As we all know bitcoin has come long way in the eight or so years its been in existence, but their's still long way to go before the digital currency becomes a widely used method of paying for goods and services.

the only challenge that i can think of which really matters is adoption. and that is not something you can fix, it is something that is fixed on its own with time.
as time goes by more people find out about bitcoin and more of them start using it. some are merchants and some are users and they all make the ecosystem grow.

1. Since crypto is a challenge to government fiat currency, not being squashed and stamped out by government regulation and FUD will be a huge challenge. Until governments can control it completely, they will claim that it serves no purpose, is only for terrorists to wash their money, etc. Since Bitcoin is the most popular crypto, it will take the brunt of the attack.
2. By educating people and/or electing people who know better.
3. See above. Also, older people tend to be more distrustful of crypto and young people tend to embrace it more because they understand it. I think a healthy distrust of government and an understanding of the technology are the keys to mass acceptance for Bitcoin.

I think national policy is the biggest challenge for bitcoin.
The second is the emergence of quantum computers, which in the future may be able to crack bitcoin's private keys.

Some of the challenges that a person must overcome is facing the truth that bitcoin's price will never stay the same and will definitely rise and fall from time to time. Another is that bitcoin can be earned easily but not considered "sure money". The biggest challenge nowadays doesn't come from Bitcoin itself, but rather from the outside (external source). Bitcoin has been used widely by people all around the world. The ease of use is already far better than years ago. The confirmation time is much faster since Segwit take effect. The transaction fee is back to very very cheap like it used to, ranging in the cents USD. The only problem is the government. Most government, especially in third world country, still not allowing their citizen to use Bitcoin as a means of payment.

The biggest challenge for bitcoin holders is the frequent drop in value. If this continues probably many people will panic and dump their bitcoins and settle for a much better cryptocurrency. The most important challenge faced by bitcoin users is the bitcoin price fluctuation that is so active every time that they must have the skills to read the charts if investing in the short-term. As for other challenges is the rise of negative news about bitcoin and bitcoin users should have confidence that bitcoin can survive from FUD news that is likely to affect the movement of bitcoin prices in the market. I also learned from friends who have long experience in this crypto and the key to facing the challenge is to be patient and wait for the right time to benefit from the investment we do on bitcoin.

Being an active user of bitcoin has significant benefits and minimal struggles too. Maintaining the appropriate way of doing the business in every aspects is like a trial-and-error if you don't know what you are doing for. So in return, it might shut off your access to continue.

The biggest challenge that Bitcoin will be facing is the regulation of governments and those who spread FUDs. How to prevent it? no one can prevent it, because there are countries that don't want to about Bitcoin being a method of payment or make it legal currency. Another challenge is the volatility, as long as Bitcoin price are not stable, there will be only few businesses and services that will want to accept it as a payment. How we should we face those challenges? I don't think that Bitcoin will become a currency that is being widely used for buying goods (for now) because people will always think of Bitcoin as an investment instead of using it as a medium of payment and we have to accept that.

Well for me.. I see some other countries dont accept what bitcoin is, they need to take a look beyond crypto/digital currency in a future how they can help thier economy, and we can faced it by trying to encourage those people who didnt understand it or try to motivate them
 

I can say "Patience" and "Time management" is the most challenging in bitcoin.You cant prevent them, you need to endure them. Why? If we have a lack of patience, you couldnt survive earning profit from BTC, and also without time management, it is hard to earn bitcoin, when, where, and how.

I also think the biggest challenge in bitcoin is the application. The good news is that in recent years, digital money is being known by more and more people. Our community is expanding every day. The bad news is that most governments are skeptical or even opposed to the special currency. This is well understood, because bitcoin will snatch the control of the government and other departments.

The thing I worry most about is that governments would impose stricter regulations on crypto in general.
This could range from higher taxes on profits made or even the outright banning of certain forms of cryptocurrency.

I doubt that it would take too long before the EU comes with more regulations, I really hope they'll make them as permissive as possible.

The common challenges I face as a bitcoin investor is tge stereotyping of people towards me. They think that because it came from the internet, I'm already an online scammer. They think that because bitcoin's value is unstable, it wouldn't have a future. Apart from this however, the things that makes me scratch my head the most is bitcoin's unstable value. It makes it hard for me to pick a time for me to reap what I earned.

these days it seems to me like the biggest challenge that newcomers (which are a big part of bitcoin users) are facing is all this FUD that is flying around. imagine you are new and want to know more about bitcoin and you keep hearing all this misinformation online from news sites, even big ones like Forbes and CNBC and all you can see is doomsday!

In addition to these there are various other issues which cannot be prevented by the user. For instance, if your country decides to ban bitcoins completely, you cannot do anythign about it.

I have many challenges on my mind but these are the few of it - adoption and FUD news.

If there are many countries supporting digital money, the digital currency community will become bigger and bigger, and the number of people who are new to the digital currency will be more and more. The most serious challenge that faces bitcoins users are the FUD and all the negativity that's going around in the media at the moment. Because these negativity, newbie investors just panic and they begin to sell their bitcoins which drops the price down considerably.

Simplest challenge I had faced in bitcoin is hold.I had some bitcoin in my wallet for long.Whenever the price fluctuate,I had often try to sell.It made me panic many times.The challenges I had met is to hold my bitcoin in such fluctuation times.

the only challenge i know about is just the decrease in the market value and national regulatory system,

in my opinion one of the challenge is that btc has so many uneducated investors which own the coin and are so open to panic and are affected easily from FOMO or FUD by resulting in so high volatility.

1. The challenge bitcoin faces is the need for internet connection. Yes you can store the value offline, but the issue surfaces once you use it for transaction. As someone who lives in a third world part of the world, bitcoin is a hassle to be used as a major mode of payment.

2. We can prevent this if the internet services will be decentralized as well. I don't know how this will be possible but the internet providers from where I live is an empire and they have control of the connectivity. Free public wifi is not really free and the connection is super slow that your eyes will bulge and turn red from waiting. Only those who have some extra money to spend are those who can afford a good internet connection.

3. How should we face this challenge? If you are living in a metro, this is easily managed. But if you are living in the country side, good luck. For now, the only thing I can think off is if the government will allow outside investors to compete with the major communication giant to pressure it into giving people a better service .

I think that the most common challange for average Bitcoin user is security and choosing a proper wallet. Some people prefer more convenient solutions (web wallets) rather than security (hardware and software wallets). I started with Electrum and I'm still using it all the time because I think it's one of the most secure options available right now. Beside security, new users have to deal with large amounts of knowledge which is required to discuss with other users or trade. Predicting the price is very easy, but you have to give a proper reason why you think that it will happen.

I think the number one challenges that Bitcoin facing out today is the country that didn't allow or support Bitcoin to use by their countrymen, cause even though some people hold some Bitcoin it would hard for them to find an exchanger we're they can convert their Bitcoin into Fiat currency, second is investment in Bitcoin, It really test your ability on how to monitor your alt coins just to make sure that you wouldn't missed the right time when Bitcoin gets pump up.

For me is the security issue is the most and common challenges that ever encounter in every bitcoin holders, if your account will be hack or you forgot and lost the key then your holding will be lost forever.

my opinion is :
1. On the bitcoin challenge is the fall in market prices (bitcoin prices are being destroyed)
2. saving electricity usage, do not sell bitcoin at a price that adds down to the price of bitcoin or other coin
3. By saving electricity and holding the bitcoin sale price at the price it should be in order to raise the sale price of bitcoin. as well as for other coins

One of the main challenge that i felt that a btc user has to face is that they should be ready to take up any kind of risk while being a btc holder .The price of the btc market depends on the market trend and the btc holder has to be updated about the market trends or else they will end up in loss. Another thing which can affect a btc holder can be the unexpected ban that can come up in their nation if any government but ban on btc investment they will no longer be able to use btc in their nation and it can also affect the investor as they will be in huge loss and it is not everyone's piece of cake to afford btc these days.Apart from that it is the best investment decision one can do in this scenario.

The common challenge in bitcoin is it's volatility. Because of unpredictable prices.

Through the years of being a bitcoin user, the fast changes in the price of bitcoin is the only thing that i think that is a common challenges because you can lose hope and just quit in doing bitcoin because of the volatility that might piss you off since you can really lose money because of that. Just like what is happening for the past few days that the price of bitcoin dump so hard and the other people already lose some of their money by panic selling.

Motivation is not a key for them, it is the knowledge of what the system can do in the market is the most important foundation of not making people sell their bitcoin. If we could distribute the information with the trusted influencers that is well known from that country, it would be a great impact not also the society but in the market.

As in G20 summit announced cypto currencies are not currencies its like asset because of huge volatility. I think major challenge with bitcoin is volatility where no one can predict actual value . Like currency which i having value . Wher while buying anything we know the exact value in any country in terms of local currency. But we cant fix the price for anything using crytpo currency or bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not used by the users what is meant for we are using as money making product buy just dumping and bumping so if the user want to spend his bitcoin without converting it into fiat is not possible yet.And the price volatility is the big problem with bitcoin so no one want s to use it as a currency.

As of now, the problem I see that bitcoin users are facing is the regulation of cryptos in a country. Until now, no one knows how governments will act upon the current technology and how could they actually put taxes. It really confuses and threatens some or most of the users since they do not know how high they could probably get.
In some countries, like the Philippines, there are already fees for cryptos to be converted to fiat. There are not much of the stores accepting bitcoins that is why converting it to fiat is recently used. And today, taxes and regulations are still up in the news putting another burden to the users. Instead of putting stores first to implement the use of cryptos and to observe how effective it could have, they are starting to suck up from it as soon as possible. I can not really feel its convenience yet they are starting to get really annoying about fees.

I think guessing about the price,i think many investor had experience it,and im sure that we can avoid it by researching about reading the graph,it might be helful.as of now the price of bitcoin was quickly moving because of many people who invest on it.

For those people who heard about bitcoin being in the news and they know that you have bitcoin but since the news is negative reporting about it being involved in illegal activities then they would just easily conclude that you are doing illegal activities as well. It is hard to convince close minded people and they are just brainwashed by the media. This is one of the challenge of a bitcoin user. It is better to keep our mouth shut and let them believe what they want to because eventually they will realize their mistake when more people are using it and they are still being negative about it. Another challenge is when people earn big amount of money through trading and your bank decided to suspend your account because you are a suspect of money laundering since you suddenly have a big amount of money. It can be easily proven when you show your trading history but some takes time to accept your evidence.

Lol :) I would say the first challenge for the bitcoin user is the bitcoin user itself.  Because some might spreading fake news about bitcoin. 
They should avoid being panic by the fake news and selling their coins for low value.
This gives a great dump to the price of bitcoin in the cryptomarket. Trading is always unpredictable so we should have some patience before making a decision.

The most challenging issues that's bitcoin facing right now are the country that banning Bitcoin for their countrymen,  there are really countries that banned Bitcoin due to being anonymity, cause if you make a single mistakes specially in paying some important bills you cannot reverse it anymore, that's the biggest problem that Bitcoin facing thru why some country's banning bitcoin totally.

I agree, I think how the government is trying to harness or regulate bitcoin is the problem. They just can't accept that it will be hard to regulate and tax bitcoin. So they create regulations that somehow scares people and slow down the adoption.

1. How will you protect your bitcoin? First it is your identity that needs to be protected. Email accounts and every account on different websites should be change password once a month or twice. That should be mandatory because it could lead to a clue on how they can hack you.

It's almost the same for all of us, the high and erratic volatility rate bitcoins has clearly affects most of us and altcoins in the market.

Base on my own experience the challenges that I already encounter are joining a scam ICO I have already scammed 2 times but I still don't loose hope I joined again and again to get more experience and profit in it.

for me major challenges bitcoin currently facing is acceptance of every government as we all know lot of countries are still no considered bitcoin as an alternative mode of online payment. we can prevent this by continuous undying support snd prove that bitcoin in blockhain platform can deliver transaction securely and fast compared than common bank to bsnk transaction. we can face the challenges buy ongoing upgrade and develop more secured, effecient and fast applicstin using decentralized blockchain technology.
