It's a good thing. The state is saying you are asumming a risk, but the cryptos with the lowest risk are...
This what Japan did. I think this will happen also in Europe and developed countries

In macroeconomic terms, the embrace of cryptocurrency makes sense. Japan has taken time to recover from its so-called ‘Lost Decade’ of economic stagnation. Its relatively low growth and high savings rate make cryptocurrency an attractive option. While a trailblazer in tech development, Japan and its authorities are notoriously conservative when it comes to financial innovation. The government’s forward-looking attitude to virtual currencies may in fact be a reaction to that. The use of blockchain has given Japan an opportunity to shake things up a little and push local banks into more aggressive development. At the same time, the state’s proactive approach to regulation is also a way to keep crypto trading under centralized control.

Europe will do the same in 2018-2019 i think!
I don't think so. Europe, contrary to the popular belief is not a monolith - some countries might be in totally opposed to the idea of accepting cryptocurrency.
The European Commission, the European Parliament or whoever is responsible for pulling out the strings there and creating the law is known to be manipulated by banks, wealthy elites and corporations.
It is obvious that under the circumstances they would rather try to prevent people from using free crypto and instead will try to create their own - blockchain based - but not a sovereign version of cryptocurrency.

venezuela has made rules about the regulation of crypto before Japan, even transactions by using crypto have been done.

and turkey, singapore, korea, russia and iran have planned crypto regulation, even have been done but not yet perfect.

I think in the future there will be more countries that accept crypto.

If this continues amidst stricter regulations by the Japanese Government then it is a big win for the cryptocurrency economy. In Japan majority of cryptocurrency holders are holding bitcoin since bitcoin mainstreaming in Japan is real. You can almost buy anything with bitcoin at Tokyo and possibly soon it can even reach other areas outside the city.

Yes, technology in Japan is mostly focused and prominent in consumer electronics, robotics and the automotive industry. Japan is one of the leading nations in the fields of scientific research, technology, machinery, and medical research. And now its time for Bitcoin in Japan. Hope other counties will go the same way in crypto and blockchain!

Japan has truely taken the first step in boosting its GDP and also boosting Bitcoin adoption. They've realized the potential of the technology utilized in Bitcoin and I'm glad it's been acknowledged by their Governments. I believe the few countries that have it as unregulated could be Turkey, Vietnam and probably most of the European counterparts. I am really hoping that those countries that have listed Bitcoin as illegal (Bangladesh) and possibly looking forward to limiting its use heavily (India) also try and understand the benefits it'd provide for cross-border trades and also to understand ways on legally regulating it instead of looking forward to making it illegal.

Those living in the Far East continue to keep the crypt money. Did not the beautiful things first come out of the first place? Everyone knows how rational and rational the Japanese are. Despite this, I do not understand how to keep the distance between the crypt and the crypt. Is there any other people who want to make tradition and truth as much as the Japanese? I do not think so. If there was something wrong, the Japanese would certainly not get into it.

Japan has been known to be as crypto-friendly long before and they're very technological advanced. They have been open to crypto and now that they accept bitcoin as a legal currency, they could expect for foreign investors to come in. Now, crypto businesses may open up or the retail stores in the country may choose to accept btc as payment. Let's hope that this would pave the way towards a more adoption of crypto and btc for other countries as well. Is bitcoin the only crypto which they accept? Hopefully there are also other cryptos or that they choose to accept more in the future.

Japanese are very smart and also well disciplined. Their govt. is positive about BTC, since they understand the true potential of BTC. No wonder people are going all-in.

Unlike countries like India - where the cheap prostituting politicians sell their own homeland for money, Japan has more integrity which always mean they will be succesful - which is very evident from the pace of their nations development.

This is of course a very positive sign for BTC and cryptocoins overall.

Japan is really a bitcoin-friendly country. But I think we can not say that we can expect a large number of foreign investments from users of cryptocurrencies in the Japanese economy. This country is always closed to foreigners. Perhaps for this reason, many foreign exchanges can not get a license to work in Japan.

Given that Japan has been considered the most widely technologically advanced country in the world it makes sense that they may be at the forefront in the revolution for cryptocurrency. What I do think though, is that given that cryptocurrency is a hit to them they also have the technologival capacity and the means to
Implement this on a much grander scale than what other countries can do. As such they may provide the blueprint on how to integrate bitcoin

Where did you get the news? Anyway, if this is true then its going to benefit all of us. One of the reasons why bitcoin price is reaching high is because people began to patronize it - so if Japan uses it the way it used to be then the demand for bitcoin will certainly spike up. The only challenge that I can sense is the volatility of it, how am I suppose to buy goods in the future if the price is very unstable, if I'll be saving some bitcoins now to buy a gun in December, how certain am I that the value of my bitcoin will be sufficient to buy it when I already decided to? I hope one day the global populace will use bitcoin religiously and therefore it's price will never be this volatile.

Japan wants to regulate crypto to be safe. They wanted only KYC for every user from binance and binance dont want to make such rule. Japan wanted to avoid money laundering so they have regulations. But they are crypto friendly because they allow crypto n their country unlike other countries. BTW OKex wants to move to Malta too)

Good news definitely. I think Japan has come to see that cryptocurrencies are legit and can really do lots of big changes in the market. And since Japan is a pioneer with accepting new technologies as it is party of their culture and tradition to embrace changes, then the dream of many cryptocurrency users of a place where coins can be used like any other currency to pay for services and good, while not removing its capacity to be used as an investment medium would now be a reality in Japan.

We’ll need some countries to be out in front in terms of acceptance and less regulations for cryptocurrencies.   Counties like Japan and Germany with its favorable tax laws seem to be on the cutting edge.

I don’t think you can count how many people are using Bitcoin in Japan, there are other countries that makes use of Bitcoin more than they do, and I’m very sure of that. And by the way, the picture the op used doesn’t display anything that shows that Japan is accepting Bitcoin.

If I’m right, the “Bitcoin is being accepted here’ is just an edit sticker. So Japan is not the only place where Bitcoin is declared legal. And I believe they make use of their main currency more than they do with Bitcoin.

Well it really nice to hear, we all know that Japan is one of the richest country in the world. If ever, most of their countrymen will use bitcoin and will benefit big in bitcoins price value. If not mistaken, as bitcoin introduce to Japan, bitcoin's price is slowly rising. Japan also started in giving their employees bitcoin's as their salary. They are now really giving importance to bitcoin and they are doing their "first" just to improve their usage of bitcoin. I think they trust bitcoin to help them to create innovation to make their lives more easier. Lets just be happy that JApan is part of the bitcoin community.

Japan has always been a model of cryptocurrency, and "bitcoin regulation" may have very different meanings in different countries. In Japan, it means taking steps to protect the rights of citizens, while encouraging responsible use of bitcoin and enabling companies in cryptocurrency areas to do business. In other developed countries, "bitcoin supervision" is a euphemism for "anti-money laundering".

Japan & South Korea is way ahead in cryptocurrency than other countries. Both counties have advanced technology and hence people are aware of what's going on in other tech fields. The good thing is lots of young people getting in, means crypto has great future in next decade.

I don't think other countries will adopt what's with japan right now, and its really hard going into cryptocurrency if each country government will not be accept it. Good thing about with Japan's government was united with this adoption, and the people itself were having deepest trust with bitcoin. Their place was merged into the fiat system especially the economic trend of the country weren't able to neglect the fact that bitcoin was volatile. Despite of that, the people in their country learned a good attitude by holding bitcoin for a purpose of long term investments and not a day trading scenario. If they sell their assets, they don't sell those that they don't need but instead dumping btc depends on how they really need it for their immediate expenses.
