Title: How much have you lost during this bloodbath?
Post by: Nordwolf on March 18, 2018, 03:47:15 PM
I wonder how much people have lost money during this bloodbath which never seems to end. Maybe it will continue until the overall market cap is under 100 billion.

I bought Ethereum for 5000 euro in January when the price was 770 euros, and then for another 10 000 euro when the price was something like 900€. I also bought few Litecoins as well. From original 15 000 euro I have only 5000 left now, so i've lost almost 70% for now. I haven't sold anything yet.

ETH supposed to be one of the most stable coins but I really have no idea what I should do anymore. Actually I don't even care anymore if the price of 1 ETH goes to zero and I lose that remaining 5k because I have already lost so freaking much. I even had to put my house on a rent and move back to my parents for the next 1.5 years to recover from these losses if the price does not rise again.

Sorry for opening up but I had to share my story so I can feel a bit better..

You are not the only one you are losing money, everybody is. You must have patience. Stop looking at the price charts and if you can afford it, forget your investment for some time. If you are from the people who believe that eventually, cryptos will substitute fiat money (I am one of them) you have nothing to fear. If you bought them just to double or to triple your fiat in a matter of months I think you've invested in the wrong place. The crypto market is volatile and unpredicted, everybody says here to invest as much you can afford to lose.

I really feel you as most of the new crypto investors entered the crypto world when it was going vertical, im myself trapped in many tokens i invested during this bull run, i think market will recover, all those who cashed out due to fud will be taking new positions soon, just wait for the volume to be back and things will start getting better.

you did not lose money until you fixed the losses. Ie if you bought an asset for $ 2 and it began to cost $ 1 and you sold for $ 1, then you lost. If you bought for $ 2 and the asset was worth $ 1 but you did not sell it, then you have not lost anything. You just have to wait.

It is clear that homoconally very hard to wait. Even if you were hoping that investing money for the next month you will earn more than profit and even started thinking about your millions of dollars, I'm sorry. We need to be ready for the shaft in the market and work for a long perspective and not short-cut. Then you can earn money. Ie invested money in the crypto currency as there is and continue to continue to do their own business, work, family.

I calculated how much I lost ever since ATH in markets, its still like %75 for me. But I don't think ath is good place to measure as it was quite rare thing that happened and all coins jumped higher. So I can say I lost %50 or something.

In my opinion, your main mistake is that you put the money you needed in real life, and now your financial situation is very bad. But do not worry, you just have to wait until the market is back to its previous values

I allready lost 5% on my bitcoin but I would say its still a win win price and back than I bought load and later it increases and got give someone a load.

Here few tips I really learned from my sister and that is

1. Keep in mind you real money dont be an addictive investor.
2. When you have a investment holding on a bitcoin, Ethereum and altcoins, dont panic
3. Chill
4. You can see the chart and dont over think about it
5. If your holding chill calm down because the right time and increase will come
6. Think of it this way you will earn

I haven't lost anything as I haven't sold anything.
I'd only have loss if I trade away my coins with fiat.
The inter trading of my coins too are in profit for the last month.
And I've increased my holding spending more fiat.

I have lost more than 50% of my investment value. But I'm buying more now to reduce my average purchase price as now looks a good time to buy.  Most of the coins are at rock bottom prices and at a point from where they had earlier started their rallies.

I feel bad for you, many people here are at the same state as you were because as we all know, people who are hold their token had suffered, I myself have lost 70% of my portfolio, by simply holding the token. But as other suggested, I usually forget the chart for a few months because by doing this, I will not feel bad from what is happening to the crypto world. Anyways, I'm hoping that at the end of this year, crypto will recover.

Gain and lose are the two words that occur during the investment process. When they lose they cry too much. When they are, the household does not say I do not lose. In this tragedy, a smart investor will study carefully before making a decision, not a passive decision. I will continue to keep my coin and continue to invest if funds are available.

The value of my portfolio has decreased by about 50%, but I decided not to fix the loss, but continue to hold my coins. As you know, after a fall, growth always begins and vice versa. Be patient.

Since the bear market is coming, most people are in a state of losing money, so I don't want to worry too much about it.
All you need to do is hold, so when the bull market comes, you'll get a higher return.

All who kept their coins and did not sell at the fall of the market, lost their savings. All these people are certainly unhappy, including me. But at the same time everyone expects that the market will recover and the situation will improve.

Some investors have lost over 90% of their portfolios value. Ethereum is stabilize but if bitcoin falling everything else too. This is how market works.

In my opinion, you can only confirm that you have lost when you sell lower than you bought, however if you are still holding the crypto you bought, i will not say it is a loss, because when the market recovers, you are likely to come back to the original position and even make some profit. the problem is that many people are not able to hodl.

I think everything will be ok and the prices of the coins will be high again. Then you can win the money back.

If you want to avoid big losses during the bloodbath just hold if you see that your profit was not there, easy as that.
Holding is the safest way to avoid losses on your money in trading when the price is a decrease just keep on holding like what happens now I'm still holding my coins in my portfolio right now because of this bloodbath.
Control your emotion not to be panic and sell besides because patients here in trading is a must.

I'm not going to beat you up with the rule that people should only invest what they can afford to lose. It's true, but I guess that if you can keep your coins without selling them, then that means that you can still maintain your life with a few adjustments, but with no major losses (like going back to your parents). Since you are not really holding shitty coins, then I would say that you should just hold to them, like you are planning, and everything will probably be ok again. I'm also losing money, but I see my investment as a long term thing, so I'm not selling my coins, at least not in 2 or 3 years from now.

Yep, as you know that in this time there are so many people who have lost a lot, even twice than you lost. We all know that the crypto market is notoriously volatile, so you’d better be more patience because it always fluctuates, so the market will recover soon, I think so. However, do you know that this crypto market brings lots of risks, I think that you are really stupid when you give almost your important asset for cryptocurrency market. In anyway, I advise you that all you need to do now is keeping your head and waiting for and hope the good news of this market.

Yes, that's exactly my plan, I'm not gonna sell anything for another 1-2 years at least. I can still live at least normal life and I wasn't even looking for quick gains but it's still very, very scary to see the markets plunging even if I'm going to hodl for a long time. Only retards would sell everything at this moment. Maybe the best thing is to forget the whole crypto scene for a while but it's hard for your psyche if you don't know how the markets are doing.

This is the advice I can give to true crypto believers

I'm not considering what I invested in at lost yet because I haven't sold it and still holding it. I just won't sell my investments lower than my initial cost of investment. Hopefully the market would recover soon so that we could see hope in our investments. Let's just wait patiently.

I think many people have now lost a lot of money in this market downturn. But you done that didn't sell your coins, because then you'll lose your money. And now it can be compared to the fact that your funds are frozen for some period of time.

In terms of actual quantity I am holding for coins, I haven't lost any, since I am a strong believer of coins I am invested in The altcoins as well as Bitcoin I am holding are in a downtrebd, but I have been in this for too long that I understand that it will rise again and without any signs, crushing previous ATHs to new ATHs.The loss in USD would be around 50-60% of what once it was.

You do not give up properly and do not sell your coins in a panic when prices so decreased. I agree with the opinion that until you sell cheaper than bought, you have not lost anything. You really need to wait. But you did not need to invest all the money that is needed at the moment.

I didn't sell anything during the dip, when you think of how much you bought the token, so you feel reluctant to sell more when the price was lower.
If I have to sell now, I'll loose half of my money, so why am I running to sell? Which means I still keep my tokens and I even buy more to make more gains in future.

Just keep holding until new ATH so you will not lose your money this way. My motto is ''Be rich or die holding ''. Your portfolio only loses value in USD but you still have all your crypto so it is okay as long as you are patient and hodl for few years.

Yeah absolutely, in this bloodbath the only thing is to keep calm and presence of mind  with a strong determination and believing in yourself that someday this will recover the value in the market  the most is improtant is you save your coin into holding and serve this a challenges as part of patient for how many months or years is going.

I'm about 20% loss from january but that's because i sold and bought back lower, if i just hold my coin then i would've loss more than 60%. Overall i'm still in positive because of december rally really gave me a lot. I am looking for the opportunity to enter the market right now that the bottom is near. If you want to hold then you have to have the determination to do it.

Bought at the very early stage of the projects though. so didn't lose much but I lose the opportunity to profit more, I should have gained 8BTC if I just sold my altcoins and I was ready for it but changed my mind. Part of me regrets but also thinking of my future gains when the price of BTC finally hit back up 10x. The bloodbath since January might just be forgotten when we see soon the prices including the altcoins going up again.

dude, there is a lot of investors losing their money after they buy altcoins. dont count your loses, just hold it for now, we all now that this is just for temporary. and it will recover soon. uninstall your blockfolio, dont look on coinmarketcap, and forget about their prices for now. that's the only option we had.

Everytime that theres a big drop there will always be a lost, which is  not a good thing.
But for the other investors, everytime that theres a bloodbath theres always an oppurtunity. Oppurtunity to buy more coins .
Because they know that, if theres a big drop there will always be a big rise. Just wait with patient.

Yes, I know exactly how you feel, in just a month I lost 40% of my portfolio. It is so weird, I traded stocks before and never felt so big portfolio loss.

Good thing I left some money for cases of big discounts on nice coins so I bought more BTC at 8050$. I decided to start a small trend for myself.

I lost up to 80% on some coins.  Now we must wait for the big growth.  And probably I will reconsider my strategy for the future - when the fall begins, maybe I'll leave the altcoins, and go into bitcoin and fiat.  But I'm not sure yet.

Do you still believe in the long term future of crypto? I do, and it has helped me to put the losses of the last couple of months into perspective.
We all know that crypto is volatile, and recently it has been even more volatile than usual. Your timing looks a bit unfortunate as you bought close to ATH, but it is important to remember that an all-time-high is only all-time to the present moment. I believe that future highs will make current prices look very low. In a couple of years' time you will probably count yourself fortunate for having bought in when prices were so low. Yes they have dipped in the last couple of months, but crypto is very likely to rise well over the $1 trillion cap threshold in the medium-term. Don't panic; have faith!

The worst thing has been actually to see how so many bounties that I worked hard to get have lowered in value to the point of not being of any use. Other than that, I sold at decent prices before the big dips.

I am not opening my blockfolio any more, I don't want to really know how much I'm losing. But once you've lost most of your money, to sell is not an option any more. You just have to hold, and forget about the whole issue until the market recovers. It happened to me in 2014, I then lost up to 90%, but didn't sell then, and in 2017 I've got my money back with some gain.

I have lost 50% of my current holdings since bitcoin fell down below 8k but luckily I did not sell my alts at dip because I nearly sell all of it. In times of dip Everyone should calm down because being emotional will make you stressful

I don't know if this is considered losing money because I have not touched my coins ever since the dip started. I refrain from looking at the prices of my altcoins because I can see how the pilot coin is dramatically decreasing these past months, so maybe that is a good indication that my altcoins might have been decreasing too. So yeah, I think in my case, losing money is when you decide to sell it just because the bloodbath panicked you.

It's unfortunate of you to have to put up your house for rent and move back to your parents. I hope that you recover some of your loss. If holding is not cutting out for you, then you could probably try to short trade if you have any extra capital. By short trading, you may realize some profits faster then when you hold your token. Of course, this is also very risky and there's a great chance for you to lose more of your money if you are not careful of your trades. I suggest that you find other ways to recover your loss while you hold your token so that it won't be much of a burden. Many may have been affected as well by this bloodbath such as you have but not so greatly because their investments only took part a portion of their wealth.

I lost virtually but I won't count it as a loss because I am not going to cut my trades as I am positive market will bounce back and later hopefully I will be in profit again. I always think long term even I don't have any issue to hold my trades in such a hotch potch market. It already gives me alot. Be positive if you hold might be it can give you good return in the end but you need to wait for sure. Sooner market will get momentum.

thank you for comforting me. I lost more than $ 15k. But this is normal and I'm not too worried about it. I know I will be able to make more profit because I have learned a lot from the bloodshed of this market. When you have experience, you will have everything. You will make important and accurate decisions, which will bring a lot of profit. even over $ 15k.

In short, if you do have a weak heart then this crypto market isn't really suited for you and its much better to leave than to stress out yourself too much because price volatility will definitely kill you inside specially when you put up large funds and at the same time you would able to hear out upcoming negative news. This would really make your heart pump out came from your chest.haha. For now I haven't sold any of my holdings which means I haven't loss yet even I'm still on negatives.

Im sorry to hear that, you shouldnt be doing that because cryptocurrencies has high volatility if you arent into trading you should be more careful because you need technical and fundamenal analysis with your trades because you wont win trades if you are only using your intuition or if you are trading blindly, you can still recover from that if you know how to trade very well.

I lost half of my investment,if i could turn back the time i will stick with the bitcoins so that i wont be trapped with these bleeding altcoins because it is too dangerous if bitcoin's going to move wildly and it could be the reason why these altcoins' price would be -70% or more that is why if i recovered investment i wont be sticking with altcoins.

It depend on how you define "lost".  I'm down 50% from my portfolio all time high at the end of 2017, but still up 4X from my original investment.  So, I haven't really lost anything, I'm just not up as much as I used to be.

If you just look at the assets of yours in terms of money then, of course, the result will be reduced, but to be honest the assets of yours still intact in terms of coin and not diminished at all. your decision is already good if you don't panic and still holding the coin you have, that you have to do is just be patient and wait for the price of coins on the market give you profit.

You still have not lost anything, this is a temporary state, you should not think of it as lost money. The market will recover and you will again be rich. You just have to wait.
Being reach is overreacting, but someone might that is true. However, I really do agree - you cannot lose something you didn't really have. That is if we are talking about someone losing a profit one didn't cash out, not if we are talking about someone investing during the peak just to see it crash.

Cryptocurrency is a high risk and high volatile market. Always expect the unexpected and before buying always expect that the price of the coin could halve anytime. Thats why you only invest what you can afford to lose.

I think there is nothing definite in the cryptoworld, so we can not predict any profits to be gained, so this is like a no guarantee bet. You are not the only one who lost money, everyone. You must have patience. and take advantage of every opportunity to invest. You need not be afraid. If you buy it just to multiply or multiply your numbers in a matter of months, I think you've invested in the wrong place.

Until you sold your coins you did not lose anything. In this situation, you need to hold your coins. The market will not constantly fall. After a fall, growth always begins. So you just need to wait. And your deposit will soon return to its previous value. And I hope even to increase.

I'm sad to hear your story.
To be honest i also suffered defeat, but not more than 25%. Although not as much as you, but disappointment is inherent in the self. My luck is bigger because before this incident i sold almost all my coins or about 90% when the price reached $19000 and started re-investing when the price was around $14000. Who would have thought that the price would decrease. So i was forced to sell when the price of $11000 and currently i still leave some coins or a total of about $25000.
I'm still dilemma whether to sell (loss) or to hold it. The thought is always spinning in my mind. If only i didn't sell when the price of $19000 was probably i would die standing because of this incident.

I even had to put my house on a rent and move back to my parents for the next 1.5 years to recover from these losses if the price does not rise again.

Sorry for opening up but I had to share my story so I can feel a bit better..
I will a liar if I said I lost a certain amount of money to the blood bath because i have bought my holding since year 2016 and i'm maintaining/investing/spending the coin i earn now. However, you have lost your investment OP since havent sell your holding and i will advice you to hold till May or more for good profit cause the market will recover next month.

it's a pain to watch your money go away like that but when you believe in something that crypto will dominate the earth someday as a form of payment  then you will have to sacrifice a lot during your walkthrough, i lost my fair share of money too but still hoping for my coins to recover

Okay, actually we will not loss anything as long as we don't sell our investment in lower price. I agree with your quote, actually you will never fail if you never stop trying to be better. Work smart not work hard. I am not loss anything because I don't sell anything at lower price.

I haven't sold anything yet.

we all had the same experience, but why are you coming up with these matter? you invest those, so you must know what to do, unless you dont have enough knowledge, you just invest without knowing the risk.

Not much because i sticked to USD whenever the market is going down that is why iam able to buyback from the bottom or dips, then buy altcoins so that the market movements wont affect my portfolio too much and after the market has recovered i am going to sell the altcoins that i bought from the dips and yes that is profit from the bloodbath.

Trading on cryptocurrency exchanges is always associated with a huge risk and you need to be ready from the very beginning to lose  your investment. Never invest in crypto-currency borrowing or loan funds secured by real estate or any other property, since things can be lost in an instant.

I did not buy crypto currency for fiat, so I can not say exactly how much I lost. Most of the crypto currency I received as a payment for the work and for the bounty campaign. I guess that, then I lost about 2000 dollars.

In this market you need to be a whale, do not drain coins all at once .. Everything will grow on long-term investment, the main thing is to be able to wait .. Better buy coins and do not go to your purses anytime soon, just forget about their existence. The market will fall many more times, but in any case it will rise many times!

Not too much  because i am sticking with the USD pair if and only if the market will fail, buyback from the bottom then buy some good altcoins surely you will be making a lot of money. What if bitcoin's going to go bull ? simply stick with bitcoin so that you wont be affected by the bull runs, because most of the time altcoins are bleeding whenever bitcoin's move up or down.

I hope the market takes a bullish turn as me move towards the ending of the first half of the year.

No for me it's not a lost only when you sold if the altcoins you've bought on the peak has been sold on the dipped but if you still holding it there are higher possibilities to come back on it's peak price or even surpass it.

People who come and buy and sell rapidly often end up nothing with them. I have lost enough in the bloodbath to leave this market and go somewhere else trying my luck but I never withdraw my money and Hold when everyone is panic selling their coins. As one should understand that it might be a bad day or week or even month but time and market changes after some time.

I have not lost anything. I did not sell crypto currency, so I had the same amount as it was. The price fluctuations do not affect your assets until you start selling / buying them. I'm sure that the highs for most coins will be surpassed this year, but you can talk about earnings only  when you make a sale.

Just hold on to your coins bcoz it may not make sense selling at a huge loss now. You are lucky because you bought a strong Crypto which is ethereum and not shitcoins. I lost a lot, like a half of my savings, but it is ok, as well as I didn't sold everything and didn't fix loss. What is more, all of that money I gained in crypto, so I am not that dissapointed. Next time don't put all of your savings in crypto. it is not conscious

I'm down 80% from my ATH. :) but in terms of profits / losses, I'm still positive for most coins :) there are some that I'm at a loss now because I was hoping to trade them short term, but that turned out bad. So overall, still believing in crypto and the projects I hold! The market is going to recover in several months I hope.

Calculating the USD value I lost more than $ 2,000 in this reduction. But I decided to hold them without selling them. Today prices of altcoin are gradually increasing, this is a good sign for the market. I hope that they will explode in the next few weeks. I will take back what I have lost in the past.

Well all of us do had a lost in our holdings already. Actually my token worth a couple of thousand dollars now worth about 800$. But it is healthy when we compare the past years price drops from what is happening right now. We just need to believe in the strong upcoming of the cryptocurrency market.

I invested when the price was low. Low as in around $600 USD and kept on investing a little by little. Based on this i am actually still on profit and right now during this fall i am once again investing. The more its falling the more i am investing. The price will eventually go back up and recover giving me maximum profit. You should do the same too.

Honestly, it is wise to invest to that extent, especially into something that is not stable at all. At the same time, who knows, maybe you`ll become rich in a matter of a year or two. High risk- high reward that`s how I look at it.

Most people who were late to sell all their tokens before the bear market started lost a lot of money. I have lost almost $5,000 worth of money on my portfolio. I am still holding and waiting for the market to recover. That is the best that most people can do right now, since selling at this point will only result to losses.

I'm sorry for your loss bro. But if you lost almost 70% now, I think selling coins now is pointless. Most of us here lost our investment because of this market fall. I only lost in dollar value for about 40% because I already sold all my alts in exchange with bitcoin. Practically I don't consider it as a loss because it is hard to convert bitcoin to fiat because of maximum transaction to convert and tax issue. In bitcoin value I actually gain more profit.

40% is definitely a big loss.

I was almost too late to sell mine so I still got my profit but I could have earned more. I lost about $16K of profit. Its such a mess when your tokens are in the MEW and you need to send it as quick as possible but you need to get your password in a file within your computer so you will once again try to login into your computer and find it. Still I'm lucky enough to have sold.

Playing the market, especially with such volatile tools as crypto-vials is very risky. Here you have to be either a very long-term investor or have some exclusive information to play in the moment.

And i was like verybody else greedy, and thought there more to get. So i hold and then the correction came. And then i got like loose of 50% of my early invest. The good thing is, i participate in so many bounty campaigns, that i have easily make my lost good with the bounty tokens and coins and even have a huge profit if i would sell them now. But im holding and wait untill bitcoins has better stand.

According to my mind, your main mistake is that you put the money you need in real life, and now your financial situation is so bad. But do not worry, you just have to wait until the market returns to its previous value or just wait for the volume to return and everything will start to improve.

Many people also experienced what you have got at the bloodbath crypto months ago.
But, I'm sure that if you are ready to get in crypto, you must be ready for the risks.
Now, the price is better than what you have experienced a few weeks ago. Now it is better although today I can see red on the market.
But, it is better to stay hold our coins when the price is low. We all see in the last some weeks that the price is very dropped and now they grow higher.
It means that everything can happen in the crypto world. You must have more strategy to invest in promising coins and hold it when it is a lower price.
It is precisely easy to say, But I also did the same, I only kept my coins during the bloodbath and now I can make some profits.

I am in a similar situation, I entered to crypto and invested in some coins at their pick, my portfolio is now 60% down, I have not sold anything either, waiting for the market to recover to make up my loses. I invested in ETH and LTC mainly as they were the best coins at the moment but after the crash the performance of these coins are bad and the price is way low. Nowadays I do not even check the price, I am just hoping that the market will turn around to recover my investment. Hodl is the only option I have.

Well I'd say I lost a higher % than most, given the low volume now it shows most people cashed out already. I have hodled from the boom and until now during the crash, seeing all my potential profits vanish away into debt liabilities. I'm one of the few fools that refused to cash out during the crash. No point cashing out now, may as well let it ride. It's always comforting to meet a fellow HODLer in the same shoes as mine.

Over fifty percent of my entire portfolio would be an accurate representation for how much I have lost during this bloodbath. I am still holding though because if anything I have learned in all of my years being in crypto, is that the only time you lose money is when you sell your coins for lower than you bought, so just holding the coins and waiting for the bull before selling again

I lost about $700 USD during this bloodbath, but i won't say i already lost them, because i believe if i wait, i'm 100% sure that this will pass too, and all of my altcoins will rise and increase its value and price again soon

Actually there were also some other people who lost during bloodbath but I think the best way to do is to just keep holding especially that the coins that you have are those tops coins in which there is a big possibility that they will recover soon and double their value. You will not incurred losses if you will hold and be patience in waiting because ups and downs in crypto world is just normal. Me I actually didn't lose anything as I am into campaigns in which I am not investing any single penny from my pocket but the money that I got from bounty is the one I am putting into crypto investment as well but not that big.

fortunately, I managed to withdraw all my funds in the first days of the fall. and now I'm buying coins again, which I sold at the end of last year. but many of my friends have lost a lot of money due to the fact that they did not have time to withdraw their funds and were too greedy.

Well IMO the blood bath is going to get much worse from here but thats a another story and only for the short term (1-2 years). The long term bull case for crypto is still intact and if you can hold you coins than they will eventually recover (only quality coins btc/eth/monero). I am gonna hope that you havent used credit cards or taken loans to pick them up.But the fact that you have had to move back with your parents tells me you have invested to much of your savings into crypto

'll try to correct your words a little. If you were buying normal coins, such as the Etherium or any other altcoin from the top 10, you lost nothing. Yes, you didn't make the right decision buying coin on one of the highs, but you should understand that the price will return to these prices or even higher, and you will make a profit, you just have to wait for some months.

But i think if you know everything, it it good to by now.  You are the one who afraid of losing the price of your coin even it is the same token with different value.  almost all person does think about that, that's why the market still circulate then the price was hard to rise because of the afraid.  Just compare the price last year and the price now, you can see a big difference that can make you comfortable.

Until you sold your coins, you did not lose anything. As in the case of growth, until you have sold the coins - you have no profit.
Now it is difficult to predict what will happen next. I do not see any negative news. I'm waiting for growth in the near future.

During this bloodbath in general, most of my holdings in my portfolio have increased because I am continuing to accumulate more and holding until I reached my target price/goal date. I believe for long term, better days will come. Even though my portfolio shows around 60-70% down, I have already preserved my capital and just waiting for the right time to reap profit.

You are not the only one affected by this down price, everybody is affected. You just have to be patient. What I can suggest is that stop looking at the price chart all the time and if you can afford to loose, forget your investment for some time.

This is really a very strong correction, which lasted for half a year. The market is going down and down. I was partly lucky. Because I bought a lot of coins at the bottom of the market. Only the coins I bought during the ICO were sifted. And some of them have lost 90% of the ICO price. But I think nothing to be upset, those who came to this market for a long time, be sure to get their profits, you just need to wait a little

You have normal savings in cryptocurrency. I think you should not worry about the fact that Ethereum or Litecoin will cost zero, because the probability of this is very small. There are much more chances that the prices for cryptocurrencies will start to grow and you will multiply your savings. I, just like you bought some coins at a price higher than they are today, but I do not sell anything and therefore I can not yet say that I have lost something because of this drop in prices. You lose only when you sell coins cheaper than bought.

We really need to learn how to gain some more profits despite the bloodbath. There are people who prefer see reds in the market, than market being in greens. The reason being that they gain more by the time the prices of coins in the market have plunged. There was a time i got to realize the principle behind investing and gaining from crypto market during bloodbath. So, personally, it is not a moment of loss for me. Instead i gain more.

Why are you so irresponsible about your budget? If you decide to invest, be it cryptocurrency or any other assets, the first thing you should ask yourself is "am I Ready to lose this money?" Hence the main conclusion-never invest more than the amount you are willing to lose. If 15,000 euros is your entire budget, then invest 10% of that amount, your real life should not be exposed to such risks. And again, you bought at the peak of what can not be done, you should understand that after a rapid growth is a market correction, which can be delayed for a long time. Therefore, I advise you to wait for a new wave of growth and not to sell at a loss.

Over fifty percentage of my complete portfolio would be an accurate representation for a way tons i've misplaced at some stage in this bloodbath. i am still maintaining even though because if whatever i've discovered in all of my years being in crypto, is that the simplest time you lose money is while you sell your coins for lower than you got, so just maintaining the coins and looking ahead to the bull earlier than selling once more

A friend of mine lost a decent amount of money on bitcoin despite buying from $500 onwards. I've had 4 exchanges die on me (with coins on) lost coins mining and lost coins trading. I've lost wallets and forgotten passwords. I could have done better, I could have done worse. It's a fascinating subject with a hefty dose of risk. It's not a no-brainer, especially for new entrants.

As far as I am concerned, I have invested in all the currencies inside, and I have prepared this mentally.
If I have lost all, I am not afraid because I am within my capacity
In fact, I personally feel that it is impossible to completely lose money. Although it is now in a loss state, I don't want to be free to operate. My currency is still my currency, and it will surely rise again. I have confidence in my own currency.ncy.

Let say I lose 80 percent in total of my investment but by just doing tradings with other I recover the 30 percent so I was like down 50 percent now . I do not have a plan to cash-out thus I want to wait for the big booms in crypto world . :)

Do not worry. The main thing is that you have invested your money in reliable coins, and not in shitcoins. The only thing is, you are not lucky that you entered the cryptocurrency during the peak, and now the market is in correction. Although many bought large amounts of eth for 1000+ euros in January, you're still lucky.
I advise you to stop following the course of crypto-currencies for a couple of months. Engage in self-education, read books about cryptocurrencies to understand the market better.

Nothing! Because I do not sell at a low. Why would I even do that if I won't earn anything from it? See, the amount we invested should be the amount we are willing to lose. So if and when the market crashes, we are willingly to wait patiently until the recovery. Panic is not in my vocabulary.

Actually I found this is an unprecedented bloodbath. I am just a small investor with a small amount of capital. Around the beginning of May, 2018 when bitcoin was at 9.7k usd and then down I thought my chance had come, I gathered my money plus borrowed my friend friend bought 10 bitcoin for $ 9.1k i think then the bitcoin price will go up soon. But it was not unexpected that it did not increase but it was worse off. Until now at the end of June 2018 bitcoin price then you know it. Today is 5.9k usd / 1 bitcoin. So for nearly 2 months I lost about $ 30,000. Really is the worst thing for me

since i'm a miner of ETH, even at this price i'm getting very little profit.

If i were to calculate how much money i've lost since max values, i would say 72% down. The same as the value of the coin at that moment compared to now.

if i consider the value of the last 60 days, i've lost about 40% of ETH value.

BTW:

1 the market will not recover to January max values NEVER.
2 be prepared to lose it all.

Honestly, I haven't lost anything in this bloodbath. Sure, if I count all the profit I could have made in January if I sold for dollars, then I've lost so much. But that's the thing, for us holders or believers. We didn't sell yet what we held. So we haven't made profit yet, or losses on that.

Now for speculative holds, ah yes, I lost a lot on Elastic, but I also made a lot on Sia during the spikes, and Verge several times, all recovered my capital and even covered the Elastic losses. Now I just have some of all these, I could sell any time for even more profit, but will hold them "forever" now I guess.

Are you sure you must sell the lowest position? I think the cryptocurrency market has risen and fallen. This is normal. I choose to hold it for a long time, which will bring me more income.

You are losing only if you sell. If you are holding top coins like ETH or BTC why would you sell them? If we invest only that amount we do not need for life then we are safe and can wait for the market to recover again and increase and will have  profit from our investment.

I would like to not consider it as a loss yet because I'm still hodling my coins, and I believe that once the prices spike up again, I will get my funds back, and even some profits. Of course, given the fact that at the beginning of 2018 the etherium was priced at $ 900 or $ 825, then Until now, investments in the etherium have fallen 4 times. But this is an average figure if we consider the fall in prices for other coins.

I lost 99.35 of all my wealth in the last nine months of the bear market, but now I think I found something that might help me slowly win back the money over time. I have invested what little I got left in three promising projects, two already have use cases and products and one is going to launch its platform end of the month. So I think with these three, plus another project I have in mind and some trading plus arbitrage, things might turn around for me. Yesterday ARBITRAGING launched their manual arbitrage robot and I am going to start saving up for that so I can do manual arb trades.

I've dropped a lot more than 50% associated with my personal whole profile because The month of january, as well as indeed, this really is a lot more than unfortunate personally however all of us really should adapt to this sort of marketplace problems which are frequently occurring.

by my standards it is enough to think about whether it is worth staying here, but I do not lose hope to compensate for this.

There are many people with similar stories , and it is really a pity for such people that they have become hostages of the market , the best way is to expect that the price will return to its place or become more.
