Last line of the article says "Another web-based service, called UnoCoin, where people buy and sell bitcoins, will be launched in two weeks by Coinmonk, which is pioneering the global conference on bitcoins".

So is the Coinmonk starting the site for us to trade with INR? Any idea what is the meaning of that line?

They are starting a similar business to buysellbitco.in

Looks like  coin monk is  Falsely  advertising Benson Samuel name to  make  a buck.

What a  bunch of  scam artist.

I just  had to do this.
Regardless if they  were  just  doing  a trial. Putting up  a  testimonial without  that person  actually  a being  able to  signup for that service. Its  cold. Way to  cold.

They good guys.. Prolly did not get the essence of what i was trying to achieve.

But http://www.meetup.com/Bangalore-Bitcoin-Creativity-Crew/ has been born to realign some misconceptions, ex.. Bitcoin is a sure-shot money maker/ investment organ.

Unocoin is running on trial basis. Strict buying and selling limits are applied to all user accounts.

So the site has not yet started functioning. Also is this backed by some company or by individual person?

Run by coinmonk.com and unocoin together, i think.

What I meant was that its not functioning fully. As per them they will be taking two more weeks to start full fledged.

Also you would have a better idea on this as you are on their frontpage too .  :P

Btw with the ban on chinese payment gateways and the recent crash.. do you see btc coming backup again.?

Of course. It will definitely resurface.
This is a bad move as it will drive the market in China into a cash only space and this is the shady environment that we needed to keep Bitcoin out of.
For as long as it can maintain its security, there is a nice mass that has already gathered to ensure that its value sustains.

Let us not forget that India is trading some decent volume of Bitcoin as well. We have not yet started to sway the global market as there is no fixed 'indian' exchange, unless INRBTC decides to be the market maker out here as he has order book capabilities on his website.

Would be good to see if Dabur and buttercoin could works something out to bring this to light.

Another thing has anybody traded with the site, how the experience if yes?
Also, the site states that strict buying and selling rules applies? What the limit currently anybody?

Just  use INRBTC its a better  choice if you want to trade  according to your  own rules. otherwise  you can always  use buysellbitcoin.in for emergency purchase.

True, but lets see what is in store with Unocoin.com for the bitcoiners. It seems nobody has used their services also I tried to email them to check out, but getting the error message that 'The receipent server did not accept the request'

So still doubtful if they have actually even started their service currently.
