Now DOGE to the Moon :)
This is the hot topic on reddit. The recent price raise in DOGE is becoz of this only. After the recent success of jamaican fund raising - http://www.reddit.com/r/bestof/comments/1vo71d/the_dogecoin_subreddit_raised_30000_for_the/ , now they turned towards India - http://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/1wk1x4/dogecoin_helps_to_send_yet_another_olympian_this/ Title: Re: DogeCoin Helps Indian Atheletes to Winter Olympics Post by: techguy on January 31, 2014, 04:24:40 AM Wild speculation....
Now people will start promoting MoonCoin / Coinye coin in the similar lines to boost their prices ;) Title: Re: DogeCoin Helps Indian Atheletes to Winter Olympics Post by: techguy on January 31, 2014, 04:34:04 AM Did you guys know? http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/dogecoin-community-helps-send-indian-athletes-winter-olympics-1434515 http://uk.news.yahoo.com/dogecoin-community-helps-send-indian-athletes-winter-olympics-150924693.html#scA7PTO The worst thing about this is the reason India got banned in 2012. But with a good domestic media coverage about this we can get the crypto-community in India, an advantage RBI has correctly predicted the power of DOGE coin, that's why they included it in the initial public warning statement. lol ;) How about starting a 'India Coin' ::) ? May if we all (Indians) donate even small amounts, we can help them raise more. We amend our mistake of electing the wrong leaders Title: Re: DogeCoin Helps Indian Atheletes to Winter Olympics Post by: Benson Samuel on January 31, 2014, 10:27:17 AM Did you guys know? http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/dogecoin-community-helps-send-indian-athletes-winter-olympics-1434515 http://uk.news.yahoo.com/dogecoin-community-helps-send-indian-athletes-winter-olympics-150924693.html#scA7PTO The worst thing about this is the reason India got banned in 2012. The rest of the ecosystem would need contributions from others as well. We would need a mining pool, faucet, exchange integration, etc.. The main thing is to have a timelock white list added to it . if that is solved it can be created specifically for india. otherwise its going to just another altcoin. An alt-coin with majority of its publicity across India, may enable a higher % of funds to be retained in India rather than being mined from outside. We should enable global mining as that gives Indians a way to reach farther and engage in barter on a global scale. That is why i said it should have a time lock whitelist, let it be mined in india for about 3-6 months and then the whitelist expires and lets every one around the world joins in. That is really tough to achieve. I brainstormed it for some time but there is no way I could find decentralized approach to restrict mining geographically. but in the process I realized true power of Bitcoin and can see the real innovation and technical genius behind Bitcoin protocol. I will get a thread started on the alt coin sub section.
