. Because firstly you need to choose best project. You can join some bounties but they can be drop 90 percentage before you sell.
So you need to choose best one with good team and with best projects. That will be trustable and you can earn some money from these bounties.

Note that hype can be bought nowadays with just a over 100$ and can create a fake hype and mislead people into investing scams at times as well leaving you unpaid for your work done.

So I don't think hype is a good way to judge whether a bounty program is good or bad.

A good bounty program is usually dependent on how effective their bounty manager is, some are so lazy that they are not even updating the spreadsheets every week and bounties like this discourage people from joining in on the bounty campaign. Also one that does not have ridiculous terms and conditions to be able to join the bounty

Well, bounty manager is just one piece of the puzzle but there is so much more to a good bounty program as far as I am concerned with most of it balling down to the whole team of developers as a whole.

I understand that some bounty program managers can be so bad sometimes that you get pissed off at the way they tend to do things unprofessionally, and that is one thing to always try to look for, but it is not the major criteria, what is important is to know whether the project is something that would be worth doing a bounty for and whether it has a good prospect for the future which should be the main criteria when it comes to bounty campaign participation.

Absolutely! Hype is not a very good way to start knowing if a bounty is good as even bad and shitty projects can be hyped sometimes with very good marketing campaigns. What is most important when it comes to being able to understand if a bounty program is good is to understand if the project itself is good enough to want to invest in, if you want to go in with real funds.

You cannot know that unless you of course see yourself as an investor and check the things an investor would check before even attempting which is the product availability, the legitimacy of the team and the solutions they are actually proffering.

In my opinion, the most important thing in the bounty of the company (in addition to the big payouts of course) is a real-time job Manager, update the bounty table in short time, the answers to the questions\the claims of the hunters.

Completely agree with you. And want to add that good work of the Bounty manager we will get when the amount of participants will be limited, and not by too complicated rules, but  just limited in amount. So there are more chances to get  good reward after distribution, and  it is easier to calculate all stakes and check the participants, how they did their tasks. Of course it is great when the manager is active and communicate with participants, It shows that the campaign is alive and is moving forward.

This year is the bad year for the bounty hunters. So many scam ICO and we won't get the payment at all. even they delayed the payment for any reason (bounty hunters have no power to push them hard). I lost the value worth 0.1 BTC for Ely cos the 3 months delays for payment. and now it only 0.01 BTC worth. This is so frustrating sometimes.

A good bounty is really very difficult to find. But now I have learned to do it and determine the quality is very easy - you just need to look at the development team and immediately everything becomes clear about the quality of work
It can be easily fake, and you can not evaluate the project through the dev team. You need to find more information. But if you are just a bounty hunter, then it is best to join the bounty of famous managers here. Look for people who have managed many successful bounty, because they have a lot of experience in selecting projects

The main thing is the correct documentation. It needs to be studied thoroughly. If you miss any important point in it, we can say that you were looking for a project in vain. For me, this is one of the most important indicators

A good bounty programme makes a good ICO. If the project looks like garbage, the bounty programme will be also garbage. Find a great ICO and research if they are offering a bounty programme. It also depends on a bounty manager, so I would also recommend to check the manager as well.

In my opinion, there should be a great team with a good Manager, a technical document,an advanced website,as well as good advertising in social networks and media, marketing research. And it is very important,it is the demand for the product that the company offers.

What makes a good bounty is the project itself. On how useful it is and on how real it is. Adding the campaign manager should be reliable while having funds secured. This is for the part of participants but if none of things that I've mentioned has been found on the bounty you are with, then good luck.

Having a good development team is a plus.

One of the most important things for any bounty program is that the economic model behind it has been calculated properly. It makes little sense to give out too many tokens in a bounty program, as it'll discourage investors, but at the same time, having a bounty program can help you gain early traction. So you have to balance that properly.

My best suggestion would be to simply talk to potential buyers, hear what they think.
Also, make sure reward everyone who participates, as well as the top contributors to the bounty program. The incentives have to work out for both groups :)

As long as the bounty has a trustworthy and good manager, and has a reasonable pool, then the campaign is sure to get a lot of people involved. Dont be greedy to choose the giant pool bounty from the newbie or member manager. These are just scams and you only lose time when participating in it

Just make it easy for people to participate and be very transparent one of the issue here is not getting an update on how many stakes people are earning, they also need a good community manager that is transparent and can answer any queries coming from the bounty hunters.

In my opinion, what is the most important thing about creating a good bonus project is that the product of the project, is the product really close to human life, or is it just a virtual, worthless product? close to life, the second is the development team must have the capacity, they must have vision and strategy

I think most bounty hunters are looking for legitimate bounties which would most likely succeed and live long in crypto market. Some ICO don't last due to the bear market, that is why most bounty hunters don't get any money from it. As a bounty hunter I also check who is managing the bounty since some managers are lazy. They don't check bounty hunters' activities and sometimes some bounty hunters are not paid right.

I think it is a practical white paper, a clear and reasonable road map, a real and experienced team.Usually, a good quality project will hire a well-known bounty manager, so if you have no experience in choosing a good bounty, you can participate in projects of well-known bounty managers.

For myself I choose bounty campaigns according to the following criteria. This should be a well-known team of managers who are willing to communicate with the participants and don't ignore questions relating to bounty. Also, it shouldn't be too hard selection, for example, if you miss a week of participation, you are deleted from the campaign. I think this is wrong. Yes, we need to follow the rules but there are life circumstances, like in any other job.

With all of these scam ICOs people are now looking for those bounty programs which are handled by trusted bounty managers here in the forum because the chance of that not a scam is high. I also look on the allocated token for bounties if it is worth to participate and the most important would be the concept of the project because if i like it i would invest on it as well.

Bounty campaigns are a way of marketing management to spread thoroughly so that the ico program gets the target perfectly

Yes of course, I also saw and look for the bounty of campaign manager who promote it. indeed not all bounty held good manager could be proven to be beneficial. but I think, bounty bounty program can choose the manager and project a good ico before they promote it.

A huge number of projects offer very good rewards, while these are just words, and often you either get nothing or receive very little. Do not look at what rewards you are offered, first of all make sure that the project is worthwhile and only after that get to work.

Yeah, that's true. We need to know the information about the program before we join it (including the bounty manager, the rules, and another information). This will help us, then we will not be trapped in any scam program.

If I would be the developer then I would subtract the signature and telegram campaign. There should be an extended section of social media's campaigns. Reward will be given in the form of BTC or ETH. Because bounty hunter works a lot for the success of ico campaign. Usually tokens are not listed on any exchange due to which bounty hunters do not get anything.

A good bounty program is where a bounty manager checks every entry carefully. Many bounty managers accept low quality submissions to save time for checing them. These bounty managers are running to much campaigns to make more money for themselves instead of quality management.
Every good manager will reject meaningless one-line shitpost, copied bolg articles or youtube videos, obvious multiple alts in the same bounty or SMAS blacklisted accounts. But my general opinion is, that so many bounty managers just accept every rubbish to get more participants in.

A good bounty program has a team that make responses on the telegram group. They update the stakes weekly like what is promised. They don't change the rules and cheat the bounty hunters like reducing the allocation or implement KYC when they said there is no KYC from the start. And most of all, they pay the rewards.

thats too good to be true but those you quality that you mentioned above are now a mere dream because nowadays almost all ico's are now poorly built  . your lucky if ever you find a hidden gem but the probability is like 1 over 10 percent  but let say you found a legit one , the rewards are still expected to be low due to the current state of the market today  .

Designing a bounty program is not an easy option to rush into. But to know a good bounty program, check the project team and their past projects , how successful are they? Check their plans for the project in view- the soft cap to hard cap how feasible is their target. You may also consider their task over time.

the girl is that today many projects hide information about how many tokens were sold and how much money was raised from investors. Of course, this information would give an opportunity to orient in the prospects of this project, but today, the Kalambur is created on the company's ico market.

A great deal of elements make a decent bounty and dependably that an bounty is as fruitful as the task. The pool is imperative, as this decides the amount of a bit of the pie you'll get. Also, there should be significant publicity around the undertaking itself, as this will decide whether there will be esteem appended to the token paid.

Escrow administrations are likewise of significance, bounties that utilize such administrations are named genuine and legit.

There's only one I know bounty manager who used escrow for token allocation of the project. And some of his projects are most have escrow so that we are surely got payment. You are right, bounty program easy task options and a great way of earning towards good tokens, AFAIK.

Ain't know if it is good if all Bounty Managers now will do that kind of strategy so that we are 100% assured for the payment. You have great advice though.

The success of a company’s bounty is a good pool of rewards, the project itself must be worthwhile, social networks must be constantly updated, and that’s when the company’s bounty will be successful.

I really trust an ICO if they have some legit histogram about their team . It kinda helps me feel at ease.
Even though sometimes they didn't reach the hardcap they still give a good performance for their coin to have a good value on it.
So if they have a latest ICO project sometimes i try to invest on it. Because i know it is promising

The success of bounty depends on the Manager and the ICO. It is important that the project was real and successful.

To be a good bounty program it must be composed of good team nice platform, and above all have a good incentives for workers of this forum, we all wanted to have an exact payment for our works cos its not easy for us be victim of scam its so frustrating...

now it is indeed very difficult to find a bounty that is very good to follow, because not a few bounties that have a good platform and a good team also do not pay the participants, and in my opinion a good team and platform does not guarantee to pay their participants.

To be honest and to be frank with you, at the moment most of the bounties are quite good even IEO was trending so far. Which is I think not good to join in. Because lot of them are not really honest to their community, instead they are really good in promises but in the end they won't fulfill it. The only things I know that a good bounty has a good team, and the concept of their utility token was realistic and achievable.

First of all, the quality of the project is the most important factor to distingue good bounties. If the project has a good team, a detailed and clear whitepaper, and a useful product, then its bounty campaign worth your effort and time, because most likely their tokens will hit exchanges and become valuable.
First thing and foremost when you do look after a bounty program where you should always look up on projects potential and the team behind.
You can check out their dedication and seriousness towards the project looking at to their work but somehow there are instances where you can be easily fooled
which you do thought that the project is legit since you do see transparency but in the end they do end up on scamming.
