Hi there! Thank you for the insightful questions! The initial ERC20 token has a fixed supply and it is likely to see increasing demand as we onboard more commercial partners. Users will already be able to pay with the token anywhere using the debit card. Furthermore, 20% of the token supply is set aside for the long-term maintenance of the foundation and will not be touched for a long while. Moreover, participants in the closed sale who have made particularly large contributions are subject to a lockup period, thus they will not be able to just "dump" the coin right after the ICO.

As for your last question: The TLT system is a so-called 'protocol layer'. It comprises a collection of fast peer-to-peer protocols that provide a rich framework for arbitrary applications; the Standard Asset Registry and the TravelerToken itself are two applications we've already defined, but provisions for general distributed computation to user specification are included. As a network run by a consortium of businesses, who are all known entities, the expensive high-security consensus mechanism that public blockchain platforms use can be substituted for an extremely efficient consortium consensus algorithm similar to those used in large-scale data centers; it is highly modular and the incorporates the newest understanding of state dependencies, ownership, and validity conditions to improve latency and through-put to near optimal levels. Furthermore, given such a pool of relatively trusted peers, a cutting edge technique for distributed database searching can be implemented without concern for excessive security measures. This technique bypasses the traditional dichotomy of using a single central search structure or inefficiently replicating the search structure to every peer (as done in all current blockchain platforms). It does this by allowing semantic information to be encoded into the connectivity of the peers themselves, letting the same greedy algorithms that perform communications routing between peers also directly resolve requests for items organized by semantic features. The advanced database queries this enables are unheard of for a fully distributed system, and it allows for the businesses to set extremely fine-grained access/search permissions for all of their data (wherever they choose to store it). These few examples underscore the fact that the TLT system is not just an attempt to rip off other successful projects, but has been engineered from the ground up to provide the modern infrastructure real businesses need, right now, to enable innovation, cut costs, and provide their customers with the best and most customizable service possible. Therefore, our budget of 100,000 ETH is justified.

The exact number of tokens generated will vary and depend on the amount of funds contributed. Upon reaching the hard cap, the token generation event will end immediately. Then, they will be transferable once the token generation event is completed, following this distribution: 67% free market, 20% Token reserve, 10% Team, Advisors, Early supporters, 3% Bounty Program.

Thank you for the question! Public blockchain platforms suffer from serious scaling and performance issues. To enable highly scalable, low latency, and cost-effective fully decentralized systems and to eliminate the need for semi-centralized approaches, significant future advances will need to be made in blockchain technology. Projects such as TrueBit, the Lightning/Raiden networks, IPFS and Filecoin, Mysterium, and IOTA are steps in that direction. But these are merely the precursors.

Hey there! Currently, we already have an ERC20 token and the debit card up and running. The native TLT system is still in primary research and testing stage. The 'beta' phase - which is the public release of the testnet and Dapp framework - will happen in 2019 Q3.

Interesting concept! But how will you compete with the likes of Booking.com, Expedia, and co., who already have well-established customer databases supporting them?

Well, we find that there is no need to compete. While the TravelerToken system will act to reduce the number of intermediaries by creating a common infrastructure that can be leveraged, there will always be a need for companies that spend time and effort on pulling customers in, providing them with a nice experience, and offering support services. That will always add a bit of cost in the middle between the supplier and the consumer. The difference will be that instead of multiple intermediaries adding very little value to the end product, there will be at most one or perhaps more where actual value can be added. And that's where we come into the picture!  ;)

Quick question: Can I use Jaxx wallet to transfer my TLT tokens?

Thanks for the question! The Jaxx wallet supports the ERC20 standard, so you will not lose your TLT if you contribute using such an address. However, Jaxx is selective about what tokens they fully integrate and opaque in their decision-making process; we are pursuing their cooperation. But don't worry - in the event Jaxx does not fully integrate the TLT, you can always make use of the ability to export/import your private keys.

May I know what standard do the tokens use? Correct me if I'm wrong, but does TLT use the ERC20 standard?

That is correct! The initial tokens disbursed during the token sale will be ERC20 standard tokens on the Ethereum platform. When the overall TLT system is operational, the ERC20 tokens will be exchanged on a one-for-one basis with the native TLT token; this native token will likely follow any prevailing Ethereum standards to improve interoperability between the networks.

what's making this token unique? I was just reading another travel token called travelblock and they will remove cancellation fees and no hidden pumping bots from the price that you end up being exposed to so overall those two issues are very pronounced in the travel industry. Are you guys going to do the same or better?

I like this information here, as far as I know that some travel project working on their own way they just making cooperation with some hotels, travel agent, but here it working together with a bigger and wider range of partners.

1. In exchange for a duration of premium membership, granting access to member perks on listings from participating agencies, immunity from deposit requirements, loyalty/cashback tokens, and entry into lotteries for member events.
2. In exchange for the cost of a booking, in whole, which further confers for that booking immunity from deposit requirements and gives loyalty/cashback tokens.
3. In exchange for access to TravelXite’s SaaS and value-added services.
4. There will be a Debit Card that enables the holder to pay with the TravelerToken in the local currency and to withdraw money worldwide.

I'm curious...why do you prefer Bancor over Bitcoin or Ethereum?

Thanks for the question! The Bancor protocol is not a blockchain platform like Bitcoin or Ethereum. It is a mechanism to enable so-called "smart-tokens"; the idea is to endow token contracts with a reserve pool of another token or compatible currency and thus enable continuous, asynchrous exchange through the token contract itself. This continuous liquidity and asynchronous price-discovery has a number of benefits outlined in the Bancor whitepaper. We will not implement the Bancor protocol directly, but rather a modified version of it adapted to the specific needs of the TLT system.

Will you offer a wallet on your platform or do I have to create one before I can buy tokens?

Members of the consortium will be responsible for meeting KYC requirements and giving authorization for TLT wallets on the native system. We expect this will not be particularly restrictive and that it will be very much like the standard sign-up procedure for a user account on a website; however, you will only have to do this once! You will be able to select what information you want the member businesses that you patronize to share with each other, choosing the desired balance between convenience and privacy.

The TLT foundation will be a non-profit entity. If you mean the combined revenue of consortium members, we hope to bring in large partners over the next three quarters that will exceed 100million in their combined revenue.

Travelcoins has an option to cancel bookings free of charge as they can be sold to another customer. Will such an option be available for TravelerToken? Or is there going to be a cancellation insurance, for instance?

Great question! TravelerToken is not directly a service platform. Members of the consortium who operate such customer-facing platforms will decide whether they offer guarantees like that. However, one of the aims behind establishing a common technical infrastructure is to enable businesses to easily make such offers and to enable customized and cheaper insurance packages.

In terms of innovation, what sets TravelerToken apart from other blockchain travel businesses, like TravelCoin, for example?

TravelerToken is not merely an existing business concept that has been "put on the blockchain" and repackaged, as is the current trend. The distributed architecture and economic design are intrinsic to the model. TravelerToken is not a singular business itself, but an infrastructure to unite a consortium of businesses.

Ethereum provides the most mature infrastructure and tools for building complex Dapps and has a strong community of developers working to continually improve the ecosystem. The TravelerToken will not always run on top of Ethereum; it will transition to a stand-alone permissioned network. However, we will always strive to maintain interoperability with Ethereum, and other new decentralised application platforms that come along (i.e. EOS, DFinity), in order to leverage their communities and the applications built for them.

How is the TravelerToken structured legally?

It is a permissioned network controlled by the consortium foundation. All consortium members will be legally bound by the foundation and users will have to submit KYC information.

There is so much included in the project. How have you come around to such ideas about structure, foundation, and so on?

We are long-time followers of the complementary and crypto-currency movements, and dedicated adherents to the ethos of decentralization. All the pieces that went into crafting the TLT concept came from hundreds of hours of research and involvement in the respective communities.

I have a very important question for the tech team: On the white paper, Page 43 reads that similar token systems can arise and that TravelerToken is therefore not unique. This contradicts the claim that the project is unique. What do you have to say about that?

In terms of technology, they could arise later if they used the open-source code that we develop and that the TLT foundation will eventually release. In terms of economics, they could copy the model that we are proving and apply it to other groups of businesses with aligned concerns and interests, and that would be a very good thing.

After the sale is complete, all contributors will be able to transfer their tokens the same as any other ERC20 token. Tokens allocated for team members will be disbursed on a standard vesting schedule. It is the responsibility of each potential purchaser of TLT tokens to determine whether the purchaser can legally obtain TLT tokens in their jurisdiction or can then transfer or resell TLT tokens to another party in any given jurisdiction, in which different laws and regulations may apply. TLT tokens will never be mined; the supply of ERC20 TLT tokens is fixed and when migrated from Ethereum to the native system, the supply will self-adjust via automatic 'cashback' rewards.

The TLT system source code will be released under a standard open license as it is developed. This will happen gradually due to security concerns over potential early bugs in the system and the associated need to protect consortium members and their customers from breaches of private information.

Can I use Jaxx wallet to transfer my tokens?

The Jaxx wallet supports the ERC20 standard, so you will not lose your TLT if you contribute using such an address. However, Jaxx is selective about what tokens they fully integrate and opaque in their decision-making process; we are pursuing their cooperation. In the event Jaxx does not fully integrate the TLT, you can always make use of the ability to export/import your private keys.

What standard do the tokens use?

The initial tokens disbursed during the token sale will be ERC20 standard tokens on the Ethereum platform. When the overall TLT system is operational, the ERC20 tokens will be exchanged on a one-for-one basis with the native TLT token; this native token will likely follow any prevailing Ethereum standards to improve interoperability between the networks.

Can you give me a quick rundown of how I can get involved in this project?

2. In order to participate in the TLT token generation event, a wallet which supports the ERC20 token standard is required. We recommend using:
