Infact, some of the earliest individuals who invested into bitcoin and Ethereum at the right time, after it came out of the underground, were investment bankers and traders. They have been in on this for longer than the general public realizes. Did you hear the part "could" which can be next week, next month, next year or never. If you know the way bank work, you would realize that they cannot just wake up then decide what they want to do with customers deposits. Except they finance another company to carry such activities with no relationship with the bank and enough provision to cover for the possibility of it failing, they cannot pull it off. Every cents in the bank is accounted for and monitored from the Central Banks, deposits commissions, fraud units etc.

The point is, its not that its impossible but the allowance to use deposits of customer to engage in crypto currency and be open about it, has to come from the way top which we all know its not something that is easy to come by. Its a good proposition and I hope to see it happen anytime soon.

But I do know that once this happens, and they start opening up their own exchanges that are backed by the full faith and trust of their large name. I do know that that is going to lead to more adoption and the increase in price for bitcoin -- once people see a household name involved with bitcoin (such as JPMORGAN, Citibank, etc) They're going to feel like it isn't a scam and get involved.

Banks getting involved with crypto is a blessing and a curse. There would be a lot more money in the space which would theoretically increase value. The problem would be with centralization and banks. Bitcoin and crypto currency were created as a way of decentralizing transaction. Banks getting involved would go directly against that and everything would be driven by corporate greed.

Some people confuse Bitcoin with Private Blockchain based tokens. The Banks are already developing their own private Blockchain based technologies. Mike Hearn, who are working for the banking consortium R3, already outlined their new technology that would be implemented soon.

Very correct. Banks are smart enough to identify opportunities and move with technological trends. So this might not be very far from the truth. A bit of what we have seen from bankers in the past as regards crypto was to see if they could stop it. But obviously this cannot be stopped, and they must find a way to make money from it too.

Dont think so that banks will accept bitcoin trading. Its impossible because bitcoin is decentralized, it cannot be controlled or manipulated. All the money in the banks are being manipulated, so bitcoin trading in the banks is impossible. I have a hard time believing that with all of the money that has been made in cryptocurrencies, banks have stubbornly ignored the industry. It's not about using cryptocurrencies themselves but trading it. I think some banks are already trading cryptocurrencies because as what we saw last year, J.P. Morgan talk negatively about bitcoin which has created a FUD and makes the price go down only to find out later on that they have bought when it is cheaper so it is their strategy. Banks may not accept cryptocurrencies but they are already trading it because they have so much funds and they don't want to just let this opportunity pass without taking advantage of it.

somehow, I am not sure about this. and if banks want to start trading, then the government will get involved in the market, we can see that there will be many manipulations of the price and not just the whales that can do manipulate the price but the governments will also try to do this. the governments have an unlimited source to manipulate the price and maybe in that time, there will be a war between the governments, in this case, represented by the bank and with the whales. maybe it will interesting to know more about this.

Completely nonsense! This is impossible to happen. Banks will never do that, because banks are against to bitcoin, because bitcoin is a great threat to fiat currency. Banks and Government are linked to each other, and as what we know, government really hates bitcoin, because they cant control or manipulate it, and also they cant get something on it, not like fiat that they can put tax.

Yeah there are so many reports about banks start to adapt cryptocurrency and i still figure out if here in our local would banks offer cryptocurrency loan or any that could let us earn on it. As i have checked lately banks are still waiting for a go signal for them and they are still having some issue on technical aspects. So here in our local bank would have some delays on the implementation. For now they will accept fiat and they will forward it to the local exchange where you can exchange your fiat to crypto.

As it's very hard to cout anything about this because there are many different types of rumors about it.So what i think is that no bank would do that because it surly directly affect the bank's business and also affect the national currency and no bank would like to devalue the national currency which cause major loss to them.And one more thing is that the terms and conditions are always there for every bank which don't allow them to do so.

With proper legislation and regulations, I believe the banks would readily accept bitcoin for trading sooner than later. The reality is that the world of crypto and for that matter, bitcoin would surely be the future currency for all business transactions.

Bank will definitely go into the technology sooner or later, they knew what is happening behind the scene and they will not let crytocurrency just move around and watch it. They will have there fair share in the market for manipulation. They have the resources and the brain. Banks accepting crypto means one of these bodies must forgo its principle of operation and accept that of the other. It is either the banks go decentralized or crypto goes centralized in order for these two bodies to conform and operate. If former head of J.P. Morgan talks like that this must be real or can be real. The banks were searching ways to live with the cryptocurrency in sometimes. Because they don't want to miss the commission behind cryptos. Behind $185 billions market cap and $18 billions  volume  there should be lots of profit that banks can make.. So i believe that they wouldn't miss it..

Soon, they will release their own coin to compete in the crypto market but I don't think it will be any different with other existing coins. But this new competition can benefit the industry as it can attract new investors and create a new demand in the market. I do not believe banks conduct cryptocurrency trading, because banks will pay attention to the legality factor in carrying out their policies. While in terms of legality cryptocurrency has a difference between one country and another. For the future it is still possible, but right now I don't think it will happen.

Some government won't allow cryptocurrency to enter the banking system. Because some of the politician and businessman are invisting in banks. Many of them won't allow virtual moneys and transaction handle by crypto currency.

If that is true that the bank would start trading crypto sooner ,then that will be good for cryptocurrency that banks will be accepting crypto in the business and that the trading activities will be fast to convert to cashout through the bank.

Its true that banks have to report everything to central banks but that does not mean that banking sector cannot enter crypto market, if you are aware the biggest bank in Saudi has adopted ripple. Banks basically invest in different sectors like real estate, stock market etc other than providing loans to consumers which generates income for them. I don't believe it. In my opinion, it will not happen any time soon. And it will happen even further in the future, thanks to the current situation. I believe banks were already trading crypto currencies before the 2017 higher prices thus the duration at hwhichbthe banks profited so much.
