GTX 1070 and lyra2v2 is at 40Mh/s
neoscrypt is at 1,1Mh/s (which is to be honest a good result, because only hsrminer fork by justaminer reaches this value)

Tested lyra2rev2 just for a few minutes, but my cards run way too hot with this miner, had to switch it off. (Afterburner showing same temps)

Lyra2z is not supported for 1080 Ti, Phi hashrate is around 31/32 Mhs, again very high temps.

Trying this miner out now for a while, mining Lyra2REv2 on my 5x1080 rig. I'm quite keen to have a worthy replacement to the Alexis78 forks because they alwatys end up being unstable for me and crash my rig sometimes up to several times a day.

Some weird hashrates here. Two 1080's hashing at 52Mh/s, three at 44. All exact same clock settings... Not too sure what causes the differences.

We will investigate this issue. You can also try to run mulpiple instances of miner and configure each instance to work with one graphics card (just for test).

Very good start.

you need to add some functions.
-show hashrate when press h button on the keyboard.
-show watt information.
-set fan speed in bat file.
-failover pools in bat file or pools file which is used by your miner.

I hope you will release Linux version. There is no any competitor for neoscrypt on Linux.

We agree that watchdog is useful for stable mining. We plan to add this feature in the next release.

1080Ti, no OC, Blake2s ~6.5Ghs, Neoscrypt 1.65Ghs, I didn't measure pool results.

Slower than ccminer and hsrminer, but as someone said before, good starting point.

In the performance tests for Neoscrypt carried out by our team, CryptoDredge is faster than Nicehash on GTX 1050, GTX 1060, and GTX 1070. Starting from GTX 1080 it is indeed not faster than Nicehash.

We are working on optimization of this algo for latest graphics cards and we have reason to believe that CryptoDredge will be in first place.

Thank you for your hard work in releasing this new miner. As others have already said, it is a good start and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, I may have found a small issue when using the --device parameter.  In version 0.2,  it is not possible to specify the first GPU using --device=0 or -d 0.  An error "bad lexical cast: type value could not be interpreted as target" is displayed and the executable quits.  However, this error does not occur if  --device=1 or -d 1 is used instead.

First, I noticed that it is not currently possible to redirect the screen output of your miner.  For example, if I try to redirect the standard console output to a log file, only your logo is written to the file but not the rest of the output. Would it be possible for you to either change how the screen output is handled so that it can be redirected or could you instead add a command line parameter that would write a file containing the screen output to disk?  Also, since color codes can make it more difficult to parse such log files, would you also consider adding a "no color" parameter to display the text in monochrome?

Redirecting the console output to a file does not work as expected, this is a known issue. An additional command line arguments for redirecting log and suppressing color will be added in the next update.

There is some problem with NiceHash on Lyra2z algo... it asks for reconnection too often and the reason is not on the pool, because using ccminer or excavator not causing such problem. Can you check please?

I tested your miner on Windows and it is veery good and stable.
Think about Linux version. There are many NVIDIA GPUs on HiveOS. I cant switch them to Windows.

Nice results on Lyra2z, it makes me think that some really impressive results can be achieved on higher end cards in the future. I might even be convinced to turn one rig over to the windows dark side.

How exactly do I specify the devices?
What is the separator? Comma, Space, Semicolon?
What number format is used? Decimal or hex?
I assume devices start with 0.
Pls. give an example for 13 cards. e.g -d 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12

OS :windows 10
driver 397

all GPU TDP 70%, cclock +100 , memory 0

algo lyra2rev2 , pool NH

GTX1080ti: excavator 66MH-->cryptodredge 72MH
GTX1080: Excavator 50MH-->cryptodredge 55MH
GTX1070ti:Excavator 44MH-->cryptodredge 49MH
GTX1050ti:Excavator 14MH-->cryptodredge 15MH

problem detected: sometimes miner will hang if you try to access PC with teamviewer. Make sure it run first then close your teamviewer and then dont try to log in anymore!
some gtx1080 cannot run this.error appeared. Maybe i will try to reduce intensity but currently i am busy to rectify it so for rig that cannot use cryptodredge I will stick to excavator

overall comment : Very nice! currently using it

I stopped using teamviewer because it caused too many stability issues with mining (even before this miner become available), so i switched to other remote control app and no more problems.

Reconnect problem after dev fee session only on lyra2z algo with 0.3.0 and 0.4.0 on two of my rigs.
The same problem on Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Another rig with 1050 on Windows 7 after dev fee session lowered the hashrate to 550 - 600 KH/s from 1000 KH/s - lyra2z algo.

Lyra2rev2 works ok on the same rigs. No reconnect problems.

Sometimes Nicehash split the hasrate on the same workers.

Tested only on Nicehash.

It would be nice to see lyra2z on higher GTX graphic cards.

Much appreciated! I see an increase in hashrate by 5-10Mh/s for lyra2v2 on my 1080 Tis. This is a big improvement so I'll continue using your software.

EVGA FTW3 1080Ti +100 clock
MSI Duke 1080Ti +120 clock

With ccminer I only get around 70Mh/s each. Excavator gives around 75Mh/s each, so this is still higher. Definitely heats them up though.

I second this. It's also causing a problem with NemosMiner so that the miner doesn't always close when switching.

I think its ctrl+f, anyways you can modify the voltage/clock curve.  Its still a good idea to limit power usage with the pl limit though, so get a watt value you like, then adjust clocks.

I think its ctrl+f, anyways you can modify the voltage/clock curve.  Its still a good idea to limit power usage with the pl limit though, so get a watt value you like, then adjust clocks.

Sorry, I forget to mention, how to change voltage in Linux (Ubuntu).

I have no idea just copy the previous configuration of ccminer and I have not had problems maybe it does not influence the hasrate, there you can see that I do not have any special configuration.

Your GPUs have crashed.  reduce overclocks and/or increase power/voltage to the gpu.  44mhs is pushing it good, you should post card model, PL, core clock, mem clock and voltage.

they havent even started to hash.. i cant see them being loaded with work (in Afterburner).

they are Gigabyte Aorus 1070, 67% tdp, +100,+100, 391.35

they seem to work fine if i throw them on another pool.. but again they drop work after some time.
Some rigs work fine, but others fail... with no apparent reason (same setup, driver, etc etc). Cards are ok and they work fine on any other algo/miner.

They work perfect in Nicehash miner, but at 41 mhs (same pl, core, mem..)


Thanks for the tip, i΄ll try 67%, +50,-512 and see what they do.

On neoscrypt my 1080 i get 1305kh with cryptodredge 0.40  1350kh with excavator +100 +450 108PL. Seem like you have a solid platform to build from, I will keep an eye miner as it evolves will need something to replace excavator as they have discontinued support for pools that aren't nicehash related.

I havent seen the hashrate drop by half yet, nor anything else for that matter on my test rig.  I havent checked the network traffic though.  So far pool side seems ok but i need to run it 3-4-5 days to get a good picture of pool side hashrate, errors, and dev fees.

At some point will there be any Nvidia Volta optimizations (i.e. Titan V) for this miner?  I tried version 0.4.0 with the Titan V and LyraREv2 algo, and while it is on par with another miner I tested, it isn't any faster and thus have no incentive to switch.  I also tried --intensity=7, and while the program acknowledged it in the startup output, it didn't make any difference in hashrate (yes I see that intensity 6 is the max in the readme, but just wanted to test).  Thanks.

We have no plans to work with Volta in the near future because we don't have it. It might be better to try 0.2.1

So after some testing the first thing that pops up to me is one rig is mining, sending shares.  But the rig is offline on my pool and no shares are accepted, and none have been for some time now.

Did a small test. My 6 1080tis run around 21.5 mh on coolminer. I was sitting at 22.5 with cryptodredge with the same settings. Only thing, is that my Temps were around 8 degrees Celsius hotter with cryptodredge. Settings are 80% +75 core - 502 on mem with 21 intensity. Hope it helps

Hash rate numbers are vanity metrics and can be gamed.  The only thing I care about is "which miner puts more coins in my wallet?" I've done dozens of Head to Head tests in the past see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3385643.0

I've decided to test CoolMiner 1.3 Vs CryptoDredge 0.4.1 to see which one mines more coins on Lyra2z.



MINERS:
CoolMiner 1.3 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4412370.0) intensity = 20
CryptoDredge 0.4.1 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4129696.0) intensity = 6

The Setup:
I use a 12 GPU 1080Ti rig on Windows 10, split into three mining instances of 4 GPU's each (for this test, only two of the instances are used). All three mining instances are balanced to get as close to the same hash rate as possible.
Each mining instance is running at the same time on the same machine mining on the same pool.

Overclock settings: 100% TDP, NO overclocking
Drivers: Nvidia 398.11



Test 1 Results: Test aborted :(

about 4 hours into the test, the rig crashed. I'm confident that it was due to CryptoDredge, the rig had close to two weeks of uptime running Coolminer.
When I went to restart CryptoDredge, I got the following error: > Error: bad lexical cast: source type value could not be interpreted as target

Given the increased temps, increased power draw, and stability issues; I cannot recommend CryptoDredge, even if it does provide a few percentage point gain over Coolminer.
I'll wait until CryptoDredge has the bugs worked out to give it another try

Notes on CryptoDredge:
  • GPU's run about 6-8 degrees Celcius hotter than with coolminer
  • The GPU count starts at 0, whereas ccminer variants start the count at 1. this obviously makes a difference when using the -d flag
  • Intensity ranges from 0 to 6, 1080Ti defaults to a 6
  • I initially had issues with stability. The miner would crash the rig after a minute or two of running. I had 397 drivers on the rig, which I knew caused issues for some miners. So I DDU'd the rig, installed 398 drivers, and didn't overclock... that seemed to clear up the problem.
  • No API support :(

Hashrates are way better, yes, but not everyone are mining on specialized farms...
Intensity does nothing, so even on zero very noticeable UI slowdowns.
Any chance for the real low intensity?

Hello, thank you for the program, it makes good progress, but for the algorithm lyra2z with video cards 1080 ti it works worse than any program existing now.
temperature is 10-15 degrees higher than the other miner, the consumption of electricity is higher by 25%
there are errors and overloading of the miner.

Can't remember what speed my cards ran on lyra2z but the total hash was 7.6-7.8 mhs, on your miner it's definitely improved, it's now on +9 mhs, gtx 1070 = 2.1mhs and gtx 1060 6gb = 1.3 mhs

You can start by reading two posts above yours.



This miner currently crashes at times when switching to the dev fee that crashes drivers. If it makes any changes to the OC settings, please remove that for safety reasons. Great hashrates. Not stable.

Who has achieved what results in overclocking at 1080Ti on Lyra2rev2?
First of all, the maximal hash is not interested, but the consumption/hash ratio

just change algo honestly, either you pay high electric or you pay cheap electric.  high electric, high heat area, mine lyra2z.  low electric low heat situation then mine lyra2rev2 :)

about awesome miner i readed to wait for next release.. sounds good thanks!... about to can setting the difficult ? there will be this parameter?

Wich config you use with your 1080ti ?  and with what hashrate?


anyway, after a couple of hours, the miner crash and some gpu stop to work.. to close the miner become impossible and only forcing a reboot to my rig can solve the situation..

Hope a fix will come soon..

I am trying the "-a lyra2v2-old" and from +610Mh/s, now it works at 570Mh/s ; I noticed that every GPU works at similar hashrate now, instead of earlier when 4 GPU were working at 80Mh/s and other 4 GPU were working slower as you can see in the screenshot


The last advice that I want to give you is to implement the difficult parameter.. when i start to mine, I waste around 4/5 minutes with refused results or thousands of little result before that the pool adjust slowly the miner with highter difficult number... it is not good and it is necessary to can put a fixed number of difficult

you are right mate!  I tried to add this "-p c=HANA,d=206" and now the difficult is fixed as i wanted since the beginning of session...

I have noticed that my first 4 gpu run very fast... other 4 gpu have lower hashrate.. and i don't know how to fix it...  do you have this problem also? any idea how to fix ?



ps: the normal algo give more voltage than the "old".. now i am sure of this

it continue to crash after few minutes or half hour of mining.. and to restart it I can only reboot the RIG. It isn't very nice to use this miner in this conditions, totally unstable.

Then, while it works, 4 gpu works slower, sometime the last one stop to work.


If not fixed, i am going to switch to another miner because I can't check my rig every 10 minutes crossfingering that everything is working fine.. totally waste of time and energy

something like that here.miner not always closes properly with 3rd party software and i have 2 instances running lyra2z and neoscrypt for example.1-2 hours and rebooting...if there is no -r or -eexit options like ccminer or ewbf in future - then such a good speeds are worthless...
What's pool are you using?

Miner control need to close one miner and open another miner when profitability of one algo is higher than another.with ccminer i can gat more than 5 days of working.with cryptodredge - no more than 8 hours.i just see two miners run at a time and after few hours - crash.tried no OC - same result.need just a proper exit if miner can't start mining for somehow.

No, it isn't. Most probably you face bad-overclock or some kind of network problem.

Lyra2z is giving 10.88MH, while the second best is at 10.27MH
BUT, power drain is insanely grew up to 620W, while the second best is nailed at 480W.  ???

In compare with second "fastest" miner for lyra2z (tested on 1080ti) is cryptodredge performing ~10% better, but consumes 30% more power and run hotter ofcourse.

I can get it to work in Awesome Miner using a managed miner and setting - (CryptoDredge compatibility to none) than set it up in the command line for the pool

Very fast miner, get best results on PHI2 but it's a bit buggy. Sometimes on 9x1070ti hashrate is halving on every card i need to restart miner.
Other thing sometimes after mining dev fee it does not switch to my pool, it's mining nothing i think. Shares are not displaying.

Why are you mining neoscrypt as devfee? My power draw increases by 50% while the devfee is running and the temperatures spike up. You'll kill someone's rig doing this.

I have very specific overlocking with constant voltage and my PSU works on 80% of their power with my overlocking, when Dev's session starts it makes my PSU work on 100% and it crash everything. Why don't you just make dev's sessions in the same algorithm as users session ? It will resolve any issues.

Not sure why but I get slower results with 0.6.0. I also had to add --cpu-priority 5 to the command line in order for my miner to last a few seconds.
Ended up crashing on a 2 card pc and a 5 card 1080ti rig.
Reverted back to 0.5.1, have had to reduce clocks because of "dev fee crash" but i'm seeing the best results but also at a higher total power consumption.
Stable overclocks for 1080ti will range on any miner for ph2 go for -500 memory clock, then start at +50 core clock and slowly work your way up.

This is causing pp rigs to crash, if they are not aware of what is happening and prepared to adjust their gpus, for it, This is an unacceptable practice by CD, in my opinion., as this prevents pp from adjusting for maximised PHI2 production, at lowest PL, due to having to or wishing to power limit their gpus for power conservation. Likewise, also limiting the use of -i Intensity, due to the Dev fee algo, causing over-driving of the gpu's. I am conducting a back to back comparison test with CD (CryptoDredge) Miner and ZE (Z-Enemy) miner, on identical rigs, for a one week period on Icemining.ca pool to determine luxcoin production. The fact that I can not use an intensity factor greater than the default CD set, is only proving that CD has limitation under this Dev fee algo practice.

The fact that I can not use an intensity factor greater than the default CD set, is only proving that CD has limitation under this Dev fee algo practice.

So as many people that use CD (CryptoDrgedge) are aware the dev fee is being mined on an algo, with a power curve, that is completely out of alignment with the PHI2 algo. This is causing pp rigs to crash, if they are not aware of what is happening and prepared to adjust their gpus, for it, This is an unacceptable practice by CD, in my opinion., as this prevents pp from adjusting for maximised PHI2 production, at lowest PL, due to having to or wishing to power limit their gpus for power conservation. Likewise, also limiting the use of -i Intensity, due to the Dev fee algo, causing over-driving of the gpu's. I am conducting a back to back comparison test with CD (CryptoDredge) Miner and ZE (Z-Enemy) miner, on identical rigs, for a one week period on Icemining.ca pool to determine luxcoin production. The fact that I can not use an intensity factor greater than the default CD set, is only proving that CD has limitation under this Dev fee algo practice.

There are reports that CD has a much higher power use output compared to the other miners as well, which would probably lead to more hashrate. Can you check that as well?

1080ti hashrate on lyra2v2- 83.5mh/s +180core, -500 mem, 80%power. GTX 970 hashrate - 25.2mh/s, +188core, -500 mem, 84% power. Overall 16% improvement over alexis miner. Miner used to crash on dev fee. Now its working fine.

With CD 0.6, I am getting on a 1080 with 60% pwr +125/-200 core/mem oc about 2.8 Mh/s.  On ccminer 2.3 a similar 1080 tops out at 2.4 Mh/s.

I see your point but at least it's a rough estimate where to stop where to stop with the oc from stock, the final tweaks we can do ourselves, it does make it a bit easier.

Just tried out your miner, the hashrate is indeed better than ccminer2.3 on phi2, but during mining the cards produce this annoying clicking sound (kind of like if you put an ice cube into a glass and shake it around). Is there any way to fix it myself? If not, I hope you, the developer, will sometime soon. If you'd like any additional information I'm more than happy to provide it.

So far, so good!  I am getting around 13-15% better performance using CryptoDredge than CCminer, etc.  I am running two rigs with 8 X Nvidia 1080ti cards.  80% power, +150 mem clock, +65 GPU clock and getting a cumulative 615.33 MH/s on Lyra2rev2, so almost exactly 77MH/s per card on Lyra2rev2.

On Lyra2z, I am getting 29MH/s, or 3.625 per card.

On Neoscrypt I am getting 13.74 MH/s, or 1.71 MH/s per card (some cards as high as 1.77 MH/s).

I get about 2 restarts per 24 hours with CryptoDredge and get zero restarts for weeks sometimes with ccminer, so it needs to be a bit more stable.

I am running the latest version of Awesomeminer, which is how I found out about CryptoDredge, because the latest update included Cryptodredge.

How did you add CD miner to Awesomeminer ? Or is it already added in AM's latest version?
Tried to use Awesomeminer before but the autoswitching algo config confused me so i left it

The latest version of Awesomeminer added CryptoDredge (i.e it came with the latest update) as one of the mining software packages available to me.  I benchmarked my cards again and CryptoDredge had by far the best performance for me on Lyra2rev2, Lyra2z and Neoscrypt.

After testing on Skein, I am getting around 870MH/s per card, running my Nvidia 1080tis, for a total of 6.9GH/s for 8 cards.

TDP can vary alot specially since its mostly capped by temperature limit.  For example if your gpu is cool enough even at power limit 50% your GPU might be working @ 100% gpu clock and voltage so you get hashrate like 100% power limit.

SP mod miner is almost the same like Enemy's or Cryptodredge if you compare them by gpu clock/voltage.

I'm not sure if this is the same "dev fee" crash that others are getting, but whenever the dev fee starts everything else is killed.  

I run Awesome Miner and an app that I wrote myself to monitor the temperatures on each card and step the power down for a card if its temp gets over a certain amount.  Once it cools, it steps the power back up.  Whenever the dev fee starts, both my app and Awesome Miner are both closed but the CryptoDredge window keeps running.

Is CryptoDredge purposely killing other running applications or applications that might be polling the GPU's when it starts dev fee mining?

Editted to add: 
It's apparently the same as the "dev fee" crash.  I started my monitoring app back up immediately after it was closed, and all the temps were rising because the tdp was set to 100% for the dev fee mining.

I can't abide by software doing shady stuff like that.  Closing my apps, setting my tdp to 100% (even temporarily) and potentially crashing my system. I can get the same hashrate elsewhere.

Can you explain how the improved devfee mechanism operates?  Given that it was closing or causing the closure of software and maxing out the tdp to 100% while mining the devfee, I think many including myself would rather know what is going on behind the scenes than take risks assuming the devfee mining works like every other miner's devfee mining and nothing shady is going on. 

Other software just mines 1% of the time for the devfee - and doesn't try to max power or close other applications.  Why does yours and is that removed in this version?

No way. As a workaround for this issue, you might use a few CryptoDredge instances with -d option.
e.g.:

So, no more cryptodredge for me. They released new version without even telling us that new version is cuda 9.2 only. I was waiting for new version with "fixed" devfee and now we have it, but now they force us to use cuda 9.2, but I want to use stable cuda 9.1 drivers. No choice - no cryptodredge :)

That doesn't explain anything.  Why would you close applications and max power?  Is that removed in the current version?  What does "resolved" even mean in relation to those questions?

Can you explain how the improved devfee mechanism operates?  Given that it was closing or causing the closure of software and maxing out the tdp to 100% while mining the devfee, I think many including myself would rather know what is going on behind the scenes than take risks assuming the devfee mining works like every other miner's devfee mining and nothing shady is going on. 

Other software just mines 1% of the time for the devfee - and doesn't try to max power or close other applications.  Why does yours and is that removed in this version?

So, no more cryptodredge for me. They released new version without even telling us that new version is cuda 9.2 only. I was waiting for new version with "fixed" devfee and now we have it, but now they force us to use cuda 9.2, but I want to use stable cuda 9.1 drivers. No choice - no cryptodredge :)

What does "fixed" mean?  Was it removed?  Will CryptoDredge leave the tdp\power settings alone now?  Or does it just increase it less than 100%?  You need to elaborate on what "fixed" means.

As stated earlier, whenever the devfee mining started, both Awesome Miner and my own mining monitor program would get killed and the tdp would be set to 100% regardless of whatever percentage I had it set to.  This happened every single time the devfee mining began.  Others noted the power spikes causing crashes as well.  If you are saying CryptoDredge doesn't have code to close other applications - then why would my application processes get silently killed whenever the devfee mining started but run fine otherwise? My monitoring program and rigs run for weeks without reboots or issues. The issues I reported only started when I switched to CryptoDredge.

I would appreciate hearing answers to the following:

  • Why was CryptoDredge adjusting the tdp to 100% during the devfee mining?
  • Does CryptoDredge adjust tdp at all anymore or will it leave it as the user set it?
  • Are there any other settings that the user may have specifically configured that CryptoDredge will change behind the scenes that may cause crashes (overclocking, etc...)?
  • Why would multiple application processes get killed whenever dev fee mining starts?
 

I'm sure you can appreciate that people don't want mining software sneakily changing the power usage behind the scenes causing crashes - or even potential damage.  Explaining why that was occurring and whether it will continue to any degree would go a long way toward firming up trust.

Thanks for continuing your work on this miner.  Unfortunately, version .7 still causes stability issues to the graphics drivers when multiple instances of your miner are run at the same time for different GPUs.  I often get BSoD or display driver resets when closing as few as two instances of Cryptodredge at the same time.  No other mining software seems to have this problem.

Also, you may want to document command-line parameter changes. For example, version .7 changes --pool to --url. Unfortunately, that causes compatibility issues for anyone who has written a script or program to execute your miner, so it would be nice to have those changes documented in the readme file.  Finally, you may want to reconsider your decision to require the Cuda 9.2 as many people have decided to remain with the older Cuda 9.1 drivers for the time being.

I'd like to hear them explain why.  My concern is that at 80% I run just under the safe limit for some of my power lines.  Jacking my power up to 100% is not only a fire hazard.  but at the very least it runs the risk of damage to my hardware, especially since my monitoring program closed every time it went into devfee mining.  I could easily see CryptoDredge raising my power to 100% and then leaving it or experiencing a bug that left it at 100%.  I'd rather not risk burning down my rigs or house.

Mostly I'd like them to own up to it, and hear that the software won't change any overclock settings or power at all anymore. Saying it's "fixed" or "resolved" doesn't say that it won't adjust your settings at all anymore or even admit to it. There's obviously code in the miner that was doing it. Is it just doing it less now?  Has that code been removed?  Why was it doing it in the first place?   Right now since they were caught doing that and won't even say more than "resolved" or "fixed", it's very hard to trust that program.  Very shady.

Could you provide more details? It will help to figure out what's wrong. Actually, If you are using Lyra2REv2, Lyra2z or Phi2, the miner will not switch to another algorithm on the devfee session.

The miner just stops working after some random amount of time and sits there - no error or crash of the cmd window.   I don't see a log in your folder, so I assume you're looking for a windows event log?  

There's no error in the log associated with cryptodredge stopping

Then explain how my gpu's were maxed out during the devfee but tdp was set at 80% prior to the devfee mining starting please.  They should not have gone above 80% or it would have automatically been throttled back down if it crept above the limit that was set - but the limit was changed to max.  They never should have gotten changed to 100% of max power.  That's all I'm asking

Of course it was changing PL and by that it was changing overclock. Don't burn your rigs on CD, use another miner, better one :) in both hashrates and stability.

No way. As a workaround for this issue, you might use a few CryptoDredge instances with -d option.
e.g.:

This doesn't work because the lowest set intensity dominates. So in those bat files.... -i 4 is set for both. :)

Agreed, but I would have hoped for the developer to own it and apologize if only to keep trustworthiness with users.  It'd be easy to just say it was on purpose and they didn't consider or understand the ramifications at the time.  Maybe it's been completely removed or the code is still there - as a developer my concern without a true statement of what was going on, is that the code is still in place and a bug could activate it, or that it might get turned on again in a subsequent release whether on purpose or accident.  Saying it was "fixed" or "resolved" just tries to sweep it under the rug.  Calling it a lie when it was easy to see, is just ridiculous.

I've only started using CryptoDredge since 0.7.0, and on Lyra2v2 I have not seen any change to power draw or core clock on Afterburner during devfee mode compared to when it's mining on user mode. The program has not closed either and both CryptoDredge and AfterBurner has already been running over 24 hours with no issues.

I've read through a bit of the more recent posts and noticed that some users were having supposed clock and/or power increase during devfee mode. Just wanted to provide my own testimonial that this has given me about a 19.2% hashrate boost on my 2x GTX 1080 setup compared to ccminer 2.3 and a 13.9% hashrate boost on my GTX 860M laptop, with everything staying the same, that includes core clock, temps, and power draw. Thank you and keep up the good work!

I upped my TDP from 60 to 70 and it's stable.

Also,. It won't run on a machine that has a pascal Quadro card installed (along with a couple of gforce cards)

For neoscrypt, use older version of Excavator, it works with other pools too, newer versions are for NH only. CD is slower.

Anyone have the Neoscrypt hashrate for 1080 ti?
I am getting 1.85 MH/s per 1080ti.  I have 8 cards running at 14.7 MH/s using CryptoDredge.  90% power, 100+ on GPU, 125+ on memory.  Running Awesomeminer on Windows 10, latest Nvidia drivers.

I just tried to start the linux version on Ubuntu 16.04 with ROCm drivers (to test performance on my Vega 64's). But all I get is this:

I get 7.7 MH/s per 1080ti.  +120 GPU, +150 mem, 90% power.  Running Windows 10 and Awesomeminer.

Question.
I have setup Crytodredge with Sniffdog Miner.  On my desktop with 2 x 1080 it works great no issues.
But on my miner Rigs ( 4x 1080 ti and 8 x 1080 ti ) upon changing to another algo using a different mining software(ccminer for example) that is more profitable, Crytodredge doesn't close.  It continues to run at the same time as the other program.  Any thoughts on what would prevent Crytodredge from closing when its supposed to?

All Systems are running windows 10.
Desktop has 32 GB of DDR4,  Miners have 8GB of DDR4

All Systems are running off an M.2 SSD

1080ti are +85 Clock + 190 Memory, 95% Power
1080 are stock, 100% Power
All cards are limited to 75C

Only doing Lyra2RE2 on all systems for Crytodredge, as other miners were faster on other Algos.

TDLR: There's a HUGE performance increase on 1080 Ti's from 7.0 to 8.0.

Nope.  Actual power consumption is same at 50-55% TDP on CD compared to 75% TDP of others.

On my Desktop with 2 x 1080,  It runs good and rotates with other Miners without issue, though My computer started to Blue Screen on me after installing it.  Since taking Cryptodredge out of the available miners, system is stable again.

On my dedicated Miners however I running into issues with Crytodredge.  When switching to another miner ( software ) sometimes it doesn't close down, causing it to run in tandem with other Miners, other times when switching algos to another coin that also uses crytodredge, it will open a new window for the new algo, but not close the original one.  Something else I noticed is Cryptodredge seems to be very CPU instensive.  Both my Miners ( 4 card and 8 Card ) had their CPU's maxed out when running it.  These systems are running a Pentium CPU LGA 1151 socket on an ASUS Prime X270A motherboard.  Makes me wonder if a faster more powerful CPU would aleviate these issues.  On my desktop I am running an AMD threadripper 1950x, Rotating to other miners (software ) is never an issue.

Any thoughts?

Sorry bro I had a few beers and I thought you were talking about phi2 :D I guess 9.3mh is quite good for phi2. Although for best efficiency Im sticking with 8.25mh/s @ 160 watts.

?? it does 9.1+ on 1080 Ti and lower TDP

Didn't play with settings at all, just left what was in Afterburner for previous algo I used.

On my Desktop with 2 x 1080,  It runs good and rotates with other Miners without issue, though My computer started to Blue Screen on me after installing it.  Since taking Cryptodredge out of the available miners, system is stable again.

On my dedicated Miners however I running into issues with Crytodredge.  When switching to another miner ( software ) sometimes it doesn't close down, causing it to run in tandem with other Miners, other times when switching algos to another coin that also uses crytodredge, it will open a new window for the new algo, but not close the original one.  Something else I noticed is Cryptodredge seems to be very CPU instensive.  Both my Miners ( 4 card and 8 Card ) had their CPU's maxed out when running it.  These systems are running a Pentium CPU LGA 1151 socket on an ASUS Prime X270A motherboard.  Makes me wonder if a faster more powerful CPU would aleviate these issues.  On my desktop I am running an AMD threadripper 1950x, Rotating to other miners (software ) is never an issue.

Any thoughts?

I have setup Crytodredge with Sniffdog Miner.  On my desktop with 2 x 1080 it works great no issues.
But on my miner Rigs ( 4x 1080 ti and 8 x 1080 ti ) upon changing to another algo using a different mining software(ccminer for example) that is more profitable, Crytodredge doesn't close.  It continues to run at the same time as the other program.  Any thoughts on what would prevent Crytodredge from closing when its supposed to?

All Systems are running windows 10.
Desktop has 32 GB of DDR4,  Miners have 8GB of DDR4

All Systems are running off an M.2 SSD

1080ti are +85 Clock + 190 Memory, 95% Power
1080 are stock, 100% Power
All cards are limited to 75C

Only doing Lyra2RE2 on all systems for Crytodredge, as other miners were faster on other Algos.

I setup Crytodredge again on my Sniffdog miner.  This time I manually set the intensity to 5 ( default was 6 ), So far everything is running well.  The interesting thing was going from 6 to 5 did not result in any significant drop in hashrate.  Its only been running for an hour on my miners.  Hopefully it runs glitch free the rest of the day.

wow smashes it on lyra2v2 with my 1080ti on ubuntu.
 I was getting 68- 72Mhs with some ccminer variant. this comes straight in at 81.5Mhs, with no overclock settings touched.
Mabey you could add xevan algo in the future?

I have found with most mining software, they all start out with lower difficulty and gradually raise it over time.  The problem is the final difficulty they usually settle on is usually too high.  Which ends up submitting shares every 10-15 seconds, instead of every 3 -5 seconds.  This can be the difference between getting a share of a coin and not when coins are mined faster.  I have already set the -d option to set a static difficulty, but that is only effective once all my cards are gotten their hashrates up.  It would be nice if we could have the miner start at a lower diffculty to ensure we get those shares in when the rig is still spooling up, then to max out at our specified hashrate. 

Just a suggestion for future development.

The pool automatically assigns difficulty that corresponds to the hash rate of your miner. You can also set a fixed custom difficulty using the password parameter. For example, if you want to set the difficulty to 64, you would use:

Thanks for your suggestion. But, I can't see any other way of setting the difficulty manually. If you know how to do that, We are always glad to hear any advice

Troubleshooting

Antivirus Software Reports
CryptoDredge is not a piece of malicious software. You may try to add an exception in antivirus software you use.

Rejected Shares
There are many reasons for rejected shares. The primary reasons are:
  • high network latency
  • overloaded mining server
  • aggresive graphics card overclocking

Watchdog
If you are using a third-party watchdog, you can disable the built-in watchdog by using --no-watchdog option.

Lyra2REv2 Issues

I tried to remove overcloking but it didn't help.

I have no problem when mining phi2, lyra2z or lyra2v2.

  • Screenshot or log

Has the GPU any connections (Computer Monitor)? Do you use TeamViewer?

If you can make a decent CN7 or CN-heavy miner for nvidia it would be huge. Much better than x16r etc that have alot of developer competition on and already in the bag for nvidias.

Is it technically impossible for 1080ti to rival vega64 on cryptonite?

One of my only complaints with CryptoDredge is the lack of hash rate displayed upon submitting shares.  Other miners will tell me my current hashrate when submitting a share, and this helps me to track if all my cards are working at their full potential.  If maybe you could provide a flag we could add to the command string something like ("-showhashrate 1") that would greatly be appreciated.

Where can I download the latest and test it?
At the moment at was able to Solo mine neoscrypt only with three miners: NeverMore 0.2.3, ccminer-1.76-r10-neoscrypt and ccminer-2.2-mod-r2-CUDA9. But all of them get error  "reject reason: high-hash" when I find a block.
Maybe you can suggest something?

I have no idea what coin you're attempting to mine solo, what's the configuration of the miner and the daemon, etc.

Just in case, Bitcoin dropped GetWork in v0.10. Any coin forked off after this release has no GW support either unless their devs have reintegrated it back. It isn't difficult after all.

If you don't get accepted blocks, you get nothing regardless of what they say.

My Rigs are all 1080 Ti.  I run my cards at 95% power, with +35 Clock, +85 Memory, and both fans at 100%.  Card temps never exceed 60C.  If you are having issues turn down your card's power, or add more air flow.  Nothing compares to Dredge for Lyra2REV2.  But if you have any weak cards in your rigs, Dredge will definitely make them known.  The only Algo I have problems with is Phi2, as I think I have a weak card in my Rig.  Just need to turn down the power on that one card to correct the issue.

sounds good, I will give this miner a try, as it does appear to be the fastest. Another issue is right now the most profitable coin to mine with Lyra2REV2 is Verge, and yet I

couldn't find a reliable pool that offers this algo for Verge, are whattomine statistics wrong, or what pool would you guys recommend if indeed you are mining Verge

with Lyra2Rev2 ?..
