Don't worry, no-one's quite sure what's going on. His pre-mine would've been 8,000 blocks but we're only at around 73 blocks right now. A few people have found blocks but nothing is transferring to their wallet. I'm out for now until the Dev sorts these issues out. My customized conf files have all the relevant nodes etc. I use similar ones for other coins and they've never given the same problems happening here. Although you are right that just because there are only 8 or 42 or whatever of a coin it does not mean it is rare, just different denominations. However, there is such a thing as a rare coin, or at least it is possible to make one - this could be done simply by making a coin where for example 99.999% of all blocks mine give 0 block reward, then .001% of the time it gives a block reward of some amount of coins. Then you could in theory having a lot of miners getting nothing while a few get lucky and grab a block. This I think is the true way to make a 'rare' coin.
