In this current bearish markets, some school of thoughts believe it is better to stay long on USDT in order to remain safe while others think it is better to stay long on BTC as one will always have more of USD once the market gains momentum in the bullish season.
Which is better?

It is difficult to say but If I were the trader I will definitely keep holding then look for more money to buy more Bitcoin. This always works for me and it's fun to do! If the price falls again, you look for more money and buy more Bitcoin. If it falls again, you buy more.
Then if price begins to rise, you start  selling off the dips you bought bit by bit until you are left with the main holding which should be your long-term holding.

If i get you right, you mean you always introduce more fiat to buy more dips and sell off when it rises to cash out your fiat while the initial purchase which is the main holding will be the one to hold for long term???
It makes sense to some extent as it is possible one can re-coup the initial investment via that means.

Hold your bitcoins no matter how much the prices drop. The fact that we are in a bear market right now does not mean that there won't be another bull. It will just take a while which is why all investors are advised to be patient and if you know that you cannot be patient to wait for a long time then this market is not for you.

I think that now it's best to deal with marginal trades and to catch profits on the moves both up and down.

You're not seeing the big picture. Do some technical analysis on the monthly, weekly, or daily charts and you'll see we're lined up for a HUGE move going long. Long time period charts are very reliable and it seems as though we are seeing a very clear pattern reemerge. You can run and hide when you see red if you want, but the big boys are about to play.

It depends on your risk appetite. The two strategy seems fins strategy to me, it really depends on the trader. Some has stronger hands than others and willing to withstand the bear market just by holding.

If one knew when is the bear market starting, than it would be best to sell it before it start and buy again when is the lowest point. But because no one knew for sure, fr me is best to keep it in Bitcoin.

Always stay long on the btc. When it drops, buy more. If it drops even more, buy even more. Don't be afraid of the swings, swings are there to jump more. It's basic physics, if it sways and swings more it will go faster. Faster, faster and even faster! Let's aim for the moon!

There is also some philosophical element to these debates. Is it theoretically possible that Bitcoin can be reduced to less than 1000 USD with extreme pressure by the states and banks ? Yes;

however, such an eventuality would probably lead to such a chaotic and hostile state of affairs that World War 3 might even erupt from the awakening of the masses. So for all practical purposes, it's safe to bet long on the future of Crypto Currencies (in the alternative scenario fiat won't help you either anyways)...

Stay in USDT if you have sold a lot of your portfolios at peak. you must try to consider about USDT can secure your profit and give you a chance to buy them all again at the bottom. The best thing is stay in the USDT at bearish trend and then buy bitcoin or convert all of your USDT to the bitcoin when it has reached the bottom.

It is better to choose in USDT when you are experiencing a bearish market in order to save some of your grown profit. When you hold btc, your value keeps on going down in bear market, and you dont have a choice than to hold your coin on it , if you dont prefer to transfer it to USDT. In USDT case, when the bearish price keeps going down, you should buy btc at that time in order to hold more btc's in a smaller price.

For me it's better to choose both.
USDT while holding your bitcoin, and if the price are down, buy bitcoin and if it's drop again buy more. As a trader I want to gain more profits and if will rising it's a huge profits.

The Fed is starting to signal raising interest rates again, i.e. reducing the money supply. Therefore the USD will increase in value against the BTC. Once the rate hikes end, then would be the time to switch over. How the market and economy respond to the rate hikes/cuts is a factor as well.

By the development of technologies, the more people joining the cryptocurrency revolution, the more Bitcoin value will appreciate, which gave it retains its current dominance. However, I am sure that it will be the good for holding rather than keeping USD, especially, holding long term, thus, I bet it will bring you some decent return in the near future.

I think that in Bear Market the best option is to stay long on USD. You will have a chance to rebuy BTC on the lower price when the market will turn its direction.

staying long inside USDT is never a good idea. you should always treat this altcoin with extreme caution.

as for bitcoin price and anything else, if you can't speculate the market it is awlays best to stay out which means going back to fiat or USD if you want and then jump back in whenever you felt like the bear market is over.

I think having a separate portfolio for holding and another separate portfolio for day trading will be a good idea.
One can then decide to stay long on either BTC or USD with the day trading portfolio.

stay long with Bitcoin I think is much better and profitable because Bitcoin is a coin that has the ability to continue to grow and have an increased price.
so it will be very profitable for the future. so I suggest choosing stay long with Bitcoin.

Being an hodler in this scenario may be better instead of day trading.

Depends on how you would risk btc. If you are believer then hodl but if you want to earn more money you can convert it to usd and buy when bear market occours. But remember dude than even crypto traders wants to double their profit by buying cheap prices.

I always think that the bear market is actually the most suitable time for investment, because the bear market has come at a very low level for all cryptocurrency prices. It is right to choose to buy at the lowest price, and the advantage of the usdt coin is that its price is very stable. Such a coin is suitable for hedging and is not suitable for investment, so I suggest you can store some BTC or ETH.

The harder and faster we fall the more likely we are to get a reversal that puts an end to this bear market. And see a lot of signs that bearish trend is over.

Now bitcoin has not yet risen so high in price to be afraid that it can depreciate for any reason. Therefore, I do not think that it is necessary to withdraw funds from bitcoin during its fall or stagnation. This is an extra waste of money for wasted movement. I will go long on BTC during bear market, isn’t it the principal of trading to buy low and sell high? I will stock up my BTC before it get on the next bull run.

The best way is to have free funds in such a market and at each fall to average their positions. Unfortunately, I have most of the money in coins that have sapped by more than 40%.

if you don't want to make gains then i will say stay in btc.. hold your btc untill bull run  and  sell your btc for  fiat i will sugest you to do something else  if you are not interested in trade because bull run is not going to start untill the end of this year..

It really depends on the person. Most people find their safe haven in USDT when there's a blood bath in the market and some people who really do believe in the technology of bitcoin hodl. We need to take advantage of these huge dips by investing more into bitcoin cos whether we like it or not the next halving is fast approaching and by next year we won't be able to see the same values of bitcoin.

usd prices are very stable and useless to keep for too long, to get a big advantage should store on bitcoin value, bitcoin more promising in appeal usd

its really hard to decide in this kind of situation, but for me, if I would be ask which one I'm gonna choose, I'll go for btc, its price is low compared to its price last year.

I must say that if you are able to go for investing in bitcoin and that you are having this much of the patience that you can hold it for longer time, then there can be no other better way of investing your money as holding of the bitcoin can help you in making of lot more money than any other investment as the market value will keep rising higher, thus will add more money in your account.

Why bought crypto if you will Hodl it as USDT. If you don't wantbto invest in btc then why not buy other potential altcoins. Converting to USDT is preferable when in bullesh market in order to keep safe the profits.

i think for now its better to save usd rather than hold your bitcoin, because now market still unstable and suddenly can be loss in no time..

For crypto just take bitcoin to stay, never take another because the market is slow and unpredictable ( for now ). Even bitcoin has low price and action price moving, Bitcoin is the main purposes and way to get income. As the main you should stay with it with out ask. I think it's better to stay longer in BTC, and now the market has been fixed for several months. It's meaningless to change to USDT at this time, it will make you lose many opportunities. I think there is not much bubble in the market now.

At the moment, I think it's best to keep all of your investments in the BTC, although its price has fallen sharply but after a while it will definitely begin to grow and it will be a good growth that will give us good money.

I think it is better to keep holding your bitcoin or even buy more now that the price is low so you can sell and make more profit when the market recovers because when it recovers, the price of coin will rise and bitcoin has the potential to rise higher than other coin.

I guess it depends on your on how fast you trade the btc or how patient you are to hold. When it drops, buy more. There is a tread line you can follow. If it drops even more, buy even more. Don't be afraid of the swings. Sometimes the problem of impatience is CASH.

Holding BTC will be a more safe option because no matter what, BTC price will go high in an event if there is a dip in a market, but cannot be sure of other coin holdings. But if you want to avoid price fluctuations & want to invest in other coins & want to track those investments in USD then you can convert your BTC in USDT so in case the market goes down your holdings in USDT won't get affected much of it.

Let's face it, bear market in the crypto world is just part of the market cycle and not all the time crypto's are performing always on bear trend. There will be time for the bullish market to take over after the bear market so I think that you should hold your btc and buy more during the bear season. We have two options we can hold Bitcoins this is the safest option because the bitcoin price will definitely grow in next 6 months. another option is you can convert it into altcoins it is risky but more profitable if your altcoins price increases. Once the Bitcoin price start to increase altcoins price also increase but altcoins price quickly increases 100% in this bearish market also some altcoins fluctuating 30-40% if the market turns full green then double profit is confirmed this is my opinion.

Bitcoin profit of decreasing and increasing is like a game on the court. The shifting of momentum from one side to other because there are just two sides on the game. Once you lost your bitcoin you lose your usd because you cannot own bitcoin without money. Money gives measurement of value. I am staying Ethereum in this bear market and invest ico's. I am getting more ethereum.  but with good choices in ico's.

I will HOLD on to my Bitcoin Investment, base on the market preview on the market price movement on Bitcoin, it more beneficial to investment in Bitcoin compared to USD. Yes, market is Volatile and this apply to both Bitcoin and USD. anything can happened at any given time, but i am more optimistic that once the Bitcoin resistance break, the price value of Bitcoin will goes up to a more comfortable level.

Yes if we have spare money then we can buy more bitcoin in the deep so this is very big advantage for trader or investor who have more capital to buy back.
But the problem is for small trader who dont have much capital, for me its better to save in fiat in bearish market.

In my opinion it's safe to stay on crypto better than usdt.. because your usdt isn't gonna increase.. but your btc will boom in the usdt value.. if the market is bearish it's better to buy some more btc than staying at usdt..

It is always advisable to have Tether at all times to buy more during dips. If you're already in a significant loss as most people are during this bearish season, it is not advisable to hedge in Tether. Going long on Tether is always advised on when the Bull run is at its peak and there are traces of retrace men on the chart.

Personally I think that market will not be dumped too much so staying in criptocurrency is the best way. One day the market could be pumped and you will have to buy "expensive" coins

Yeah, I agree with the opinion that to stay long on USDT. Actually, I already converted a half of my assets into USDT.
Now, I only waiting for the good entry to buy back again.

As a trader, I am holding most of my BTC. I have however cashed out some of the alt coins as I a not much confident with them now after seeing unstable market.

Every person will have the different opinion about it, it depends on how their point of view.

yes that's the least action with could take and maybe it is one of the most reliable move to make. so in short, you should diversify your portfolio, it is easy to say but hard to do. let's just say divide your funds according to your needs and for investment, along with your savings and emergency funds.

I think it's better to change it into BTC because most of the tokens are already at a very low price.
So you don't know when the bull market will come and it's a good time to convert to BTC.

I think holding our money in BTC is profitable for a long time, Now already the price went to bottom i don't think this will go below $5k so if we hold our coins in BTC after few months defiantly we can make a good profit. Altcoins are not safe but BTC is safe.

If you want to go long then its definitely better to put your money in bitcoin but I prefer to hold usd so if I find a good trading opportunity then I can buy it right away. Well if you are lucky to stay in USD before the bear market start then you are lucky because you can always buy more btc when it dips so well. But if the bearish caught you then you just have to stay strong and wait for a re-bounce.

I prefer to stay long with bitcoin because with the long survival in bitcoin would be good and could be back to a stable and profitable price, and I do not like Bear market because it affects the crypto market and is still up and down

Depending on how you mean best. If the best in terms of security then USD is certainly safer and the risks therein are not great. But if your talking about the best in results then crypto or the main choice is bitcoin can be taken.
