Its been 2-3 months, and the market size is not increasing, I am worried the fact if I shall continue to look at this market.

You might have seen the last year chart of cryptocurrency, and you can change your own conclusion regarding ico hype. We are still at the stable season of cryptocurrency. The next big bullish will be starting at the middle of this year. It has been almost 3 month but the fact we are still having 9 month for the remaining time to see the next market bullish. Don't be optimistic dude. This is too early to say about that.

What do you expect ? we are in a consilidation phase that is why the market movements has slowed,the market wont be always going to up and downs sometimes it needs to sleep like what we are experiencing right now and you should be happy because stabilizing market means most of the altcoins are growing,less risk of losing big amount of investment.

Crypto-markets are quite quiet now because Medias don't promote Bitcoin as much as they did at the end of 2017.
I don't know what will start next pump round. Maybe when bitcoin will reach again 12 or 14k$... and we'll hear again about it everywhere.

Yes you are right, that is because crypto market collapse and people are pained because of their loses, Hype will come when market is doing well and people are making gain and testifying about their gain the the hype will come back again. I believe soon the hype will come back again as bitcoin price is gradually increasing now.

Look at the growth in marketcap we had last year, having some months to cool off is totally normal and I would have been worried if we didn't have this cool off stage.

We're kind of stable now, you can call it a bear, but it's not going down. Be patient or go invest in stocks and be even more patient.

You see consolidation and you do not want to look at this market? It is the perfect time to watch and buy the market. You make profits when you buy. Your position in the market makes or breaks profit. And now is the best time to be in.

When will you buy? When there is hype again and the price increased a few folds over? That is just like giving away your money.

I think there is a bear market in cryptocurrency markets, so it is normal that there is no significant growth.
The whole market is going down, and when the bull market comes, the whole market is going to go up again, and every June is the beginning of a bull market, and you can keep an eye on it. ;D

The more people start thinking like you are, the better for large players. You will begin selling all your crypto currency, and large players will buy it cheaply. Now there is a consolidation of the market and now is better time for buying coins at a low price.

The market seems to be going a lot of sideways and it doesnt mean that the hype is over,the investors are just holding and waiting for the perfect entry in the market,a lot of people are just waiting for bitcoin's price to surge up so that they will be sure that the market wont fail in anytime,people are scared to do anything that is why the market has gone sideways.

If you look on last year graph you will notice same trend in bitcoin price fluctuations, it only pump during third and fourth quarter of 2017. I believe the same thing will happen this year so we should not worry and continue supporting bitcoin.

Actually, it is increasing but rather slowly. And it is a good thing. Better to have steady movement than huge waves. More regulations will follow, and at the end it will stabilize on a very predictable level like usual trades.

People are still nursing their wounds from the Feb crash, it'll take some time to recover and get those people to feel confident enough to buy in again. Once they do, it'll moon for a bit, then crash again.

No it's not over yet, now people just hold back because the price had crashed down severely and people still afraid to put their money in crypto and last time people got frightened because of the government put some regulations and banning into crypto, wait for another 2-3 months you will see the market increase, now the market is slowly healing but still in slow mode

You came to conclusion very early. it's not a high and fast return program that scams millions of people hard earned money. It's not over yet I would rather say it's a beginning of crypto world in the coming years it will boom you will see. Market is quite stable at the movement and moving gradually. You can not always expect bullish movement. If market rose aggressively then it has to do some correction as well. If you have good patience level then you won't worried in future.

This is a common factor in Crypto Market.Prices are now again soaring.Still its good time to invest because another bullish pump up period is coming ahead.Many people are holding their investment due to current price scenario,if you plan to invest,you should do it right now,because when prices will again surge you would repent you have committed mistake.One of my friend missed opportunity to invest in BTC when price went down $6k on 6th Feb-18 and now the current BTC price is $11,500 he is repenting now that he should have invested at that time.So prices are still charming for investors,a lot of ico and projects are in pipeline in 2018 which would certainly led prices to higher level.

That kind of comment's make me laugh, people in 2-3 month make their minds up, that for some reason market should always grow and they should become rich very quickly! The market is consolidating, it takes some market's to up to 10 years for them, to develop and get rocket hype. I mean look at the gold, we all are being told that gold is the safest heaven investment, but since 2011 so it's going to be 7th year it's in the bearish trend and it doesn't stop people, into investing in it. Ask yourself why? You are not in casino, you have to be patient for your profit and wait for your investment to develop.

The crypto market is unpredictable most times and filled with uncertainties. Take BTC for instance, it went down to 5k when so-called experts predicted it can never go lower than 10k. One can only keep investing now and NEVER EVER sell at a loss.

It is very likely that this is indeed so. Because the price of bitcoin today has a fairly stable performance. And this can mean only that people with large deposits can not enter into the crypto-currencies, it's all about regulators that bring only pain

How is it possible to keep investing if it happens that one loses everything? I agree with you that these markets are unpredictable but to make things a bit easier it requires a lot of research regarding what it's possible to invest into. I don't go for every new coin because I tend to study the long standing ones which have at least some history. There's so much competition!

Few weeks before the price of bitcoin falls below $6K but nkw it reached $12K so the market almost recovering at a very food rate.And the recovery is happening faster than expected so if you buy more crypto when it available for cheaper.

you dont have to worry anything, a piece of advice dont compare the past year hype in this recent year, because it all depends on community support, but as we expect in the mid year of this year it will start to pump up and we have to ready ourselves and wait for our success.

The stagnant price of bitcoin could also be due to selected altcoins (especially the other top-10 coins) getting more attention by investors, as more ppl are starting to become more aware that it isn't just about Bitcoin and Ethereum.

You chose the wrong months.
If you buy and HODL and the projects/coins are strong, you have nothing to worry about, January and February are the slowest months and the recovery after the bloodbath is slow. Keep watching, since if you will not be careful enough, you may cry in a few months that you were missing some train.
If you day trade, you'll have to learn how to get profit even in the days the market looks bad or slow, else the job's not for you.

My portfolio diminished like 80% in the last three months of this bear run and it's still going down day by day. I am invested in a few good projects and will see in the next three to six months if their roadmaps are working,. I will hold on to them. I will see and assess in the late spring on what to do next. I missed the last bull run and could have semi-retired now or renovated my home and do some repairs, but now things aren't that great in my altcoin bags situation sigh.

There was a big leap increase of popularity in a crypto sphere in a summer 2017. But the market will fed up someday and the most of coins will in a trash. What is happening now is just market volatility.

Bitcoin crashed to $6K and I see it is recovering, 11500$ is great increase I am not sure how you don't see this. Altcoins will follow but it takes time to recover from such crash, fast recovering can lead to another crash so everything is just fine.

Crypto market is pretty stable right now, we've seen a major correction recently. April to mid year gonna be great again and we might see a bullish trend.

I think the crypto hype is yet  over, if you have a chance to look back 2 years ago, crypto hype is growing. Although you will ntoice that there are weeks or months that are not moving or just gradually falling but it is just a normal behavior in every market because not all the time the market is good, their are ups and down but it is a sign of a healthy market.

First quarter of every year is a bear one for crypto market. Market has shown the same trends for last 5 years. Why do so many people forget that this crypto market is an extremely volatile market where any coin/token can blow up or fall at any particular point of time for a wide variety of reasons? Honestly, I did not expect the market to stay stable for this long, but I don't think this will last much longer. This volatility makes the bitcoin and other altcoins fluctuates in the market but still with reason there would not be any fluctuations. Many dump group try to pull down the price with the mass transaction between the mutual friends wallet.
We should not worry about the price falls and hold the bitcoin stediliy for long time you will find the 25k USD for sure.

I`d prefer the market won`t increase so much like in December. We need stable slow rise without crazy "rally", because it means market isn`t stable, and this discourages big players, institutional investors. Crypto market really needs these investors to make blockchain economy real

Nope, crypto market is high volatile so there would be no over in any hypes, droppings, drippings, bloodbath, market crash and other words and terms that could define when the Crypto Market Capital value goes down.
I don't believe there will be no more market crash because this is cryptocurrency, and even in our local currencies there would be more ups and downs.
I am thankful that I I survived a lot of market crash since last year or since I joined this forum and started to earn and collect altcoins that it becomes my Crypto Assets today.

Consilidation period doesnt mean that the market has failed and wont go any further,market sideways means the altcoins could grow more because bitcoin's price is stable and you need to know that the only time these altcoins are growing is when we have sideways,so better stick with the altcoins so that you will maximize your gains.

Yes, the situation on the market is much calmer now, but give only bitcoin price a 20% rise as everyone is again agitated and the market comes to life.

don't worry too much and keep hold. slowly but sure the market is starting to recover, I think this condition is not bad at least we should not worry because the market goes down significantly, just take a breath and patience, in a few months we will see the market increase like a skyrocket.

We are going through a correction phase and this is healthy for the markets. We can't have just upward movements, we also need some downward movements for properly valuing the coins. Market is sleeping for now but there will be big rise in value in future, because there were periods with price drops in past too. After periods of stagnation there was always big price surge.

If you are worried about the market going forward, you clearly have not done an ounce of research on crypto. There are a million signs pointing towards mass adoption, especially this year. The main one being that more users come in than there is Bitcoin, by the simple laws of Econ 101 this means upward pressure on the market overall.

Hypes will always exist while Crypto Market is growing. I do believe Hypes are the reasons why the crypto market is growing because investors are putting and getting their money at the same time.
When the Crypto market goes up then everyone would be happy because their Crypto Assets are growing in values as well, otherwise when the Crypto Market goes down then investors and traders are grabbing the opportunity because almost all Cryptos and coins are very cheap and when the Crypto Market recovers, they could get higher profits.

Indeed, crypto market woud not stay on the ground forever but it will go higher and rise all the crypto price values from time to time.
There are two direction for this Crypto Market, it's either go up or go down, both are having good advantages to every parties.
When the crypto market go up then holders are crazy with their Crypto Assets as their profits are growing.
When the Crypto Market goes down, investors and traders are going to grab the chance to buy more coins and hold and wait for the market recovers.

That's what will you think if you really not believe in cryptocurrency. I think you joined crypto because of hype am I right? The history could speak regarding with the crypto market cap value.
It's the fact then when  the special holiday seasons is approaching, crypto market would start to rise before it falls in up to 30%-40% dropping because people choose to convert their Crypto Assets into cash and use it to be part of the celebration but that's doesn't mean the Crypto Market would stay on it's way.
Crypto Market had been documented of it's continually dump and pump all over the year and this would keep on happening while the crypto market is running and pushing forward.

It's only been 3 months,we have to wait more for the next train.Last year chart,price start moving in june and become highest in the end of the year.So just calmly wait and start to save up some coin.I hope this year will be more interesting than last year.

Why do people expect the market to goes up always ? there will always some downs and sideways,the market needs to sleep and that means that all of the altcoins will grow because the bitcoin's market is stabilized will give our market more sideways or the market is going to calm.You need to know the only time that these altcoins are growing is when the market goies sideways.

I don't think the crypto hype is over. After a huge drop like the one in December end last year, it might take a significant amount of time to recover. The market has started recovering gradually and it has already grown a little bit from the lowest point to which it reached after the huge drop. We judt need to relax and give it some time after which people would start investing again. The hype might be a little lesser for now but we would surely be able to see more hype for cryptos again in a few months.

I think that you should think of what everyone was thinking at that time, everyone were hyped and were astonished by the amazingly big gains of cryptos, they were nor healthy nor normal in any way thus it is not rational to compare that stage and this stage of the market.

I think we are seeing the lull after the huge bubble that happened in December. Waayyy too many scam and poorly thought out projects went straight to the moon. Small investors and even a lot of the "smart money" lost their shirts by buying anything that went up and letting the bots take over the market. People are being way more selective in what they buy and how much they are willing to pay for it. I mean, not every Bitcoin God/Moon Stake token was worth $15 mil, right?

You may be right about the hype but it is very clear that valuable project and coin are not affected by this hype. We are certainly in bear period in the last 2 months. Everthing seem stable now. We might not be far from bull market.

The market seems sleeping but you need to be more patient because it might go bull run anytime,this time isnt really a bad thing to have because the altcoins are growing because the market has been stabilized,bitcoin's movements has slowed that is why we have more stable market especially with the altcoins much better than pumps and dumps market.

2 to 3 months is nothing, the market needs its time to recover!
Look at the beginning of the past years, and you will see that there is always a dip around this time.
At the moment there is not much movement in the market, but the market is reasonably stable.

Market is getting sideways but it could be a good thing if you have more altcoins in your portfolio because sideways means the altcoins will stabilize and your portfolio will have more greens,bitcoin's movements really influencing these altcoins that is why we should be happy when bitcoin's price has slowed because most of the altcoins can grow with these sideways.

Two to three months of sideways is a very good sign for the altcoins because these altcoins can grow massively,it is better than bloodbaths any way that is why sideways for me isnt really a bad thing,you just need to know how the market will behave so that you will know how to adjust in any market situation that we are facing.

It is a very good chance for these altcoins to grow even more,sideways or consolidation period will trigger most of the investors to put their money to the altcoins because it is safe to the bitcoin's pump and dumps,market slowing means more stabilized market environment and we should enjoy the chance to take profits from these altcoins.

Is it really not increasing? Because I feel that there are so many projects coming up today that maybe the market feels like it's not growing but the growth it's more horizontal than vertical. Regardless the market in general has been dropping, but I do not think the hype itself has dropped.

It seems like people are more cautious at what they invest in these days.  The days of just throwing money at everything you see and hoping for it to moon is practically over.  People want to see progress and products from developments and even then the price rises aren't as dramatic as they use to be.

When the market stabilized people dont want healthy market? but if the bitcoin's gone wild regardless if it is going pump or dump the people are unhappy what the heck guys? you should learn how to adopt in any situation so that you wont be panic selling everytime that bitcoin's price moves so fast.Sideways of the market is very healthy for the altcoins that is why it is better to have than those bloodbaths.

I don't understand exactly which markets you are interested in. There isn't a constantly rising market, and there has never been such a market. You will follow regularly and try to catch the other opportunities.

It doesnt mean that if the market has slowed it is the end of the world,morelikely sideways will result the altcoins to grow massively so this is a great thing and isntead of worrying try to improve yourself because this is the perfect time to take profits from these altcoins while they are very healthy not unlike when bitcoin's price are failing so it is better than bloodbaths.

Of course not,the bitcoin is just in consilidation period which makes the market sideways,stable market enviroments means that these altcoins will have the chance to grow more,because bitcoin's dominating the market makes these altcoins uselesss when bitcoin moves wildly so that if bitcoin's has gone sideways these altcoins are growing.

In what basis do you justify market increase? Are you a marketing analyst? If it is not increasing it means it is stable. 3 month with out an increase is too short for a time table if you are talikng with overall market share. Worry if after 3 year, the market is still not increasing.

The crypto market is far from its peak. When institutional invetsors from the US step into it, it will grow like crazy however first some regulation needs to be enacted so that it is not a complete wild west, this will take until the end of the year I suppose. But I suggest to hold on to your coins.

I guess you can stop looking at the bear market now since crypto has slowed down a bit. We already know that its normal for cryptocurrencies to go up and down anytime and dips like this has been happening for years now so we should be immune to it. If there will be more news about crypto soon especially the good ones, there's no doubt that will see a bullish market again.

You just have to be optimistic dude sometimes things aren't going to the place where we wanted it to be but let me tell you this, everything will be fine soon, just be positive and everything will fall into it's proper places. You will regret your choice if you will leave the industry of cryptocurrency and I think you will not like that feeling, so for now I am encouraging you to continue striving for more coins and be optimistic, don't be negative about things, just do your work.

Do not stop looking at this market for at least 5 years. The total market cap of crypto is 450M USD, not even 50% of Apple Inc. at this moment. In 5 years, the total market cap will be at least 20 trillion IMO. Take good positions, and you will benefit in the future.

If we look at the market cap a few months ago it was almost as high as 800b. It has dropped significantly since that time, but in my opinion that shows you how high it HAS gone, and will go past in the future.

Relax, the kind of beating crypto has received in the recent past from the governments, Big time investors and the media warantees the slow pace in the market.  as soon as everything has calmed down you will see a very significant change

What 2-3 months? The market had a great growth not long ago. We can't move too the moon non-stop. Sometimes a break is needed.
And this is that break.

We have a long way to go, the year just started. Crypto is currently going thru a dip and this is the time when you can read some of the whitepapers, check the team behind it, learn the technology and if you are convinced invest. We are still coming seeing new money in Crypto market so this will grow for sure.

On a side note, no wonder why the exchanges are having hard time to cope up with growing Crypto fan.

Some countries especially Asian restrict access to certain exchangers or in others ways try to influence and regulate the market of cryptocurrency and therefore the market loses many investors.

We are in a consilidation phase,that is why it is good to stick with the altcoisn because the only altcoins grows is when bitcoin's price has been stabilized,market goes sideways or there not much big movements so it is not the end because the market is just sleeping it is the time for the altcoins to grow bigger,more massive than ever before.

In crypto, nothing happens without any reasons. Big and smart money enter the market. Any correction is an artificial process. The market does not want to feed everyone. I think that this year many players will leave crypto. You need to be patient, do not panic and be able to wait.

Hype is not over.
Over the past year the number of ICO has increased from 20 to 900, but the number of participants in cryptoworld has grown many times, which means that the number of cryptocurrency holders willing to invest their tokens into promising and tempting projects has also grown, of course more people were attracted to the crypto world but not all, still skeptical about the blockachain and cryptocurrencies, so the HYPE is yet to come, the biggest and most enchanting.

I won't say that seems to be over because the hype would be seen declining when prices are good and still no interest is being shown . Te market is more stable than it has ever been till now and that is the reason why people thing that the hype is declining .
I think that the real results will be shown by the year end . If by year end prices does not touches the sky then the hype will definitely be considered as ending.

I also worried too because the market is still down. But don't lose hope there are possibilities that the market will rise up again and the currency will increased. it will take a long period of time but it is worth waiting for. You need to have patience

I believe that is because crypto market collapse and people are pained because of their loses, Hype will come when market is doing well and people are making gains.

 You have a point there but that doesn't when the market is getting low promoting of crypto becomes affected because eventhough its like that crypto continuosly grow as much as the value is also growing so that's very impossible to happened though.

Yes the hype seems over now the market is at its organic growth,we no need hypes here because it will make the crypto currencies more volatile and then people will stay away from investing on it.

And you do not look at the market volume. It won't do any good anyway.The markets are cyclical, so sooner or later a new upward movement will begin and update past price highs.

I think now most of the big investors accumulating and get ready for the next bull run. With the current market conditions, it is not good for the ICOs but most of the top ICOs able to reach hard cap within a limited time. but the value of the tokens may be little bit undervalued due to market conditions but everything will be fine with the bull run.
