The next question is if the dev is going to hang around, or will be off in a day or 2 like most of the others?
It will need a block chain, website, giveaways etc. He must have plenty after the speed the first blocks were mined.

leveldb is broken in your source, so one can't compile on linux.

I've copied over leveldb from Metiscoin and compiling as we speak.

Hi took a risk and got my laptop cpu going and found a block but don't want to keep it on much longer, if anyone can message me a working guide on how to mine minicoin using digitalocean, I will pay them 5000 minicoin!

How to Cloud Mine MINICOIN on Digital Ocean

1. Sign Up for an SSD cloud server (https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=8949111a23b1) or log in if you already have an account.

2. Fund your account with some credit ($10 recommended)

3. Click 'Create Droplet' to get your instance running

4. Select the specifications you wish to mine on as well as the newest Ubuntu x64 as your image. You get "hashespersec" : ~308946, on 8 threads using the 8 Core plan. You can also consider using lower specifications.

5. Your username and password will be emailed to you within 55 seconds

6. Log in to your droplet via SSH

I have been mining with digital ocean droplet. (2 core 4GB, 40$) I have acquired 1700 in about 2.5 days. I recommend digital ocean for CPU coin launch only not much profit after 2 weeks. I did pretty good during PRT launch, 10000, i joined mining pool 4 days late

No idea, but mining costs seems to be about $40 for 20,000.
That would make it 2BTC per million as a mining cost using a VPS. Usually for a young coin the mining costs outweighs the value, but who knows.

The http://mini.minepool.cc/ pool is either EXTREMELY overloaded or not functioning at all. Cannot connect miner, cannot log in to site to withdraw all the coins I've mined since Day 1. When I *can* log in, their pool can't connect to RPC server to validate addresses.

Looks like the pool is dead and people's coins are gone :/

Looks like pools are not overloaded (http://mini.minepool.cc/ worked like a charm for me even with 3 mGhash load), they are getting ddosed to eleminate competition to some greedy miners (lower net hashrate --> lower difficulty) >:(

Yeah, what I meant is that for the difficulty to be so high, obviously it is being heavily mined. But given the attention it is getting here you would expect that is is dead! Whereas it is far from in mining terms.

Ok, haven't even got the wallet yet so didn't know what the "correct" price would be. Just figured a block being 20,000 means many people have multiple millions and the whales have tens of millions so few might want to sell a little.

I think it will take some time to hit an exchange, but no doubt the coin is very popular, the network has much more hash power and miners that many other older CPU coins that are already in exchange markets, this one has a bright future :)

That's a bit cheap, takes ages to mine 250k with this difficulty ;) Current block #37305 is which means block reward is only 2,500 coins. Soon 40,000 blocks and reward is only 1,250..
