Title: One post per 360 second limit
Post by: Mortimer452 on December 17, 2013, 07:22:26 AM
OK, I read the newbie readme but still don't understand if/when the "only one post per 360 seconds" limit can be removed.  Kinda sucks waiting 6 minutes between posts.

It will no longer be 360 seconds but 75 seconds, when you reach member status.

I was looking for that as well. I think it might be something like 10 posts before you are considered a Jr Member because you can put links in your signature.

Not that long, you've just got to patiently bide your time / put in a bit of work and then it's worth it. I'm down to less than a minute posting time now. the 360 second rule is tedious and annoying though, but it's there for a reason.

I had a strange thing happen where the limit kicked in on my very first post? Is there a signup waiting limit too? Then when I tried to repost it said I had already posted but it never show up. Odd.  ???

Log ins, searches and attempted posts are counted. You need to wait the full 6 minutes to reset the limit. It may also possibly be a bug, as it only happens to newbs, but the former is more likely.

I think that I had a post disappear on me a couple of times as well. It seems that the fix for this would be to wait the full 6 minutes before even attempting to post again.

Maybe a moderator deleted it?

I guess that is possible but it seemed to happen when I didn't wait the six minutes and there was a message afterwards saying I have already posted it. I think it might be a glitch.

If you posted the message successfully it would've just taken you back to the message or forum.

Hi.  I would like to start posting.  The lower time is great.

I think that if you spend a couple of weeks posting once or twice a day. You will get that lower time per post.

I have read the post above that the limit will be down to 75seconds after 15 activity.
But still, it is really annoying as a newbie :(
