This prediction is flying in the industry just after the consensus. I am not sure what is making people to think in this way. It is only a few days when btc is falling but eth is rising. I think if so happen, we need to wait a long time to see this in future.

i think this predictions is very reasonable, because a lot of tokens created on ethereum blockchain now,,
and i heard ethereum is the next internet  ;)

I agree Ethereum is fast gaining popularity in the crypto industry, but they are still half of Bitcoin's volume, I cannot speak for the future, but I guess they are heading to greatness because the majority of the companies prefer their platform to launch their own smart contract.

It's funny why people still mention anything Wozniak says, when he clearly is a great engineer, but a bad investor and businessman. I have seen him in events, and he is still living of his "Apple co-founder" status when he sold his stake in that company long time ago, before it started to shine.

I do not think that he is an expert in crypto-currencies. So his opinion is not competent. However, he is influential and famous person and his opinion as a supporter of crypto is very useful.

Saw this article yesterday.  It'll be interesting to see how EOS and Etherium are handled in the market as there seem to be two camps for a blockchain platform to build different solutions and tokens on.  It seems like there's enough Ethereum support or endorsements from corporations and security exchanges like Polymath to keep it around for the long haul.

If you are seeing how many members on EEA right now and how many icos and crypto projects are using it as the main pegged network to the majority of them and steve looks true to say that if ethereum has a very big influence. It needs doubled for ethereum to take the bitcoin place. it may happen after casper pos i suppose.

 I totally agree with him. Ethereum made a huge progress in market in so little time. It had previously some scalability issues. But Ethereum overcame it and is again making a good progress.

The Co- founder of apple Steve Wozniak think that Ethereum has value and more potentiality but he should think about the value of the bitcoin because bit has the best market value and this price will crease double and many country and traders accept this system so Apple should think about this .

Thats really amazing, he mentioned that Ethereum could be "Apple of Cryptocurrency". However this should be taken as serious one and we must spread the goodness of this statement everywhere. These are kinds of supporters we need for crypto currency so that it can sustain for long time and can keep growing in value in bold ways.

I couldn't disagree on Apple co-founder as mentioned that, " Internet requires its own currency and that can be any crypto which suits for it".

Those are really strong words for the crypto currencies and it will surely affect market in positive ways.

I feel so, it's because ethereum which until now has a relatively stable haga even though most of altcoin is in a storm. not without decline but because ethereum many users may be what drives the demand for ethereum

Most current ICOs use Ethereum and all need Eth to operate to handle gas prices. If Ethereum system finds a way to get rid of scam projects with DAOICO, I believe it can reach $2K. The other obstacle, sometimes Eth system can not handle large number of tx. It should be also solved. If not, I don't think so it will dominate more.

If you've been around what's all happening in the crypto space you would notice that this is not the only thing because of which we can see market to pump. Anyway I don't really see ethereum to be there because of this EOS because if EOS deliver what they are talking about I am sure EOS can overtake ethereum it is as simple as that. Starting by ICO on ethereum as a token and then beating ETH on its knees because truly it offers more advanced features and if ethereum wants to stay in the game they will have to keep innovativing new stuff.

there is more and more good news and talk about ethereum. so bitcoin has to be careful not to be displaced by ethereum.

Most of these opinions are as volatile as the crypto market, because nothing seems to stick, except the name and fame.

main thing is cryptos are very advanced thing, any advanced person or a parson want's to see the better future would definitely supporet it. it feels really good when people like Steve Wozniak open up about their positive mind set towards Cryptocurrency.

Most new cryptos are based on the ERC 20 system so it is possible. It is fantastic that someone 'mainstream' like Steve is backing crypto shows how promising the future is as more and more people become involved

I understand and support this opinion. It is strange that the statement of such an authoritative person did not lead to an increase in the rate of this coin.

I'm loving ethereum these days. It is developing a lot! People are also considering it to get invested. Even many people have shifted from different altcoins to ethereum. The price of ethereum is also increasing. Good going ethereum!

The reason why I think that dream would be difficult to achieve is because,  the market is saturated, so many platform better than ethereum with lower market cap.

Yeah I agree, this will happen soon and no doubt the adoption of smart contract will grow more in the next few years. A good news to all holders of Ethereum as they will be benefited with the growth of Ethereum.

That's a good news for ETH and was nice reading this article, although it is just his wish and his thoughts, at the end of the day market decides what will lead and what will not! I myself prefer to invest in ETH too as it is much cheaper then bitcoin and transactions much faster! Well we have to be patient and see what happens in the future

Ethereum is currently the second largest crypto and is developing very fast. The technology used by Eth is way better than many other crypto so it is logical that Steve expects it to dominate the crypto market and develop beyond all. There is high probability of this to happen.

So really, Apple and ETX can be compared to success. But it seems to me that these are quite different companies that need not be compared.

This is really no surprise. Eth will become big this year. Ot was said that 2018 will be the year for the alts. I think this will be the year for eth. Its not that eth will overtake bitcoin, but for sure eth will become big. It showed its strength now that after the market falls, it managed to grow stronger. being believed by apple to become great is a big plus on eth. Apple has a lot of supporters. Knowing its stand in the world, it will really bring more people to invest in eth.

It is really great news, I believe Eth has that potentiality to be the leader in the crypto industry, But to be there it has to travel a long way.

btc will remain the reserve currency for the near to mid term

then again no persons opinion really matters much, something new could blow them both away but again nothing on the horizon of any note

market cap of course can be manipulated easily but REAL investment and REAL adoption sees btc way ahead of the pack

Having read the article, I have seen that Wozniak considers that Ethereum will have a relevance similar to that of Apple, I don't know if he had said literally that Ethereum will dominate the world of cryptocurrencies or is a conclusion of the person who wrote the article. Be that as it may, things have to be analyzed with perspective. It's clear that Ethereum has a very important role in the cryptos being also the fuel of most ICOs, it's true that there are very important institutions, including some banks, interested in their technology, and it's true that it has many possibilities, but that Ethereum comes to dominate over Bitcoin and that it becomes more important than Bitcoin seems to me to be impossible

I used to be a hater and perhaps even apathetic to Ethereum. This was back when the DAO was exploited and everybody decided to make a bailout for themselves. I believe that was even before their token innovation, but now seeing how the token innovation has increased the cryptocurrency space by a large margin I have pretty good feelings towards Ethereum. It does have potential to get even bigger, but this token platform addition alone was massive.

Wow! This is a great news to everyone. I think his prediction is very necessary especially at this time when crypto is going red. As more experts are showing interest, we are indeed in good times ahead.

And I do think he's right, ETH has great tech behind it and I think it can skyrocket for sure.

I don't think ETH can dominate the cryptocurrency. I don't think this is possible. BTC is the owner of the cryptocurrency. If you say ETH has this ability. The current cryptocurrency will become worthless. ETH is just a porter. He cannot exceed the value of BTC. The porter is important, but what is he carrying? Cryptocurrency? But often BTC is now equal to the value of the cryptocurrency.

I agree with apple co - founder Steve Wozniak that ETH has the limitless possibility that in fact, in recent years, ETH has seized a large share of the encrypted market, and at least the future Ethereum will be the master.

Bitcoin will remain to be the leader in the crypto industry.
Better use the term leader of the crypto market rather than using the word "owner".

Yes, ethereum has that capacity and potential. Ethereum will always lead on technologies. All tech companies are trying to learn from ethereum. So Apple co-founder is right.

Bitcoin may be the future of the currency and ETH is the future of the internet no doubt about the smart contracts, its adoption, and innovation in the future of our internet would be revolutionary, but the domination must stay on the top 2, bitcoin is still the number one cryptocurrency given by its established community over time.

the scene will be dominated by whoever will perform best on smart contracts/icos/dAPPs..
so in the near future it'll be a fight between eth and EOS

I don't see Ethereum being as dominant as Bitcoin, the ridiculous thing here is that Ethereum is valued in billions of USD already with no useful Dapps on the platform, if it turns out to be the world computer that it was designed to be then it could dominate the space but if not then we you are dreaming
