And so I present:

o_e_l_e_o’s Ultimate guide to ranking up as fast as possible with minimum effort.

The stats we will be using to rank up are activity (same as before), imagination (number of images posted), virtue (see quote from theymos below), and coins (how many different coins you have invested in). This guide does not require any merit, smerit, fmerit, politeness OR karma, so you can continue to shitpost, spam and scam and still rank up!


Week 1 (Newbie to Junior):

Make a single post with a single picture and being kind to one person to earn exactly one activity, one imagination and one virtue. Invest in one coin only. Your grid will look like this:

Week 2 (Junior to Member):

Repeat the above post. Buy another coin. Your grid will look like this:

Week 3 (Member to Full):

Little more complex now. Make one more post, again displying one virtue, but this time with three pictures.

Week 4 (Full to Senior):

One more post this week. This one needs five pictures and four virtue (I suggest being diligently and humbly patient and kind to a fellow user).

Week 5 (Senior to Hero):

Make three posts with a combined total of one picture.

Week 6 (Hero to Legendary):

One more post with one picture.

By this point you will be less than 2 months on Bitcointalk, have made 9 posts in total, and be a global moderator or better. You are welcome!

Coming from a person with 1 Karma point, I wouldn't believe this shit.
If a person with 0 karma, 100 pts of politeness can confirm this, it would be great.

By the way, I've done my research on how the new fMerit works!
Every 100 fMerit you got is equivalent to 1% chance that Merit sources will +merit your posts (even one-liners can be merited).
You can get more fmerit by removing your current signature and replacing it with "I am a good member of Bitcointalk"
using the formula:

Very effective post, well structured, detailed and effective.

I followed this guide for just two hours, and I have ranked up to Full Member! Can you believe I was just a newbie earlier today? This new system makes it much easier to rank up. To all other Newbies, there is hope!

- Imagine a system where the activity was determined by the velocity of your blood flow, only those with the highest rates (e.g. Athletes and dwarfs) would be able to climb to the next levels.

LOL I just love reading some people's reactions regarding these april fool's joke that people are posting today, some people are just way too gullible  :D :D :D. I just couldn't stop laughing reading at some of the replies LOL. Today's been a pretty fun day in the forum, finally a day where the meta thread isn't full of negative vibes.

Yea I kinda like how the Meta section is today full of jokes and positive vibes. Yea and some peoples reactions are hilarious, to be honest, I was reading some other threads relating to this virtue, karma and ranking up joke which was more of a joke and loved to see the reactions of some people xD, some people even are believing it. My friend gave me the link to this thread and he actually believed this thread to be 100% legit xD.

I think the rank update is on Tuesday. Looks like there are some exclusions to this rule if:

1) You include at least 10 "Dear Sir" in your posts. Better is you end the posts with ".thank you"

2) You post at least 10 memes in an hour.

3) You buy at least 27 coins in a day.

If you cannot do any of these, just make a single humorous post on 1st April (Year does not matter). This is why you ranked up.

You're right.I actually tried doing the math myself and it does make you a legendary member in less than a month.If anyone is interested in my statistical analysis (based on theymos md5hash'o graphic forumla )I came up with this info-graph

I don't understand how you could follow this procedure and rank up from newbie to full member so fast. Look at me. I already was full member, I have followed your strategy and as a result I have ranked down to Newbie. I then realized this was caused by a negative Virtue value caused by an accidental reverse entanglement with Lauda, who/which as we now know is a key factor in the value of Virtue of everyone on the forum. Luckily, by the simple act of deleting all what I had done I could reacquire my full member rank. So now I'm the only person in the forum to be very very happy to have exactly the same rank as before the reforming of the merit system.
