[WHAT IS Łitecoin BLACK?]

Łitecoin Black is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and open source software project released by a group of crypto miners, fans, gamers and developers.

Creation & transfer of coins are based on an open source cryptographic protocol and is not managed by any central authority. While inspired by, and is technically nearly identical to Łitecoin (LTC), Łitecoin Black has some technical improvements over Łitecoin.

Łitecoin Black also has a near zero payment cost and facilitates payments approximately four times faster than Bitcoin.

The Łitecoin Black project was launched on May 10th 2018 @ 03:02:42 EST when the first block was mined, community mining then began for 20+ dedicated members to block 4000 worth 400,000 LTCB using CPU / GPU & Small ASICs to ensure that Łitecoin Black was ready for public release.

The Łitecoin Black blockchain is a fork of Łitecoin and was launched without an Initial Coin Offering (ICO), high pre-mine (1%), or pre-allocation of funds.
With only a small initial pool of funds to draw from, and pay development expenses, Łitecoin Black is and will continue to be a favorite to its developers and dedicated community members.

Nothing is ASIC resistant now a days - Eth and Equihash now have ASICs and they swore it was safe from them

I see the project team consists of a group of miners, fans, gamers and developers. There is a full range of market participants in the project. No mention of the specific credentials and experience of the team.
The project gives the purpose of the great Łitecoin Black coin. I think that goal becomes a reality, this currency will have a major advantage in the race of electronic money to find the only winner in the future worldwide. In order to achieve the objectives of the project, it is necessary to have specific and superior solutions. I want to find out about that?

Yes, the website is made using a forum plugin (Simple Portal) , I don't see how you can't find stuff when the main information is displayed on the front page and all the links are on the left.

We chose this type of website because it will be very easy to update information and add additional plugins

After Litecoin, LitecoinZ, Litecoin Cash, Litecoin White, now we have a new 'Litecoin-prefix' coin, namely Litecoin Black, which use Scrypt algorithm, too.
So, my question is which specifications will make Litecoin Black different and competitive with all current Litecoin-prefix coins?
thanks for your time to answer my questions and more details about your project, devs.

1.) Dev Team - we aren't going to just drop the project - like how Mr. Lee went on the news then sold his share after the price raised.
2.) Much faster transactions without bottle-necking
3.) The ability to mine using older equipment (for right now)
4.) Community - most are from other projects that joined together and have known each other for years
5.) Community (again) - consists of a wide range not only crypto related but also gamers and people just starting out with crypto
(community is everything when it comes to crypto without them its an unsolved equation) <-- I'm copy righting that
6.) More reliable blockchain - 5,500 blocks completed with over 300+ miners - no orphan or errors

I believe it's better to be involved with a prefix coin than a meme coin any day

It will be near the end of the month - we don't want to release a date but keep it random so not everyone starts mining to gain a free airdrop

If you have a desktop or laptop computer, then you have the mining tools. You can start mining any of these new coins today.

Even if you just have a smartphone, you could technically start mining right now. Not going to be some huge payout, but if you only mine brand new low diff coins like this one, then you will see at least a few in your wallet eventually.

Also, there is the LTCB casino, where you get 100 LTCB free to start with.

If you need help, feel free to send me a direct message. I usually only check this forum once a day, if that though.

Litecoin Black is a crypto-currency so of course its focus is on mining

LTCB's difficulty is still low enough to GPU mine - 1+ LTCB per hour with a GTX 1070 (for reference)

Very surprised by the launch of your project. The old algorithm and mining makes sense only on specialized ASIC-devices. I did not see any significant advantages over the existing coins. Do you hope to develop the project at 1% premium? In my opinion, it will be very, very difficult. Indeed, at present, the mainstream is to combat the use of ASIC-devices when mining coins

Bitmain and other companies will continue to make ASICs for every single algo, there's no stopping ASICs, even if a coin's dev team forks to block the ASIC a firmware update would be released to get the ASIC working again, also if a coin's dev team does fork to block out an ASIC is the coin even still considered decentralized, its better to adapt to existing hardware, scrypt ASICs can be bought for a few $100s now so practically anyone can buy or rent them.

a GTX 1070 mines around 1 coin per hour as of right now, so in 24 hours it would mine 24 + or - LTCB

Yeah, Litecoin Black's transactions process faster, cheaper fees and wont freeze the blockchain causing a delay

How do you prevent the bottle-necking from happening if in theory millions of users start using your protocol?

Litecoin's Difficulty re-target time is 3 days / 72 hours - would take a long time for their diff to adjust if a lot of miners left causing a bottle-neck in transactions

Litecoin Black's Difficulty re-target time is 10 minutes - would only take 5 blocks to adjust, allowing the blockchain to keep processing transactions

If you look at the 1st page of this thread @overlordcoin mentioned the DIFF going through the roof, a couple minutes later everything re-adjusted and was running smooth again

DIFF just went to the roof....

Sure about the difficulty re-target issue, but in general there are limits to blockchain capacity. There can only be so many transactions in a block as of today and yet projects advertise to scale beyond the sky.

This isn't welcoming view after month of mining:
https://i.imgur.com/xeepHRv.jpg

You released the web wallet at ltcbwallet.com and it was up for many weeks and then you shut it down mere 3 days after posting brief notice on discord, neglecting this huge forum and this dedicated thread altogether. I've been mining on the web wallet for an entire month and now what? I trusted in this coin, is all of my and other miners' effort wasted?

Information about online wallet cancellation should've been up with week+ notice or at the very least posted in the first place people find out about this coin - this thread. This is really disrespectful to those who invest time and resources in new and promising currencies. Is there any way to get those coins back now? Or do you just absorb them for yourself?

piWallet is an unsecured / still in development (web wallet) - we had a disclaimer on ltcbwallet.com stating "To use this wallet at your own risk, no wallet private keys are included".

Litecoin Black will be a month old on June 18th - the web wallet was created 2 weeks after launching so you couldn't have been mining on the web wallet for an entire month.

3 days shut down notice should have been ample time in our Discord channel - I along with many other people check discord more often than the Bitcointalk thread - some crypto currencies shut down things with zero notice, just look at what coinsmarkets did and stole 1,000s of dollars.

Is the Litecoin Black another hard fork from the Litecoin itself? Or it is the new coin which just based on the Litecoin's aalgorithm and infrastructure? I am a little bit confuse about the coin right now as many coins are doing the fork just to fool someone else and earn money from them......
I hope you are not one of them...

Litecoin Black isn't a fork, it's a clone of Litecoin's Algorithm  :)

No ICO, and as for the white paper it's basically identical to Litecoin but Litecoin Black has 30 second faster blocks, 4x the max supply of coins, 10 Minute Difficulty re-target instead of 3 days

Ill let Charlie Lee explain lol https://youtu.be/U2KP8koYC3s?t=9m17s

So, I am curious which changes will make Litecoin Black better than Litecoin.
Which characteristics and potential services that Litecoin Black can bring to community?

This has been asked and answered many times - check out the other posts - our debit card will be a big step over all the other altcoins

The translation took about 1 hour. There are 8 confirmations in the exchanger. Very slowly extracted blocks, in one period the wallet even stopped synchronizing, could not find the block more than 2 hours.

You have used debit card as marketing tool by mentioning it at the start of project that's why it will remain primary topic for most questions. Has there anything being revealed who is the credit union as it will make soon two months since the coin started production under mining. If card is just an idea for Q1 and Q2 next year why it has been thrown without information.

We mentioned the debit card at the beginning of the project but did not officially release any information about it till now.

The reason we are keeping the credit union hidden is because it's a family owned localized bank (1 branch), they are following the crypto-currency tax laws until next year (official debit card release) to ensure they remain compliant and not break any laws for supporting crypto-currency

Greetings!
I hope this project will be advance and can be achieved the hard cap of ICO.

Litecoin Black is not taking part in any ICO.

If anyone is solo mining LTCB think about joining our official pool @ clutzykid.com the fee is only 0.5%, i think solo mining is causing our block time to be higher, if we all pool mine our block time can lower back to the 2 minutes its supposed to be at and receive payouts and transfers much faster

They aren't bot bots but just people using the exchange's trading API putting low buy orders and real people are selling their coins cheap.

That is also a possibility but bot trading has become very common these days. It is not only manual users using the API. If someone has a good bot that can be a very profitable business.

Just a quick question for the devs... you mention someone aunt knows the "owner" of a credit union... but credit unions are not singularly owned. They are member-owned institutions and there is not a a single or large controlling shareholder usually. So that bit of information doesn't seem accurate.

Can you explain in clearer detail, please?

The credit union is an investment firm not a physical banking institution.

We are canceling the debit card plans anyways,  pre-orders have been out for almost a month and only 3 people have pre-ordered (funds have already been returned)

We will continue development with more ideas and different approaches to improving Litecoin Black and maybe look back at a debit card option in the future.

There's an investment firm called "The Credit Union"? Who are these people? I'm confused. How is an investment firm going to issue debit cards without a bank attached? All cards have to be issued by a financial institution with a license with Visa or MasterCard.

I'm not trying to bust your balls... but some of this sounds like bullshit. Transparency, honesty, and absolute details are what makes or breaks success in this realm. If you're only telling half the story... you're leaving too much to the imagination. And in a realm where scammers are at every friggin' corner, leaving ANYTHING to the imagination is stupid, to put it mildly.

"The Credit Union" is not the name of the investment firm, we weren't going to release any information about the credit union's name, etc... until the debit card was officially released since they are a small local firm and has to follow the tax laws regarding crypto.  The investment firm (credit union) does have a license with Visa, they issue out cards to their investment account holders

But like I said in the other post, since the community showed low interest in the debit card we will be exploring new development possibilities, so you don't have to worry about a scam here, the few community members that did pre-order the card has already received a refund

The price is very low for a coin
https://crex24.com/ru/exchange/LTCB-BTC

That's because someone has been dumping and also trade bots are selling low

The market has to reach at least $0.01 before the Credit Union allows for Debit Card Pre-Orders

The market has not yet reached $0.01, even fell even lower. ???

The market did get close to $0.01 at one point but there's still a lot of trade bots controlling the market keeping the price low.

The credit union has allowed us to open for pre-orders just for 100 cards
Now while 0,03 price per LCC coin. But I still think trust experienced and perhaps if the price reaches 0.01 then I also think to buy LCC coins for your luck. It just became interesting to see an interesting graph.

Fair enough. Thanks for the additional info. For future reference... you should strive for better transparency and completely honesty. If you were trying to protect the investment firm, say that... without calling it something its not, and setting off alarm bells. If you want people to trust you... you have to work in a glass office. In this space... there's no room for ambiguity.

Kudos for quickly refunding the money to folks.

We are still working on future features for Litecoin Black, we did just release a more easier/simple website.

The current project we are working on is allowing renting of Windows & Linux VPS/Servers using Litecoin Black

also

Purchasing website hits/views with Litecoin Black for website owners that want more visits.

Updates will be posted here, in our discord, and on our website when more information is ready

I think that is kind of typical not to mention BTC dropping 50% recently. There is supposed to be some new developments with ltcb soon so things should get better imho. In the past, if a coin is worth a nikkel the first year it is doing fairly well...

Mining has Stopped / Slowed down so blocks aren't processing causing Crex24's wallet and probably everyone else's wallet to go into maintenance mode.

Post by: LTCB-Team on January 13, 2019, 07:13:43 PM
If mining doesn't pick up and blocks start rolling again Crex24 will eventually delist Litecoin Black, if delisting does happen we will shut down all servers (websites, explorers, nodes and alert pool owners to take LTCB down).

Our Dev team and Supporters will then start working on improvements and new implementations for Litecoin Black and relaunch at a later date possibly under a different name

Almost all fork coins are scam no need to buy them I learned this lesson from BTCP so after I just keep selling whenever I had free coins through any kind of fork. Now it is clear scam but so many people will learn lesson after this loss.
