With the wide array of altcoins available in the crypto market, how do you choose which one to invest on, which one to buy and which of these altcoins worth holding?

Yes too many altcoin in the market, and will be hard to know which coin should be hold that will possible to give huge reward, so we should be sharing with others expert who more understanding the technical and fundamental of the project. We can not work alone to make research so many coin and we should work together with others to analysis and find the good coin. I also usually follow  some expert in crypto in twitter and they will give information which coin can be has great potential in their tweet

You look at the prospect, that is roadmap. You look at the maximum supply, what purpose and solution the coin will remedy. Although, some of these criteria might fail. In other words, there are no sure way to know the better once so you rather invest in the top coins if you have the money.

Almost 1200 coins in traded in this crypto market but if wiling to invest from those coins and confused which one to select then go to coinmarketcap and select from top 20 coins. And then go to their site and study well about that coin. Check how much that coin will be effective to solve the problems for that purpose its launched. And check their developer and advisory team how much experienced they are. So now if you feel that coin have potential future then invest and hold for profit.

Go through the project development process, the team behind the project, the community that supports the project and of course the use case of the project before investing in that. Make yourself satisfied with all question in mind.

Lots of altcoins in the market but not every coin is good enough. Regarding coinmarketcap, within 1500 Plus Altcoins, I think only 200 Coins are useful for hold or trade.  Before hold, you may look at their roadmap, popularity, hype! I think top 50 Altcoins are the best decision for the grip and trade.

Yes, the market is currently flooded. Especially with many projects that want to reach the same goal.
Not all of those projects can succeed and be the nr.1 in their respective field. I'd like to see more collabs between those projects, this would definitley speed up many processes - the only thing holding them back is probably greed. Everyone wants to take the nr.1 spot and claim all the profits for themselves - kinda sad, but crypto has always been also about money, not only technology.

Definitely, we are already in an overcrowded market and it can get confusing to choose which ones of the many choices will really make it as good and profitable and which ones to avoid at all costs. There is no stopping anyone or a team to launch their own alternative cryptocurrency or just any project that is using the blockchain technology. Sadly, so many of these projects or programs are just there for the sake of money and will eventually fold once things can get tougher. This is why we have to look at the team first and then look if the project really makes sense and is solving real-world problems. Many projects or actually super-majority of them will never be valuable months after they ended their ICOs and this is  sad for people who are planning to do the HODLing. I should know because many of the tokens I got last year are still with me and many of them lost enormous value compared to their ATH.

If my own opinion I usually look at the movement of the first coin in volume, if I was sure I usually buy it direct my own preferred coin ignis because a good volume movement

i'll try to go where the money is going! this means i try my best to find the pumps that are happening in the altcoin market and then invest in those coins while they are being pumped. this way i can make a quick profit without getting involved with any of the shitcoins or becoming a bag holder or losing money. of course the risks are still there but i do believe that with the strategy that i am using they are lower.

There are so many altcoins that it's impossible to do proper research on all of them. So i rely on a couple of sources to get ideas and information from.
I will do my own research from there on. I don't have the time for trading so i keep a bag of the projects i like. Besides that i think that the ICO system is
responsibly for the wild growth of coins, everybody wants a piece of the pie, it's easy to collect money fore funding a project or conducting a scam.
Regulation will put a halt to this although the damage is already done imo.

I agree, there are many altcoins in the crypto market this days and for me, I think it is considered a healthy environment for cryptocurrencies due to the emerging ICO's participating. This is also a good opportunity for the bounty hunters to earn profit and as to how you would select your best choice of coins, you must have to study your coin choices starting with the price chart history data for your analysis. In my case, I think for now, I would have to prefer first on the existing alts ranging from the top 20 coin ranks.

Because of too many altcoins showing up everyday it gets harder and harder to find a good investment, except this a significant amount of money is invested in scam projects mostly ICO's which cause dump on bitcoin and put overall market in minus. I guess you should just look for older projects where devs continuously have updated their code and helped community along, since they are more trustworthy and less riskier than investing in any ICO or new project.

Personally, I prefer only coins that have liquidity, and which are on good exchanges. The remaining 70% of the market is a lottery. Maybe those coins will sometime grow, but more likely they will just disappear

Having plenty of choices in the market, The value of bitcoins are getting sour because of competition, There must something to do, to regulate the the flow of coins in the market,  It is very hard to select which one has potential because of fast spreading of coins. The worst if you choose the fraud type of coins.

Yes are absolutely right, too many altcoins in the space, some with good intentions and well thought out solutions to problems, some are pure scams. But with research, you can easily decipher which ones are serious and which ones are just out to scam people of their hard earned money.

You just have to be smart with your decisions, that is all! You just have to choose few of the ones you believe in and hold on to them. The thing is you cannot choose everything and there would be some times you will end up missing even some good projects which you wish you would have invested in earlier, but as long as you are always putting your eyes and ears around to see what people are talking about, then you can use that to make some further research to know what you want to invest in or what you are not yet investing in.
For an investor in this space, you just have to never stop reading and doing some research once in a while but knowing that, trying to catch everything at the same time, can end up getting your hand burnt.

I think for speculation holding my suggestion we hold popular coin that was have name at many market..like eth ltc..their price will follow rate from bitcoin..and i belive if prico for bitcoin will up..eth ltc will go up too..but how strong  you can hold you balance since peice of bitcoin down

You cannot even do research on the first 100 on CMC without getting worked out but the good thing about the digital age is that people always share information on their investment which other investors can easily tap from and make further research. It is always good when one is confused by starting one's research on google on coin to invest in for that particular year, and there would be a lot of topics, which will guide one but it is important to always do further diggings as some may be paid articles, so, the necessity to check the team, product available and so on, should not be discarded.

My screening starts with the ranking of crypto currencies in the CMC. This website sorts out the rank according to the market capitalism and volume (24 hours) that is received by the coin. This way, the more the market cap the more is the rank and thus as an example, BTC is #1 because it has the greatest volume of all and market cap too.

Thus, I will choose Top 100 first so that I wont get confused with the rest 1500 coins in the market. These 100's at least ensures that they will not be dead anytime sooner than others.

After this, depending upon the current development, roadmap status, the coins which are on track, ahead of the time will get another preference. They come up.

Look you need to go through what the project is. If it suits you then go for it.
It will be easier to support one altcoin if you love it. Not just because of money.

Its really a tough decision to make for every trader but one important factor to take account is to choose those coins that represent projects with unique purpose/concept that can be developed over time.

You have to do fundamental analysis.

When choosing a coin, ask questions like:

1. What is this coin doing?
2. Is the problem being solved by the coin valuable?
3. Does the coin have a good chance of being successful at solving that problem?
4. Is it worth buying the coin at the current price?

If you ask those 4 questions, you will more than likely be able to choose good coins. For example, I recently bought a coin called Morpheus Network that answers all 4 questions really well. Let me demonstrate for you:

I choose altcoin in the top 10 of coinmarket. Before I sell it at short term but for now I do it in long term holding since the market is unstable right now. Better to hold right now than to gain small profit.

I'm looking at the top 100 but it doesn't mean I'm buying all of them. My way of choosing is if the altcoin has a very good community that's supporting it. I also don't buy centralized altcoins.

Looking at volume alone will not always help but for anyone considering long term, it is always better to look out for the prospect of the project so you can at least know you are holding a coin or token that is going to be sustainable and as well have a long term support.

 For a safer side of investment. First i pick up altcoins in top 10 category which I believe still undervalued. Second,  I filtered all the crypto listed in CMC and check their volume, community support , the team and what type they are going to solve. 99% of the altcoins which are getting newly listed are copycats and you need to ignore them. Normally I chose the coins with the best technology, such as Cardano and NEO. Another factor worth considering is the ratio of free-float to the total supply and the annual supply of coins.

Even then it’s sort of a guessing game but at least you can weed out some of the scam coins or the ones that are less likely to succeed.

Most of the coins on the market are absolute garbage, I would say 90% percent. To begin with investments, I think it is worth buying coins from the top 20 coinmarketcap for your portfolio, since investing in them is much less risk, these are assets with an already established ecosystem and a workable product (in most cases)

in my opinion, if too many altcoins appear every day it is getting harder and harder to find good investments unless this huge amount of money is invested in most ICO scam projects that cause a dump in bitcoin and put the whole market in minus. I tried my best to find the pumps that took place in the altcoin market and then invested on those coins as they were being pumped. in this way I can make a quick profit without getting involved with any of the Shitcoins or being a bag holder or losing money.
