This is nothing new and has hidden agenda like those news last year same as Jamie Dimon's claim of bitcoin being a fraud.

It's obvious that banks are suffering with crypto's now so they are trying to pull it down by making these misleading articles.

I do not believe there is a deep correction within the 12 months. The deep that cryptocurrency went through just recently that lasted about 4 months has taken its bit on the market and for me, I'm not expecting any for now till like 5 years if it can come that close.

Such a kind of words is always related to the intention of guiding (or misguiding) people into a fear selling. Do not pay any attention to them, for they have no serious bases to sustain the motto, this kind of article is always looking for creating some panic selling.
Wich is going to determinate the crypto in 2018 is probably regulation. Many countries are making some policy design regarding crypto and, probably, it will be reflected in the prices of the coins. But, for the moment, the policies seem to be well-directed in countries as the US, Germany, and others.
Let's wait and see. None can see the future, yet.

They specialize in: "mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and private placements in the technology sectors". Meaning they could have little or no experience with crypto currencies. They may not even have a background in trading stocks, bonds, precious metals or anything that would give them real experience or a good perspective on the topic.

It is certain that corrections will come but how deep it will, is what I can't analyse. But I think OPs deep is really as deep as killing of cryptos.

Where you are seeing the price dump in the market mate. I see bitcoin continously bumping the market. In this meanwhile you are saying the correction will come means no one believe you mate.

But the problem is that he looks like creating much FUD to a market who are just really riding a good momentum recently. So one has to question his motive. But as far as 90% wtf? its to exaggerated because we all know that the market can't go down that deep unless there's a big negative news which we don't see. Government banning could be one factor, however, in the last 3 months we have seen government regulations and outright banning but still bitcoin didn't crash to like 90%.

Deep correction or not, the market will do its thing, but someone trying to come up with a collapse theory or a doomsday theory when of course no one knows the future is the most appalling thing to ever do and just a way to generate cheap FUD. The essence is just to get some weak hands out of the market and rather than the community growing strong, some will just keep falling for this over and over and over again which would make the whales and the banks win at the least.

There are so many important factors which then result in the downfall in the market value of the crypto coins and that because of which, the ones who have invested their money into any of the crypto coin suffer. However, the only key to success while being there in this market is none other than that of staying cool and calm and that to hold your nerves all the time so that you may not end up making any wrong decision.

I agree that this seems to be another attempt to try to manipulate the market, it seems to me that those that want to see the price of bitcoin crashing are confused by the fact that it is no longer going down, yes they made the price of bitcoin a lot lower but it is nowhere close to where it began in the previous year, it seems they do not like the current support level of bitcoin and they're trying to manipulate people to keep selling but it seems that strategy is failing.

Hey guys, I do not want to spread any FUD here. I am just do some TA on BTC and cross check information related to news. We had in strong correction of BTC since January when the market was on the hedge. When we were on the hedge the institutional were going out and cash out their money.Since then the market cap of the market decreased and went sideway until now. Following the news the institution are trying to get back on BTC and create at the moment FUD. When we see the resistance around 10-11k  we can see something is going on... What we all suggest they will get back in the market but not at this price. The target is around 5K  ... OK you will all say the resistance still there, but I am convince the market will shrink again and fully get back on bull market for September...we will see

But i currently do not think that we can expect any other correction, because the price as just started increasing after a long long time. i think that bitcoin price will continue increasing for some time and may be when we reach to the previous high price of bitcoin at that stage we can then expect a little correction, but still it will not continue increasing for a long time.

Up and down is part of business and especially in cryptocurrency business. A good and experience businessman will suffer big dump in the price because he knows that this is just a matter of time and after some time it will grow again. This is called business. Panic people cannot invest in bitcoin, because such investor can lose all or some of his money.

It will suffer more because the huge pump is now reducing and coming to its normal growth. People call it corrections but I think it was necessary to stop unnatural growth. Such currencies disappear after some time which is not according to their market value, but bitcoin is now on the right track. Now people are happy with this growth.

This exchange was one of the biggest for altcoins trading and that's the reason most of the altcoins are down about 20 percents or more in the last week, people who was invested in bitcoin only didn't really feel the drop as bitcoin went down only about 10% which is not huge compared to altcoins.

A crash over 90% after we already had a crash close to 70% will mean that most coins will go very close to zero and to be honest I do not see it, even if just the people that are here in the forum did not sold our coins I think that will be enough to avoid such a crash but if you believe so strongly that is going to happen then short bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies and earn a fortune that way.

Actually,,, I somehow missed reading the whole content the first time I read this article and was only focused on the supposed SEC meeting about Ethereum as a security. I do not think any analyst can say what will happen, especially in such a short timeframe of 12 months,,, but I would agree quite wholeheartedly that even if 90% of cryptos collapse to 90% or worse, I would be happy. Because I still have most of my holdings in Bitcoin, and I have faith in the few alts I truly hold. So, this is all good news to me.

Indeed we saw a nice recovery from the last month to the current one but people have to learn to be a bit more patient or don’t fall for every bit of bad news that often turns out fud as the SEC “decision” on Ethereum that never took place. Also you should not only look on CMC but do more background research, when I see people busy with Crypto in my office I mostly see them looking at chart, rarely reading a whitepaper. If you have to look at charts and are not a day trader then use a wider filter like 7 day instead of 24 hour changes. Better for your mood too, at least until we get in a real bull run.

Yes there would be correction which would likely drop the price beyond what we are having currently but a strong one would mean a crash in price which is way out of line at this time. I think the reason for such huge dump in the price was because the huge bump was unnatural. I don’t know the reason but it was not according to the market cap. People were happy when the price reached to $20k in just few months. But then corrections started and the price dropped to $6k again. That was the natural price. I think there is nothing to worry about the price.

Yeah, I believe in the potential of bitcoin in the long run to give a sweet value based on real life adoption and usage, but assuming a strong correction like the OP said, or just assuming a huge price for the future, is just what has turned this market into a purely speculative market and that is not helping.

I can feel you mate. LOL. I don't know where does this "hate" towards bitcoin comes from. Its like they don't want bitcoin to go to the next levels but pushing their predictions that bitcoin will go down. I just shake my head, not that they are correct, but the fact that they have zero clue as to what they are talking about. Strong correction already happen, as the price is below 5 digit marks but it doesn't mean that it will go down further as what the OP is predicting. The market goes on correction and followed by recovery, it cyclical and that's how it worked.

Huge corrections for huge faults. $20k was a huge fault and then huge correction. Now bitcoin is on the right track. There is no huge dump and bump. There are small corrections in the price but there is nothing serious about it. It is normal. The price will increase gradually with the passage of time and corrections will also be there with price without any panic.

I think the same, and because I read this article, but because bitcoin has been going up really high and recently the hype level( we can even see that from researching the amount of people  that searched for bitcoin/crypto at different points of times), I can predict that price keeping with the negative trend towards the correction area.

Every term is milked for its worth these days. Corrections are strong corrections. Rises are called massive, dips are called crashes. It's all accurate perhaps but only relative to conventional markets. These are actually very normal in BTC's volatile history, as much as normal can be applied as a term. No need to punish people, otherwise there's a need to reward correct predictions!

We are even already in a correction at the moment but which looks like a more complex correction as it is. Its just predictions and no one knows if this were going to happen or not and for me it seems unlikely. The market is way better now compared to the previous years, we may experience price declining but its only temporary.

Nevertheless, I dont mind the present situation of the market or for the next 12 months, im a long term hodler and will only sell my coins if they reach my target price.

Honestly, this is a pessimistic information from the OP. Plus, the media always manipulating the users of crypto through some fake or false information, predictions..., and unfortunately, many are easily fooled through this information, that's why they always lose a large proportion of their money in trading.

In addition to that, I do not expect that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will disappear or collapse after some period and even a few years, despite within the previous months until now, there were always many crises in the market and the price of Bitcoin in a total decline. Cryptocurrency has already a strong strong correction by coming down from 20k USD to nearly 7-8k USD. I know bitcoin is currently near $6,700 but this is just a short phase and market will regain its value easily in the coming days. Bitcoin tends to remain stable near 7-8k USD after every crash, hence people can invest if Bitcoin falls below this point as they easily attain 10-12% profit when Bitcoin falls below the correction value mark.

I believe this is a normal cycle for a bearish market, actually right now is an easy profit, buying right now and wait for a few weeks the market will become greenish again. This is happening in the past few months, i wonder why people are still not resistant to it  :D

Sure cryptocurrency market to suffer from strong correction. Already there are so many corrections done. But still the market cannot recover, again the price goes very low. All are expecting june starts the price will increase, but oppositely the price goes down. Dont know when the market will recover again. Maybe this is the last dump in this year. If youve been here for a while then for sure you are already familiarized on how market moves which is definitely different from traditional trading firms like forex and stocks but for those who just recently jumped in then rest assured they would really feel the anxiety and the doubts on what they are into or do involved themselves to this volatile market. This situation now I wouldn't call strong correction, it's been much worse. Currently this is still moderate corrections and at the moment I don't see the signs that it could go even deeper.
So watch the market closely and keep up with changes but don't start to panic and don't get under influence of different false information and FUD.
So far I haven't read any prediction with solid ground and explanation that makes any sense so I consider this all to be pure speculation.

The rise and fall in the market value of different crypto coins is something which will remain there and that no one out of us can finish it off completely. It is because of the volatile nature of the crypto coins and that because of which, the market price of the coins keeps on changing. The only thing which we as an investor need to do is that we must be sure that we are making the right choice at such times.

We have been in the middle of a correction for a very long time however I do not believe this will happen, I really think we already saw the worst part of the crash, the price may go even lower but not by much, however I agree that in the future most of the existing coins will disappear and only a few will remain but those that remain will become incredibly valuable.

this thread is happening now, market is really down... in the past weeks my investment was loss over 60% in capital.. i hope correction will stop and all coin will now grow - up.. there are so many people now panicking because of the downturn of almost all coin but they say thus is just a normal situation and the market will recover soon.
i hope in the coming months as we enter the midyear there will be more investor to come-in specially in the last quarter of the year which expected to double or triple the prrice of all coin.

Bitcoin has already corrected and the price is now in normal situation. People thank that bitcoin is not increasing but I think that they are addicted of big pump in the price like the previous one and now they want growth every time. I feel nothing when the price collapsed from $20k to $6k because I knew that this growth was a bubble and when this bubble blown in the air the price will fall to its original position.

Yeah it is right that cryptocurrency is in bad times and there are many corrections on daily basis especially in bitcoin. The price of bitcoin didn’t increase for some months and the investors are going to convert their money to Altcoin or withdrawing their investment. I think it is for the time being and the future is very bright of all cryptocurrency.

What is the natural price that you are even talking about bro? It is a market, there is no natural price and it is a highly volatile one. Sure, the huge correction from $19800 was expected and there we already had it to a bit lower than $6k with us not still knowing if the correction is fully over or not, but at least we are still trading outside of the major downtrend presently.

Yeah you are right in these days the price is under huge corrections and I think the reason is that the first big pump was unnatural and the prices reached to $20k in just a few months, but then down fall starts and the price came to its original position. It has been corrected and now the price is according to the market cap and there are no more huge pumps and dumps in the price.

Those corrections are really important as it makes the price high and low but we are there to buy at low and sell high. correction as far as i know is the act of falling of prices but only a small percentage. While crash on the other hand is also an act of price drop but in a big percentage.  Both of these events have already happend and currently been happening to the market of cryptos. But as what ive always said, there is nothing to worry about it because the price can surely become stable later on.

And most of the people in this community are now panicking because of this reason which is wrong. Those speculations are never ending as everyone who has missed the high profits will want that btc should keep on falling so that they can buy at much lower price. yes you are right in my opinion the condition of the cryptocurrency price at the exchange place at this time is really awful a lot of bad news that attacks the cryptocurrency that makes many panic and prices collapse.

I don't think Bitcoin will fall by 90%. Altcoin may appear, but Bitcoin has such a large user base. Many whales/sharks hold Bitcoin, and they won't let Bitcoin crash!

The correction is becoming obscure as time passes. From May till now, there have been series of corrections and that do not give immature traders with so much hope in the market. One thing that is not helping the entire ecosystem is the fact that fundamentals and sentiment is killing the market; with few greedy individuals manipulating the prices.

We always accuse whales, but they aren't only ones who affect the price. There are too many day traders, how many people constantly sell and buy bitcoin, and in which pairs? This market will not collapse. It is whales who deliberately make us sell cheap things that keep them cheap. To say much, the purchase price must be low that is what a merchant should know. And the same way they are doing with us to buy low prices.

Yes, this market callback is very fast and very large. 80% of coins have fallen by more than 10%. I believe most investors have suffered huge losses!

Always the same old stories, whales are guilty for the low price and market recesion. But do you realy beleive that handful of users could influence the price so significantly? I don't think so, there are also many other factors that affect price besides whales and their greed.
Lately this could be SEC delayed decision about Bitcoin ETF.
But the fact is that Bitcoin price is very complex and many factors influence it, you can't judge on situation so narrow.

The market is in a very strong downtrend so this is a good time for investors to buy their very good cheap coins. I also bought myself some of the coins I had studied before, and I saw this decline as an opportunity for me to buy more good coins.

Bitcoin will always last, that much is clear. It is the only one that has a strong enough principle that is not vulnerable to mass manipulations. Sure, we can see price swings timed by exchanges, but that can happen with every asset. Bitcoin cannot be centralized, it stands on its own.

Yes, the prices are kept declining in the market and this makes us forced to hold the coins for the long term. The market will recover soon and we need not worry about us because we bought the coin at a very high price, if we manage to hold them for long-term then definitely we are going to make the good amount of money.

Until today, many ETF proposals have been rejected by the SEC and this has already been submitted by more than 5 proposals. Still need time and patience for the crypto community through this

In 2017 also it got rejected and market crashed but after that market bounced back and  the price went so high , so everyone is expecting now same thing to happen in 2018, but they dont know that in 2017 lot of them have sold their major coins before in short and only whales were holding and sold in ATH and now most of them are holding in high price and waiting to sell so i dont think that in 2018 we can see price moving any above 10k

You are right but this is not only a bad news but its a FUD article that wanted to pull the holders down and to make them panic. This is intentional during the time that it was published.
Last year it was rejected but it didn't became an obstacle for the market to reach its all time high. Though there are still some reviews and proposals on pending.

If that's the only way to make more improved than before, so be it. Corrections will not only improved its capabilities but will also be the reason for some crypto to make its market price grow as more people will be attracted to invest in a much better version of that crypto.

yes you are right now the cryptocurrency market is experiencing a very strong price correction so that a lot of cryptocurrency prices are falling because a lot of traders are panicking because of bad news.

so long corrections up to 12 months, bitcoin may stay at the current price but other krypto freefall in the krypto market while eth is really back to experiencing the ups and downs at this time.

This is kind of positive thinking which all of us need to have, if market price is getting down then it does not mean we are in lose infect we are getting more chances to buy at low price, if price will be behind correcting then it will be good time for sellers but for those who are still have no bitcoin will be worry about it, just have fun and buy more price is not yet high.

Agree with you falling market is not only lose but sometimes it can be good opportunity for us to buy at low price and hold until the price will recover sooner, I am one of those who invested to it for years, investing in bitcoin and using it is really an interesting tasking because with this we can learn how to use crypto and how to make money from it.

yes you are right the cryptocurrency price at the exchange place now seems to be suffering because the price is currently collapsing and being very cheap, the volume of bitcoin is also getting lower this is probably bad news for traders and as a test to stay patient.

This was predicted since last year and whoever is predicting it now is coming late cause it’s already happening before the month of May the op posted this. Price is already down and I don’t think there is any coin that survived it, not even Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoinor any altcoin survived it. Bitcoin has fallen from a price close to $20k and down to $6k +. That’s a huge fall. Same thing was what happened to ETH and the rest.

yes you are right and I think this is a very normal movement because after experiencing a very high price increase it is very reasonable if the price falls and corrects this badly, and it depends on your mentality that is still strong to stay or sell your assets which of course will make you lose.

It is nothing more than fud by some author,now adays author are thinking themself expert in crypto trading and using some technical skills and they are drawing base less prediction.unless whales decided to dump the price no one can shift this much change but yes correction are needed to suit technical analysis

Don’t trust all these predictions, they are never correct. When price shows a little sign of increase you will start seeing them coming in with predictions that price will rise 90%, but if that doesn’t happen and you see price falling down instead of going up as they predicted, they will change the topic to telling you that rice will fall 90%. What these people do is just to confuse people and if you keep on with them it’s going to be a big failure.

I think this has a point where many projects and new ICOs are scam, sometimes because the new project and ICO cannot survive the current market conditions which continue to decline. I assume that crypto will experience maturity and that those who cannot survive will die automatically. when this hard correction continues, the next crypto will soar and only the best will survive

Yeah it is right cryptocurrency market is suffering from great correction. The price fluctuates on daily and even hourly basis. But I think it is also good for crypto traders because they can make handsome profits from these corrections. In these days I think the price is quite good and there is nothing wrong with the price. I don’t usually take what analysts have to say sometimes, but whatever… I think they are aright, maybe due to the ETF, so the price will remain low for now.
