We are still in the bear market I believe. But what I see and observe is that some traders are taking advantage of the market dip which makes them profitable also. I guess bear mode is important because the market needs to go through a cycle and bear cannot be avoided.

We need bears and bulls. Good trader can profit on each markets.

Market also needs bears and bulls one by one. Longer bulls without bears means bigger bear waiting around the corner.

As long as it's not caused by the bad news and it will be fine at all and bear market can be considered as another opportunity to buy cheap coin and then sell them all when they are all getting another bounce in the future. But the bear market that has created caused by bad news is really bad to the crypto.

It's like a must, there must be both a white and a dark spot on the market. Therefore, each of us needs to approximately determine the bear market so as not to incur huge losses that the next bull market can not compensate for. Well, or look for other ways of investing.

This is where the experienced traders get rich and the newbies complain about their losses. The bear market is the best time to buy, everything is low and you can pick all the good coins. When the bull market returns, newbies start to buy while traders just cash in their profits.

Bear is something expected like bull market, I would not call it good or bad but it is part of cycle, if you bought at ath when it is bull market, then bear market is bad for you for sure.

You're right, a bear market is definitely good for the market. If the price keeps going up, there's no downside, no volatility, no profit! So there are a lot of flexible people in the market who are taking advantage of falling prices to make a profit! Let's think about it another way. Many people can take advantage of the current low price to buy a lot of tokens, and then wait for the market to recover and sell their profits!

Of course, it more or less promotes the market system, and the cryptocurrency, though not a little but develops this and affects the prices of different coins of crypto-currencies.

That is truth mate. But all the timing traders view will not be successful to get the profit bro. Some when the bitcoin shows slight bump they just go invest on them but with in some hours again it will fall back. That kind of situation is really worst while investing on the any coin.

Every rise should have a fall. All the high should be corrected. That is needed for the market. Think of a market without the bear part? Always win? So who will loose?

It is a cure for extremely rising irrational hyped market so it is really good, and it also eliminate weak hands, who are mostly saying lambo etc. but too long bear market is not said to be good.

I don't mind about the bear market, actually mostly newcomers think than crypto always only grow, but that's not true we need to have full market circle grow and fall.

It's good and very normal so that those people who are calling the crypto market as a bubble, they'll witness that it's not just only going up.

A market that is a bubble, there's no depreciation or negative charts and it only means for them a continuous profit so if they'll see that the market is collapsing, they might have doubt that crypto's are bubble.

It is not good at all, it is only good to a few people because they can buy bitcoin/altcoins at a cheaper price, that is the only reason of why i would consider it as a good opportunity for some people, but what about the rest? they all are losing money because of it.

But we already went into bear mode a few months back, I don't think we are slipping into it now. It could be a mini slide but I wouldn't call it bear for sure, I am supremely positive yet we are primed for a huge bull run.

Shorting bitcoin is probably one of the most dangerous moves that you can do in this market, I know that is a very legitimate strategy in some other markets but in bitcoin that is something that I will never do, if you short bitcoin and suddenly the price skyrockets then you could lose all your money before you even have a chance to react and that is never a good thing.

Long time down trend is not that good man. Corrections are ok but bearish period like what happened during the first quarter is such a big NO NO. All of loss a lot of amount. Some of our investments gained what they loss and some did not. You can buy coins in a cheaper price but what we all need is the bullish period that will give us a lot of fortune.

Bear markets are bad for hodlers who don't have time to day trade, but it's good for seasoned investors to pick up on some cheap coins and will profit when the bull market returns. The problem is that 2018 has too many bear markets, quite depressing..

The harsh reality is that not everyone can keep getting rich all the time. There have to be ups and downs. Market cannot go in one direction always. This is also important because otherwise people won't panic sell and how will others who have patience make money.
Hence, bearish market is important. But, if marker keeps falling on daily basis, then that obviously sends a negative sentiment throughout. I hope this run ends soon.

No, I don't really think so. It is sad to see market fall like this when all of your investments are reducing by almost 50%. I hate this part of the market. I wish it was not as badly controlled by the major players and the smaller ones too were given a better chance to make money. That is a shame but there is nothing that I can do about it, those people decided to invest in bitcoin when the price was very high despite the fact that any person with common sense will have known that at that moment the price was unsustainable, no one knew exactly at what moment the bubble was going to pop but we knew it was going to pop so they are responsible for their losses.

I agree with you exactly as you say these are correct determinations that prices for a long term plan have to fall in a certain level and rise.

Without bear market it is impossible to buy the coins when it is at dips, yes buying low will always makes you money. But people who buy at high price will always wait until the price start increasing.

The exponential growth during this autumn was crazy and it was not good for the health of the market, many newbies got into it and were burned by the huge losses of february, some coins lost even the 90%! now i think that the market is stabilizing on a lower ground but it's still way more higher than the level of the market during this period of the past year, after this slow decrease i think that the market will start again his growth to new all time high level of capitalization

I think it has been necessary for the market to calm over the last few months to take itself out of the public eye and sort out the many infrastructure problems and scaling issues that it still has. I don't really know if having been into a bearish trend is good to the market as it might shaken the faith of other crypto traders to just sell off their cryptoholdings as the market continues to bleed more. Very good point. Unfortunately the vast majority buys when it is double digit green, then there is less fear and more confidence. But that is the mistake, never go with your instincts. You need to do the decisions that follow only logic. Today is a good example, I heard from several people that they bought after the market was already up nearly 20%. Yesterday everything was 20% cheaper...

But yesterday most people's fear was in the way to make a purchase, green lights make it so much easier to get in. Wrong.
