if touching the $ 1000 price I think it's tough.
and certainly a lot of people who will kill themselves with it.
but anything can happen in the world of crypto.

Nothing is impossible, everything could be happen, but for the price of Bitcoin will go to $1000 i think it's pretty tough, because Bitcoin have strong support.
And if it's touching $1000, i will buying so much for sure.

Bitcoin jumps and falls in price every single day. There are highs and there are lows. My best guess, would be that traders with tremendous BTC holdings are testing the support of Bitcoin for future trades, investment information and to get a better idea about what kind of market they are operating within. This recent price fall definitely has something to do with the fact that a bunch of people invested money into Bitcoin without any knowledge or genuine interest besides their desire to get rich; these people scare easily and when they jump ship they flood the market with their coin and this drives the price down.


Can you explain this a little further? I don't know if you were just pulling this randomly out of thin air or if you believe there is something valid behind it, but in any case I would beg that you clarify this point.

It definitely seems like a possbility, as it has happened in the past. The market values are just whatever someone is willing to pay against whatever someone in possession of BTC is willing to accept for it. Circulation would seem to have little to no correlation with the value of BTC, because otherwise we wouldn't experience these absurd price dips and spikes with similar volumes.

I guess I am just confused by the premise and conclusion. I wish that users would go more into detail about what they are putting forward, because this is how real conversations are had. You very well have an opportunity to teach me something new, and probably many others if you are able to back your statements up. This in itself would be impressive and probably something I would merit; I don't normally run around handing out merit tips, but it's just a side-note and hopefully some incentive for you to take me up on my suggestion(s).

I do not care about the technique described because I think a pattern like this could be made with a simple drawdown.

I dont think bitcoin will reach that price again after he almost touch 20,000$ back in december 2017. More people will surely buy bitcoins and witing at the price of 5000$ to 6000$ and also whales waiting for that chance to buy again. So bitcoin price will raise again soon.

You may be right, you may be not, no one can predict such a change in the market. But I personally think that drop to $ 1000 is a little bit too much.  :)

No one would buy into this, considering that there aren't enough explanations as to why would the price crash so hard. Drawing up lines and dots on a graph is easy and anyone can do that. However, explaining how would that illustration pan out is another. True that some investors are pulling out assets from crypto and bitcoin but that money isn't going anywhere better in the real time. Even stocks are in a bad shape, so why would they dump their money in there? $1000 is too surreal for a bear's imagination right now.

i ithink it wouldn't happen in short time, maybe it will happen if bitconi is blocked by all country in the world, nobody can use bitcoin and ICO is banned in all country, right now there are country that support bitcoin and being neutral with bitcoin, its mean that bitcoin can be more popular than know in that country

Bitcoin will reach $ 1000 in the near future. There are many adverse effects to bitcoin. Many corporations have stopped advertising bitcoin. Governments are stifling the development of bitcoin. Many people have sold off their bitcoins for fear of falling bitcoin prices. That causes the bitcoin to drop sharply.

This kind of post has been here too many times in bitcoin discussion. Drawing small circles on your chart with Fibonacci does not prove it will surely fall below to $1k. There's a strong buy wall at $6k which I think is the most attractive price for institutional buyers to bag BTC. The market is a game of probability and we must be ready with our decisions whatever happens.

I am not and I am still hoping that this thing won't occur because it will really make it hard for Bitcoin to recover. At situations like this, selling is really not a good thing to do because it might contribute to the dumps which is currently happening which at the end, would make the price of it to fall even more. Hold still and be firmed. Be patient and wait.

I dont think bitcoin will go down that mark again. A lot of people are supporting bitcoin. The minute bitcoin falls down to what we call "bottom" that's the time people will buy in huge amount. If many people will buy, the price of bitcoin will increase. So i dont think 1000 is a price its gonna come forth with.

And what makes you think so? Just pulling a random number and posting it doesn't makes it valid. I don't think Bitcoin is going to $1k this fast. It would catastrophic if Bitcoin goes there in just few months as there are people who got in with big money at price levels above $15k.

Your only considering if bitcoin will be block all over the world? In some country, it could happen but in the world is impossible. People already invest on it and like me, I'm still waiting for the adaptation of bitcoin in which people can be more interest in the platform not just we can profit from it but a way of changing our future in decentralization.

I really do not think that bitcoin will go back to as low as $1000. The market has had its support and resistance at intervals. Considering the fact that the price has not gone below $6000, i don't think it would have a drastic fall to $1000.

Most people who entered in November/December last year only joined the terrain as a result of FOMO; most of them hardly understood how the whole market operates and so they began to sell with just a little panic at low prices. Currently the price is quite steady and so it will be difficult to get back to 1K. Most people in btc right now have firmer grip. I don't think people will sell as low as 1K right now.

I think that's a very impossible thing and it could be that this graph is just an unspecified edition. prices are now declining is already an annual cycle that must be passed.

Yes I'm ready for that, what matter if that happened? Someone say the price will not same it will move fall and up. Pretty lame graph for me. It is impossible that we will goes back to $1000 because there are so many people that support bitcoin, soon will bank support it too. Is there any explanation about that graph? Everyone can play in paint and draw own graph about bitcoin. Anyone can make their own prediction price. The only accurate part of the graph is the history. Graphs cannot foresee the future.

Haha, I don't think bitcoin could reach $1,000. When the price of bitcoin fell to 7350, it stopped falling and rose. I think it's over, it's going to start to recover, and in the next two months, it's going back to $20,000. And then over $20,000 went up.

It's too far away for Bitcoin to hit $ 1000. Yes, we were always thinking that you could always see $ 5,000 to $ 6,000, but it's hard when there's so much support in front of the $ 1000 figure. I don't think it tends into $1000 USD. Because if there any possibility for this then it needs to happen in the last crisis. But bitcoin has recovered from this.

Bitcoin is a digital currency system and it's fully based on the bitcoin investors. It's rate was decreased and increased based on investors and at now rate was $7473 .I think it's not possible for the reduction to 1000$.

Regarding the March so the bitcoin has fallen again. Therefore, from a relatively low value, do not be desperate and remember for March 2017. At that time, you could buy one bitcoin even under $ 1000!

If bitcoin prices touched $ 1000 I think there will be a very fast pumping back where investors will enter the market and buy bitcoin with a lot because the price is so cheap. Everyone one is entitled to his own personal opinion and if you say bitcoin will go down to $1000 it OK and a good prediction but to be frank with you a lot of investors will kill them self's if that eventually happen, bitcoin price is very volatile and at such no one can say what will happen in the nearest future but am positive that $1k is not coming any time soon.

I don't think it will hit 1000$ this time, because what's in my mind is that it will rise up by april upto 15000$ It has a very strong support at 7500$ and I think it will break its resistant on the second week of april.

Bitcoin going $1K? I don't think so. With a lot of users and investors than the past years, I don't think that Bitcoin will ever be back to $1K. Yes it is going down but I think the lowest it will get is $5K and will not go lower than that. The main point is that no one knows.   You have people on the one hand predicting $20K, $100K and $1,, .... and then on the other hand, you have people who seem to believe it will be zero or $1000 or whatever.    And what's funny is, both sides have plenty of charts.   Charts of this charts of that, charts coming out of their rear ends.

That's quite impossible to happen and as you can see, bitcoin had touched down 6,000$ mark twice so far this quarter but it didn't really went down lower than that as it spike up again. Investors are desperately waiting for a dip that's why it went up when it reached down 6,000$.

I am excited about this one. If this happens I will withdraw all of my fiat and buy bitcoin. I should be able to buy at least 0.2 with my money and that will be my first investment ever. Then, I will hold my bitcoin until the month of december when the bitcoin reaches its peak price. We can never know for certain if bitcoin will reach such low value although, it is pretty much possible considering the fact that bitcoin value has been decreasing over the last months. However, if bigcoin will continuously go down and will even reach $1k, then i would happily accept this challenge and take advantage of its low value and purchase some because i firmly believe that its value will rise soon.

It is possible to drop under the 3000 $.

 This is cryptocurrency and we shouln't really act surprised if BTC touches 1k, is however an unwanted record that we arent looking foward to, and i think it will not happen, BTC will not lose such a huge value over such a short period of time

It's highly unlikely that any of this is going to happen. Price seems kind of stablish  the moment and I really hope it recovers spon. Moreover, similar threads which keep popping up aren't really helping, they actually cause more harm than good.

There is nothing impossible, the investors won't be ready about that. but bitcoin supply and demand are in large amount now that makes the price has minor possibility to reach $1000. but also some people will be ready and pleasure to invest.

No no it will not drop down to $1000, still the price is in the range of 7k drop in the price of bitcoin from the last 15days or so but it doesn't mean that it can reach 1k mark. This decrease in price is not permanent bitcoin will definitely pumps up hope for the best.

I don't think that it will go that low as far as the bitcoin community is concern there is so much buy support at $6k mark and I don't know the those dumping will really go lower than that. I'm hoping for a quick recovery but I know it's still unknown what should be the real scenario of this downfall.

There are still strong supports that Bitcoin needs to break before it can be down to that kind of price. But I do not think that it will.

I think it will never been happened because its too down and I know crypto currency holder will never allow that one.I would say they will never allow that because when bitcoin goes down all altcoins will followed also.

Yes, I believe the bitcoin will never go down to $ 1k. The lowest bitcoin price at the moment is $ 7k and I insist they will not be lower than $ 6k. Bitcoin falling down to $1000 means giving opportunity to people who has missed their chances to invest on bitcoin when the price was low. Keep optimistic  that the price of btc will be survive in $7000. I don't think it will be going down to $1000.

why do you think so? if the bitcoin price drops to $ 1000 it will disappoint the Bitcoin users and I do not want that to happen. You might have done studying the price of bitcoin buy I still believe that it will not go back on $1k level again. I know more good news will come this year, and one those will happen in July. Let’s be more positive this time since we will all enjoy bigger profit if bitcoin soar high again.

Well if that's how they want to look at it then let them be lol. In any investment, it's always better to be positive about your decisions and i firmly believe that bitcoin is well worth the wait. It's really early and btc has been bombarded with fud left and right but it's been here before. End of the year would likely see us hitting another all time high

I think it will not happened again because as what I observed on a graph this will be the great year of bitcoin. Bitcoin price is slowly increasing,I believe that it will range on higher value .Prices is in normal rate, just be patience as always because bitcoin will not fall because this will be our future currency.

I don´t think that btc will ever fall under $3500 - $3000 because it is not profitable for miners. The cost of mining a btc is approximately $3k - $3.5k, which means if btc price is falling under that price they do not want to sell. This results in a higher demand so btc price is going to rising again.

Well we all know that bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency is volatile , so it's unpredictable no one knows , no one will know what will be the price is , we can do is just to predict or to sit on tight and ride on the flow of the cryptocurrency.

I recently read another thread where the OP was saying the bitcoin is going back to Zero, WTF to that! Bitcoin will never go back to $1k and let me tell you the bitcoin is here to stay, regardless of what you bitcoin enemies will say.   

In my opinion no one can predict what will happen, but to say a bitcoin price of $ 1000 this can not happen. I think the bitcoin price might drop to $ 5000 then it will rise again. Really is a very low price and very suitable to start investing, and just hold and wait. I believe in the future it will increase again, hopefully by the end of 2018 it will reach $ 15000.

I think that this is impossible now. Bitcoin has already shown what he is capable of. Yes, now the price is not great. But this is a minimum. By the summer everything should improve at times.

If I'd get a bitcoin for everytime someone said that 'it is impossible' for bitcoin to tank, I'd be richer than Bezos :) Anyway I think we'll see < $1000 before the end of the year. My best guess: we'll tank to just below $5000, rebound to $9000 and then dive to below $1000.

I don’t believe Bitcoin will drop back down to $1000 plainly because I think whales doesn’t want that to happen. What will happen to all of their holdings if it drops down to that amount? And what about those big investors too? They will most likely get out right away if it really does happen.

Hi there nyerok! Yes I think to those people who start several years ago when the bitcoin price is below 1k.  But to those people that invest a way more higher than 1k price, that is a total nightmare.
Theoretically, that could happen but in this day where there are so many traders and investor of bitcoin that can't absolutely happen. When the price of bitcoin will reach 5k or even higher, the traders will automatically buy as many as bitcoin that they could be. That will then result in a huge leap up to the price, and again when the price goes down again, those people will massively buy again. When that scenario is repeatedly done, there could be a long long month before it touches the 1k mark.

Bitcoin will not go too far up to $ 1000 if this is true then a great chance for us to hold bitcoin and all altcoins will surely die.

That could happen in your dreams but in this day, even in this year. I bet that will ever happen. I am just a single person that will absolutely start to buy when the price hit at 4k. I will use all of my extra money just to buy as many as i can when the price reach at that point. Who says? 1K$ is possible if G20 countries gonna to block access to crypto exchanges. There will be hardest months than March. Eveything is possible but creating FUD is worse because unexperienced people can take this as advice.

G20 summit (pre-summit) was in Buenos Aires on 19-20th March. And all countries supported crypto! They want not block nothing. Read the news about this meeting.

I assume the candle stick time frame is daily, my understanding is :
1. Now the candle stick is in strong support for uptrend, previously support was touched at around 7000 USD and now seems at 8000 USD.
2. During touching 7000 USD, it was formed doji star that usually as indicators for reversal from a trend even some also see it as unsure.
3. The resistance 1 will be at 12.000 USD during reversal, it can be return to down or continue uptrend if the resistance 1 is broken.
4. There is possibility also the price continue its downtrend but will be touched at around 5000 USD.

My suggestion: If price continue its downtrend, we should leave the market at 7000 USD and see at 5000 USD whether broken or reverse. If reversing, get ready to buy.

As much as bitcoin is going down as reflected on the image, i am much convinced that bitcoin will have an uptrend following these days downfall of its market price. That's how cryptos work, it only goes down or rise up so everyone can have their own choice.

I also do believe that there will be a bounce back and this is not going to stay forever. It may be down for today and for the next weeks or even months but it is not going to stay there forever. I cannot see $1,000 as much as maybe $2,500 - $3,000 range. It might have a quick wick below these numbers, but I think we would be hard pressed to actually reach $1,000 again.

The reason I say this is from looking at past BTC bubble cycles, where it hits a new ATH only to drop just slightly above where it started out from. Since we have been in $1,000 territory twice in late 2016 early 2017 and also back in 2013, I think that price would act as a hard bottom.

I was here when price was struggling to get to 1000 dollars, there is nothing bad about it, that were the times when payouts in campaigns and generally earning bitcoins was much easier. Even if the bitcoin is going to hit $1000,people need to be ready because the basic rule is never invest more than afford to lose if you did then it was your mistake so you can't blame anyone for your loss.

I think it is hard to see the price increase in a short-time because if we see the chart, the downtrend will continue and maybe it's attracted more people to become panic. but I hope that the price is not down to $5k and only stay at $6k-$7k for a while so we can see the altcoin is started to moves up. but bitcoin price could be down for more and it's possible to see this and only the times will answer so we could prepare for the bad things that might happen later.

If the king will be residing at 1000 dollars, what will happen to altcoins? Most will then disappear or their value will go in negative which is impossible.

Yeah! It would be really harsh and lethal for altcoins if the bitcoin gets lower in values as much as 1000 dollars. Bitcoin is the father of these virtual currencies and this is why it cannot be at such lower price. We should think really very logically about altcoins because they are not obviously going to leave the crypto market forever because some of them are enjoying great support and providing nice profits.

I assume that chart was supposed to have a detailed explanation that supports the analysis. It could happen anytime that Bitcoin may suffer and fall down to $1000, because if you look around the news from the internet and TV, regulations  from different countries are slowly killing Bitcoin, but because of its strong popular demand Bitcoin stand still.

The idea seems to be plausible but remember there will be always support and it is clearly seen on $6000 range to $7000. The price has been really slow in Q1-Q2. Bitcoins trading market do exhibit fluctuations but it does not mean that values will dump too badly.

I think if this really happens maybe we are going to see what is happening in the 2012-2013 ago while bitcoin price in that year is back to the bottom and many people are disappointed. I remember that in that year, bitcoin price is down and stays for a long time and not makes a good move to go up. the lowest that I see for the price are in the level $2xx per 1 bitcoin and after that the price starts moving up and with the support from all people, the price can increase higher in the last year.

There are some predictions that are always going to be unreasonable. No matter how volatile this market is, we cannot just expect the market to start dropping that low in a very huge way to as low as $1000 which is even a value that is simply unrealistic.

I really want to believe we have already experienced the bottom this year, but I still also have the mind that anything can still happen, but not expecting the worst to that extent. Since this is speculation, I say BTC is not going to 1k.

The last 3 years, the low for BTC has been in January 3 times and this year will be on Feb 6th.  You can just say based on history, the low for BTC is in the 1st quarter of the year.

The Feb 6th low was not pierced during the last downtrend so technically, it is producing higher lows.  It has not produced higher highs unless it takes out the last high of 11.6k or so.

Don't spread FUD, bitcoin is back on the track and this time with more power and community support. Your prediction on graph is illogical without any proper fact or statement, can you elaborate the reason?

I doubt if it will, a lot of people will surely buy back once it becomes too affordable. Of course, a lot of people wants to have a big chunk of bitcoin, that is why a lot will be buying once it dips by a thousand or two. A lot of people already knew about bitcoin and a lot trust it, such dip is a little not possible because there are more people who are into crypto currency today, compared to the market when it first started.

There is not a reason to be ready for that because it is not going to happen, so what is the point of preparing for something that is impossible? Bitcoin was worth more than 1000 and that was before segwit was activated, now that segwit is live there is not a reason to go back to that price, in fact I thought that 6000 was a price that was too low as well, and I think that the current price is closer to the real value of bitcoin.

I'm sure people are very optimistic and they totally wanting for more rather than of losing their holdings. Negative thought have never makes some helps for the improvement of crypto instead it only help for becoming down. Definitely, investors won't make bitcoin price fall to much as they can manage to boost it going up. Looking the market price today,  it looks like bitcoins price are almost touching into $10k which a huge indication that it getting on the bull run.

Another FUD that went so wrong thinking that bitcoin had a rough and tough road the last three months resulting it to drop for 6,000$ three times before it went up this time almost reaching the 10,000$ mark.
