I'm currently using it, and it worked out great until I had to compile the wallet for Windows, though I think I'll get it solved here soon (I just posted a new thread). It goes into great detail how to create the genesis block and what you need to do to start mining your new coin. I know it's redundant to my above post, but it really is worth taking a look it. :P
