    If you take an assessment, a lot of citizens are not yet informative what is cryptocurrency is....like bitcoin and other altcoins. One proof is that others can be deceived by swindlers because of lack of knowledge regarding crypto currencies. . They invest with the wrong people because of considering in unfounded information and hearsays.
   Educating people regarding crypto will not make them to mislead. Educators can teach about crypto inside school especially in economic subject/s because it has a big role nowadays.

There are already emerging some master degree in universities where you can learn about the crypto world, the Blockchain technology and so.
But, I'm afraid many people are based on a misunderstood principle while approaching the crypto world. I mean, since the last December hype, there is a common idea: you can get rich fast (and furiously) by buying some crypto. This also has led some students to ask for loans in order to get into the crypto world. This is completely wrong, for many of them are going to lose their money.
I think the first step we need to accomplish is related to erasing the idea of the crypto world as a fast way to earn money, for this is completely wrong and is making people to commit many mistakes.
Sadly, few are truly interested in the whole system behind this new technology, and that's the biggest problem. You just need to take a look at the Begginers&help section in here: most of the newbies are not asking about learning or understanding the crypto technology, but about how to earn some money here (beg for merits is the same, from my point of view). So, to be honest, I see few people really interested in the technology itself, but on the possibility of making some money.
Now, the technology is not only about earning but about creating a whole new tech system of money, in which people get to be free of banks and the current economic system. This is huge in the sense of human evolution, but, sadly, humans seem to have no interest in it.

For those who are truly interested in learning, in making a research, there are already many useful contents, not only on the internet but also in Universities. But trying to educate those who are not willing to learn seems almost impossible to me.

It is nice to overhear that there is now some universities where you can learn about cyrptocurrencies, and blockchains so they can study what is btc, altcoins, crypto are all about. Some are misled and deceive for this matter and I agree in your perception. Other members understood it for there own benefits, forgetting the essence of these forum, which is contributing new knowledge, sharing individual thoughts to solve problems, issues and matters.

Too fast is changing what is being taught now in school or universities. The world changes technologies very quickly, so the best training for new people who do not understand anything in the subject of crypto-currency is that it will be directly involved. Let it be for some small investment, 100 $ 1000 $. But so people will quickly understand the whole essence of the market, where it moves and how it develops

People now adays are getting hype when they learn from others that you can get rich easily with bitcoin with less effort. I suggest for the beginners not to be too overwhelm and impulsive when it comes to investing in cryptoworld. You need a deep knowledge about the ins and outs, pros and cons of engaging into bitcoin. You need to explore,  study and do some readings and research. Ask the experts or the veterans here. They can give you advise and tips on how to earn without investing money.

Digital Currencies or Crypto Currencies are very popular these days particularly to investors and traders online. I am living in a third world country and I know this because of the internet.

What I am trying to say is that it is popular, and there is no such thing as being popular and not being discussed or explained properly on the internet. There are a lot of great minds using the internet who can clearly explain what is crpyto currency, we just need to search.

I totally disagree with you. Many people are losing their money just by going into the market with no clue of how it works. That' s precisely the main reason why scammers are successful in robbing people by promising the sky with ICOs and magic investments.
People need to be educated in how the crypto world works, instead of believing that this is a magic path and that they will be rich anytime soon by spending $100 in any crypto.
This is a complicated new technology which can lead humanity into a new economic system, and not a game and a way to become rich.
Every time a newbie in crypto spent his/her money with zero knowledge the beast is fed and the image of the crypto world is, once more, the one of a scam and nothing serious. If you want to succeed in this, you need to study, thought.

I agree that you need to study.  I just don't think universities are the place to learn this.  Let's face it, for somebody who is motivated to learn, higher education gets in the way of their objectives.  In this space, the best way to learn read, go to forums like this, telegram channels, reddit, get your hands dirty, recruit some friends so you don't have to go it alone but above all, be critical.

Of course, I strongly believe in self-education!! That's why my point is about how less and fewer people are willing to study and learn (no matter how), but to become rich in a magic way. Just take a look at the forum, you will see how many are in here with just one goal: to earn some cents instead of learning.

I organize a lot of meetups in my local community to educate people around me on the importance of knowing about cryptocurrency... I think spreading information  / education is important.

I, personally, wouldn't mind my young kids to learn about cryptocurrency in school. These kids are the future and there is no harm in learning something such as virtual currencies which are likely to be in their future.

well then i think I should give you a little lecture. Since you do talk about educating your self.  Did you know that we are all here to gain enough amount of money and not cents because if that is the case we would not bother coming here in the first place. It is just that people are stack on a low value of earnings since it is free and the first place and most of them just dont have the amount for investments.

And there were also people in here who were gaining actually a decent amount than you do. Educating them for me is pointless if they dont experience failing that is the reason why we should allow them to explore experienced the things that they need to in order for them to learn

Education is the key to many success. Many of us here are trying all we can to understand this complex technology but I tell you, it is never easy when you are doing it alone without any guidelines from an experienced person. I think the easier it is for people to be educated about cryptocurrencies, the more the people all over the world will understand and accept it.

I agree that the education is lacking now. I know something about cryptocurrencies. I've had it explained to me a few times, but I still don't feel like I really understand it. I think it will take some time for everybody to be convinced that cryptocurrencies are here to stay. Then people will need to develop some curricula to start teaching. The difficulty in educating people about cryptocurrency is that you first have to make people unlearn things. There are a lot of misconceptions about cryptocurrencies and some of this is pretty ingrained into people. I would blame the mainstream media, which parrots the propaganda of banks and governments about Bitcoin. That is why educating people is very difficult.

Yes I agree in your opinion. Education is the  key to many success. Education it is very important to one person. It is a good idea to share our knowledge with others who want to become successful in their life. Educating people in cryptocurrency world is just like a giving them opportunities to makes additional earnings. This is a good idea to teach people within our community and family especially our children of right age so that when cryptocurrency exist forever or when it is accepted worldwide our children in the earlier stage will get benefit from it. This will probably help in their future needs like financial and educational expenses. I get your point and yes it is a good point. The thing here is, I do not understand other people why they choose to invest in something they really don't know. Me, I know that I have knowledge about crypto but I asked myself "Is that knowledge enough? One wrong move and I will probably lose everything. Thats how risky crypto is." Teaching cryptocurrencies and blockchain in universities is a great step forward for consciousnesses of people regarding this things but i believe its quite not enough as media in diffierent countries are taking down bitcoin and deceiving ordinary citizen to not to engage because its just a scam what so ever. This topic is really interesting, I think you can get many information about cryptocurrencies in the internet and currently some universities are now offering Blockchain education teaching students about crypto but, many of them get it all wrong with the mind set of getting rich over night which I think its cause by too much greediness. Why some don't even care to do more research because they already believed on getting quick money and forget the higher risk behind Crypto investment which makes them feel disappointed and call it scam. Yes, education is a good way to improve people's understanding of Bitcoin and help them avoid fraud. However, in my opinion, education in schools is not enough because those who are cheated often go through school age. I think we should increase propaganda on TV, radio, open local classes, ....

I definitely agree on this. the way I see through observing people, we as a human have a tendency that if we do not understand or know something we find it hard to accept it. Correct OP. Education is our main tool inside this system without proper knowledge we will be easily moved by those opportunist and scammers, but with proper education each decisions that you'll made is always base with your understanding and you won't lose your money that easy.

Coursera has a great course from Princeton on Intro to Bitcoin. Goes through the entire history, technology and use cases of Bitcoin. Can be a little bit technical but not overwhelmingly so. Highly recommened, takes 10-15 hours. If you complete it, you'll know more about bitcoin than 99.9% of the world.

This is really true and i had seen already some admins who are putting their efforts for conducting a seminar for the use of cryptocurrency and i think it is already being realized in a small scale wherein they could start to provide a seminar for cryptocurrency.

I think people should know about cryptocurrency about now. It doesn't really take that much time to know about its legacy and how it is changing the playing field of investments and possibly the stock market. Think about it, cryptocurrency going mainstream. So many people are still leaving in the dark age and know nothing about civilization. They don't even have the knowledge of online banking, let alone cryptocurrency. many people invest without wanting to know more about the investment projects that they are investing in. they are only tempted by the benefits offered, they are easy to believe because they do not understand the work system. so many people are fooled by the ICO project or other cryptocurecy projects ...

 Educating people on cryptocurrency would be one of the nicest ideas but the thing is in our put of the world where the government has not yet accepted the use of cryptocurrency, it will be difficult for some of these educations to be made, it cant be thought in schools, universities and the rest. unless the individual finds the time and learn it on his or her own, but here lies the case when most of us don't like reading. even though it would be a nice initiative you can't force one to learn what they are not ready to accept

    There is a lot of factors about educating. In my opinion educating people are not necessarily important as long we are eager to learn about cryptocurrency and wise enough to make decisions on their own good. And we could engage a related information to be used and in order for the additional wisdom.

The crypto currencies are spreadingly worldwide there are people who believes and invest there are also who does not believe. in my case i dont usually educate the people around me because i dont have a solid proof to attract them and my family  or friends are not really into technology .
