Why I personally rather choose masternodes over running a mining farm:

* Less overhead and outgoing expenses
* Miners are quickly out dated by network difficulty after 1 year
* Electricity costs do not provide substantial profit margin in real time

Seems like a great idea! Masternodes don't require the expensive hardware and electric bills like mining and you can make even more money!

Adam is correct. We do not need any access. We decided on this direction to keep the customer at ease, and eliminate any risks on our services.

Turing, In general terms- we agree with you on this. We advise the entire community to NEVER allow anyone access to your masternode wallet and/or server.

I agree on this. Which team's do you see so far that are reputable but not really known in the masternode area?

I mean you can join a masternode pool for cheaper. But again masternodes provide a brilliant way to create utility and reward as a result. The value in that perspective makes 100k look cheap. It depends what the projects will use masternodes for. If its just copying dash code with renaming then I agree that sort of money is good money chasing after bad but syscoin fixed dash bugs and innovated on the concept further with a seniority model and splitting tx fees so in that sense I find it the perfect amount.

For those new to masternodes know that your collateral coins never leave your wallet. Part of the setup process is the configuration of a remote VPN. Once done all you do is change your root password and bingo your 100% secure.

Re: part of the setup process. I believe you mean the "remote VPS" instead of VPN.
The Remote VPS is what runs the operations of mining tasks. For non-related topics: VPN is private network connection (for IP masking)

In terms of running your VPS and collateral required by your selected masternode: you are responsible to buy your own coins.  
Yes, you can buy this anywhere, and we do not even need access to it.

The plan here is to make this service, hands on, in our consultative approach.

I will elaborate why this is an important factor. There are reports coming in from coin dev communities that people are scamming others by accessing SSH to the server and being able to withdraw funds from their victim's local wallet some how. (for example by Zcoin Devs: https://zcoin.io/avoiding-getting-scammed-setting-znodes/)

This is a reminder for others to always be careful with allowing anyone access to your server's genkey or local wallet private keys

Another interesting piece of information to know about Masternodes:

Masternodes were generally created and used to perform functions normal nodes can't such as private transactions, instant transactions, and decentralized governance!

MN are the future!

I've been in crypto since mid 2013 and am a long time investor in ION (April 2016), I now run multiple ION nodes.

For me this current dip in Crypto represents an opportunity to expand my portfolio as:

a) The pricing across all crypto is low

b) The low price is thinning out the amount of scams and no chance projects.

c) If a coin doesn't support masternodes I won't touch it unless it's for short term gain i.e. LTC day trading.

The Big Big benefit of SetupMasternodes.com is once I've chosen a project/coin I won't have to waste time learning how to set up a node....... If needed I can learn HOW whilst the node is earning me money :)

Do you have or you know any masternode coins review?
As MN service we have only a few directories, where is only listed with short info about ROI and coin bio. I still have not found any quality analysis about investment in different coins. I think there is every day born new 5 mn coins with sick roi and everything looks more like an attempt to deceive people.

I checked the VPS plan of bluehost, gatorhost, fatcow and the reputable hosting companies thier plan cost $20/month and that was just the starter plan.

The earnings from the masternodes are not dependent on how many coins you have in your wallet. However, you do need to get enough of the collateral coins to start up your masternode.

I'd like to make sure I can pay the VPS as its like holding the tokens for maybe years and then at the same time earnings through it. How much masternodes can we run in one VPS account, can we run about masternodes for about 3 coins?

That's an interesting idea , once upon a time i wanted to set up Zencash masternode , It was too complicated and i got a lot of syntax and semantic errors since it needs to run on Linux and I always used Windows , I think this service could help , how about been a delegate in DPOS coins like steem ? would you help a guy to become a witness or delegate between top 101 in steem or top 100 in lisk?

We don't currently support the set up of regular nodes or representative nodes that you'd have with DPOS coins. However, we do support the set up of a ZenCash masternode if you're interested in trying it again. The masternode just needs to run on a linux VPS. The operating system on your computer shouldn't matter.

The SetupMasternodes team did a little comparison chart with all due respect to both Organizations.

We really respect the GIN team and their developments for making a coin that people can use to deploy Masternodes. The concept is great. With the exception of one down fall.

Below is an opinion of the GIN platform and the use of it as a currency to a service.

Summary:
People need to buy and own GIN to deploy Masternodes. In our opinion, you generally have to pay a premium to own a coin that just released in the sense that it may or may not hold its value. There is a chance that GIN can Sky rocket or tumble in value in either the short term or the long term. This is true with any coin, but what is unique about GIN’s platform is that you have to take double the original Masternode investment risk. You are forced not only to own the collateral coins for your Masternode, but to own GIN as well. Where as if BTC was a valid payment option, that risk radically declines because we a general idea of what 1 BTC is worth today and what it may be in the future.

In our opinion - Pegging a brand new crypto coin to use it (without stability and track record to hold value) can really cause problems on the market, and can hurt the organization on the long term.
