It's all up to people and miners.

The more miners prefer X coin, the more value will go up.

Just follow the markets, You'll see what's going to explode, soon.

Good luck this time.

People who missed the boat on buying cheap Quark conclude that means Quark is a Scam...therefore since Litecoin was once cheap and plentiful and I didn't buy it that means by the same thought process that Litecoin is also a scamcoin.

SCAM

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1  LITECOIN is SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

<sarcasm>

Yes bitcoin price pulls altcoin prices up but the recent alt coin boom is because many newcomers think of altcoins as cheap while they think that bitcoin is to expensive already.

Makes you wonder how somebody can really find out the future strength of these alt coins . . . for example, which 4 or 5 actually stand a chance of becoming the next Litecoin even?

I don't even like to think about how many thousands of LTC I traded for silver.    :o

Sure, silver will go to the moon some day.  Hopefully all the way up to the ~$30k/oz I effectively bought it for.   :D

But until then, I know exactly how Million Dollar Pizza guy feels (only without his compensatory fame/notoriety/pity donations).

The worst part is that smoothie is now richer than me!   :-[   >:(   :P

I bought in the pennies so I was pleased with .60, $5, and still have some left. But still, damn.

The best candidates so far are primecoin, ppcoin and namecoin. Of course there might be better speculation opportunities around but those 3 look pretty solid so far.

I believe that MasterCoin, NeXTcoin and MC2(when released) are the only ones worth. Invest in them without fear.. also send me a tip when you're bathed in riches :)

I agree about Mastercoin. Great project with advanced coders.

Also take a look in Qora and Sim. Great potential.

Please don't spread bullshit.

Primecoin's only purpose is something that frankly outside the scientific/math departments, no one else cares about. It simply finds prime numbers, big whup.

Peercoin may be the best best out of those 3 you listed, but it's dead with a shriveling community, and would probably never reach as high as litecoin did.

Namecoin again is a failure. It's decentralized Domain name feature will never work, decentalization does not work with everything. For EX: There are people squatting domain names like microsoft.bit, apple.bit, and theres no way to enforce copyrights if you own a name(like microsoft etc). Basically, namecoin is controlled by squatters and theres nothing we can do about it. Stick to ICANN.
