Title: I'm trying to buy some bitcoin or litecoin
Post by: Oddyseous on May 24, 2018, 10:06:20 PM
I'd like to buy some bitcoin or litecoin (ltc because less sharp ups and downs) but i'm having trouble figuring out the best way to go about this. I'd also prefer to do so anonymously... I could use some help. I live in the middle of no where basically so I doubt anyone out here would have some to trade in person. Any help is appreciated.

The best way to buy bitcoins and litecoins in the middle of nowhere is via credit card but that might not keep you anonymous. In what country do you live by the way? Buying bitcoins and litecoins can differ from one region to another(because in some countries buying is easier) and other users can give you a more efficient way to do what you wanted to even if you are in the middle of nowhere.

How about go to currency exchange section in this forum, and create thread if you want buy some btc/ltc? Atleast it no need kyc verification. So, you can buy it anonymously.

The only way to be completely anonymous is by buying using Cash." find someone interested from online seller sites or any forum."
The more documents you provide, the more secure and in large quantities you purchase.
Generally, no payment is entirely anonymous because you will need to return to the financial system either in case of buying/selling bitcoins.

Offtopic tip: Always Use an escrow service when dealing with unknown parties.

In USA many peoples are trade in Cash deposit and few peoples are accepting the transfer with specific bank. So you only decide your convenient way. Because many sites are available in USA but my country localbitcoins is the best platform. If you like to LBC you should try to buying this site.

Pretty much if you want to be as anonymous as possible you would buy peer-to-peer; though living in the middle of nowhere, pretty difficult I must say.

The way I would go with this personally is to purchase some sort of online game currency using PayPal, then sell that certain game currency for Bitcoin. Pretty inconvenient inded(depending on how active the game's economy is), but this is probably how I would do it.

Why does it even matter where you live ? You dont have to do this in person at all and that is why they took some efforts back in 2009 to create the whole decentralised blockchain system. Using which you can trade anywhere anytime in the whole world. Thats the main principle of the dam thing.

May be you have not studied the market properly. You can buy the LTC or BTC or basically any kind of crypto currencies over the exchanger, you r country's wallet and much more online ways like localbitcoin services.

So forget about the whole in person meeting thing. It doesnt matter at all.

Just be brave, patient and calm you will succeed in the Crypto market. I know there are a lot of people who are good at predicting the right trend of pennies and that they decide to invest in them, but that little change in the penny is down and they are not patient enough to wait for them. So they made the wrong decision.

The reason in person would be nice is I could use cash and that's the most anonymous way to purchase it, I've been around the crypto community off and on a lot including these forums. Would a money order be the best way? When I say I'm in the middle of no where USA, I mean i'm outside city limits and that city has 200 people.

If you want to inverse for long term ,you can choose the litecoin. The price of litecoin is low and you will get litecoin at low price. If you hold it for one year ,you will double or triple of your investments. If you want to inverse for the short term, you can choose the bitcoin. When the price reaches maximum, you will get profit for that.

Then you don't have a choice but to choose the method you aren't comfortable. You care for anonymity so deal with available option where you can stay private.

Like everyone is mentioning here, direct trade from other people is the best method for you. It doesn't mean you will meet on person but there are guidelines for that so both parties will be treated fair. Consult your local community first or find local group at any platforms (social media, telegram etc.)

But for me, I don't mind giving my info to Coinbase if that is the only way*. Fortunately, we have local exchanger here so buying bitcoin via fiat is just one click away.

Well I see you have a internet and you can use that credit card if you have one. Buy bitcoin or litecoin? I suggest bitcoin, thereusnothung wrong with bitcoin and I have nothing against btc. It is just BTC is really a helping hand and a ling term risk situation andbase from what I read from the OPs litecoin is better for OP.

Also maybe you have a 7/11  store or any store that allows you to buy BTC. If you have that kind of store and purchased BTC you can trade it in litecoin so it is still safe no need to trade it with person to person.

I think that at this point you should buy bitcoin, you can see that the price of bitcoin is fluctuating very strongly and the current time is showing signs of convergence and convergence. Therefore, bitcoin prices are going to fluctuate. I believe that bitcoin prices will end the down cycle and will increase in the long run according to the annual cycle.

... because less sharp ups and downs...

regarding this part you should not just look at price numbers but instead you should look at how much they really are changing. percentages are best in this situation.
for example going from $20000 to $10000 is a $10000 drop in other words it is 50% drop.
also going from $400 to $200 is a $200 drop but that is also a 50% drop.
at first look these two may seem very different and you may think the first one is a bigger drop but in fact they both are the same thing.

Did you read the main post? He wants to buy it anonymously. Using credit card to buy bitcoin won't be keeping you anonymous. Even with credit cards you will have limits and will have to submit KYC documents which is actually another form of document to keep eyes on you. His best way is to deal through peer to peer system/face to face or exchange giftcards/prepaid cards for bitcoins.

I would like to welcome if you are a new in cryptocurrency, if you want to buy digital assets you can use a credit card for fiat deposit, you can use an exchanger that does not require kyc or even oblige it, your choice is good  for both types of digital assets, If you have no a credit card, maybe you can buy a voucher from a trusted person, I can not recommend who that person is  :)

Why do compare litecoin with bitcoin. ???
Bitcoin is the treasure. If you had invested in bitcoin,I am dam sure you will get profit for sure. Now the raise of litecoin is not very high.
Every people like to inverse in the asset which give more profit. So I will suggest you to inverse on bitcoin than litecoin.

If the time is now, buy BTC will be better, because the price of the coins are down. This is an opportunity for professional investors. They always buy and buy as many shares as possible, in the next few months or June, the price of coins will increase again and we will have a huge profit margin.

I have some doubts, how much dollars do you want to inverse in this coins. If you want to inverse less than 200$,you can choose litecoin .Now the price of litecoin is 114$,you will get more than 1LTC .As the price of litecoin increase ,the entire property get into your pocket. This is advantage of crypto currency over other asset.

We always try some other coins as well but as far as this crypto world is concerned, you mustn’t be so stupid to just jump from one to another. This isn’t right approach rather you must think of a better coin and do proper research about that and then come into the ground. Only then, you can earn big money and all your goals would become resonating with your effort and you would earn handsome money.

No need to buy just join bounty program and you'll get free coin that you can use for your further activity ( trade/ invest ). I believe today technology can use anytime anywhere, you only need to find the solutions for your problem. Just advice, wait until next month for buying activity. The price to slow and can make your money stuck.

Do you think all the bounty campaigns are really gives the money for their participants? No one will accept that as true mate. I know how the bounty scams tried to target the promotion and take the money out it bro.
If you join in btc or ethereum payable signature campaign you will be able to get the coins to you. Then do not consider forum earnings and investment together mate. There is big possibilities to find the profit with investment.

So far I never recommend anyone to go for any altcoins as I do believe into only bitcoins; still, buying the most reputed altcoins at bottom is not a bad idea anyway. But the fact we need to consider here, we cannot be sure about that litecoin has already hit the bottom of current times. Only after that the confirmation about that, we may think about any altcoins beyond bitcoins.

Considering the litecoin similar to silver may not be an universal truth all the times like how we consider bitcoin to gold. I mean to say these comparisons were made by us and when a coin is lagging in real time applications then they may get lower valued over time. Only because of these comparisons, if you go to invest into litecoins then only the luck factor may save you in coming months not any research nor analysis.

To be honest, it is certain that buying Bitcoin is the best choice and even better than the other cryptocurrencies, because with that coin you can make a guaranteed profit   in a short , middle and  especially in a  long term because in  this period the are many problems which led to a significant reduction. In addition to that, Litecoin is  a profitable coin but I do not think that this cyrptocurrency will rise with a huge value. Maybe just a little pump .  I advise you to buy Ethereum and Ripple , they are better than Litcoin.

This time I believe you should only buy bitcoin, you can see that the market is fluctuating continuously and the price of altcoin is constantly decreasing, so investing in altcoin is very risky and you can lose Very badly if bitcoin prices drop sharply. The market is bearish in the long term so the bitcoin price could drop sharply at any time.

You cannot buy any substantial amount of bitcoins on any exchange (including peer to peer) without having a dimension of doing KYC. Its a must to do kyc so as to know you are not a scammer. Secondly, I would advice you to buy bitcoin more than litecoin as this is the best investment you can make in cryptocurrency

Because we don't indict the BTC price. But the Most suitation is the price is nearly to the boom. Then if you want to buy the Digital currency now. The best ways to invest a 30% total Amount. if the market remain  pump. you should add the space later at the lower price.

I do not even understand why he is trying to do it anonymously in the first place, when it is not like he is trying to hide something. Like you said, most exchanges now require KYC and unless he is fortunate enough to see some OTC way, without having to go through exchanges, or more like a peer to peer thingy, then there is no way he can get anything good. With respect to what to buy, that would actually be left for him to decide, but not without knowing what makes the two of them tick and which one would have better prospect in the long run. Obviously, anyone in their sane mind will go for Bitcoin.

Yes you can buy bitcoin or litecoin but what I can say  is that buy the asset that will pay you. If the price of bitcoin is down now you can buy to keep for future. However, if the price is not down litcoin will be the best to buy and keep.

Both coin has good fundamental so has probability to going up in multiple times. But in this downtrend is hard to know which level price is bottomed so for the better whenever you bought that coin always set stop loss and incase the price keep down you can buy back at lower price so you get bigger amount of coin.

When you buy Bitcoin and Litecoin, you have the benefit of holding them and waiting for prices to return to growth like last year. Bitcoin and Litecoin are still in the top ten in power so you can be assured of buying it at this time.

Well this may vary from place to place but what I know about this buying process, make sure what you are going to buy and from whom you would be buying? These two answers must be kept clear and legit. Because these two only would be categorizing your money in either fall or pass category. So, don’t be stupid that without learning you start buying things. Research properly and then go forward.

Why don’t you want to buy from exchanges? Doing so here is a very big risk because you’re making payment first to the person that will send the Bitcoin to your wallet. And what if after sending the money to the person and they refuse to send you the Bitcoin or LTC you ordered for? If you can’t find anyone in your location that is accepting Bitcoin then buy it from exchanges like Coinbase, Xapo and similar ones.

Nope, there are lots of wallets out there that don’t require KYC. And he’s not actually talking about the main trade, he just wants to but and HODL it till the price of Bitcoin goes up. So that means he wants to create a wallet and buy Bitcoin from the black market or so, that’s what he means by buying it anonymous. Even if he’s going to make use of wallets like Xapo or Coinbase, those ones doesn’t require giving out much of your info, just your email and you’re set to go. The only time you will have to give fill info is when you request for their debit card.

I believe there shouldn't be a question ask here because it's too obvious to say that it's indeed bitcoin. Especially now that we're near to touch its all time low and it's a good entry point and that will mean an easy profit

I'd also prefer to do so anonymously... I could use some help. I live in the middle of no where basically so I doubt anyone out here would have some to trade in person. Any help is appreciated.

If you're aware how risky to trade in person then you'll refrain from thinking of it because it might caught you in a real trouble. So better yet buy on trusted exchange sites as you can freely buy as many as you can without thinking getting compromise.

I would say that for now it is really good time to buy some cryptocurrencies because you can see Ehter down to $250 and it's a really good sign that all the prices will go up just the same as it was around 7 months ago when Ether was also $250.

That bad to hear that you have been going in deficit due to depreciation in the values of cryptocurrency. But you are still optimistic about the future of your investment and that is a good thing for it keeps you alive in the crypto market. About the current investment at a lower cost, I would say that no doubt it is one good chance to invest again and get the worth of the coins you invest in maximized in future as the price rise ahead.

None of them are regulated (yet) and only individuals with the highest capacity for risk should get into the cryptocurrency market. So no one knows whether any cryptocurrency will increase in value.

Bitcoin remains the most visible and frequently traded cryptocurrency and Litecoin offers its own advantages like faster transactions, potential for profitable mining etc.

Litecoin is the third best coin in the market bro. There is some certain amount of volume in the litecoin that is top 5 in that list too. Then how do you tell that LTC is the shit coin. However comparatively in price you will be able to find the coin at good price.

Please separate the investment in two halves one Bitcoin should have 70 percent and other LTC can be go with 30 percentage. Then without verifying you none of the exchange providing service recent days.

This week has been a tough one for cryptocurrencies as the total market capitalization dropped to $228 billion, which is roughly 24% down from the July 27 high of $300 billion and significantly removed from the $830 billion market cap of December .

This also indicates that the price is fluctuating less for the past week only ,
So I think that Bitcoin now is pretty buyable but at your own risk . Hold your coins if you already have any , we might see some hike possiblity in a couple of months .

The most anon way of doing it is via cash on localbitcoins. If you find someone you can trust , meet with them and give them cash and they give you bitcoin to your account that you use on some exchange or even a dice casino or sorts, that is as untraceable as it gets. Now I am not saying that is untraceable because I know internet and I know people so if someone wants to they probably can find you anyway however at least you make it really harder for them and only the great ones can find out.

Do it this way and you can get bitcoins or litecoins or whatever you want via cash as an anon who noone knows that has any bitcoins at all.

You can see that LTC has increased by 11% in the past 24 hours, so I believe that at this point you should not continue buying LTC, I think you can buy bitcoins at this point when the bitcoin price goes up. pegged at $ 6500 in the past day and is showing signs of continuing to rise slightly. Always have a plan to minimize risk.

I think you should only invest in bitcoin at this point, you can see that the market is in the downtrend phase and the price of bitcoin will probably drop sharply at any time and then the price of altcoin will drop sharply. and you can not handle it. So for the sake of security, I believe you should only buy bitcoin at this time and divide your capital so that you can continue to sell bitcoin when the price drops.

Litecoin is really good and has made the coinmarketcaplist as the number seven on the list. After a long time of being rejected by investors,  everything just changed and the price got up and investors started rushing it. I believe it is really good so if you want to go for it, you can do that. Bitcoin, we already know that one is the best and highly recommended by everyone so I really don’t need to talk about it.

Price level should be the criteria for choosing one asset, I do see many people are making such mistake while comparing the different assets. This fact can be proved by analyzing how much returns you will get for same amount of investment with litecoin and bitcoin for same time frame.

You mean you have problem of expose of your details.. Then here in my opinion it will be much better for you to go at the localbitcoins exchange , where you can buy and sell assets directly from the buyers and sellers easily without expose of your details ( any payment system that you like much ) .
And also there are many options available with that help you can buy easily bitcoin and litecoin , most probably you can found bitcoin and altcoins traders in your local district , region and there you can make your deals privately without knowing another people .
And also you can buy directly with virtual debits cards , for exmaple you can make virtual debit card at small wallets platforms and that can be use at the exchange sites to buy and sell assets directly with that wallets .
So use simple methods of privacy and no one will easily identify you .

No altcoin is better than bitcoin and indeed he should invest in this digital currency first. Like you have already said, now is the best time to purchase some bitcoin because it is suffering through a decline. It is the most fundamental rule of trading world, “Buy Low, Sell High”. This is the reason why we have dips with us. Bitcoin holds a bright future so waiting is wasting.
