I hope I am posting in the right section. I was wondering why releasing the source code of a crypto coin is a good idea. Wouldn't this allow for bugs or 'hacks' in the system? Thanks If you rely on secrecy about your security measures, then chances are those security measures aren't that solid. A good system should be able to handle a potential attacker knowing all its details.
