Well shit dude, that thing needs its own power plant...what were you thinking? After the next jump its only at about .1 per day and it will be obsolete in another month with that power draw. Ill have a neptune hashing 3.5TH for the same power in a month or so for 10k. So seriously. How much do you think its worth?

I have a Neptune on the way also and just if I can correct you nobody has verified 3.5TH, also there is no figure on power draw verified. Never the less I could argue with you but I'll stay away given your attitude...some people have free power and some people can't afford a Neptune....go figure...

What are you looking for out of it, I might buy if the price is at least somewhat reasonable..

Well, whatever the market is willing to pay I suppose....

If I double the difficulty the network is going to go up to in 100 blocks or so, 1754976329 (double that and your looking at in or around 4054976329)

At the 4054976329 difficulty and the current price of bitcoins you will be still making about 60 dollars a day excluding power (power wouldn't be that much)...
An apprecitation in value is going to be great and if it halves in value you will still be making free money in your house - about 30 dollars or so. Nearly a 1000 dollars a month.

The ASIC development is gonna hit a plateou at some stage - anything less than 20nm is really really expensive....so this machine should be churning out a profit for a long time....KnCminer is not going making anymore products after this Neptune, I'm not sure what they are trying to say with this tbh....

It's not economical for me to sell it below a certain price - I'm just best off keeping it running in the rack in the server room - I just want to focus on getting a litecoin asic - I have other asics working away here on bitcoin as it is.....with more to come.

Give me a decent price to make long term money and you can take it off my hands.....otherwise I will just invest new money towards the litecoin asic.

I think people get too caught up on this profitability thing when you can't predict how much the price will be and when asic's will hit the ceiling.

Thanks.

I want one [dozen] of them.

I would put it's current value at around 5BTC but I don't know if I would pay that today.

PM me.

Just for the record it seems the Neptune will be using much more power....

Go away and stop being such an idiot  ::)

No thats cool, Im making sure the noobs know what is going on. I dont like to see people taken advantage of... ;D

Sounds like your afraid of getting taken of advantage of tbh - just because your getting your "neptunes"....there are 1200 of them sold on the first batch and another 1200 nearly sold on the second....Your mining power is going to be still pittance in relation to the size of the network. Maybe you should have started mining in 2011 with gpu's and you would have 1k coins by now (like me :P) noob. That was when the network was 12TH/s and I had about 8GH/s bringing in a lot of coins over a long period....How does it feel like to get bragging slapped right back into your face?

VIP staus pffff - Maybe I have 20 Neptunes ordered as far as you know and maybe I have 80 antminers hosted in China already - how do you know? You can bragg all you want but someone else is always going to have more mining power than you.

Now, somebody is being given an opportunity to buy a steady income for a long time given that this hardware has lost it's value quite a bit....Put yourself in there situation and then try and find out what they might be hoping for. I think you really did want to buy it with your puny offer initially, and got annoyed when I said "Nice try". Value is based on what people are willing to pay for it and in the case of this product whether it will give them a profit based on predictions about the future of mining (of which there are only opinions, not facts) - not some figure you pulled out of nowhere.

You need to take into account what the machine can do for you and if you think it's worthwhile - I have made my argument for someone else to buy it and part of my argument says that below a certain value I'm better off leaving it running - that's where value comes into it and whether it's worth selling or not. I just want to put the money towards a litecoin ASIC (the first being developed at the moment for release in 2014), without digging into my "euro" pockets.

This is a serious forum, for talking about problems, economics and buying and selling expensive equipment - nobody is going to take you seriously if you bragg about being a VIP (VIP sounds like a stupid marketing term they use to basically describe a repeat customer discount - sounds like you fell for it - most would probably see right through it). Normally those that do bragg about such things as I'm a VIP are full of s*hit and don't actually have any such order at all.

Now I have no doubt you will be running back with your invoice with blanked out personal details - go for it....
Tell me about your current setup also and we will do an analysis of it and compare it to my sale for profitability. You may have the most expensive hardware but in terms of cost vs. return, your return percentage could be lower  ;D

Also, you said initially that your Neptune would use the same power as mine. Then when I answered back to that you said "of course it would it's a more powerful machine" Do you realize what you did wrong there?

Thanks to the moderators judgement; that guys posts have been removed with a warning issued on derailing posts. I was happy to have a debate with him until he just went on a silly and insulting route on his posts. I hope it's ok with the moderator for posting this update but I have a few users subscribed to this thread.

I tried to influence the moderator as little as possible to get a third party neutral view - I thought for a while that the conversation may be good for this sale thread but obviously not.

Thanks you moderator and I hope I didn't say anything out of whack, so to speak, myself :)

Debate about what? You are denying that there are better alternatives out there? You havent even named a price. Why dont you do that, since thats a basic principle of doing business.

Could you share with the group?

My estimate was 5.167BTC for the value, I would be very interested to know the going rate on these.

Can I ask how you determined the value?

Standard formula.

30% diff jumps, 90 days total mining, $0 electric, 0% pool fee.   (bitcoinwisdom.com calculator)

I've never made a significant gain or lost money buying hardware with this formula.  (Lots of small gains add up)

It is so unfortunate when people don't speak up when they buy something. Theres no way to verify if a trade actually occured then, which would reinforce if the seller was legit or if they were a scammer.

I'm sure that after the transaction is complete and the buyer has received the item both the buyer and seller will leave feedback for each other. If he just sold it the buyer probably hasn't received it yet, so it's too soon to see feedback. I don't see anything in this thread that would indicate any sort of scam.

Lol.  I would just like a bit of a clue as to what these are going for.  I'm sure others would like to have an idea as well.  Disclosing an estimated range is not disclosure of a price paid.

Specifically when the buyer is undisclosed.

The price is always going to be based on how optimistic the buyer is vs. the optimism/pessimism of the seller, given that there are not many for sale. More choice for the buyer if there are a lot available.

I've read over your profile and viewed your posts from the past. My god, you are some clown - what field were you born in?

Have you nothing better to do that slag butterfly labs every time you get a chance - some people did make money with them  ::) Just not you  :D

You might not even make money with your Neptunes - you will look like an even bigger clown then. Is this supposed to be your official opinion moniker for your business, then?

10TH/s is not much - the network is currently on about 14000TH and other ASIC's may deliver long before them - Q1/Q2 is vague, very vague. There are 100's of antminers coming on all the time. Black arrow estimate to bring their 1TH machines in late February.

20nm takes a long time to fix if there are problems and it's likely they won't ship before summer. They were even late with their last 28nm product line. Tell me how much you estimate to make back on bitcoins? What's your contingency plan? I just ordered one to play it safe because I believe they will be surpassed. It may ruin KnC when everybody wants their refunds. Those that do may very well not get their refund back with the same amount of coins they spent - maybe 8 each, or 7, or 5....anything is quite possible.

btw, a lot of europeans think Americans are idiots, we don't all look at your country in awe - what goes up must come down and your superpower status days are numbered. Don't try and play some card on europeans to make your country sound better.

KnC knows there fucked more like if Black arrow meets it's expectations....that means your fucked also if you haven't ordered any Black arrow gear - just like many who bought BFL gear.

Why is America the best place to live? We get all your technology companies because you don't have the skills among other things. Google, Facebook, Intel etc. are all in Ireland. You can't hold on to your own tech companies!

Your health system is a disaster - your society is in tatters due to the divide between the wealthy and poor. You now have to restrict your gun law because kids are needlessly going into schools and cinemas to shoot people (reason?). You start wars you can't win, America even starts wars for oil. Your car manufacturing industry is laughable and exports are more or less nil because there rubbish. You burn ridiculous amounts of petrol (or gas as the Americans call it) due to big massive engines that are still extremely slow and heavy), and if I may repeat "start wars for oil"
So saying America is the best place to live is very subjective and stupid.....and too much of a generalised statement. If someone likes to work in research for HP with their doctorate, then maybe the best place for them to live is Ireland. If someone wants to move up the ranks in facebook, again...Ireland.

If someone wants to build shite cars with outdated rail suspension then America is a good place to live. If you want to be obese then America is the best place to live also.

What are you going to say next so I can tear that apart too? What's your age btw?

I think you have missed my point....this is about Neptune miners. Go and order yourself a Black arrow batch 2 for delivery at the end of April. Focus on this company not BFL labs - it might just make you a happier man....although money doesn't make one happy.

I wish you the best of luck with your Neptunes  ;)

We generally have a lot of freedoms. Where in Europe re you from? Lets hear that first. Im sure Ill have a few things to say..be proud dude, where are you from?

I think you have missed my point....this is about Neptune miners. Go and order yourself a Black arrow batch 2 for delivery at the end of April. Focus on this company not BFL labs.

I wish you the best of luck with your Neptunes  ;)

I dont need luck, Im American  8)

It's your neptunes going to the bin and your 30 bitcoins pissed away :p
It's a large handful of your previous posts making you look like a massive clown.

Now mind your own business and don't jump into one of my threads with your bullshit again.

Well youre very wrong about everything. My questions to a smart ass like you would be...1. When were these orders place? Was it when bitcoin was at $300-500 usd? YES, probably was...so those buyers probably paid 20-25 bitcoins for one of those. And the real reason youre half retarded is because when I bought my gear, a bitcoin was worth 1000 USD. So if I did want a refund, I would get a bank transfer for 10,000 USD tomorrow. Then I could buy 11 bitcoins. So I would have made 1 bitcoin profit in 1 month  :o So stick that in your eurotrash pipe and smoke it.

The only reason all this jumbo mumble shit is going on here is because you instigated it and you won't go away; in fact, you did go, and then you came back again to do nothing but start an argument; presumably, because you were pissed off I never accepted your offer)
You continue to attempt to damage my reputation and seemingly bring me down to your own level.

Now, back to the Neptunes - it doesn't matter what people paid for their cointerra boxes; we are talking about Neptunes here (do I need to keep reminding you)....it is fairly unlikely that you will make your money back on those boxes if everything else delivers; even, if they only cost you 10 coins (which could be worth anything by then (10,000 perhaps, who knows). Hopefully I don't have to do the maths for you - you, so far have talked about, such things, as what you expect KnC to deliver on things there is no offical statements on.

Now, what are you going to say next that I will have to tear apart? Please go back to making your comments on youtube videos. You would not get a 10000 usd discount - you would get only about 6k.

Youtube videos...anyways...No one was damaging your credibility. You saw the offers, mine wasnt that low. We will see what the neptunes do. I think youre only basing a return on 3 TH, where it could be much higher and closer to 4 TH...You havent torn shit apart. All you are doing is speculating like a little bitch...you dont know anything. We will see...just keep your little yapper shut till then if you can...youre like a chick or a little dog, just yapping in my ear
