Coinmarketcap lists only coins that have trading volume above certain threshould.
They have the full terms and prerequisites for listing a coin on their website.

If new Altcoins will be traded at least $50,000 daily then it would be automatically listed on coinmarketcap.com because coin exchanges are the ones who are referring it into coinmarketcap.com so that traders and investors will doing trades on their coin exchange platform.
Coinmarketcap.com don't list new Altcoins when they aren't proven worth investing.

That is why new Altcoin company marketing team would do everything possible to increase their trading volume as much as or at least $50,000 in order for them to be listed and also coin exchanges will to the same so that people of investors will come to their exchange and perform trade while they are earning as well.

Anyone can request a listing on CMC. The only thing is that the coin or token needs a specific turnover on one of the exchanges that are recognized by CMC. A listing on CMC normally has a positive impact on price and volume.

why not, you can buy it, but before it you have to do research on the coins you want to buy.
discuss also with other investors in the telegram group or their announcement thread here.
btw, what coins would you like to buy?

One entry requirement CMC has a trading volume within 24 hours must reach $ 10,000 (10K USD), the price is not determined from the volume but from the seller and the buyer itself. If lots of clear altcoin is present in the CMC ,, why you should take the risk?

no need to invent a bycicle, just read the FAQ:
https://coinmarketcap.com/faq/

What is the criteria for a cryptocurrency to be listed on CoinMarketCap?

The criteria for a cryptocurrency to be listed is the following:

- Must be a cryptocurrency or a crypto token.
- Must be on a public exchange with an API that reports the last traded price and the last 24 hour trading volume.
- Must have a non-zero trading volume on at least one supported exchange so a price can be determined.
- For market cap ranking, an accurate circulating supply figure is required.

If you'd like to have a cryptocurrency listed and it meets all of the criteria, please fill out the request form.

not every currency requested is listed, but once it is traded, there is a very high chance for it to be added

some coins or tokens do not list in CMC so this is due to not enter a large exchange, and also could be the coin is still relatively new and is still waiting to enter in this CMC, in my opinion to buy and not it depends on how the prospect in the future for the coins or tokens.

I know a couple good projects that haven’t been listed on CMC.  I also know dozens of scams that have been and still are listed on CMC.  I don’t see what one has to do with the other.  In fact the worst scam of the crypto era was one of the biggest advertisers of CMC.  Did you guys not see the Bitconnect banners that were there for months?

Why not? Of course you can, at your own peril and risk. Usually these coins are very cheap and can give good interest.

Coinmarketcap only lists altcoins with a certain minimum volume and threshold. Similar minimum volume condition is for exchanges also. If an altcoin is popular and has the required minimum volume and threshold, then it will be definitely listed on coinmarketcap. One more thing is possible that the coin you are looking for is still in development or ICO stage. When it will complete ICO and get listed on exchange, it will appear on coinmarketcap. But if coin is listed on an exchange and is not visible on coinmarketcap, it means coin is less popular. So you need to analyse the coin and if you believe in project, then you can think of investing small amount in that altcoin. However I always wait for altcoins to reach a stage where they become somewhat popular.

I think the list on the coinmarketcap is incomplete and I've experienced so often so if you want to know more clearly on the altcoin you have, check on the project's website.

Only coins that have enough volume or circulating supply are listed on coinmarket cap. So, only those are traded regularly and has a high volume over 24hrs are listed there. There are thousands of coins out there and it will be a long list and waste of time to for CMC to list everything. Imagine if they will list even coins that are considered dead and inactive, it will be a complete waste of time. So, it's better to just have a list of coins that are actively traded.

If they don't hit on a good exchange than they will not get listed on coinmarketcap.
Or maybe dev of coin have to send some details to coinmarketcap to get listed.

Before a coin or token gets to coinmarketcap, they should have to be on a exchange first, a working website and a explorer. That's a requirement for a coin or token to be listed in coinmarketcap. And some coin or token gets delisted or removed on charts when data provided is becoming irrelevant. I have noticed that Mercury Protocol was removed from charts due to Etherdelta API issues. Bitcoin White was also removed but I don't have any reasons as to why.

If released when a coin or token isn't on the coinmarketcap list can be concluded the coin isn't good ...
But all the decisions back to you, it would be better if the survey first if you have a fairly loose time or better choose coins that already exist in coinmarketcap only

Title: Re: No listed on coinmarketcap

Usually the coin is a new coin that passes through the phase after the ICO ends. Therefore it has not been listed in the market cap. Sometimes there is a coin that can be registered on the exchange site and some that take time. Maybe it was because of how successful at the time of sale.

A very true remark on the listing on a coinmarket shows that the coin has a certain amount of trades. But he does not give any guarantees that the coin from their list is not a scum.

If they are already on an exchange but not listed on an exchange it would be a red flag for me. Their application to get liste might have been rejected due to scam suspicions of simply they have a weak marketing team. None of these two reasons are good news and in the doubt I would stay away unlesss you have very good reasons.

As much as possible you have to avoid it because buying those altcoins have higher risk. Forget about those altcoins not listed in coinmarketcap. When in downtrend many of those altcoins are not likely to recover. Better safe than sorry.

I think that you do not need to buy these coins. If the coin is not on the coinmarket, this means that the coin has a very small daily trading volume. Although you need to consider each coin individually.

some of them good to buy but you should see the announcement and see the volume or circulation of trading in the coin is so you do not get stuck in the coin who do not have a life and try to find coin in the market that has a very high trading volume such as bittrex or binance.

Observation of such coins can bring very good money, since you have a chance to buy an unknown coin at a small cost, and then it can grow many times in price.
But you always need to be cautious about buying such coins and really assess their future prospects.

Yes, Coinmarkrtcap is one of the best crypto economic tools for determining the validity of any cryptocurrency in the crypto market. Any coin listed in the coinmarketcap shows some measure of value. However most reliable tokens are not yet listed in the coinmarketcap because of performance volume. So you can use other parameters in your sense of judgement about them. Always carry out a due diligence search before you invest in any crypto investment. Thanks

Can you named some of this coin, all the coins I've invest in are on coinmarketcap already, it's a duty of the developer to gain popularity and for traders and supporters to access and monitor the price and volume, it's very important for a coin to get listed here and it's free.

If this is a coin of a new project, then soon it will appear on the coinmarketcap. You can study the project and decide whether it is promising and whether it is worth investing money in its coin. If it is a coin of the old project, it means that most likely the project is dead and you should not take risks.

That is a shit decision bro. You should not buy those kind tokens. You may get scammed because of the unsold tokens which is holding under the contract address. Please refer with the market supply analysis site people and then go invest on those kind of tokens.
I always go with the coins which is growing after 10 days of coin has been released. If token price dumped after 2 days we cannot expect the concern coin to grow in the market.

but now CMC needs 100k dollar daily volume so may be they not able to achieve that goal ..

however i will not buy any coin if that is not listed on CMC .. however in ICO coins only list after ico end or crossing volume on exchanges .

Don't buy coins that dont have a price in the market. Mostly you cab get the shitty coins in Airdrop or in a bounty campaigns even that coins have a great community and platforms.

If you are asking is it safe to buy coins that you can't find on coinmarketcap - yes it is, but only if project is relatively young.
If you see old project which is not on cmc(that means its daily volume had never reached $100 000 of daily trading volume) - such project can remain no-name and you can just freeze your investment. But when its new - everything is ahead, and it will be listed soon, so if you like the project you can buy

CoinmarketCap is an ordinary reference book. The presence or absence of an asset in it does not mean anything. The best way to learn about coins - read whitepaper and search information about developer.

There is a reason the newly launched coin is not listed in coinmarketcap ie developers are able to create their own market so that the sale price of coins has valuable value on the official website created by the main project developer devoted to the initial launch of the type of coin is much in demand by investors.

the altcoins are registered in exchange sites, so if you noticed some of the exchange sites doesn't have some of the alt coins of the other trading sites, because the owner of those coins need to register on that coins
with regards to your question some of the coins not really registered on trading sites or exchange sites are good, in order to identify check their platforms, is the finish products etc. I have read on how to lessen the risk of investing a crashing coin here. try to read okie ? :) good luck

Where did you see the coin? market exchange? I think it's a bit extream and pretty dangerous if you care about your assets. but if you want and your expectations the price will go high it's your own choice.
but I think that's a bad choice because looking at coin prices and with the announcement and coin developers it should be done. And coinmarketcap is not only a list coin for price and chart but provides detailed information about the coin. such as announcement. detail about etc.

There are many coins that are not listed on CMC but are good investments. After they get into the charts the price tends to go up so in fact it is potentially better to buy coins before they get listed. Problem is finding a good one e.g. an ICO that has successfully completed to acquire funding for future development.

Many people, including I, begin the day with viewing of CMC. It is one of the best and comprehensive tools for analytics of a condition of the market. However it doesn't specify what to do. Common sense, it's the main tool.

Listing on coinmarketcap is not always important. Besides, you need to know about a coin before deciding whether we should buy it or not. A coin has its own strength and weakness. Learn about them and their technologies will give us a chance to make a right decision

If I am not mistaken then that the coin has been added to the coinmarketcap, it should have a daily volume of more than 50 thousand dollars at least few days. And if the coin does not have this volume then it is shitcoin. And investments in it are very risky

If it is a start up ICO it will take time to be listed in coinmarketcap but if the minimum volume of trade or the requirements are met, coinmarketcap listing is easy. If it listed in a trading platform and after a year it is not yet listed in coinmarketcap, don't buy it.

To get listed into coinmarketcap coins take time. Some in a very short gets listed upon reaching the required trading volume in a short time period. There are coins which haven't listed yet, but have listed to the exchanges. As users suggested it is good to study the real growth and make the decision on investing.

Thanks a lot for sharing this information in this forum as this is the need of the hour because last year there was a trend that people will invest in those coins which was under $1 expecting it to grow higher and give more profit without knowing about its transaction or volume.

some coins do not enter coinmarketcap due to daily volume shortage, and the requirement to enter one of the coinmarketcap daily trading volume is $50K, so you do not have to hesitate to buy a coin / token, even if the coin has not entered coinmarketcap ;)

Research about the reason why it's not listed on coinmarketcap.

If it has very low volume and nearly no liquidity then it's probably a dumb idea to ever invest in these tokens/coins. Coinmarketcap sort of screens bad projects out even though they do a bad job of it. If it's not listed on coinmarketcap, then that's a big red flag.

If it's just not listed on coinmarketcap because it's a new token, but still is promising and is actively traded on exchanges, I see no reason why you shouldn't buy it.

Dive into the hard working community for a while and do your research and make your decision, it won't harm you. You won't be dissapointed by the hard working developer. It already has been picked up by fluffypony and other well known traders since it is probably the most honest and technically best monero fork out there. Just check out community and ask

Some if them are good but i think you should check there platform carefully maybe some of them also newly finish in there ico thats reason why they still not yet in coinmarketcap.
Doing this obviously would save anyone including the OP so many traumas in the future. It is not always about coinmarketcap, it is usually about what you are holding and how far it can go which anyone can only know by trying to dig the team, understand how ready they are to work, the availability of a product and how sound it is in the real world.

It may have a low trade volume which is why it has not appeared on coinmarketcap, but either way, as long as you can check those ones I have mentioned out, which should be the decision making points.

Coinmarketcap lists only coins that have trading volume above certain threshould.
They have the full terms and prerequisites for listing a coin on their website.
Of course, every websites including exchanges have its rule to list new coins, I read somewhere that the tradind volume should be larger than 10 btc, I think it will be very easy to achieve if the coin can be listed on a middle exchange.

Yes there are many coins which aren’t listed on coin market cap but that doesn’t mean they are worthless coins. It takes time for new coins to be listed on coin market cap because they have some rules before they accept coins. Therefore you can buy coins which are not on the exchange yet. They could be new coins with high potential.

My free advice to you, do not touch those projects, there is a reason they are not listed on coinmarketcap.com, they lack trading volume, trading volume is very key in the space and if you own a token you can not get in and out of it without moving the market is a big problem

If you buy unlisted coins there is great risk that they are worthless / scam. On the other side they are much cheaper, so if they become listed in future the price will go up a lot. If you have good opinion about these coins you can buy them and maybe the price will rise later.

In time they will get listed in coinmarketcap too as you know every coin listed there has to pay a certain amount of money. Most of the projects are waiting until they have a clear status of their statistics and then for sure they will get listed there , if they not...well...bad news I guess.

Yeah, and as long as the coin or token does not meet up with the volume on any of the exchanges they are being traded on, then it will not be listed. However, with respect to the OP's question, this does not mean they are bad or does not also mean they are good. It all balls down on the team and the product that actually backs up the coin or the token. As long as this is a good project that would easily fly when the market is back, it would most definitely get a boost.

I noticed a lots of coin on exchange site which are not listed on coinmarketcap. Should I buy those coin/token?
As long as you know they have a good product backing, the possibility of growth in the future and an active team, then you can go ahead, if not, you better do not try it because you may just end up bag holding a shit coin for the rest of your life unless you are just lucky to see it get pumped and quickly sell out before the dump.  Coinmarketcap usually do not list low traded volume coins, and that is why you would not see some of them.

Its also not listed on coinmarketcap but they are carefully developing the project. They even had released an app already on google play but this isn't listed yet on bigger exchange.  If they were listed I think the 100K exchange volume could be achieved which was the requirement of coinmarketcap nowadays.

Anyone can request a listing on CMC. The only thing is that the coin or token needs a specific turnover on one of the exchanges that are recognized by CMC. A listing on CMC normally has a positive impact on price and volume.
You can only request a listing on CMC as long as you meet their terms and conditions and as long as the volume on the exchange is low for those coins, forget it. However, it is not about the listing on coinmarketcap that makes a coin or token good.

So many coins that ended up being launched at moments like this can get beaten badly which results them to having a low volume, and that is why they are not showing on CMC, but I would be careful to check those coins if I were OP, before ending up with shit coins.

All depends on your level of experience, for example many coins and tokens are first registered on exchange before been listed on CMC. If you go to exchange like EtherDelta there you will see many tokens that are listed there which you will not see on Coinmarketcap . So, a good and experience trader knows that those tokens are not yet popular and based on that their prices are not yet higher but immediately the are listed on CMC it help to move their prices higher. But before investing in unpopular crypto please make your research very proper .

Coinmarketcap list coin base on its trading volume, many new altcoin listed on exchanges are not directly listed on CMC probably due to less trading volume.
You can buy coin that are not on CMC all you need is to make proper research.

New coins usually take a while to get listed on coinmarketcap.  Another requirement is a daily trading volume of $50k USD.  It might be a good thing to buy some if the project is new but if it's been around for a while and still haven't shown up on CMC, I would avoid it.

The first thing to do is to find out what the developers attitude to listing on Coinmarketcap is. So if they are planning to be listed there in the nearest future, then we can expect the coin to go up after the listing is done. So it is OK to buy this coin while the price is rather small.

Some coins aren’t listed on coin market cap because they are scam and ponzi scheme, but there are some that aren’t listed because they have just been launched into the market. And I don’t think coin market cap really decides whether a coin is good or not, because there are many coins on coin market cap that are scam and of no utility.

Its better that you read whitepaper of the token and do research about it before investing in it. it doesn’t really matter if its on coin market cap or not currently because if it’s a good coin, it will surely be listed sooner or later.

True. Coin market cap doesn’t really list coins based on research or anything and the coins listed can be good or bad and can be legit or scams. It all depends on the trading volume of a particular coin whether it shall get listed on the coin market cap or not. If a coin has trading volume more than 50000$ daily, then its automatically listed on coin market cap.

There are fake pumps done by many companies in order to list their coin on coinmarketcap.com, so better do research on particular coins before investing and checking coin market cap doesn’t help in this matter.

In any case, it is better to buy those that are on a coinmarketcap, in order to avoid cheating. Although there is a likelihood of risk.
I advise you to personally study cryptocurrency before investing in it.

Usually coins that not listed in Coinmarketcap raised smaller amount from hardcap during ICO so they does not enough fund for listed in Coinmarketcap and in big exchange. And this coins will has low volume and just become pump dump coin. So the community also difficult to grow the demand can not increasing by continuously.
I find that to be partially true. For the past few months, I am only browsing on CoinCodex (https://coincodex.com/), I love the design of the website, and they even have the portfolio (https://coincodex.com/portfolio/) feature.
Besides, there are some cool guides and everyday hot news to read while on a break at work.

You can buy some but due diligence must be taken to research the project. Usually coinmarketcap doesn't list them yet either because their trading volume is very low, or they are yet to enter exchanges.
Research for some good ones and when they finally get listed on coinmarketcap, they'll be pumped heavily.

Coins not listed on the CMC are very little known or have just ended their ICO projects and are listed on the exchanges. Altcoins not listed on CMC are risky, but it gives a lot of profit to investors, it can increase quickly and return to zero at any time.

Coinmarket only 100koin on the list. While the coin in circulation is much more than that. Coinmarket is not meant to register all the coins in circulation, just as a popular coin indicator. It does not matter if it is not in the list of coinmarket, as long as it is still acceptable by the exchange site.

For a coin/token to get listed on coinmarketcap, they must be first listed on any public exchanges & have good trading volume after that only they are listed on CMC & also the project team of that coin/token has to request CMC team to list their coin. You can query about listing of the coin from the team members of that coin on telegram or other channels. Yes, you can buy coins/tokens which are not listed on CMC, as CMC does not determine that how good is the coin & worth investing. Still, there are coins listed on CMC which have no value or use. If you are going to buy coins, whether they are listed or not, before that properly analyze the coin/token project that how much worth it can be in future with good ROI.

there are already almost 1,600 altcoins in the coinmarketcap.com today and will soon be added with new altcoins only if that altcoin will be traded at least $50,000. If so, it will be automatically registered on coinmarketcap as soon as possible.
the best next big step for the new altcoin is to bump on coinmarketcap.com because more people aren't investing on ICOs but when they bumped on coinmarketcap.com, they will give even more trust on that new altcoin.

The times when coinmarketcap listed every airdrop token are over. They was just a too big flood of shitcoins. So coinmarketcap stopped that and make some rules. So you have to have at least hundert thousand dollars of volume before the coin or token get listed. I think thats a really good rule, which will stop the flood of shitcoins. So if the coin not listed on coinmarketcap, it does not mean automatically that it will be a shitcoin, but theres a huge potential. But it can be the opposite of that!

Well, as you know that coinmarketcap only lists the high volum token, so if you have plan to do with some coin which is not listed in coinmarkercap, it’s definitely dangerous, I think so. Because the number of people uses it is not crowed enough for you to take trading or investing easily. Moreover, absolutely its value is much lower than the coin listed in the coinmarketcap. In short, I advise you not to own the coin which is out of the coinmarketcap list.

As far as I know, coinmarketcap has its own requirements and constraints. If I remember correctly, the market capitalization must be over $ 100k so that the token can be listed. For companies that have just completed ICO, that is a matter to consider. Because they have not had much experience as well as they are quite new in the crypto market.

Its good that coinmarketcap dont list every shitty airdrop coin anymore. Its better when it list just the good coins with real projects behind which have also real value. And of course some volume on the exchanges. So when you have a coin who is already listed on exchange and traded, and its not on coinmarketcap, theres a foresign that something must be wrong with these coin. So you have to do some researches more. But if not, it can be a good chance to buy the coin very cheap until it get some real value!

There can be coins that would show market caps above 1 million but they are not technically listed

Sometimes if you search for the coin in the search bar and hit enter it will still show the coin but have a ? under marketcap

Even if the ajax doesn't populate the coin you are searching for it doesn't mean CMC doesn't have it cataloged

Remember when Britney Spears shaved her head? Remember when Barry bonds broke the home run record? Historic events like these don’t happen very often. The next big thing in the crypto world is going to be mtc (also known as marinecoin). MTC originates from 2013 and is making a strong comeback with a proof of promotion distribution. This ICO is going to be free. Yes 100 percent free no strings attached. Marinecoin is an extremely fast coin that is eco- friendly and dev=less. mtc will be controlled by artificial intellgience and will be a real force in the crypto markets in the future. Do not miss your chance. This community coin will be built with a fair distribution which will give it value. mtc will be self sustaining and dev-less.

I think that if you decided to make an advertising coin so it was necessary to create a separate topic, and not write here.
coinmarketcap are coins that have already completed the ICO.

coinmarketcap will list a coin to their site if the developer has sent details about their coin, I think all coin can be listing at coinmarketcap
if the developer want to send details to the coinmarketcap.

It is necessary to check by their own rules or to look at the situation of one or another coin / token. Most importantly look at the characteristics of these aspects.

Coins may not be quoted due to the fact that they arose recently. In order to determine whether you need to buy them or not, you need to consider each coin and project that is behind it

that does not matter if coin is listed on CMC or not .
bcoz some newly launched ico list coin on CMC after good volume , like next exchange token not listed on coinmarketcap

only thing you need to do check the project , team and reputation of project in market .

To be listed on coinmarketcap,  coins should surpass 100 k usd  daily volume. This is a requirement. But if volume don't exceed this level, it doesn't mean that you should avoid such project

Coinsmarketcap add only which coin will be treated more than 1 Bitcoin in a day then only coinsmarketcap will be listed the coin there and you can buy any good coins .

Many times I met information that the coin appears only when the daily trading volume exceeds 50k $. But if the coin only recently appeared on the coinmarket, then the first week and two will not show reliable data

Yes many more tokens, Altcoins are not listed on Coinmarketcap. But that does not mean it's a scam or a dead project. Many are legit and sure there are good platforms all you have to do is search and find out the tokens, altcoins you will buy.

Observation of such coins can bring very good money, since you have a chance to buy an unknown coin for a small fee, and then it can grow many times in price.
But you should always be careful in buying such coins and really evaluate their future prospects.

Well theres a lot of altcoin that have not yet listed to coinmarketcap but its better to list an altcoin to cmc because most investor visit cmc to check what altcoin are new in the market.

If you do not see the newly born coin that is not listed in coinmarketcap, it means the trade volumes are low. Try to check this one: https://bitgur.com/. It has most of the coins listed out there. Additionally, I don't think you should buy coins based on coinmarketcap listing as there is no basis behind that listing. You better do your research of the coin, its team, idea and implementation rate as a ground basis for your investment in new coins. Good luck!

Not more important about coin or altcoin have listing in coinmarket cap, but you have check how many exchange market was listing the coin want you buy. You have check detail how many market and the market was great value like, kucokion, binance adn bittrex where there are have good potential to take and sell altcoin. You have see it before you buy altcoin, not only see on coinmarketcap but also you have to do and check them on market listing their coin.

Maybe the reason why some coin on exchange rate is not listed to coin marketcap it is because they are brand new coin and their ICO projects is not yet done so that they haven't any value itself. And for your question Yes you can buy those coins but you must to first a research thier if its working coin.

Coinmarket only 100koin on the list. While the coin in circulation is much more than that. Coinmarket is not meant to register all the coins in circulation, just as a popular coin indicator. It does not matter if it is not in the list of coinmarket, as long as it is still acceptable by the exchange site. :)

I think you should not buy coins that are not on the coinmarketcap site. There is a strong possibility that you will buy a very toxic asset and lose your money. You need to study the whole market well, then you will have the knowledge and you will be able to understand different technologies and buy a coin before it will appear on the site.

Coinmarketcap is not a comprehensive directory or reference encyclopedia for the crypto-coins. Out of the more than 10,000 different coins and tokens, only around 1,500 are listed there. If a coin is not listed in Coinmarketcap, it doesn't necessarily mean that it has no future potential. You can go ahead with your investment, but only after a careful study of the coin.

To list on coinmarketcap, new coin/token should have daily transaction $100k. Many coin/token can not reach that volume because not many transaction on that coin.
I am prefer invest on coin/token that listed on coinmarketcap because our investment more safe if that coin have big transaction volume.

I agree with you. Coins and tokens that have long been out and are not present at the coinmarketcap are usually nothing serious, so be careful with this. There is what about the criteria for selection, if the coin token is not, then either they do not meet the requirements, or a very lazy team is possible Scam.

It is your choice to decide if you want to buy some of the listed coin or not as you are in total control of your money and decide what to do with it. Some of the coins are reliable and good while some might not be as stable as the rest. You can select a coin of choice ad the invest in it as they have good potentials.

It depends on the coin itself. Not listed on Coinmarketcap doesn't mean a specific coin/token is worthless, maybe it is just in a very early phase, but you need to do your homework and carefully research the whole project (checking the website, the developer team, the community) before you make an investment. If you choose wisely, you can make very good profits in the long run.

There is nothing to worry about, but it's not very good, because it means that people simply do not buy this project or they just do not know anything about it, I think that in general after doing some work on the project they will still use this token , but only after regular advertising. On the other hand, if the project is not interesting to people, then there is nothing interesting.

Coins that aren't on coinmarketcap usually fall into one of two categories. Either the coin is no good, which is why it has no trading volume, or else it is a new and unproven coin. The obvious problem here is that a lot of new coins later turn into no good coins. So it's personal judgement reaaly. If it's a new coin and it's not listed, then you have to decide whether you think the coin will have a good future. If you think it will, then it can be a good idea to buy now, as prices tend to increase once it is on coinmarketcap and on the major exchanges. One reason for low price is that there is added risk for something that is unproven.

If released when a coin or token isn't on the coinmarketcap list can be concluded the coin isn't good ...
But all the decisions back to you, it would be better if the survey first if you have a fairly loose time or better choose coins that already exist in coinmarketcap only

Coinmarketcap have a timeline and list of validations and procedures which must be completed before the new coins appear on there website.
However, there are a lot of coins as well which are scams and will never come on coinmarketcap. You must be careful about what you are buying into.

In order for a coin to show up on CoinMarketCap, it has to be on an exchange that has an API that can connect with CMC and the trading volume has to be above $50,000 or $100,000 per day. A lot of coins that recently completed their I O and distribution aren’t there yet, so they aren’t listed.

I noticed a lots of coin on exchange site which are not listed on coinmarketcap. Should I buy those coin/token?
As we know coinmarketcap is an information site that provides a list of cryptocurrencies that are sorted according to market capitalization based on the current average rates. The list is updated in real-time and is equipped with a mini price chart. Coinmarketcap also recorded trading volumes, as well as highlighted the crypto currency that recorded the biggest increases and declines.

Whether to buy or not a coin on an exchange site that is not listed at coinmarketcap is depends on you. If you are not prepared with the risk of loss that will be happen if the coins that you buy was a scam, then you should play safe by buy coins that have been listed at coinmarketcap and have a large trading volume.

But if you are a risk taker, then you can try to buy it but of course you have to do analysis about that coin such as vision mission presented by the project owner, the total supply of coins and of course the coin community that can determine the prices movement.

ICO projects developments are in stages, the listing on coinmarketcap is a stage after which the tokens is listed on an exchange and the daily turnover has reached minimum threshold for coinmarketcap to list it on. IF the coin is good and you think it has a future then you can buy it and soon it will be on coinmarketcap.

It is possible that CMC has many false allegations of virtual prices that have been deceived to mislead users and investors. However, it is like a general measure for evaluating new coins. CMC requires 24h trading volume is over 100k$ to be listed on CMC.

There is no requirement for a coin to be listed and there are several coins in the market which are not even having any volume of trade, the only stipulation they might have is that the coin must be listed in any exchange and if that happens they will add the coins in their database, when it comes to an exchange if there is no volume then they might delist it.

All it needs is time. Most of the projects are waiting until they have a clear status of their statistics, and when they are reaching the requirements, they will be listed on the marketcap, so don't be on hurry to see them on the list.

some of coins can not be listed in coinmarketcap because of the trading volume. if volume is low coinmarket does not list them. if you trust in the project you can still buy, but i dont recommend it.

At one's own risk! I think that investing in shitcoins is always extremely dangerous, they have very small capitalization and such coins are often used for pumping and draining money.

You need to go through their whitepaper and learn more about such altcoins before investing in them

indeed many coins / altcoins are not listed in coin marketcap, because maybe I think coin / altcoin is new or still in development stage,
at least we should know first what altcoin we will buy if it is not listed in coinmarketcap because we can predict itself from what we know about altcoin, whether it has the potential to grow or not,

Altcoins or token listed in coinmarket cap are those meet the 24hrs trading volume as one of the requirements. There are some instances that others are not listed yet because the project are just concluded their ICO and listed in some small exchanges first. You can buy but you need to do research first about the project.

no need to invent a bycicle, just read the FAQ:
https://coinmarketcap.com/faq/

Thanks for this Sir!

There are some exchanges for the cryptocurrency and coinmarketcap is one of them. But, commonly this exchange provides the top listed cryptocurrencies. In my opinion, it will be no problem when you are buying the coins in other exchanges if the coin is good, trusted, and promising. This thing can be decided after you analyze and consider some terms of a good coin to invest.

I think you should stay away with those coins because there is a tendency that they will be delist in the exchange or will never be in a good exchange in the future. Being listed in coinmarketcap is one of the basis if a coin has a capable or not though its not 100% but it has an impact when it comes to price.

Coinmarketcap displays all the coins that are traded on well-known exchanges (except for ico-objects that have not yet released their tokens). I think the decision depends on you, you can invest on any coins whether you think it is potential. It will get listed in coinmarketcap too as you know every coin listed there has to pay a certain amount of money. All coins need is time. Most of the projects are waiting until they have a clear status of their statistics, and when they are reaching the requirements. Thus, I recommend you not to be on hurry to see them on the list.

It's very simple, if the project is not added to coinmarketcap, that means that the volume of trading of this coin or tokens has not reached $ 100,000 as soon as this happens, the coin should be added to the coin list

There's plenty of good coins that aren't on CMC yet because their trade volume isn't at 100k daily. A lot of these are just unknown at this point, with so many coins/tokens it's harder for legit projects to get seen.

https://fantasygold.io/ is a prime example. working products and a leader in fantasy sports and Esports.
Last weekend they held a DragonBall FighterZ live tournament in Las Vegas with leading Twitch streamers streaming it and pro Esport players at the event. https://fgcarena.com/

They have a fantasy sports website www.draftdaily.com
They also have Masternodes with great ROI https://masternodes.online/currencies/FGC/
The dev team are very responsive in their Discord channel https://discord.gg/9XDuA2C

A lot is going on with this project and more to come. It's just hidden amongst the tonne of other coins. But once volume increases it will be on CMC

It depends. Research everything about the coin. I would suggest that you keep an eye on their road map. From what I noticed, alt coins will increase once they reach a milestone on their road map. Know the demand of the coin and rely on your own research. Relying on ICO reviews can hinder your decision making and will lead you to purchasing a bad coin. As always, trust on your instinct.

Normally, to be listed on coinmartketcap, altcoins must be at least on an exchange and have a trading volume of $ 100,000. If it is a good altcoin, trading volume is okay and you see a profitable opportunity that is not listed on the coinmartketcap then you can invest a small portion of your capital, not all in. But I recommend investing in the good altcoins that have up the coinmartketcap, to minimize the risk of loss.

Coinmarketcap doesn't show tokens on it's own, generally the owner of the project of coins apply to get listed on CMC. There after depending upon the market value of coin and project, they can choose to show or not to show the tokens in there website. If you have done your own research about the project and token, you can buy it. Generally they get listed in a month of getting launched. Other website you can check is coingecko.com, they lists coins faster than CMC.

There are too many coins coming onto the market now so they only add coins with a large enough volume to prove it's worthwhile. Some coins are good but have ridiculously low volume like Monetha, which is even listed on binance!

In my own opinion, it was better to invest on a coin that is listed to coinmarketcap to secure that the coin is really safe to invest and not a scam just like what other ico's does to their investors.

Yes, invest in coins that not listed on coinmarketcap is too risky. Such coins will be worthless soon since the coins that aren't listed there mostly have less volume.

dont base only on what people saying on you. do a little investigation by yourself. do a little research about a certain altcoin before you buy it. dont just ask people.
All depend on your choice because you will use your money to buy it. People can say anything like dont buy or other word but they dont really make this siggestion for you. So always do own research and make own decision. Actually not listed in coinmarletcap not always bad for that coin since maybe the dev dont want to be listed there.

It's very simple, if the project is not added to coinmarketcap, that means that the volume of trading of this coin or tokens has not reached $ 100,000 as soon as this happens, the coin should be added to the coin list

Coinmarketcap has a requirement before they are going to list some coins, if i am not wrong the latest requirement is having a daily volume of $100k usd and i don't know whether they already increase this requirement amount of not. I think it is also good because the only one that got listed are coins with potential and a big community behind it rather than an unknown project with no future.

Many new coins either at the stage of the Ico or only all ended but have not yet been placed on the coinmarket and can not have any credibility. We need to see how they behave in the coming month and whether the minimum is reached, which is needed for enrollment and then make a final decision on them.

If a coin want to get listed on coinmarketcap then they must fullfil the trading volume requirement before applying there because it's no use to list dead coin with no volume and that's why there's a lot of coin on exchange that are not listed on coinmarketcap. They don't care about a project if there's no community behind it that can support it to create that minimum volume on exchange. If they list everything then there's going to be a lot of shitcoin there.

Only around 15% to 20% of all the altcoins are listed on Coinmarketcap. And you can't blame them. Many of the altcoins are not traded in any of the major exchanges and it can be a challenging task to keep tack of them.

There is no guarantee that all coins listed on coinmarket cap are good only so that should not be the only criteria.

However, as a new investor, you should prefer the top 10 or 20 coins on coinmarket cap. This will ensure that your holdings do not fluctuate much as these are very strong coins with less manipulation.

CMC requires 100k in daily volume and many of the little coins that don't have that wont show up. It could be a good idea if the project is good but many will have low volume and inaccurate pricing if they aren't on the CMC site.

As far as I know, token or coins are added to coinmarketcap, which are already traded on exchanges and their volume is more than $ 100,000. I can be mistaken, but like that. Therefore, they are conducting such a selection, which would thus be able to screen out projects.

But we see many Alts the daily traded value is under 50K $, so I think CMC may adapt others factors to list it

Lot of coins never getting listed to the coinmarketcap is due to the lacking from the development end. Some after achieving the targeted hard cap just takes away and never moves forward. By this instance those coins won't get listed, and there are few which has their own road map upon which listing will be done. This also delays, but were already a scheduled one.

I've also noticed that these coins tend to pop as soon as they're updated, especially if they're already in the top 100. My bet is that bots read CMC and people religiously refresh the page so if a new token appears, people go check the price, see it up a few %, and the FOMO begins

Coinmarketcap.com does not list the new Altcoin when they have not proven to be worth investing. That is why the company's new Altcoin marketing team will do everything possible to increase their trading volume as much as possible or at least $ 70,000 so they can be registered and also the coin exchange will be the same so that those of investors will come to their exchange

it is part of the roadmap or development of token or coin to get into coinmarketcap and coingecko as soon as the ico is finish or they are already traded on exchange, this is to track the volume and price now coinmarketcap is getting strict on who gets in, you need volume to get listed, this is the reason why some coins are not yet listed.

If the coins or tokens that is still not listed on coinmarketcap, it has many kind of reasons. The first is that maybe the coin or token has just ended up their sale, for the coins or tokens to be listed, it needs a minimum amount of volume for it to be listed in coinmarketcap. The second is that the ico has ended a month ago, and has still not reached its minimum trade volume, that's why its still not in the coinmarketcap. Just be careful on investing it, make a research first.

We've found that Circulating Supply is a much better metric for determining the market capitalization. Coins that are locked, reserved, or not able to be sold on the public market are coins that can't affect the price and thus should not be allowed to affect the market capitalization as well. The method of using the Circulating Supply is analogous to the method of using public float for determining the market capitalization of companies in traditional investing.

A lot of coins were not listed on market cap but still they sell on exchanges, coinmarketcap is just a site that shares to the public the details of a coin. Most people use this as a yardstick to separate the scam project from a legit onces but still there are still many coins that are scam that managed to get listed on coinmarketcap.

A trader is basically after profit, if research is made on a coin and it is not on coinmarketcap that shouldn't stop you from buying, you only need to measure the probability of gaining profit from such coin if you invest.

It could be for two reasons : 1) this is a brand new coin (most likely they will get to coinmarketcap some time later) 2) this is a scam project , that will never be listed on coinmarket cap , because it already scammed it's investors and coin already lose the trust of crypto community . If it's a first option , you can consider this coin for a purchase if you like a project behind it . If it's a second option - just forget about it , scam not worth your attention .

Getting listed on Coin market cap is of a big significance as this may suggest that the coin may have achieved successfully. If the coin is listed it is as well advertised and they are paying for such service. And it is costly so that we might presume that the coin may have just gathered enough investors for their ICO project. So it is an edge for those who would want to know if they have invested on the right coin.

There are so many cryptocurrencies listed on exchange already but still not available on Coinmarketcap just because its trading volume is too low. As I remember if any cryptocurrency wanna be listed on Coinmarketcap it must have at least $10k trading volume or maybe more than that, I don't remember it clearly. So if you wanna buy, you should move forward without worrying about anything ;D
Simply 100k usd volume an a span of 24 hour period which is the average numbers which is required for a coin to be listed on the site. Most of the time coins go below that volume would definitely be removed into the site.
When we do talk about investing into those coins im not saying it isnt bad since it can still deliver profits on long term not on shorter terms due to inactive trade out.
If you can risk then you can try but on my side since im an active trader, the higher the volume the better.

Why not, you can buy it, but before it you have to do research on the coins you want to buy.

It is not all coins listed on coinmarketcap that is good for buy. There are even times that some coins that are not yet listed on coinmarketcap are better of than some that are listed. That is more reason you need to do your research before buying any coin.

Coinmarketcap has a prequisite or do I say requirement you have to meet before your coin or token can get listed on it. I think your coin/token must exceed a specified trading value/volume($$$) before it can. So not all new projects or recents project gets listed immediately but I think if on the long run if the coin does not make it there then the project really is not that fantastic and doesn't get regularly traded.

There is a currency that I also wanted to invest into like Reality Clash Coin but its only listed on etherdelta exchange which I am not comfortable visiting because of the need for private key. Its also not listed on coinmarketcap but they are carefully developing the project. They even had released an app already on google play but this isn't listed yet on bigger exchange.  If they were listed I think the 100K exchange volume could be achieved which was the requirement of coinmarketcap nowadays.

because the volume of transactions has not been too much, and has not been listed in the project. so you will not be able to see the coin / tokens in coinmarketcap. but if the coin / token has entered the market. my advice hold and wait for the development of the project, it will make the price of coin / token rise, when volume increases

Eventhough the coin they launched not yet listed in coinmarketcap still learned to wait for a long time because they are able to plan when it is good to be listed in order to earned good profits. Everything will be done after the members of the projects will have an approval so be patience for now.

At first you need to know about the project and if it is good you can buy this token. Perhaps the token hasn't been listed on the exchanges and because of this it's on the coinmarketcap. It should have 100 000$ daily volume to be listed on the exchanges.

If altcoin is not yet on the coinmarketcap list, it means that it has not yet been registered with any of the major exchanges. Coinmarketcap should not at all influence your decision to purchase any coins. This decision must be made based on the degree of your trust in the project whose altcoy you are going to to acquire.

Mostly all projects want them to listed on coinmarketcap so that buyers and new investors can check all details there easily including exchanges on it is listed . but sometimes they don't get listed because of less volume and take more time . so if you think any such project which is underdog now and can be popular in future you can invest in it . also if you think coinmarketcap listing means any coin is good then you are wrong , many shit coins also listed there .

it is not necessary and complete truth , coinmarketcap only check 24 hr volume and some details about project . if it have enough volume then it get listed even if coin is only listed on normal exchange . after listing if volume drops then they don't remove it . so project (specially airdrop) sometimes also create fake volume for faster listing .

there are some criteria about coin/token if wanna listed on coinmarketcaps
one the them is
Must be on a public exchange with an API that reports the last traded price and the last 24 hour trading volume.

many coin/token have low volume on market exchange
that gonna be problem when u buy and hard to sell
but coin/token that not listed on coinmarketcaps isnt bad at all
they maybe just need to growing up

I think the list on the coinmarketcap is incomplete and I've experienced so often so if you want to know more clearly on the altcoin you have, check on the project's website.

In order for you to verify if the project is good search their team if they could able to improve the project. That's the good moves if you are planning to invest in a certain coin. Coins is listed in cmc if the coin has large volume. Search throughout the project could help us to decide before to invest.

Coinmarketcap lists only coins that have trading volume above certain threshould.
They have the full terms and prerequisites for listing a coin on their website.

Coinmarketcap is a company to assess an ICO and the price of the coin when listing in the market. Other companies / websites that look like Coinmarketcap there are many, only the more famous are coinmarketcap and coingecko. So, the listing of coin in coinmarketcap is not a good guarantee of the coin. Many coins listing in coinmarketcap have a very unstable price even said to fail. And many coins are not listing in coinmarketcap, but the price is stable and even successful.

With low volume, it's impossible to get listed in coinmarketcap.
Why is it necessary to get listed? Because this site is popular and people check on this site to look for coins to invest, so the team needs
to work to gain 24 hours trading volume of at least $100,000 in order to get listed AFAIK.

I agree with that. The coinmarketcap listing of crypto takes several steps and the enumerated lists vary greatly. They need to be selective, some crypto has been removed from the coinmarketcap. Jobs listed can also take a considerable cost.
