If you like old coins, you should choose to buy and hodl coins in top coinmarketcap. such as bitcoin, eth, xrp, etc.
the coin is for long terms because of the not-so-significant movement. different from the new coins from ICO. it could be that coin from ICO after success with their sales. in the mid term will rise up to 100% -1000% even more.

but I have followed many bounty and many are scam.

Long time or mid-long time is confusing. You don't have to hold for a long, long time, mate. Just know about your profits limit. Like you bought EOS coin by 12$, after few months if EOS goes to 20$ Then what will you do? Hold for more extended time or sell? Crypto coin will not grow all the time; they will go down again and again. That's why I prefer long mid time as you asked in Poll.

in this year I am holding Ethereum and Ripple because for the moment I have long-term investment in both coin, Ethereum and Ripple have good potential to rise in the future because since the first coin this appeared quite setabil.

It's up for you to decide, as I see so many opposite opinions here, some decide to hold BTC, some go for new technologis as IOTA, EOS, IOST, and other just invest in Ripple waiting for big whales to pump it. I'm in the second group, I see that 4th generation blockchain and other technological solutions are really neded now and should be supported.

Cryptos that generate profits for long term hold are always tokens backed by a long run developement stage before the token take its real value in the market which will assume low volatility and high circulating volume. Now a days only coins from the Top 100 are the best one. With the time however they are also getting nerve wrecking as they fall in the distributed volume and thus it gets really nasty how they become unsuccessful in the long terms. So if you want to choose then try to choose from top 50 as they will have largest volume of all time. For me the best suited LONG term holders are XRP, IOST, NEM, NEO, SCL, JNT etc. They are both undervalued as well as within top 10 and 50. for long term mate i suggest jibrel, eos and bouts pro token  because that 3 altcoin show a good performance last month which is mid of may. there are only a few Coins that have good prospects. for altcoin in my opinion there is not much choice. only a few Coins like etherum, ripple and Neo Coin have a good prospect rate to make a long-term investment. this is because most altcoins are only suitable for use as a short-term investment. honestly I would not dare to take the decision to invest in a less popular coin, I do it to avoid the occurrence of losses in the investment that I do.

I think for a long time it's better to choose a coin with a fundamental. I expect a good profit from ADA, NEO, ZIL, XVG and more other. For speculation was good EOS, but I did not have time to buy it at a good price.

I am prefer mid term. Mid term in opinion is up to six month. Within 6 month a coin can be performed very well. We can understand the coin has a potential or not.i normally get profits from mid term. Do not judge by a week even its lost 50% of your capital.

 It will be fine as BtC goes up but most things will be. If you are looking to go long on Bitdegree and understand why you are investing in it, yes buy it (full disclosure, I’m invested in it and believe it will do well) if you are looking for a quick swing, there are better options than Bitdegree.
