I think probably for Q4 2019 as 2018 is 1/3rd through and ETH is less than 700 USD at the moment so 15K is too far off for now.

If it happened that the price of Ethereum soared to $5000 this year it will be a welcome for the fans and investors. There is no barrier in positive price movement of altcoins so Ethereum is no exception.

The fact that in 2018 for one unit Ethereum will give more than $ 1000 - almost no one doubts. So let's hope for the best.

Regardless, I think it's possible for ethereum to reach that price considering cryptocurrencies are getting famous and well known among the society nowadays. But I think it won't be that easy nor that fast because if ethereum reached $15k then the marketcap would be trillions of dollars. Not easy, but definitely possible in my opinion.

It seems to me the ethereum will cost no more than 3000 by the end of the year, just if the ethereum will repeat the fate of bitcoin in late 2017 - chaos will start again :D

yeah i don't really believe that it will make such a flight, like you said being at $700 right now makes it a little hard to be on 15K at the end of the year.
i do believe that it will rise but more slowly, perhaps it's also better this way to make it more stable and not go down so hard as has happened in the past.

Nothing is Impossible in this crypto market, If you see back the previous history of crypto growth can understand that. Even 2000$ is not bad at all. I wish it will be achievable before August 2018. Good luck for Etherium holders.

It's always very difficult to make predictions, but I do not think Ethereum can reach fifteen thousand dollars this year, unless there's going to be an explosive growth in the market over the next few months. Currently it has exceeded seven hundred dollars, and if this growth continues, I think that by the end of the year it is more likely to reach a maximum of two thousand dollars

I think $15k is too high to reach by the end of the year, maybe in the future though, this is why I think holding ETH is a good idea. It will probably skyrocket eventually

I dont think it would be possible this year, main reason is that would be a massive jump for one year after we already went into simmilar bubble in december of 2017

sorry to disappoint you but there is always a limit to how much you can pump an altcoin. you can never pump it to eternity. there will be a time when everything starts unraveling and crumbling down. and there is nothing going on for ethereum to be pumped that much either. the hype has disappeared and there is only bag holders and small pumps remaining.

not to mention as more countries ban ICOs, ethereum will eventually become obsolete!

but it wont' happens because it's far from that and we need our whole market capitulation to reach $100 Trillions to reach that point which is impossible if we are looking at our current market.

Being obsolete? I think the second crypto currency would never be gone forever because many projects and other transaction are being used by etherium blockchain. I only agree with the small pumps but $15,000 is too much for this year unless it will overtake bitcoin for gods sake.

In my knowledge, it's too far to reach. It's certainly doing well. ETH is looking good to hit $1k easily, but speculation about 5k/15k looks like odd to me. The total market cap is rising, might see a bull market, but thinking upto $5000 in ETH will be surprising.

Personally, my opinion, and I do not want to impose it to someone, it's 5-6k maximum. Just if in the same progression count bitcoin, then its price should rise above the mark of 100k. How much then should be market capitalization, the total. So I think 5-6 thousand is very real. I can definitely agree in one thing, there will be growth, and this is a fact.

I think there is a mistake because somewhere else i was reading that and he was predictong eth at $1500 this year, i do not know which one is correct but 15k mark this year seems too optimistic for eth.

$15K is too much. Its safe to say about $1,500 probably. but i don;t think there won't be huge spikes for their competitor as well. Crypto is almost becoming mainstream already and I got some friends who I don't expect to learn about BItcoin but all of a sudden they were investing already to some altcoins, not even BTC nor ETH.

Everyone is free to make their own predictions with respect to the price of ethereum in the near future. Predicting that the price will reach $ 15,000 means people are overly optimistic with the development of ethereum. What you really want to say,  is it $15000 or $5000? Because if you are saying that eth will hit $15000 although it is good for all of us still it is outside reality, meaning there is no reason to believe that on this year so a me with $5000 this year of 2018. $15000 for 3 to 5 years is possible and $15000 dollars that is quite long.

$1500 looks very good price consider if that will have broken previous ATH and it looks like $15k just like a dream that will be so difficult to be happened. Just try to thing the more rational thing. Bitcoin should worth a lot before ethereum worth more than $5k.

If you think about it than it seems crazy but if you look at what the price was just one year ago and what it is currently than it all doesn't look so crazy and actually looks easily achievable. The crypto market will likely be in trillions than and thats something that would be pretty good for the whole crypto markets.

We're almost reaching half the year now and barely getting past another zeroes in the prices of the major coins in the market especially Bitcoin. Ethereum could keep flowing still. If bull's burst in the price could happen we can dream off 15k now, but for the behavior of the price it is showing lately it is increasing the doubts of it a bit.

Who knows what will happen with ETH value after this year? I guess that prediction can be too high and very ambitious, I can say that $3k might be the closes that it can reach, though its my personal opinion and if ever that it will reach that speculation, I'll also be happy as I hold some Eth inside my wallet and waiting for my target being hit this year.

Personally i would be really happy if ETH ends up with something above $2000 by this year, i know many analysts are super bullish on eth but only time will tell, if their big update gets big hype it can easily grow to $3000 this year i guess.

Ethereum will not be able to grow up to $ 15,000 this year. Most likely, this coin is unlikely to rise even to 5,000 dollars. Although this is one of the best coins and no one doubts its prospects, but in practice almost all altcoins have a binding to the price of bitcoin. Its gonna be a long way for ETH to even reach half of that price. I'm not saying that its not doable, but I doubt that it can even get to $2K at the end of the year. We all love hearing bullish sentiments from the reddit co founder, maybe he is a bigi investors on EtH or something. But common sense says that not this year. Maybe in a year or two, ETH will soar, but to be able to get to that mark, we need a lot of money to pour into ETH ecosystem, the question is where are all the money will come?

I agree with you, the price is not close to getting that high. Ethereum is around $700 per coin and the price looks like it's not real. Bitcoin also shows the same thing though more people are trying to hope for better things with Bitcoin.

Well as much as i love ethereum this is a big stretch. Even if it manages to touch say 3000 usd that will be a great feat in itself. 15000 usd is little too unrealistic and overambitious. Even if it does touch that level it will fall back because of the inorganic growth and there will be a correction. But the growth till 2000 usd will be organic and will sustain. Because as many new alts come up almost all of them are based on ether.

$15k is too much and it seems too unrealistic at these moment. ETH is increasing dramatically but I think its near value to be expected this year could be at $2.5k. Due to its many supply it will really find hard to compete with the Btc value. Still, this coin can give us a lot of profit especially if we/you get the chance to buy when it was at $400 because as of these moment its value is nearly at $800.

Ethereum may rise but i don't think it will be that much. $15000 is an awfully high target for eth.eth has been known to be slow moving. So that target price for this year is unattainable. We might be going close to $2,000 or $3000 the most. Ethereum is still slowly recovering from the dump that happened early this year.

V. Buterin declared a few times that he has a lot of ideas as to development of Etherium. If these ideas are really to be implemented, ETH will probably grow.

Who actually makes transactions these days in Bitcoin? It's just an asset lately and the main bulk of transactions are carried out using Eth. That can only keep the price going up in the long term.

Thats a huge prwdiction by the way i guess if btc goes on 35k this year then eth would be around 250k to 300k $ around. That mostly depends on bitcoin usually. I think that could be the best prediction.

I am big supporter of Ethereum, but I think we have to be realistic here. $15000 is impossible this year and I don't think $5000 is possible this year.

Its alraedy in second quarter of the year and still the price is low so what are the main reasons to rise the price of etherium. Etherium is only relying on bitcoin price so if bitcoin fall etherium will fall too. But i am also hoping that maybe etherium will reached that mark.

There is no assurance that it will actually reach that price but the possibility of reaching that is really high. We have seen how the price reach it's peak, and in time even not this year its going to go well in price. Lets just wait and what we can just do is to buy and hold until the price gets better

In 3 years the price may be equal to $5 000. However, the nearest 6 months or year the price hardly be more than $2 500. The market is still very unsteady and no one should expect the great growth!

With the current situation of ETH, I think $5k is not possible this year simply because we need more time for this but I think if bitcoin hits $100k this year the price of eth may hit that price but for me $2k for eth this year is more possible.

That's really huge. For Ethereum to get to such apex point, The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has to be somewhere around $2– $5 trillion dollars market cap. And the current cap is just shy of $467B. So that's a really long way up that would involve at least 3-4 different bull runs. A more realistic price for Ethereum would be $2500 to $3000. Since the all time high price is around $1440

I think the odds of Ethereum hitting $15,000 this year are unbelievably low, even Bitcoin isn't on $15,000 and might not make it back past this point this year. The odds of Ethereum making it past $2,500 is already unlikely, $5,000 is very difficult, and $10,000 is damn near impossible within 1 year. At that rate, Bitcoin would be worth over $100,000 if their current ratio is maintained. No chance.

Ethereum from my personal prediction as well is expected to rally very well this year. I wouldn't be surprised it hits the 15000$ as you've indicated.

Currently, Ethereum is doing great hitting over 100% from 380$ low it went. Certainly this year is a great one for altcoins as most is built on Ethereum blockchain network.

The current ETH, after a rapid increase, is now stable, with no signs of accelerating as of April. So by the end of 2018, I think the ETH rate will reach $ 2,000, can not reach to $ 5000 or $ 15,000 because it is impossible. All predictions are based on emotions and are not realistic.

Anything is possible in our market and it would be great to see eth reaching $5000, it wil be great if eth reaches $5000 soon. We'll never know what will happen in the next months or years but most of us are eyeing and waiting for eth to reach it's ath within this year.

Coinmarketcap shows approximately 100,000,000 circulating supply for Ethereum. In order to get to $15,000 per coin, the market coin would have to be well over a trillion dollars for just Ethereum. I don’t see any possible way that ETH is that much ever, much less by the end of the year. There is nothing that exists or will be developed by the end of the year would push ETH or any cryptocurrency that high.

Well if this is true, everyone would be happy. But I am thinking this prediction was way over than what could happen within this year. If Ethereum could go as high as predicted, I think bitcoin could have gone very high around 50, 000$ I think, or Ethereum could really separate from the shadows of bitcoin creating a unique graphs of exchanges for itself since we know that ethereum exists behind the shadow of bitcoin.

It is a really big price for ethereum and i think that it is too much for a prediction and even though the person that places his bet or prediction about ethereum is a popular person, i will still not get into it because i am always playing safe and i don't want to join the hype and buy a lot of ethereum and experience loss because of the hype.

next month Google will finally remove support for cryptocurrency related affiliated activities and I believe it will affect the price of cryptocurrencies. however, ETH seems to be doing well for now. It has broken the 800 and the next target will be hundred. If everything goes on fine ETh might hit 900 in couples of days. if ETH hit 15k I am imagining what will be the price of Bitcoin because being the most traded coin, all altcoin price relatively depend on the price of Bitcoin. if ETH hit 15k then bitcoin will probably have reached 50-80k which I don't think it is holistic.

I really don't think that $5,000 is within the realm of possibility this year, as that would be a more than quintuple fold improvement in market cap. At the moment, ETH is at $700 nearing $800. I know that it is quite stable in terms of it's growth rate and if mooning allows it there will be multiple folds of profit for us but $15k is too much i think. More likely around $2-4k at most. But we're not sure, things happen in this platform. 

If your prediction will gonna happen, then it is a good news for all of us. Personally, I am a great believer of ether and I am a great supporter and fan of ethereum platform.  Among all altcoins, I consider ether as the best altcoin circulating in the market.  I also believe that ether will reach $5000 and might even surpass that price because there is a possibility that ether will reach bitcoin price but I doubt it will gonna happen this year. I can say that ether is on the way to reach that price and  it might happen 3 to 5 years from now.  With that, ether is really good for long time investment.

True, I've always been a proponent of NEO, as I really do think it is a technological leap over Ethereum due to its open programming smart-contracts. Zilliqa is another great potential alternative due to its sharding approach, but right now it's still just a prospect.

I think that the price of ETH is really hard to be 15000$ in the end of 2018, because 2018 has experienced lots of crises with digital market.  You can see that from the beginning of 2018 up to now it is a declining period of all digital coins including ETH, to my judgement, in the end of this year, market will be restored and the price of ETH will be between 1000$ and 1100$.

That $15000 was a mistake by the co founder of reddit as he corrected that sentence later on and said that he meant $1500. Also just cause someone says that the price should reach a certain point doesn't guarantees that the price will reach that level. There needs to be some reasoning for it.

No, the two prices that you give are too high, in my opinion we are going to be lucky if we see a price at the end of the year of 1000 dollars for each ethereum I know that my prediction is not very bullish or popular but that is what I see, this year is not going to give to us the profits some are looking for, this year is going to be a test and the ones that will pass it will be those that keep holding their coins and those investors will be rewarded with a huge growth in 2019 or 2020.

I believe that as we are getting to the end of the year,  Etherum can really rise very high but not up to the 15k as predicted. Ethereum price is really down now but I surely believe that the price will rise higher again. The most important thing now is to be patient and wait for the good days to come but 15k this year is an exaggeration.

I don't really agree with that, it will take a longer time before that price will come to pass. majority of people using ether are the ico projects, so it will take ether a little time for the price to get to reach that amount.

I think $15000 is way too far for ethereum's value this year. Ethereum is really struggling to rise up just like any other crypto this year, so I guess $15000 is quite difficult to reach right now. While we have seen huge growths like that in the past in terms of percentage things are different now, the market cap of ethereum is massive and any increase in percentage is going to be more expensive when it comes to nominal dollars this is why a coin with a very small market cap has an easier time growing and this is the reason many people invest in those coins since their profits are better.

I don't think that ETH will go to $5k this year or even in the next 18 months. It's a good project but still it has to cope up with the limit of only 14 transactions per second. I think that it's extremely bold forecast too. Today I don't believe in this prediction, even though I'm a crypto enthusiast. Moreover ethereum team has announced that sharding implementation is delayed till 2020 and this fact can drop ETH price lower than $300.

By using basic logic, if the current price of ETH always following the bitcoin's price movement, at the stage of $10000 ETH as I recall is $600, from that to reach $2000 we need to wait for bitcoin price to rise for atleast 3,5 times as it is right now which is $35000.
