Ethereum tokens and bitcoin differ but explain which is more beneficial to you? Why? Which is worth more?

Edit: It's opinion based. I'm asking which you prefer in any scenario (i.e investing, holding, ico) and then explain your reasoning.

I mean, in theory there could be a couple needles in that haystack of scams and bad projects. But when comparing the whole lot to Bitcoin, it's not even close really.

Your question is not clear. Do you mean doing a campaign that pays in bitcoin as against a campaign that pays with tokens? If that is what you mean, I think paying in tokens is more beneficial. But that would depend on the type of coin you are paid with and if it has real good price later in the future.

Coins or tokens are regarded as cryptocurrencies, even all the coins do not function as a currency or medium of exchange.
Tokens are a particular asset or utility. I think Bitcoin have the more worth because of exchange time.

yyu may be referring to the erc20-tokens that exist on the ethereum network. For me, ICO-shaped project token is more risky than bitcoin because it is prone to pumping and dumping when the token has been listing in various crypto markets let alone the movement of tokens is still referring to the movement of bitcoin. Talk advantage, tokens are faster than bitcoin because the benefits we can get in the near future when the pumping occurs when listing in one market crypto.

depends on what you are looking for. ethereum tokens are mostly using ERC20 token standard. they are utility tokens and provides you some benefits of a project. and sometimes they are very profitable for investment as well. on the other case bitcoin is the major crypto currency domiinating all the crypto market.

Just as a whole, you can answer as a campaign or investing in or getting paid. I just want opinions are which is more beneficial to different people and why. Everyone always has a preference to different things. Thanks for answering.

If you mean while in a campaign, I say it even varies because bitcoin is easily sold and when you are broke, you can prefer bitcoin to token. On the other side, if you don't really need to convert to fiat immediately, you can have the patience to wait for tokens at the end of the icos.

But if you considering having a more profit in short time period , i think ethereum tokens will mostly help you.(if token is good)

If i understand your question well. First bitcoin worth more than any token, which i feel everyone knows, including you. Then if you talk of the one i prefer to hold. I prefer holding bitcoin for long term, but when it comes to short term hold, i would go for tokens.

If you need more profits and accept high risks - tokens is your choice . Investing or trading tokens can be much more profitable comparing to btc trading , because tokens are much more volatile . But of course , there are a bigger risks too , because tokens can lose 30-50% of value in one single day . So Bitcoin or Tokens is only your choice .

In investment? People still invest in bitcoin though its been quiet long that it did not really kicked back in price but ethereum has different role i think. People regard bitcoin as a store of value, an asset, though ethereum is also strong, but i seldom hear investors invest in ethereum.

If the comparison is a token with bitcoin, it is very clear that the bitcoin is the most superior and useful. But I do not understand the point of your question. Basically both are very useful and can provide great benefits.

Yes in the short run, a good ERC20 token can make your day, but Bitcoin has got years and a vast community behind it, so it can be expected to be relatively stable. One more thing to take note of, is the fact that Bitcoin remains the flagship cryptocurrency and whatever affects it positively or negatively, trickles down on all altcoins.

If it's a dump phase in bitcoin then I like tokens as tokens go pretty cheap in case of a market dump as people are afraid to buy tokens due to low support in bitcoin and also many people sell their tokens in order to gain cheap bitcoins. And if it's a pump phase then I would definitely go for bitcoins as it will be easy for me to sell my bitcoins when I need them. But as everyone have their own preferences it's upto them whether they want token or bitcoin.

For me, Bitcoin is always the strongest and most important currency. And I'm sure no one can deny its effect on the whole market. Ethereum is also a strong currency, but it still loses Bitcoin.

Yes, both are profitable in their way, bitcoin has a solid background, profitable in every way, its a matter of time, also in tokens where the profit is huge but has also a risk. all this need a research and patience in able to gain some profit.

You don't have to choose one of them.

You can invest a part of your money on bitcoin and a part on altcoins (or tokens, like you call them). The part of your investment which is on bitcoin is more secure. The part which is on altcoins is more risky, but has the potential to give you much much more profit, if you know what're you doing and choose wisely.

Anyway, you have to respect the Risk-management. So you can't simply say "Bitcoin or Tokens". I would say "both" and even more "Bitcoin, Tokens and Dollars". Why?
1. Because you should have dollars to buy Bitcoin if it falls.
2. You have to hold Bitcoin, as it is the most strong crypto and you can buy the other tokens for BTC when they fall in BTC-price
3. The altcoins are much more profitable than BTC, but also much more fluctuating.

Depends on how much you are willing to risk and how long can you hold your patience. If you are looking for less risky option go for bitcoin. You won't be making a huge profit in short term, but you will be making a good profit in the long run. The profit is like almost guaranteed. But if you are looking for making some quick profit (luck plays a huge factor here), then invest on some tokens which have just ended (usually the price gets dumped as soon as an iCO ends and gets listed on an exchange) and hope for a huge profit. Though this option is way riskier.

bitcoin is more valuable than any crypto. in the value of clear price, bitcoin is extremely high and expensive when compared to another crypto. in fact, every year bitcoin always have elevated the prices are great and will certainly make bitcoin is increasingly becoming an increasingly valuable thing including for investment.

I might choose a token. Bitcoin is too big to expect multiplication like the past. I know the risks will be bigger, but maybe the new project is the coin I need to pursue what I miss. And when compared to the current Bitcoin situation, I think I'm still on the right track.

If you're looking closely at current market conditions, you won't fail to see that because Bitcoin is experiencing market correction, so have all other coins and tokens, so it's not like we have any coin/token yet, that's immune from whatsoever that affects Bitcoin. Like most people, I think both are in all the investment plans. First of course I want to get the benefits of Bitcoin first, then little by little will build a complete portfolio. If you are investing you can choose altcoins since there are many altcoins that can provide a lot of income to investors or traders. The best way is hold as BTC as altcoins. If you check criptocurrency market trends for last  year you will see that the best option was holding as BTC as altcoins 50/50.

I always prefer Holding method for all my investments. Currently I am having X % of BTC in my account which I am holding without touching it. That is I only sell a % of it if I am in emergency situation or if I really need for something really urgent. However I do refill my quota back to where it was and thus keeping the balance of it.

However, ETH is something futuristic investment and being cheap one, I am trying to invest more and more money into it. Cheap ? Yes, cheap as compared to bitcoin. And who knows what ETH might bring in the future as BTC did very well over few years.

You compare two great coins, making people confused in choosing between them. Bitcoin is the number one coins in the world that has been very successful, Bitcoin journey is quite mature. While Ethereum also has a good roadmap. Why in the world would you compare the king of the cryptocurrency to tokens? Are you serious op? Tokens exist thanks to Bitcoin which is why this is a very silly question. Bitcoin will always be the king of the cryptocurrency world and tokens will always depend on Bitcoin for their survival to an extent in some way or another. Even the popular altcoins like Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin etc depend on Bitcoin and its popularity for their survival.

Me I would pick bitcoin,  if I were you lets invest in this one  it can be a long term but basing on the charts, the market value of bitcoin is low but that is the good and right time to do so. You invest and hold it until bitcoin market value rises up and you well see you will earn it.

I know not all the people here are totally supporting bitcoin "only" portfolio's. You have been suggested to diversify and one of the option can be any of those erc20 based tokens.
Some of those tokens are not listed to an exchange so why waste your time to stay with it if you have no way to trade it? bitcoin can be sold and bought everywhere so the convenience of having it is why I like it most.
And comparing it to any coin doesn't fit, bitcoin will always prevail.

Well depending on the situation and your investment strategy. But I prefer Token this time over Bitcoin because Bitcoin's market capitalization is too large to make a large profit unless you have a large capital and you timed the pump right. Meanwhile for Tokens, you could get them for free with their own bounty and you wouldn't have to risk money in it unless you invest. Also, newly created tokens doesn't have a market cap yet, meaning, you could gain a lot of profit from it but at the same time not. It's riskier to invest in Token but the reward is high.

Imo every single crypto portfolio should have at least 30-50% of its value in bitcoin (varying depending on alt-season/bitcoin bullrun imminent), the rest of the portfolio (so altcoins) are just a mean to stack more bitcoin (also the reason you should count your altcoin gains/losses in satoshis and not dollars)

You mean altcoins other than bitcoin. Bitcoin is a very tested coin in the market and bitcoin is the main coin, if you make a choice of course this is the best coin to hold. for me, tokens is worth. because bitcoin in my way is to hold and get my profits if the price increase. tokens for me is worth because i trade what i want and i used tokens for my earnings.

This is very common things, some parts of my portfolio I do the same. But with some parts, I will go for a day trading, or for a long run holding. It totally depends on the particular coin.

Bitcoin is actually worth more since a lot others are simply just like clones and repetitions anyway. However, some tokens which are attached to real life product are actually worth holding and investing as well based on the fact that the product can end up being used at large and that could erupt some huge demand for it. The idea is to hold something that is going to be worth it and sustainable in value in the long run anyway.

Bitcoin. I'm not exactly a Bitcoin maximalist but, as one member put in his profile, a "shitcoin minimalist". Bitcoin is the real deal and I can't see any other coin being as useful as they're intended to be. Even the big classic like Litecoin is slowly losing its purpose when Bitcoin LN is fully functional and mainstream.

I don't mind with ETH either because ETH is a solid project with a proven use case. But I can stand any shitcoin that was launched for the sake of launching. Their project doesn't necessarily need a new token/coin but they're having it anyway. There's only one direction for such tokens: down.

Token is a completely different structure. If you collect quality tokens, you will earn more money when they enter the market.
