I have the same question becuase i hold and value dump.

First you see first if there is an exchange available for the token.
Second look at the token price whether it is feasible or not for sale.
I suggest to hold it for a while and sell for two months ahead the price is definitely bigger.

It is based on the project,if it is a good project then you can hold it in longer term sure it will give us good returns but many bounty hunters will sell their tokens soon after they listed on exchanges but it is not good for that project also so just hold your token and get more price.

You just see the market, and play your analytics. How do you get the token potential, whether pump or dump? But in other cases, each token has the service benefits that the company will provide. If you have no interest in using the service, you should not take too long to hold the token and better exchange it for a more general coin

In my opinion it dependa on what situation that you are in right now. For instance do you need the money right now? Then by all means sell it because you need they money. You can hold the half of the token while the other half put on scalping.
HODL on the 50 percent and make sure you will sell it at the project target price or more.
The other 50 percent will be on the market, sell it quickly as many hunters will sell immediately for the quick profit.
then once the price fall 30% or more you better buyback and wait for the rise again.

Actually lot of people are in same boat like you. They are confusing between, should they sell their token immediately or HODL it for better rates? From my experience, i have missed some good chance to multiply my money 3 - 8x times higher because i have sold my token too early and regret in the end.

Its depending with each token dude, some tokens have good potential and some value, then selling them with the lowest rate is really worthless. Other tokens haven't such value or potential, and then you can sell them whenever their price go up. For this you need to study the project itself and distingue if the token is promising or not.

Of course it depends of project and coins and your free time. I am at the moment holder. Wait for market to grow.
Tokens after ICO usually or down -50%, or +200% for a first hours and after get down.
With bounty is more complicated, usually when you receive bounty reward, prices already down..
So, it is really up to you what to do and when.  :P

Tokens came from bounty will a little bit late since investors would really be the main focus when it comes to distribution which means they do have the main opportunity on selling out first when tokens is already being listed into an exchange aiming for an easy profits for its investors but thats not always the case since even investors wont assure themselves that they would able to make profits anytime because not all coins would end up happily ever after  ;)

Sell it immediately as long as it goes live within a exchange you dont even know its your last time to be able to sell those coins. Cause it will take months before it pumps.

Now is not the best time to sell. The market fell. I would have waited for a higher price. But if they are shitcoins, then do not wait until they fall even lower.

I assumed that all bounty hunters read or do a research first before joining a campaign or some maybe not. Well, as a bounty hunter if you think that it is worth the hold, hold it! Because for sure if the project has a great future based on their concept it will go up. But based on my experience once I receive my bounty I immediately release it if it is near the ATH as we all know that tokens will be distributed to the investors first but I also have some that is still on hold because I made some research about it and probably just sleeping for now (I will not mention the coin  ;D)

I think if holding ICO tokens (which you already get) too long will be too risky. I am afraid that later the token will be of no value. You should monitor the development of tokens on the market, if the progress is good, then continue. If not, sell and buy another coin as an investment.

I think holding the coin will give good profit because i have experienced it, it is giving more value if you hold them for certain period of time. As company progress, the price will start increasing in the market.

Everything depends on the seriousness of the project, its degree of visibility, the development team, etc. Some projects go nowhere, others take a long time to have some visibility. Finally, a few rare projects make x 10 in a few weeks. By experience, I would say that I have always earned more by keeping my tokens rather than selling too early.

I think before answering your question, we need to know how much in-depth research have you done on the ICO before buying OR you just bought it through some hear say rumors about them going to the moon.

My criteria of a good ICO is that:
1. It must be an existing business for a few years with a good model, and have even bigger feasible plans for the reason of doing an ICO.
2. Team composition and advisors are next that I look at, idea can be great but without a strong team, it wouldn't give me sufficient confidence that their plans can be executed without delays, that is if it's ever executed.
3. Next thing would be how unique their business plans are, I realised many ICOs are basically copying ideas from existing businesses, tweek abit and calling it theirs, hence it comes back to the point of why it must be a running business for at least a couple of years.

It depends on you for example if you really need money sell it but if you don't need urgent fund wait and keep your coins for the price to go up before selling because most of the coins have good prospects

Sell it because that is the biggest lesson I've earn in bounties. I got it from airdrop and I was still not satisfied on it's price when it is going up and then bear market enters and now I've lost that opportunity and profit.

It depends on the token, the project behind it and the need for liquidity. Try to understand the project that is backing the token you have! If the token has a use and you might need it in the short future keep it.

Selling of token at immediately distribution is not good. Most of the token price goes down after the distribution but if you can hold for a months,two to three months the price with go up to unexpected task

Before you join into a signature campaign or a bounty campaign, you should do a little bit of research so you can identify if the campaign or the project is worth it for holding in long term basis because if it is really a good project then i suggest for you to just hold it for long term and wait for the price to reach at least above ico price and then sell.

You can determine the value of your token bought or earn by comparing the amount it was bought or rewarded to it's market value,  if you are comfortable with difference in price ; positive or negative you could sell or differ selling by holding!

It will depend if it is listed from an exchange. Sometimes i sell it if it has the market value and great price. It all depends on what the situation it has to be. If it is realy in need i need to let it go even if its is not in good price at all.

I never hold for long. As soon as I get coins, I sell them .  I studied that from cartaxi tokens. I have some cartaxi tokens with me . And now its value is terrible.

I don't know at the moment you got the answer yet or not. It's not the same all the time cause each time you choose a bounty campaign, you'll get a different token with different potential and different project behind so depend on potential, project behind then you can decide to sell immediately or not :).

I think depend on the token you received , read whitepaper, roadmap of the token you got, and will be listed on a big market or not .
I have  a bad experience , 3 month ago i sell 6k token from airdrop the value is 200 $, and if i hold the token , i can got 1200 $ .
Patience is needed when you got the token.

I suggest, sell it immediately before it dumps. Whether you got it through a bounty program or an airdrop or you've purchased it during ICO, with the current situation of the market now, its price will surely fall. Now, if the token has great future, you can rebuy at lower price what you have sold at higher price.  Well, at least, you have received your profit already and you still have the chance to get more of it. And if it's not worth keeping, then you have ensured yourself against losses, whether be it realistic or unrealistic.

Even the big projects are crash in price when the bitcoin value goes cheap. When the time after bitcoin value recovered even that time also there is no big bump in the market. Hence I suggest you to have the selling idea when the moment coin listed on the exchange.

keep calm bro. first when you got your coins you need to hold them. because most of the coins are down at the first when listed in exchange. but it will be raise again about 3 - 6 month. just be patient and keep holding.

When ever you recieve your token after participating in bounty just keep calm with your token don't sell off immediately you might sell it and found out it have gone up upto x10 times just hodl your token for some period of time.

After my own observation, a received token(from a bounty) fall down dramatically at start, after it recovers little by little, you should wait for the right time and sell it when the price satisfies you. In this market conditions we wont see huge rises any time soon.

I think that if you participate in any AirDrop program, you get the Tokens of that project, you should keep them. I remember MVL. It's been low for quite a while. then there was a pump. then dump. the next time I noticed that's it's pumping and reached 300gwei, I immediately sold my tokens. Only to be surprised the next day it has reached to almost 1500gwei. Until this time it's still at 800gwei. That's still higher that what I sold my tokens for.

Make your own due diligence in choosing a project so you can get good coins with good value and is worthy to keep, hodl or even sell in time you need it. Due to market fall all are affected and also with our bounty rewards was decreasing, even if that bounty reward is listed in exchange it still below on its ICO price so we don't like to sell it if its not really necessary, we continue to hold until such time if it increase its market value.

It depends on the market and depends on your need of money If the value of the coin is quite good you can sell it even you can hold it as well for long term to get good profit. The best judge of the coin is you yourself. But I believe if the project dev is active. One should hold their coins to reap the maximum profit rather than selling immediately and I never sell immediately I always wait for the right time.

You should sell if you have good price. If token price is too low, much lower than its initial price, you should hold and wait for good news to boost token price. Owner of the project will find ways to boost their token price after ICO. You should not be worry if token price is too low when you receive it.

If you don't even think about this issue then I suggest you not invest in ICO. In fact, how do you operate to follow the changes in the market has been judged by the marketability of the project itself. Some black horses may make you rich in a year or two.

For me, it depend on the nature of the project. when I see that the project will be a promising and generally more acceptable project in the future, I may sell and buy back the token when the price is cheap. I have an altcoin that doesn't register in exchange, this is disappointing in waiting. so you also have to wait until your token is registered in several exchanges.

From my experience and what is happening in the market once a token is listed the price must head downwards.  If you have a listed token sell it as soon as you can and keep the fund in Ether or BTC and wait for the bounty hunters to kill the price then you can use the fund and more of the same token at a reduced price even more than what you have before. Then you wait for the price correction and sell to be in more profit.

Earning a steady income out of bounty campaigns is impossible and anyone thinking about doing something like that should be discouraged to even try it because it could happen what we are seeing right now, in which the market of the icos is very weak, no one is investing in it and the coins are going down immediately after they are released in the market.

The time i receive the token, i just monitor the prices in the exchange market, if its good to sell then i do, but it depends on the token we are holding, if its a good project, i would definitely hold half the portion of my token, i bet all of the participants have the same strategy as well, they hold some portion of the token to their MEW wallets, and as long as its a good project, it takes some months to year to build the project, also it takes months to hold the token as well.

You must study the project for which you received the tokens. If tokens are cheap, it’s better not to sell them. If the project is good, then tokens will rise in price in the future.

Don't dump your token immediately because the price at that time it too far from the ICO price. Wait for the project realization or hitting some milestone on the roadmap as the project will release their product this will start to rise the token price. It depends on it's value of token, if you're contented of it's value then you can sell it immediately and if not must try to hodl for a couple of months until it goes to higher prices. We have different styles of strategies so before it not ends to regrets make sure to plan for the better.

Is the token listed on a great exchange?
The value is good to trade? will the amount of your total token give you a decent earning?
What is the project of the token and the team is good?
Does the project has great potential to climb up in the market?
think of those questions before selling or holding!

If any body recieve bounty reward or buy from any ico token sale then intelligency say that token must sell at the time of listed on any exchange because mostly coin come back or down to the low level price. But ico project is strong and you have a patience then wait for hike in the price of that holding coins because this is market and any thing can happen here good or bad.

In this bear market, it's really hard for an new project can grow up. Keeping the tokens is too risky. I will sell it immediately if it's worth to sell. And then I will buy another coin that in top 20.

it's all up to you, you need money or not, but usually people will sell tokens when the price is high. if the token you get still has a low price, it's better to hold it first, wait until the price rises. but if when you get a token and the price is already high, there's no harm in selling it, you can use for trading capital again.

Your advice does make sense but it also work in vice versa way because we can't use this current market status to judge the future profit of the new project and what will determine selling of the token/coin is the level of the project utility and community support. But the holder/owner is in need of some fund for emergency or more favourable investment he can choose to sell it.

If you recieved recently a token, don't sell it for now because you will regret it if the price of that coin rise. Most of the time, if you just received a token, its price in the market is very low at first so you need to look for the time when your coin has greater value plus the price of the Eth or bitcoin is high(even not too high but not too low like today). It's a case to case basis, there were a times that people immediately sell because of their needs and some traders sell fast because they have seen a profit and wants to move out and get into the next big thing, and some hold their coin for a long-term profit.

I am in line with your opinion. Indeed as an investor we have to sell these coins when the price is good and see future opportunities for the coin's chances of success. Indeed as someone who is economical, we must take into account expenditure with income so that we do not experience losses. However, it would not hurt if applied also in airdrop or bounty campaigns. Well in most cases, what you do with airdrop or ICO tokens and when you do it should be determined by some factors.  Such as your analysis of the tokens potential, your finances (portfolio), market situation etc.  There is no simple answer, some tokens are at their weakest (cheapest) immediately after hitting exchange while some others will gain overtime.  Whatever the case, it is very important to DYOR about each project you are involved in, if you understand the project white paper and roadmap, you are in a better position to decide if or when to sell.   

It is a difficult choice for me when to sell my coins and when is the best time to do so. If this is a promising coin, then of course you do not need to immediately sell, watch the price of the coin, and when the price seems attractive to you, then sell. The main thing is not to be greedy. But many of my coins I didn't sell at the right time, and now the price is very low, and I don't know whether it will rise someday.

That is mostly the scenario of almost all of the tokens that hit the exchanges now. Tokens took a deep dive even with the bounties not given yet and still some people blamed the bounty hunters of making the token cheap. Even if the team would allocate 5% for bounty, still it is not enough to bring price down and they could easily buy back those tokens if they want the price stable or go up.

From my own experience, I can say that selling coins immediately after receiving them was unprofitable, many coins fell and did not grow, but some reached great heights, thus blocking the dead coins.

I am a bounty hunter and not an investor and therefore I try to follow every project and, if possible, I keep my coins if I like the project and I believe in its future.
But in the current market it is necessary to keep absolutely all the coins, no matter if they are promising or not. Because they are all at the bottom now.
