Hello guys,

I'm already in Crypto since march 2017 and made a decent amount of money to pay off my bills and some holidays.

I had a situation in my family few months ago where I received a lot of money from my dead granma.

I would like to chose ONE crypto and go "all in" with around 50k usd.

My goal is 1 year HODL and then withdraw most of it for an house or something like that.

Doing my own research I found ICON (ICX) as possible 10-20x cryptocurrency in this given timeframe.


PS: Please do not suggest unknown or shitcoins. (I know those may make a good money but I am not confident on putting so much money in these).

ICON will always be a good investment project. The direction of the market is still declining. The bear market seems to be unfinished. I think you need to wait for the bull market.

50k USD is a huge amount of money dude and i wont recommend you to go all in on any on the single coins..you can do many things with that amount and if you want to invest in cryptos invest 30-40k USD out of those and split them,buy bitcoin,ethereum and neo from the major part of it.
Also it will be best for you to invest in some good potential ICO's,spend time read through their white papers and invest accordingly which may give you 10x which you want.
Also you can invest in coins like MNX and park them in Minexbank to earn more MNX or buy waves and lease them to earn more waves.
Lots of options for you and i would like that you split your money

Then why not invest in the safest bet Ethereum. Currently, it is @ $545, which is almost 62% down from the recent all-time high. And it is surely gonna reach $2k+ in the next bull run. So, you can easily 3-4x your investment.

I would actually advise you to not do that, i.e.: put all of your eggs into one basket.

Diversify and split your risk. If it were me I'd choose 1 major crypto (BTC = most favorable/ETH/LTC) and a combo of some other altcoins.

Don't do that dude. Don't go "all in". I have done it before. I have invested my 20k to titanium (BAR) which was very very promising token 1.5 months ago. And then it was hacked. Now I even cant sell them 4k.

If you choosing to put all in one coin then your choice should be top 5, if you want to invest altcoins then do your own research there are some high potential growth comming up this year, but if you want low risk profit go for bitcoin.

$50k is the really huge investment and my humble suggestion don't invest all the money into the single project and you can find there are many other projects which have higher potential in the market and let's divert your money into different potential projects.

If you want coins which have 100X or higher potential then I would suggest the following ones:


Oyster Pearl (PRL)
Blockport (BPT)
Matrix AI Network (MAN)



All of those 3 projects are massivly undervalued. Especially MAN has massive potential to even become a top 5 coin.

But as some others suggested, make sure you mix things up. Going all in on one coin for 1 year is a massive risk no matter which coin you pick. Split your money across at least 3 coins.

I would like to suggest you invest in Cardano because development of their project is quite evident, Yeah i have invested on Cardano but not too much, I'm sure that easy to gain 10x or 20x or more in a year, Nah I quite agree with dude above, that better don't invest in one coin.

that's lot of money and I wouldn't go all in one crypto. In my opinion you should spread it out and invest some in cardano, iota, powr, eth and spend some in bitcoin and then use rest to buy ICO as they can make you huge profit in short term.

I will suggest don't go with one single crypto to minimize the risk as investment in cryptocurrency are riskier. Invest in 4 to 5 coin and diversify your portfolio. as you said yo can hold up to 1 year then you can choose following coins BTC, Ethereum, LTC, Monero, NEO and you can also invest in ICON, EOS, ADA, RIPPLE, ZILLIQA, IOST. also if you want to get dividends from the beginning then buy Kucoin Shares (KCS), this will give you some portion of coins listed on kucoin in the form of dividends.

Buying ICON coins for $50,000 is alot of money. Why you need to put all your grandma's money on that ICON? In which you can diversify into a good coins like BTC, ETH, LTC and then put only 20% icon.

The 50k USD I have are for ALL IN are "sacrificable" money, meaning I can afford the loose with no impact on my current living. Also I woudn't want to touch my crypto portfolio to buy a house, but at least 2-3 years HODL for now and live with passive incomes for many years to come.

I "just" need a 10X for reaching 500k USD and buying a house, thats why I thought ICX was the ideal candidate as I can easily see it to 30-50 USD later this year.

So no more diversified portfolio but just all in please and don't care about the risk, just not shitcoins.

I would invest in NEO, ETH and Ripple. I think. that these coins can bring quick profits. These are strong and promising projects. I believe in the growth of these coins.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

It is too risky.  Crypto is super risky, but putting all eggs in one basket is mindless. Now is good entry point for each coin from top 100 crypto.  Invest most part in stable one and something like 20% in one risky, but potential coin

I suggest you invest into credits(cs) this coin has a big potential to be the next ethereum. Alpha launch test made a 400k tps which is good, and by next week beta release .

I also like credits lately this coin were drops from previous price and had an increase in price and volume. Yes I notice this coin that has a potential in the market and also they had an update on their platform. Eth has a much better chance to 10x instead of icon.  Eth is the most used platform by far and is only gaining more users everyday.  Eth to 5k  may even happen at the end of this year.

Credits seems good coin and I folloe its track since day 1 since I bought some of it and earn with buying at dumping rate and know the credits had a strong stand. And provably it could even pump for more since the supporters of this coins had good specualation for more further years of its existence.

I would suggest you to spend $1k on different coins. Then you'll have 50 different coins in your portfolio. That's what I will do :)

You can now take plenty of bitcoins with you and the advantage is in your hands. Remember that we've been through a big correction so this can finally be ended for the next months to come. And with your goal of holding for 1 year for sure you can earn more than 100% after that period.

Like some of the other posters suggested I think it's silly to invest all you have into 1 crypto.

But if you are going to do that I would recommend you put it into either BTC, ETH or LTC.
These are top 5 coins with huge backing and extremely liquid markets.

You may not see the same gains as you would with some of the smaller cryptos but the risk is much smaller also.

If you want to make large gains I would invest smaller amounts into a few different promising up and coming coins, not put all my eggs in one basket.

The amount of 50,000 dollars can buy 30-50 altcoin and for sure you will gain more profit after few years of holding potential coin. You can try to invest to ripple, dash, ethereum , litecoin, monero, qtum, komodo and for sure once you buy this potential coin you will gain more profit. I also have thoughts like you, now with a big investment we can choose some coins that have a potentially good future, but we still have to have eth and btc con to investment because eth and btc coins can be a retaining coin if other coins are not used has a price increase. so choose a good coin and potentially.

Don't risk such an amount on altcoins during a bear market, if you really want to invest that much in to crypto, put it all on BTC and wait for times to change, also focus on the buy in price, I wouldn't be buying it at $9k right now when we're dropping under $8k during the dips.

It's a really good money to invest $ 50,000. If I were to invest so much money, I would not listen to the advice on the forum. After finishing the money for several different coins, it helped invest. Buy some btc, ether, ven, neo and some different coins to make surprise :)

My most important investment at the moment is Credits (CS). At current prices, I would not take of course. But on the drawdown would buy. I bought when merged bounty members). Buy on ICO, unfortunately did not have time.

If you only want to put it for one year. You better did not put your money now untill we are sure this year is not like 2014 bearish year. If it is confirmed 2014 multi year bearish the whole crypto will goes down and you can not cash your money out when it is in the full bearish mode on year latter. It is good to hold your fiat and buy when it is dip.

It is a big amount of money to be put in just a single investment. That kind of move is really risky. There are lots of good coina out there that has good potential and now is the right time to go shopping for good coins since the market is all red. Nwver put all your eggs in one basket, it is recommended to diversify your investment since you are investing a huge amount of money, and that money is from your dead granny, so take a good care of it.

Which all coin you have invested and how many coins do you own. If you do now own btc then you can buy and keep it for a year and then if the rise is like 2017 then you would be making multiple times during this period only with btc.

ICON would always be one of the good coins that should be invested or included in your portfolio, it is consider as a good investment to be add on because of
1) Nature of Project
2) Koreans xd
3) Hype (It has tons of hype on it, i mean connecting university, healthcare, banks and etc together is something big)

That's a big amount to make an investment. I could suggest to diversify the investment on different altcoins, bitcoin and upon ico's. So, it is possible to withstand all sort of market scenario. If the entire amount is invested upon a particular asset if something takes place in the negative manner than predicted loss will be big.

In my personal opinion, I think we should invest in altcoin or bitcoin as the best. ICO is a smart choice but the risk is quite high. We need to analyze it carefully before investing in them and there are currently too many fraudulent projects. Many have condemned this. Be careful when investing in them.

Extra money are great, going all in on anything isnt very wise though. Best to reinforce existing positions or open news in promising coins. ICX/ZRX/NEBL/NANO/KCS/BNB are notables (imo) missing from the above list. I dont like SiaCoin and Waves, but the rest look good to me.

i think if you want to hold an altcoins for 1 year, then choosing Ripple or Cardano is a great choice, i suggest them because i know they have the most significant rising in just last year, its value still have a great chance to rise more in this year, moreover Ripple is an altcoins that can be used in banking systems, so it can become more valueable in 1 year, cardano has the chacne to become the second ETH and replace ETH to become the best altcoins in smart contracts in the future.

I think it is too risky if investing only on one type of cryptocurrency. We recommend investing in some kind of cryptocurrency that has good potential. Of course with the allocation of the amount of investment that is adjusted to that potential. Cryptocurrency that has the best potential get the greatest allocation.

i think you should go to Las Vegas or Macau to play porket instear of investing in crypto. Investing is choosing a good portfolio with many coins with buying and selling right time. If i had this amount of money I would try to start invest in some important ICO´s and after this buy some hopefull cryptocoins like ADA , IOTA and Ripple.

Agreed. All in might seem to be a good strategy at first as a "yolo" sort of strategy, but the more you trade, the more you realize the importance of having a diversified portfolio. Otherwise, you're asking for your portfolio to go to 0.

The fact is that you can often not locate one particular coin that is going to blow up, but your chances are much better when given more options.

But if you want one coin to hold for the medium-long term, I'd go with Monero. One of the only useful altcoins that is able to be used right at this moment with a great community and active development. I have good feelings about this long term.

I think 50k should be enough to build a decent crypto portfolio starts with the top 20 coins, then another portion for more speculative penny coins.. I think it will be great idea too get in some ICO with solid and working team and MVP.

But all depends on your risk appetite and investment behavior. If you are passive investors, then pull more into top coins.

If you have given you 100% trust on this coin because you review well the background and activities of the team then go and invest on this coin. I see a huge potential on this coin because to see it belong to most reputable Altcoins then the future of this coin will be a huge success but if i was fortunate to have this $50,000 i will not invest it to just one coin but rather i will place some of it to BTC and ETH as these coins are the most promising coins for now.

Now that Ripple is cheap why not buy it now and hold it for a long time. I think  $50,000 of ripple will make you huge profits by December this as I think we are about to resume bullish trend any moments from the end of this month. We should not panic about the state of market now as there is a great probability that most of the major cryptocurrencies are going to recover soonest.

This is a solid investment amount, it all depends on your priorities. You can enter many ICO's and hope that 1-2 will shoot and give a decent increase in money. The coins should probably only be included in bitcoin.

My honest suggestion is to invest at least 70 percent of the amount in bitcoin and rest can be spend into Ethereum or Litecoin. I prefer diversification over putting all the eggs in same basket. Moreover, it will help in understanding the differences among coins and a person will be able to take more accurate steps in the future. Bitcoin is capable of increasing capital as no other coin can and the longer someone holds it, the bigger are the profits.

That's a huge amount of money to put in just one coin but we all have our own different way on handling our money. Although the coin you suggest is good, I would most probably suggest buying Bitcoin if you just wanted to invest in one coin with a holding time of a year only. Maybe you just want to know if how much you could profit in a year? Not sure what you are trying to achieve but, that would be the safest suggestion I could give you.

Inheriting a vast amount and putting that to some investments is a very good idea. Although i am not in favor of putting all your eggs in one basket. The most wisest thing to do is diversify. You can easily do that because your investing a huge amount. Invest in bitcoin, ethereum and maybe throw some in litecoin. That way different stupendous profits maybe at hand. It's advisable in all sort of trading to make portfolio by buying different equities or commodities. The key advantage of this investment strategy is that you can earn from at least one of your investment if not all of your investments are going up.
I recommend not to invest in one single crypto alone rather buy different cryptocurrencies that have the prospect of going up.That's the only way to get benefit from the crypto market.

Wow. This is a solid investment. I think you should buy BTC, ETH, NEO, BTH. They all stabilized at the current price and are likely to grow.      

I would buy 3-5 coins only for short-term investment:
ETH - this coin is now at the bottom, the price is very low.
ICON is a very strong project that will have pleasant events soon.
NEO - I'm confident that this coin will grow one of the first when the market turns.
ADA is a very strong and promising project.

I advise you to buy knc, a very interesting project and a strong team. he just bounced from the bottom and recovering

I would recommend choosing Bitcoin cause I am pretty sure that this is very good mid-term and long-term investment. I don`t have doubt that this year BTC might grow no less than to 50K USD for one BTC. This means that you will be able to obtain more than X5 on the investment capital. And there is even no need to send it to the exchange. Just send you BTC to a wallet, for example, blockchain.info, and forget about it for one year. I think you will be excited when decide to withdraw it in one year.

My suggestion would also be the same. Bitcoin has the brightest future among all the crypto currencies. If someone is wishing to earn real profits, he must invest if not all then major portion of his investment here. It is destined to touch 30k dollars before the start of 2019. But if diversification is the plan, then Ethereum and Litecoin come next to bitcoin. The amount of profit earned totally depend on the amount of time coins are held by investor.

That is a big amount of money to be invested in just a certain coin. You can either invest some in bitcoin and diversify your remaining investment in other coins. Cryptocurrency is risky for you to invest all-in in just a certain currency. If you are planning for a long-term hodl, you can safely invest majority of your money in bitcoin and find other good ICOs.

50K Usd is a huge amount of money I would not go all in one coin that is for certain. You picked a perfect time to enter the market and if I were you I would buy either PRL or DeepOnion. Both have super small caps and huge potential. They have already retraced nearly 80% from their ATH. Of course, do you own due diligence before investing.

What you are planning is extremely risky you are trying to put all your money in a single coin and hope for success, it's your money so you can do as you wish but if I were you I will invest in several other cryptocurrencies, you're not going to get as many profits as if you invested in a single coin but you're not going to lose everything if the coin you select goes down.

That's a huge sum amount of money and I will advice you to invest wisely cause crypto currency are volatility. However, the market is not looking now but bitcoin and promising ICO (https://www.eligma.io) are the better chance you have right now.

It is good to see that you are holding bitcoin and almost all the top altcoins but you should try to increase your number of bitcoin.You are holding good amounts of Ethereum, neo, Litecoin, Monero and waves but the number of bitcoin should have been 4 at least. My sincere suggestion is to convert all other altcoins into bitcoin or much better, try to do altcoin trading and earn profit, then buy more bitcoin but do it in the dip.

I would advise you not to look for any unpopular coins, but to turn your attention to ETH and NEO. It seems to me that their price is now very favorable for investing, and having bought them now after a while you can increase your starting capital in x2 - x4 times.

It really depends on how BTC price rises, if it is abrupt, people tend to panic and sell their alts, sending those to go down.  However, if the BTC growth is "organic" alts tend to out perform BTC specially during the initial pump.

There are opportunities there to maximize profit if you want to play it that way.

I will advice you to exclude Litecoin out of the portfolio you listed because the coin didn't have promising future and if it has the owner won't have sell all his holding.

I wouldn't risk that much on crypro though. 50k is a huge amount to invest in a single market even though the possibility of earning 10 to 20% is there. Probably half is enough to buy cheap in this bear market with almost all of the top alts facing decent profit once the market recovers or if a bull run starts

It is not advisable to go all in one coin. With a big sum of $50,000, it is better to diversify into a few coins and invest at different time. If you really want to go all in, Bitcoin will be a good choice.

I seriously believe you are not going to lose if you invest the $50,000 in the top 5 coins at coinmarketcap! However,  you have to hold those coins for a very long time before you can get good returned on your investments.  Many people that buy bitcoin in 2014 are testified on the amount of profits their makes in 2017.

It seems you already made your choice, there are many coins that I know and I think are good investments and there are others that I do not know and I do not know how they are going to perform in the future, but if you just were willing to hold for several years you could avoided all that additional risk by investing everything in bitcoin and getting 5x in the next years.

This is a horrific money, with a lot of money like this you should buy BTC, because now only this coin is the safest for you, hold for how long, you will also be more secure than holding the other altcoin

Another guy to invest $50K. I think this is not a good option. Because you don't know what will happen in this market. As the OP, he has invested all his money on March. Now you can see what has happened to your portfolio. If the market goes up again, then it will be ok. But just think if the market goes more and more down. Who knows what will happen.
