What's power usage? What's chips are used in it?

Can you paste cgminer results from p2pool? I would like to see it's is designed properly and it's stopping on LP/work restart signal as it should.

Price lowered with exchange rate. These are BFL chips. Haven't tried p2pool with them. ~180 watts should be the average, although I haven't tested with a killa-watt.

Local p2pool node for about an hour.

Just set it up so I haven't verified the whole p2pool chain yet, not sure if that matters...

hmm, the numbers don't add up with your HW errors.  are those just not even submitted to the pool?

i would like to see it on an existing p2pool node, lenny's is fine

if the latency is too high there, you could try nogleg.net or zevus.nogleg.com and I'd give you any BTC back if it actually did take a fee, those are in US rather than Europe

Firmware on the Chilis enables engines that BFL would not. This produces a higher hashrate but more HW errors. I'll hit someone else's node tonight.

What is special about the sunzi? It cast 6x the price, and basically you just get a few hex spacers and a drilled shett of stainless steel for mounting? any psu included?

I will offer 1BTC for a single chili, plus the shipping to Toronto, Ontario

There is no minimum purchase amount. You can buy just one chili for 1.15 BTC + shipping or you can buy them in groups of 6 on a board, "Sunzi Miners", with a free PSU included.

What you are missing is out, but only if you don't take advantage of the offer. A 200gh/s miner will likely generate 8-12 BTC ($8-12k at today's price) over the next 3 months. Prices are in BTC as the unit will mine a relative amount of BTC, regardless of the value of BTC.

I bought two of these Sunzi racks from CrazyGuy. Transaction was smooth as silk.

I brought them home and plugged them into a PC thats got other miners on it and it found the devices to be Bitforce SHA256's, downloaded its own drivers and all was well. Started BFGminer and all was working as noted. I wasnt getting quite 200gh's at first but it came around after a while.

I did end up flashing them to the latest firmware version and they seemed to speed up a bit.

This is the wattage usage from one rack.

Heres the rack.

Couple of screenshots of BFGminer

FWIW I second guessed this purchase after seeing that email from KNC. But, I thought that I could save a few BTC now and hope to get the miner from KNC 2nd quarter next year or spend the BTC NOW and get the hashing power NOW.

I'm very happy with my decision to buy now. I will be buying more from CrazyGuy for sure!!

Matt

Is this some type of bad joke? He offerent .15 less btc than what they cost... how is that equal to 5 asic chips? I wouldnt send money to someone who doesnt understand customer service honestly...

Settle down now.. Check the date in your quote.

Does this mean that the miners will not last as long?

No HW errors just means a particular engine is less reliable in spitting accurate results.... but such errors should not degrade the actual physical chip.

Had a chance to put the two Sunzi's I bought into the retired sound rack that I plan on using....

I know that BE's aren't worth a hill o' beans these days but I figure any more hash power the better. What else would I do with em? eBay? LOL!

Getting close to 450gh's with this rig.... Too bad that WinBox gets pissed if it has to reset. WTH???

Very nice setup, time to move to Linux!

Yeah, working on it. I need to figure out two things...

#1. How to make BFGMiner start at bootup on its own.
#2. Install VNC or some other remote control software so I can get into it from another computer.

I already have the linux (Ubuntu) machine up and running. Just need to figure out those two things above and I'm all set.

And wouldn't you know it Windows installed new updates this morning (3AM) and the computer was hung in a reset loop. Stupid machine.

My sunzi arrived today, well half of it... waiting on the metal display piece still =P .. damn usps!

Got them all put together and working great at work...
Avg hashrate is 203GH pool side .. and seeing only bout 5.5% HW errors .. after couple hours!
Temps are between 55-60C as read by bfgminer .. and this is a reasonably warm room... cant wait to see what it does in my place which is ambient of 47F =P
These things rock!

quick update here, got the rig home(still waiting on 2nd shipment for the display piece...rofl) anyways, its set up in the cold room.
Its hashing @ 225GH avg, consumes around 1280w @ wall - HW 7%
Each chili is doing between 35-39GH/s - temps in the 50-60C's

Its fucking beautiful!

Come on now General, I know you didn't make 2.9 BTC in the last week. Now drop and give me 50.

In all seriousness, this is still a great deal. I wish I bought a pre-order Jupiter a few months ago and I wish I bought a few thousand bitcoins when they were worth a few pennies. You can't invest in the past, but you can still invest in the future.

I'm with GenTarkin on this one. I understand what you're saying, based on the last 90 days.. however, I don't expect the price to jump the same 10x factor again any time soon.

200GH is roughly 0.09 btc/day at today's diff. Assuming you get the whole month of December without any adjustments, that's still only 1.82 btc. Way too much hardware is dropping in the next 60 days to make 6 BTC a good price.. that's roughly $28/GH.. (Which is still WAY better than the $100/GH people are paying for USB sticks, I'll give you that)

Value of Bitcoin doesn't make a difference. If Bitcoin is worth $10,000 next month, you still paid 6.6 BTC for a Sunzi which would get you
.1107 BTC per 24 hours at today's difficulty
.0914 per 24 hours at 1.1 Billion
.0745 per 24 hours at 1.35 Billion

Now I'm not saying that those are the next 2 difficulties, I have no idea how many companies are going to hit their targets. That would put you at half payoff in a little over a month though.

yeah I probably didnt, that was counting my other ASICs but.... this was simply an offer =) meeting in the middle is fair.
Heres a diff projection which I used based on being able to guestimat a shelf... and I can tell you 6.9btc last week including before the holiday was very fair. 6.6btc 10days later after a 25% diff increase ... is not remotely close to fair. Thats a 5% decrease in price on something that became 25% less valueable =P

Heres a hopefull projection on it:
http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=908350862.43702&dcosts=6600&diff_mincrease=30&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=200000&diff_mincreasedecrease=5&btcusd=1000&dpowcon=0&btcusd_mincrease=1&pcost=0.11&calcweeks=32&dleadtime=0&action=calc#

That's prob a bit more accurate than mining.genesisblock, which assumes never ending exponential growth. I'm still not sure we'll be adding a billion difficulty per month per jump by May but I'd say that's a worst case. In that event, 6 months break even is nothing to scoff at.

Here's a link for some of you folks looking for more traditional investments. ;) "Zions Direct" is offering a 1% 6 month CD with $10k minimum deposit.

hehe nice one ... but traditional investment margins dont exactly apply to bitcoin mining ...
Diff will definitely be near what you stated, if not way before then, given that cointerra has a working prototype now and hashfast is right around the corner.. diff will skyrocket soon enough.
Im willin to bet u and/or who ur selling these for are getting all the profit you can now and reinvisting to up and coming hardware. Im just sayin it would be nice to see a more fair price tag on these.
I might be willin to do like 5btc... =P
But, Im sure there will be others sucking them up at the prices you are wanting.

4.25 is more reasonable as that is what the Antminer S1 is selling for at this time.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364342.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364342.0) The antminer has the same hash rate as 6 chilis, takes up less space and uses less power, and are currently shipping.

I'd be in for one Sunzi @ 4.25-4.5. The antminer doesn't come with a power supply.

the antminer is an awesome system, i own two. and if 4.25BTC is 'fair' for that (I think 3.75BTC would be ideal), then a sunzi cannot be worth more than 4.00BTC considering it draws about 2x the wattage, even if it comes with a PSU

You are calculating for a decreasing diff?  With 4-6 Asic companies trying to ship out massive amounts of hashing power in the next 1-24months?

Yeah, because 30% increase infinitely can only be sustained so long, at some point there will be a "shelf" for a while. And while it may seem like a "massive" amount of hashrate... each 30% increase the required hashrate increase is a substantially larger amount of hashrate required to meet 30%
In other words, in time 1TH/2TH machines wont even put a dent in diff...

This is another way to look at it ..

That's a very interesting way to look at it.   Also since we know there are fabrication limits and power to ghash limits the ability to create infinitely faster and more efficient miners has real limits which could cause diff decreases as old equipment is removed.

As CrazyGuy pointed out the usd/btc ratio is completely irrelevant to purchasing gear with BTC:

As CrazyGuy pointed out the usd/btc ratio is completely irrelevant to purchasing gear with BTC:

I dont really pay attention to the USD / btc price ratio... I just make sure the price per btc & the USD I enter ... equals the amount of BTC Im paying, so I pick easy numbers like $1000/btc  ... that way makes entering 6.6btc easy, cuz then its just $6600 =)    ...
The only time I would pay attention to the btc price is if Im buying something in fiat.
ha, I guess the same thing is achieved when u put price @ 1$ =P .. didnt even think of that before... .. its all the same to me anyways =)

ha, I didnt previously realize the btc price / jump increase of 1% was affecting ROI window.... bleh, now I do...shit now it looks even uglier when u put "no change" =P

Do note, this doesnt account for unnannounced products coming later next year and hashrate the year after that... expect more so adjust the curve accordingly ... and in a couple years another block reward halving is coming. So... many unknowns past current announced hashrate projection. So, I suspect the next 6 months are reflected well in this calc, but beyond that its a crapshoot.
