i have witnessed in this forum that many good answers don't get any merits as they should. i have been trying hard to give quality answers upto my knowledge but merit god doesn't seem to be impressed. i would like some suggestions from OGs to help me getting some merit and improving my btc forum rank. thank you. (if you find any of my post relevant hmu with merit)

For you to earn some merit try and try to post good and positive feedback. Their are times that we wanted to get what we really aim but it is not given as of now maybe it is because not the exact time. Don't be hopeless wait for your turn for sure you will recieve that for the exact time. In posting it is also matters the inside or the thought and the longest you post. Keep doing your time will be near to come.

I believe in the power of faith, some tautology ;D But it's real, if you striving for something truly you just will achieve it. Any way.

First to earn merit as I have come to understand, you have to make a quality post and also you have post in threads where your posts won't get drowned by some shitpost without being noticed. Join conversation and merits will come.

This is our fault because we came here late , merit system was implemented during our newbie status so we need to absorb this system and nothing to worry , since we are accepted in signature campaign , don't thinking too much of the merit , I believe this will award at the right time , just  wait and stay fucos .

If you believe that your posts are really good and deserved to be merited so why don't you just report them in Giving away merits to earn Merit?

As I know DT member actmyname has a topic give away 14 merit for anyone who have good quality posts. Try your luck. You can get merit or can be tagged because of spamming but don't worry cause it's just a neutrual :))

Here you can get the credit only for the divine subject. Others prefer for services to give their services. Because their number is limited. I think it is time to release the crypt of MERIT.

Sorry to say it but its not possible to rank up with the new merit system. No matter how good your post are no one is going to give you enough merit to rank over member status. People who say you need to post quality post in order to get merit are already sr.members and look at their merit, they haven't earned any since they started use it. I'm glad I manage to get full member status before they implemented the merit system.

I dont think anyone will be able to help you with an apt solution, because all said and done, everyone here is facing the same issues. The merit system was meant to encourage good quality helpful responses, and has been truly successful in that attempt, its only giving the merits, that is still creating unrest, and that too because of a lack of understanding the whole system, where giving is an integral part.

Well, getting merit for just commenting is really hard. People don't receive it even for quality posts. So no surprise here for me.

It's nobody's fault. Don't blame yourselves for being late. Though it would be awesome if we get to experience the "activity only ranking system", yes we (i was also late, but i was blessed with some merits). But still, it's for the forum's sake and we should be thankful that it did happen. I've been reading for a while in meta now and some older members says that merit system is indeed working and it lessened the amount of shitpost flooding the forum.

Also, think of it as you'll be able to learn more considering you really need to read and think before you click to be rewarded with some merits. Best of luck!

I have seen many merited post and replies. I always doubt if it's like scripted or not (I mean sent by a friend or alike). But I checked some post merited by a Legendary or Hero Member.

I notice that this post are mostly on point and is really REALLY helpful. So, if you want merit point might as well copy what this post is made of. Try researching before you reply on topic and always check other's reply (at least the latest) first before you reply. This is for you to know if the post is already answered and is solved.

I hope we get merit and help the forum from this.

sometimes we think if the post we make is very good and quality but not necessarily for others even some 90% may ignore and don't give us merit .. I also think if 70% of people are afraid in giving merit because they don't want to get red trust with reason accounts connected  .. this makes us very difficult to get merit.. for now we can only be patient and even resigned because we are late to come in this forum..

When i asked similar questions to the seniors on this forum, i was bashed that why do you need merit points and why fo you need to rank up? You are already forum member and that is enough lol, so i have stopped looking for answers to this question and im contented with whatever rank i have.

It's a big concern to many of us here. But posting because we are looking for merits, in my opinion, not the main point of introducing the merit system. Some may be impressed, others may not. At least we know we have contributed meaningfully to the community.
If we're looking for merits at all costs, we would eventually get frustrated when they're not coming. So relax buddy, continue to post good and quality answers here. Your efforts will pay off one day.

Generally, sharing valuable information is one good way to get merits. I often saw that info sharing thread got merits. Sharing some old news won't help, by the way. 

Merit is not easy to earn, even once I don't experience to have merit, so all late comers are stay on a junior rank only, and even how people good on posting and sharing ideas but still nothing earns about merits, but I understand that merits system is favorable to the good of cryptocurrency business in order to have a high quality of post.

I get you. It's kinda depressing knowing you have exerted efforts and research just to give the best shot on every points. But then again, we are a community with difference mindset. Maybe there ideas that we think as extraordinary to us but just simple to others. We have different standards and different ideas that may conflict theirs.

Make creative posts, topics where this is possible with pictures which specifically reveals the meaning, and no water.

Yeah, it's really hard to earn merits this days even if you have good posts. But maybe if you try to give it more effort or think of something that a lot of people need then maybe we can get people to merit us.

Valuable is measured how helpful one idea is and how realistic. Some advises here are supperficial and some are irrelevant at some point. Old news and post are not helpful as it was first posted but still they are just nothing, you will see history on certain threads which will help you see how much it changed from the past and maybe can refreshen us up when we are overloaded.

Yes this is really the problem today. Because your post is even more constructive you will not receive merit. But there are also some who give merit and these are good people. So my advice is to post, Because not all members here in the forum do not give merit

Not all member of this forum want to give merit to the post or thread that have quality post because  they have fears to give merit to other members because if they made mistakes for giving merit they will be ban or they maybe they can got red trust. so the other member ignore the quality post.

The general advice is to focus no quality over quantity and it will come in due time. It's hard but you have to keep it up.

Yeah generally I'm not a big fan of the merit system. I think the point was to deter spam and low quality posts, but we still see them daily ;D

If that is the case then newbies like us are fucked and consigned to be stuck on the same level till eternity. A new system should be designed to make it a tad less tedious to upgrade.

Going back its been true that not all good quality posters do really given the chance on getting some merit into other members into this community.Due to possible reasons, where they do only make some priorities to sent out like his friends or closed ones into this forum or other thing would be either they dont like to give merit at all and spoil those smerits into their accounts.

Hey Mate, I am feeling like you. This system is blocked. Personally, I lost faith. I really hope in a near future they will change the system by something really fair for everyone. Complaining will not help. We need maybe drive a campaign for changing the system.

I think if your post is on point and is quality, it may appease a higher rank member who might give you merit. Most articles merited are articles worth reading and have something to offer.

Your right, its very hard to earn merits, even if your post have positive, good point of views and quality. Maybe because our higher ranked members were not pleased on our post or there are more other qualified posts than ours. But don't you worry because it enhances us to do more or to make even better quality post than before. More quality and positive posting of feedbacks will make our ideas to be an excellent one, time will come that merits will be given to us, just wait and strive harder.

Your account is few Merits, and sometimes you feel the post quality, but there is no merit. I guess because of English grammar, or your language style is not friendly. Because the reader's reflexes show that even the excellent content they feel is not close to the sentence, it's challenging to get Merits.

I think it depends on where you post. For example if you post in threads or join conversations where you don't get high rank forum members around, you'll get less or no merits, but if you post at good sections of the forum, you'll have a good a chance. Another thing is that we are all different individuals, and we have our specific preferences. I say this because what you think as being a quality post to you might not be as a high quality to the one giving the merit.

I don't have any merits yet too, but as i saw in the thread, there are so many people get merits from create a useful thread, i hope that i can get any merits from that too or even from useful posts, so that i can improve my rank

If you believe your posts are worth to get merits, you should look out for posts under Meta sections where there are many topics about merit donors looking out for reasonable posts to shower merits.

I can't understand what can Junior say such important or useful information for members or higher to get merit, I think they know more then me. May be it should be simply a good article about smth or interesting bounty thread?

Most of us make posts that has no or little flesh.They do not give a lot of insight to the reader so when people read those posts they do not get any important information or no education from what we have written here in.This will not motivate anyone reading the post to merit the writer of that post.Going forward we should not just post because we are wearing a signature but because we want to give information or educate others.

it is not very convenient, in former times it was much easier to get your rank, but what can you do, rules are rules and they must be respected, on the one hand it is correct

don't ever complain about merit because it is our own late mistake, i also experience the same thing as you, but i can only surrender and do work according to existing rules if someone give me merit because my post is useful then i will happy but if it is not there then I am not too disappointed because I think late is no problem than not at all ;D

It's almost impossible to get new rank with this new system. I think it was invented just to separate Hero and Legendary members from others, otherwise there would be hundreds of them in 2 years. I saw a lot of really high quality posts, and a lot of users were thankful for them, but still they didn't give any merits for it. So this system is not working as it should

In my opinion merits will come in a right time you,me i will never stop on waiting just think positively i know there is someone who will recognized my works soon,,have faith and it will come.

It can get frustrating tho, this merit of a thing. The funniest thing is this merit god that have it all didn't strive for it. I get it is one of our punishment for being a late bloomer.

Merits need to have quality content and describing and explaining the current blockchain trends and coins and provide resourceful information then we can expect merits Meta tag section

that's the saddest true about merits. if you dont have enough influence or being well-known on this forum, you wont earn any merit, and if you earn, some people might report you and saying that you are abusing merit system.

No, actually things are not working like that. Simply the merit points have been exhausted, because very few points are to be distributed, and thousands of new posts are shared every day in this forum, so as time goes by, the chances of receiving merit point diminish more and more, regardless of the quality of content you share.

Therefore, I regret to tell you that you will hardly get the merit points you are looking for, unless you do some negotiation about it, because in this forum everyone is only looking for their interests and nobody seems willing to share something in a disinterested and free way.

It is difficult to define quality post criteria, so some members are afraid to give merit. maybe it is one of the causes of the difficulty of getting merit.
only certain people who easily get merit, such as managers and members who have a high rank.

I read a message about Merit one of the Legendary. You know what he said? During these three and a half months he received only 40 or 50 merits. And he's a very smart dude & understands all sorts of technologies. I'm for example not strong at all.
So he confirmed that it is very difficult to get Merit even for him. About small ranks there's nothing to say. To get a merit is not enough to write a good post. It is necessary that Source of the Merit notice it or a member of the forum with a high rank.

There is service that offers merit, I read it in the forum but for those who need little amount to rank up there account. Just post constructively and wait for someone who catches the attention of your idea and give you merit for that. There are people who can give that, even it takes much time for that.  

Don't beg for merit - I put you on ignore for merit begging. Merit begging in the first post means that I don't bother to read the rest of the thread, especially as it is just a rehash of threads that appear regularly.

This is bad advice. Pictures fill up threads, and, unless they really do add something to the topic such as a graph, then they can get you put on ignore. If you are on ignore, then your posts aren't seen by the person ignoring you, and you won't get merits from him.

Remember that those of us who are actively awarding merits aren't paid for it. We often have busy lives, and anything that slows down the scanning of a thread will either be skipped, or will result in the poster being ignored. This is why a reasonable command of English will result in a greater chance of receiving merits.

Even if merit feature is launched a few months ago, it is still in the basic phase and I am expecting some more time for inculcating the habit of giving merits to others. If you are concerned about gaining merit points then the best way is to share your knowledge in the best possible way and never asking/begging/buying merits. It is similar to Facebook like function, you are supposed to share your content and others will like it (give merits) if they find it valuable.

If you want merit, try these tips:

-Read as much as you can! Whether it comes from this forum or not, keep reading! The more time spend reading, the more knowledge you will get. It will benefit this forum and your own self.

-Try reading topics in the board, namely "Others > Beginners & Helps". There are lots of available topics, which are created by other users. Those topics might have the same issues as yours. So you can learn from their mistakes. It's unnecessary to start your own topics.

-Be ready to help others if you can help. Solve problems presented by posts. The more helpful you are, the more likely someone will spare you some merit.

Keep grinding and be positive. A user will notice your efforts sooner or later. And remember, don't ask for merit.

It is truely hard to get merit and rank up now,it's my mistake because I don't join when the time that merit are not required.

It depends on others. Not what you post is useful is you will be meritorious. if someone likes you. and they are free. They will send you merit. It is very difficult to get merit at the present time.
