Title: Cryptocurrency exchange got bigger
Post by: Wabaman on April 12, 2018, 07:36:57 AM
I've read an article in the internet that cryptocurrency exchange is growing in number. As of now the number of exchange is already about 500 and counting. Other countries are now creating their very own exchange, does this means that cryptocurrencies is being acknowledged better now than ever before? And if it does, does having more exchange could greatly affect the prices of cryptocurrencies?

I think the number of exchange are far more than 500 now but the reputed exchanges are very few with high trading volumes but having more and more exchanhes doesn't affet the prices it can help more people to come towards bitcoin and other crypto currencies because people will have trust on crypto and they will think that they can easyly convert their coins at any time into fiat.

Many token and project are submitting their entry to be listed on exchange after their ICO, so exchange need to expand to cater this things and many people are coming and registering to avail their service, no wonder some exchange are getting bigger everyday, they need a lot bigger space also to accumulate incoming and outgoing money transaction and coins deposit and withdrawal.

The fact that the number of exchanges had increased means nothing related to mass adoption. It means that having an exchange is a business that works.
If there are a million exchanges but with a low transaction volume means that they are nearly amateurs that could even lose your money.
I see even in my country countless exchanges that are popping up every month, but they don't invest in a friendly interface, security or marketing. I think that they are easy targets for hackers.

Yeah exchanges is the most profitable business in cryptocurrecy. To think about how much money needed to be listed on the best exchanges plus the transaction fee in every successful trading. No doubt we can have many exchanges available soon as I seen many new ICO's on exchanges platform. This is a good for the crypto enthusiast or investors as we can choose from many of them. A good competition for a fair and transparent exchanges.

The fact that the number of stock exchanges is excessive is not a negative situation, but there may be bad stock exchanges among stock exchanges. If a stock market fraud, the entire crypto money market is affected negatively.

It doesn't necessarily mean that cryptocurrencies are being acknowledged in any major way. It does mean that there is money in creating a new exchange, otherwise these people wouldn't remain in business. All this means in my eyes, is that there are people extremely interested in profiting off creating a centralized exchange that is contrary to what Bitcoin was founded for. A more realistic representation of Bitcoin's "acknowledgement" would be increases in the Market Cap, or how much money in being invested into Bitcoin or mining. Even use-cases and large-scale implementations are significant. I would say all of these companies attempting to implement their own form of blockchain is very telling that they are taking cues from Bitcoin.

It is a good news but we also need to realize that the more it is being acknowledged, the more people will make a way to fool other people. Not all of these Cryptocurrency exchange are legitimate since there are only a few Cryptocurrency exchanges that are trusted. I am not saying that it is bad but I am saying as an investor and a trader that we need to be really careful.

I cannot decide that at this time cryptocurrency is well recognized or not recognized. But this is the number of new users who jump down to cryptocurrency, and the exchange is a big business to set up. In the business world, they will always make the chance to get many benefits. Newcomers just want the euphoria for the instant benefit of the world of cryptocurrency, they just heard in some social media on how to earn promising money without deep knowledge.

That is true, the price of cryptocurrency will increase as more new users come up. But there will always be a negative impact if they only know cryptocurrency simply without doing a lesson they will leave if they lose. All we know, cryptocurrency is always synonymous with a loss I mean the risk level of loss is very high. But I hope they will come to cryptocurrency with the intention to learn first and then spend the money to invest.

As far as I understand, you mean that the number or exchanges is getting bigger. I think that is means that more people are considering trading as a business opportunity, but it doesn't mean that cryptocurrencies are becoming more popular, since this would be reflected in marketcap and trading volume. Moreover, this tendency of adopting exchanges if not very good for cryptocurrencies, because it is an obstacle on the way of becoming means of payment, not assets.

there are only a few Cryptocurrency exchanges that are trusted.

I wouldn't even agree with that statement. The largest, most "trusted" exchanges are very often the exchanges that experience a large hack that they cannot recover from, resulting in the loss of all of your coins held there, or they simply disappear without explanation with the same result. There is no "trusted" exchange in my book and I would be extremely careful if you ever are forced to use one. I would suggest that there are always ways around using one of these exchanges. I just wanted to give fair warning, because there's many prominent users around these forums that would advocate heavily against any usage or interaction with exchanges. I've heard too many tales about exchange drama resulting in millions of dollars being stolen one way or another and so the increase in sheer quantity of exchanges doesn't make me particularly excited. I'd be more interested if the increase in exchanges correlated with something positive for Bitcoin.

That's basically exactly what I had said a bit earlier. It's strange that it seems like so many of the more recent adopters of Bitcoin are so readily excited to jump in on exchanges and exclusively hold their coin there. I have asked friends of mine, that got involved in Bitcoin closer to the ATH, which wallet they had chosen to use and they said to me, "Coinbase" or "Blockchain.info" and it makes my head hurt. What originally attracted me to Bitcoin was everything that the Whitepaper was talking about and the fundamental freedoms that it was offering to all of us. It seems too many people are attempting to seize the day for trading opportunities, and easy mining profits. These people have already mostly been scared away by simple volatility, but I can assure you that exchanges are going to scare away the rest of them.

An increase in the cryptocurrency exchange doesn't necessarily mean that it's getting bigger the thing is more and more people are now trying to compete against the best exchanges that's being used by everyone around the world in fact the market is growing but we cannot judge it by the growing number of exchanges since it's just people trying to get into this business because the major exchange sites are earning huge amount of profit and that's something that they all want to look up to.

Also the fact that major exchanges are facing problem and all the new ones in the market are something that most people won't trust and use so the amount of traffic it generates is not that high.

Sometimes it can also be detrimental instead of being a positive think because many of them are fraud and the newbies who don't know anything about that are often the prey to them causing a decrease in the trust overall.

I don't know how many exchanges we have right now, but yes, its growing by the numbers. The only reason is that as crypto is gaining grounds, there's a lot of money to make so obviously there are lot starting crypto currency trading platform. Even here in our country, there was news that additional 6 or 7 local exchanges are joining the picture and just waiting for the government approval. As for the price, I do think that it can affect the price because there will be more players to come in resulting in the price going up/down if more people are going to trade frequently.

Yes the CryptoCurrency exchange are increasing but doesn't necessarily mean that it's getting bigger. The more exchange site are not affect the price of CryptoCurrencies, it depends in supply and demand.

It might help in the mass adaptation. The more exchane -> more marketing with different target users -> the more people reached -> the higher demand -> the better for us.

It's only a good thing that ultimately contributes to getting cryptocurrencies and bitcoin in particular more established.

An increase in the cryptocurrency exchange doesn't necessarily mean that it's getting bigger the thing is more and more people are now trying to compete against the best exchanges

I've got half a mind to suggest that if these exchanges that were popping up were at least decentralized, then we would have more to cheer about. I wouldn't have so much fear if there were a boom in the amount of decentralized exchanges that were being established. This would suggest more to me that cryptocurrency is being acknowledged on a wider scale, because decentralization regularly means open-source. Open-source leads to further community collaboration and then things take off like wild fire in (usually) the best possible direction. This is what we see with Bitcoin for the most part, there are some hiccups in development, but for the most part we are on the right path.

I only see newer adopters getting excited about a new exchange. To me it is especially suspicious when an exchange creates their own currency *cough*, but for some reason the newer generation of crypto users are not keen to this.

I think even the old-heads could get excited about a decentralized exchange, although they've probably got themselves in a position that is sustainable already.

I think it could greatly affect the prices of these cryptocurrencies because people would know which coin is widely used or is best in supply and demand in the market, thus differentiating what coins are best in the market currently. And I think it would be a good thing to have lots of exchange sites to choose from because not all exchange sites cater all coins and tokens.

yes you are right now there are too many exchange places created but from the many it is a very tight competition and provide security and comfort when bitcoin trading and have a small trading fee is the main priority of this competition, I think binance is the best market for when this.

The number of exchangers is growing but I can not say that among them there are worthy of attention exchangers. TOP 10 most popular exchangers are the best and I do not see the point to use others. Using a new exchanger is always a risk. I think that most of them will close and eat users who at this moment will use their services will not be lucky.

I don't really like the idea of keeping your cryptocurrencies at exchanges especially when they are constantly being hacked all the time. One also run the risk of losing their money as a result of that.

There's two probable reason for these things:
[1] Liquidity is badly needed in that certain country or community where the exchanges was established.
[2] Fly-by-night exchanges that would scam newbie investors.

I'd prefer the former obviously. I just hope that DEXes would be more popular because as I see it, CEX is more popular now. Centralization is power; power corrupts. These exchanges have become the very thing that crypto is fighting.

Each country had I think 5 or more exchange site companies that working on cryptocurrencies in trading but so far I saw fewer of them are reputable mostly as of now having different issues in trading. Yes, it may have a great effect on the price of crypto price because of the more traders it means the demand will become less and I think that's the reason crypto makes expensive in the market and create a bull run.

The exchange is not big enough now, because too many people do not enter the market. So when the next time everyone comes in, you will find that the exchange is not enough. But then I am afraid I can do point-to-point transactions, only large transactions come back to the exchange.

The answer is yes, they will affect the prices greatly. This is because of increased number of investors coming from the different regions. The fact is, as soon as the number of investors grows they put up more stakes on the different coins through different exchangers and thus creates new stream of inflow for the money. This is obviously can be seen as positive surge for the coins. The exchangers are always thought to be volume driver where once the coin is listed it starts receiving huge number of investor count and thus price surely rises by some %. Its true fact.

Exchanges make more money when there's more trading activity, which necessitates more traders. Having more exchanges doesn't necessarily help that. Access to exchanges isn't what's preventing the price from rising at this point. There are enough exchanges that nobody is at a dearth for access and the biggest exchanges are already submitting themselves to regulatory oversight in a bid to increase confidence in the system.

That is a good news. More andore exchsnges means more and more people are using crypto currencies. More people using crypto currencies means more demand for it. More demand means a higher price. I just hope that this continues more and more and more and more people use crypto currency not as an investment but as money to exchange for goods and services.

not entirely that it affects the price of crypto. precisely because the greater the exchange, making the token that will launch, takes longer than before. maybe in the future, can split the exchange site, so as not too crowded. for the price issue, the most influential is supply and demands.

Yes! that can be one of the factor that we can say that crypto's are being acknowledged everywhere because of the growth in numbers of exchanges and ventures coming up to make their own exchange.

Having more than one exchange can have significant impact and makes the price different through volumes and that makes the dominance of a coin greater if there are many exchanges accepted it.

Local exchangers are now popular to be as a way to cash out crypto profits and they are expanding because of the growth of users too, this is clearly stating that there's a massive adoption.

well yeah, having so many popping exchanges out there is a good thing for both bitcoin and users, more exchangers means more options and choices for the users, this will eventually results in low cost of exchange fees and will increase users that will demand bitcoin, more demands means higher prices, surely be profitable for the traders and users.

More exchanges site it means crypto currency are improving and become popular in many places. And also it means there's a lot of people that using  crypto currency.
I kind of agree your answer guy. We all see nowadays the number of exchanges increase incredibly and yep it shows crytocurrency is going more viral in various parts of the world  and gradually people are much aware with the benefit that they can reach from cryptocurrency. However, the more exchanges created, the more complication we may face in choosing a good exchange to join. Because some exchanges can be created for scamming people to get benefit. We thus should be more careful and vigilant  before picking an exchange.

It also means that there are lots of options where to go to buy cryptocurrencies, there are exchanges that aren't being used because they  don't have any exposure and not tested by anyone yet. Some may even be scam only. Some exchanges collects data from us asking KTC too. This can be alarming when most of us are trying to be anonymous, they are gradually making a database. I'm not gonna be surprise if big exchange will acquire the smaller ones only to collect data.

I think it somehow affects the prices of the ceyptocurrencies because the demand on that exchange matters to the market. And it is actually okay if exchanges got bigger in number because that only goes to show that the supply and demand on these cryptocurrencies are growing in number too.

The more Crytocurrency exchanges I think the better, because with the addition of Crypto Exchange that means Cryptocurrency already recognized in that place. but in my opinion that affects the price of crypto coins not because of the large number of exchanges, but that affects the price is the demand and supply of Cryptocurrency coins. tp with the increase of this exchange, will certainly make us will have more options, in which market we will trade.

having more exchanges has both its advantages and disadvantages. For example in recent months many exchanges got hacked and market experienced a fall which affected all the coins, not only the stolen ones. On the other hand having more exchanges mean that more people would have the chance to invest and more liquadity of money will be possible.

Like in the time of Gold Rush, there are so many companies open to sell products to mine Gold. It seems happening as well that exchanges serves as platform in order to trade the token/coin being earn or mine. I think there is a possibility that mass adoption is soon going to happen as more exchanges being established. Let us be positive.

Of course having more  exchange could affect the prices of cryptocurrency because every echange will compete to each other just to have more demand to their exchange and the possible result the price of cryptocurrency will be better. But it is still depends on a kind of that listed on their exchage and how many demand are in this kinds of coins.

that means opening exchange is profitable and it makes many company try to build one. I believe build exchange is easier than build a bank. So i do think it might affect cryptocurrency, volume will increase and price slowly will increasing.

Yeah not only international exchanges are getting bigger but also local exchnages and I think this is the sign of good and bright future of cryptocurrency all over the world there are some investors open new exchanges to broaden and help traders to buy and sell assets. This can also be the sign of more players in the crypto space trying to get more money from the users, don't you think some of them are run by government itself?  I have the feeling like they are all up to get more information from users, they may not require KYC for now but sooner when our tokens are worth millions, they may start asking passports and drivers license or else they'd freeze our account.

It is not surprising that the number of Crypto exchanges are constantly increasing most especially those local exchanges yearly, business is business after all and the world of crypto is not an exception to that, however, it doesn't mean the quantity is increasing it will be the best beneficial factor to affect the prices of all cryptocurrency, it may do something or not at all, local exchanges for example can reach out those people who are unaware about cryptocurrency.

Prices of cryptocurrencies will be rising with wider adoption, and of course the fact that exchanges are growing in number contributes to faster adoption big time. I think there are much more exchanges in the world than that you are telling of in your post. There are more than 100 crypto exchanges in my country alone and I live in a small Eastern European country. And yes, this means that cryptocurrencies are being acknowledged widely than ever before these days. We are standing on the verge of mass adoption today.

Yes it is because of the demand on the market itself which many countries have their own exchange to be able to directly convert crypto into their currency. Even my country that can be said bitcoin still neutral and even there is still a ban, but with a high demand then the crypto exchange in the country also continues to increase.

I think other countries now create the Exchange of their own, is this means that cryptocurrency has been recognized better than ever? and if so, is to have more Exchange can greatly affect currency rates crypto? We should pick the better ones where security is priority unlike others who just created the exchange for their own greed of money.

Out of all the exchanges, just how many of them are the popular ones who are still standing up until now and gives support to those who gets a problem with their accounts.

Having a lot of exchanges does not affect the price of bitcoin in anyway at all. But I will advise you to stick to your current exchanges that you’re using instead of going for all these new exchanges, unless you just want to take the risk of being an example for others, then no prob. Why I’m saying this is because most of these new exchanges are scam, although I know that there are legit ones out there, but you still have to be very careful.

That's a lot of local exchanges. Even locals coins.ph now have its own trading platform so everything looks good in the Philippines. In a wider perspective, it only means that there's recognition that bitcoin and crpyto will really exploded in the next 5 years or so because of the continuous growth of crypto money. People now finds crypto a safe haven for their money investment wise or even grow their money doing trading. However, competition will be tough in this area, because some well known exchanges have a good head start and those planning to enter the field will have their hands full on how to get some slice on that big pie, a multi-billion dollar industry.

The rise in cryptocurrency exchanges is a good thing. But there is need to put a check on some of this exchanges so that people won't be defrauded of their hard earned investments. The rise in numerous exchanges gets to show that more people have accepted cryptocurrencies and have decided to invest in it by creating this exchanges. Also, the more the exchanges, the more options for cryptotraders, and also a possible reduction in trading fees due to competition among the various exchanges.

no effect. But trading fees will be reduced seems and customer will get more trading rewards to refer people at particular exchange

There’s is a bigger picture why it’s multiplyingin numbers and it is because of the popularity of cryptocurrency are increasing in tremendous demand..

Well the problem is that being big in number doesn't necessarily mean being good in quality. We still have a lot of exchange hacks, so this means that we have exchanges that shouldn't be operating in the first place. For example, we will hardly see institutional investors, or even retail investors, but with a lot of money, putting a lot of funds in exchanges. Probably not even on the main ones, and simply because they don't trust them enough. No point in having a lot o exchanges if there is no trust in that segment. We need less exchanges but with more security.

The problems you listed are encountered by every other trader in the crypto industry. I myself have experienced issues with prevailing cryptocurrency exchanges. That's the reason I and my team are coming up with a feature enriched cryptocurrency exchange which enhances every possible component of the trading platform. We have covered the concerns of security, user-friendliness and much more.

I am seeing new ones come every week and a lot of the ones that are coming our way are DEXES, that is decentralized exchanges as many people who can't do KYC/AML in certain countries just pick up the odd token from DEXES so they can hold for the long term. Let's see if an EFT will bring an influx of new crypto customers as well to existing exchanges.

It is true that exchanges are growing day by day because generally new users coming in the crypto industry always prefer to pay more amount to buy Bitcoin from a company or a reputed platform instead of buying from individual irrespective of his reputation. That's the reason why running an exchange is emerging as a good business opportunity, especially for altcoins. There are some people earning good amount of money from the affiliate program of exchanges as compared to that of directly selling coins to newbies.

Such kind of news gives positive vibes.
As cryptocurrencies is being acknowledged better now than ever before.
very true, and in my personal opinion.
the more crypto exchange places, the more competition among markets.
it can make bitcoin prices soaring, I do not know it's just my personal opinion
Hacking is a big problem for all exchanges. Those who try their best to strengthen their security will be the best exchange of the world. People will try to use that exchange for their transactions. When there are lots of exchanges in the market, they will compete each other and will try to give best services to its users. They will also reduce their transaction fee.

But how many of this are reliable and not just scam?as we know vulnerabilities of exchanges in what they called HACKERS is very rampant now a days, many users losses their coins just because of the Hacking issues but sounds like bery fishy, things that harder to believe if may not inside jobs

This os not a sign of crypto explorations, instead this is another issue of greediness from those criminals inside crypto

The development of the trading platform is indeed more modern and flexible than the application for its users. At the same time, the higher the chance of developing and increasing sales of electronic money, users have more ways to make money and become smarter from new projects.

Yes, cryptos are acknowledged by the nations and the number of exchanges is over 500 now but it does not affect the price of electronic money.

The market is growing stronger and extremely developed is the obvious. Just watching the daily news channels all refer to the electronic money market. Accompanied by the rumors of huge profits that people hear them are very interested. This proves that electronic money is well received and more sustainable in the future.

every year the bitcoin price always rises from the beginning of the very low price, it happens because the more people use bitcion, that's the main cause of the increasing market volume, the number of traders is more and more from the number of miners because they already feel the benefits.

I don't think it will greatly affect the prices of cryptocurrencies if it is listed in multiple cryptoexchanges but i think its liquidity does. The more volume a cryptocurrency has, the better liquidity a crypto has, the faster for you to convert it into cash and trade it at a very reasonable price.

You just need to check COINMARKETCAP on a weekly or monthly basis and you will see more and more exchanges sprouting up everywhere.

Yeah that is true, they all are exchanges which are decentralised and thus they are just based on the same source code of DEX. I guess it pity how people are applying their knowledge to create more junk out of one junk. This is diluting the crypto currency trades and making the market more volatile. The reason that one can not handle crypto volume and prices over the decentralised exchange gets it more complicated and thus projects are affected badly. Literally anyone can list any coin over there and start trading it and thats the thing which makes any coin unofficial.

I would say yes, that the revolution of cryptocurrency has been an essential factor why most of the countries acknowledge it. Not that exchanges got bigger but also the people who believe that cryptocurrency could be an alternative way to earn and even get rich.

The world is beginning to see the the great importance of cryptocurrency, as we can see, there is mass adoptions from investors when they are convinced of a profitable project. More exchanges will mean more value on the price of crypto currency on exchanges, we all understand what happens in a monopolistic market, cryptocurrency cannot afford to be monopolised, let the exchanges keep coming.

cryptocurrency exchange growing increasingly this will be better for investors because of the competitiveness of the exchange, and investors will have more choice than in transactions. But this is not to say that the crypto market is getting bigger. And the exchange can not make the crypto price rise. Increasing crypto will require a lot of factors

I work only through proven exchangers and new and promising remain in my bookmarks for the future. I'm conservative. Why change the old and proven exchange for a new one? It seems to me that the best conditions will not be there.

I think the decisive importance is not the quantity, but the quality of exchanges. The most important thing is to have loyalty to customers.

well, we know today that there are so many names of an exchange that are generated but from them is a closely competition and provides security at all and orderly location when bitcoin trading and there is a small trading fee is the first priority This competition, for me the binance is the best market and its high price rates are largely comfortable for me to use.

certainly offers an adrenaline rush. In 2017 the price of the cryptocurrency soared from less than $1,000 to nearly $20,000, then tumbled to a low of $6,647.33 over the weekend after a South Korean exchange said it was hacked. At press time on Monday it was trading at $6,768.00.The investment signals remain mixed: Google search activity on bitcoin has declined by 75 percent as the price swooned from that $20,000 high, but major Wall Street firms are making investments that show they expect cryptocurrency to remain a part of the financial landscape.

I am not sure the increasing number of crypto exchanges in the market implies that people are getting more and more interest in the crypto market. It only means that the dev team behind all exchange have gotten to know how lucrative setting up and running an exchange is. Hence the increasing number of exchanges in the crypto market. If there are more exchanges in the market it means that there are more rooms for tokens to be trades
