If what is the cause of war or natural disasters that the Internet around the world is destroyed then the crypto copper will look like? Can restore them after restoring infrastructure?

Definitely crypto will down if that happen. The word online digital money and how we going online? Through internet so crypto might fall but dont think like that even way happend only certain country will affected. Well this might cause small damage in circulating crypto and economy itself. Even one country get damaged and stop all traders and investor will decrese volume of our world currency

For sure blockchain will stop but the coins that has been stored in a cold wallet will not be harmed so by the time the internet and blockchain restored you'll still have your coin with you ;).

If the internet is destroyed then cryptos will actually be destroyed along with it because there would be no way for us to access our coins seeing as everything is being done on the internet. Now that I think about it, that is one of the ways to destroy crypto forever because if the internet does not exist anymore then everything that is on the internet would not exist anymore.

Cryptos is the money of internet, so without it, there is no money.
However supposing that a big war would split the world and the internet into two separate parts, cryptos would probably develop also separate with two different blockchains with the same name.
The problem would be after the war and I believe the current system (of alts) is not ready to decide which part would be the genuine one (and reject the other part). So a hard fork could be a solution.

Yes you can restore all your money whenever there is network access because all the information of our coins are recorded in blockchain if we can able to secure our private key while that natural disaster then you are free to go to have your cryptos back.

The "internet" doesn't exist in a certain place, it is the most vastly interconnected system in the world.
In order for the entire internet to be destroyed, that would be a global catastrophe.

That is why I just laugh when skeptics ask me, "So what will you do with your crypto if the internet goes down" or "How much does your crypto weigh? It's not even real!"

Blockchain technology is distributed through nodes scattered accross the world, it is open source and anyone can get in.
That's why it is insanely difficult for it to "die".

Just take a look at the thousands of coins out there.  Even the most remote coins have people mining them and running nodes.
And then there are coins that literally died and then someone came in and started running it later and the community grew.

So, yeah, crypto ain't ever gonna die.

I think it is not totally destroy because internet connection can be fix. Blockchain only needs to sync and it will go live again. One thing that internet might get destroy is a world war and I believe world war will stop one way or another.

Difinitely cryptocurrency business automatically shutdown when internet destroyed, but it is a very hard scenario, because we are now on a high developed technology system, and the internet system also performs as a heart of every business, therefore it is supported by a strong foundation in order to avoid any corrupted connections to every business and most especially on this cryptocurrency business.

That means anyone can join the Bitcoin network, even without a high-speed internet connection. With satellite connection, any computer anywhere in the world can join the Bitcoin network without the need for an internet connection. Future whether crypto will need the Internet or will it be another type of protocol?

i would agree on the argument that crypto will not longer exist, as they are very dependent from the internet, as well as the world. so, this is not going to happen.

In my own point of view, cryptocurrencies will actually fall down, if it is only natural disasters maybe they could restore everything the way that should be, but if it is about war maybe restoring them will take a long time because people rather save their lives than earning bitcoin or cryptocurrencies.

At first internet connection never can be totally destroyed and if some error occurs than it can be fixed. Without this, whenever you will get network you can access because the information of your coins are recorded in block chain. So, your coins will be secure if it occurs.

That is not a very realistic question, even though it is highly unlikely i think there will be some alternative way present to keep the internet up as it is the basic way of communication and information at the moment.

You are right. If all the internet breaks down, BTC crypto operation will be off. Even can you imagine what will happen to the world. But yes, after recovery of internet it can be restored and normal operation can be done.

It will depend on what destroyed the Internet infrastructure in the first place, after all the Internet was created to be very resistant even to nuclear attacks, so if the Internet is destroyed then that means that something way bigger than that has happened and at that point I'm not so sure that we will be able to restore the Internet in a fast way and if anyone is going to care about restoring cryptocurrencies.

Crypto will go down if that happens. If there is no internet, there can not be any btcBTC.  Restoring the infrastructure would be a tough issue to deal with.

Lots of business and sectors who uses internet will finally gets into oblivion, they will not work properly or cannot work at all. It's like blockchain where it is connected in every computer who are using internet for transferring, and working of any other currencies. Well common sense.

This is 100% impossible to happen. But if it would happen, then the crypto market will cease to exist until the internet recovers , as it's dependent on the internet in order to function.

There crypto currency won't work if internet gets destroyed. Though, I hardly see any chance of it. But, in this new era people can't live without internet. Well said, another thing is the probability of the internet shut down which is very low. At present each and everything is connected with internet in one form or the other. Such a situation without internet connectivity never prevails. Even if this happens, it is a big disaster to everything.

Internet and crypto are inseparable. the Internet is dead then the crypto will not be accessible and certainly will also be destroyed. that's why if it does not happen then the internet makes thrive the more advanced crypto and getting bigger. Of course you can, because all data will be stored on servers. At least one version of the blockchain will be enough to restore the entire network. (unless, of course, this one version replaces the data); )

That is really a absurd situation you are talking about. I see no chances of internet being destroyed . If this happens then cryptocurrency will not work as it is totally dependent on network. But if this happens then not only cryptos but many more sectors will stop.

Let's be optimistic and not otherwise. Always hope for the good thing to happen. If war is inevitable, no one can predict the aftermath. Not only would the crypto be destroyed but also the fiat currency.

We all know this thing that all the crypto currencies work and operate based on an internet connection and that without an internet connection, there is nothing good which we can do even if we have lot of crypto coins in our wallet. Everything will just be useless without an internet connectivity as you need to have an internet to perform any kind of transaction or to do any other thing related to that of the crypto currencies.

I agree with you. What kind of a stupid question is this? Is op even serious? This is obviously something which might never happen since this is the internet we are talking about. If there is a problem related to internet services, it can be rectified immediately. This situation is not plausible at all. I feel this can happen only if the entire world gets plunged into chaos due to world war 3, but people will still figure out a way to reactivate internet services. Have already seen this time and again in the past. Stop asking such silly questions and focus on asking better questions in the future op.

Without Internet crypto won't be working at all, the crypto without transaction volume will be like a dead coin, if the internet only dead in one country then the problem wont be too big, the effect will be the price down momentarily, but if all Internet in the world dead then even after the restoration people will think twice before invest again

It’s a disaster if its happen only because of war or the movie like 2012 (natural disaster) happen then it can be happen or else its probability is very low So we all know if its happen all the internet service will collapse so this system will also down. Though it’s a digital money it will be problematic but btc will take this issues very carefully they should make storage or any other options but it’s quite impossible.

It would be huge disaster for whole world but nothing threatens to crypto cooper. You can hold you currencies on hard wallets.

If by instance internet was destroyed by a disaster like natural calamities, for sure electricity will be shut down and Cryptocurrency transaction will all be cancelled by that time and there is nothing we can do about it. The only thing we can do for such disasters is to wait for everything to go back to normal. Just make sure you and your family is safe because that's the most important thing.

The users who are affected by that disasters will not be able to access their coins unless the internet is restored. There are also possible problems that the cryptocurrency holders may encounter if the internet is finally restored, like lost passwords, hacking and inaccessible sites. Restoring the internet after a disaster will take time because of the damaged infrastructures and that may also affect the the quality of the internet.

If that will happen then the transactions of all crypto will be stop. As all we know crypto is blockchain and without internet it can't be done. But for sure if internet will be restore it will be restored too. Data of it not stored in the net but stored in many nodes.

An outbreak of war can not destroy the internet. It can only disrupt it. The internet is not a physical presence. It is an intellectual software. Only the hardware components can get touched by bombs and guns. I do not want to imagine what can happen if the Internet is destroyed because that will be taking the world back to the Stone age.

If you save Bitcoin in your hardware wallet, it might all be safe.
As long as your wallet hardware is not destroyed, and the Bitcoin stored in the inline wallet needs time to restore it.

If it is like that, then I think cryptocurrency will drop the price and many Wallet crypotucrencies will switch to wallet hardware.
