Hi, let's remember bitconnect!
This was the most popular cryptocurrency pyramid, in which many lost their money. So, I'm one of them.
I was a fool and I believed that I could make a lot of money. In the end, I lost all my money.
I wonder how many such fools like me? Are there people who have earned on this?

At least, it's good that you acknowledge your mistake. I hope that you at least learned from it and never ever dive into similar schemes again.

YouTube shills mostly and the sick minds behind BitConnect. It's not for nothing that the YouTube shills in the end deleted most (if not all) of their content to prevent complaints, legal cases, etc. They were promoting something from which they know it was very likely a scheme, and that with their face on internet. They literally sold their sould to the devil, and as always, nothing good comes out of such practices.

Some people could have recouped at least a certain part of their investment, but they were stupid enough to reinvest. Just as with cloud mining, never reinvest 'earnings' since it will force you to start earning from scratch again.

Yes it is good to learn from your mistakes otherwise you will keep making the same mistakes...
Yeah best thing to do is avoid pyramid schemes in general - they've been around for years - just they come in different forms and shapes. Ultimately if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

And what? I don’t know that 30% per month is the specific of pyramid? Who  know the rules , that one can make money in such projects. ;D

Once this coin was around 100 USD and more even saw their promotion work for more than 1 year in 2k17 especially. If you want to invest you should be careful that you are not invested on the shit projects bro.
Wait for sometime till this year end if bumped enjoy with it.

I remember Trevon James. One of the popular bitconnect shills on Youtube. His videos were convincing enough to get most of his subscribers (and Steemit folllowers) to buy into the bitconnect scam.

A lot of people lost their investment, but some of them earned money, even with this scam.
Some people pulled out their investment in time and earnings too.

This scam should be forgotten forever.

I admire your admission that you became a victim of it and you have been deceived by their scheme which made you think that it will make you rich easy and quick.

Carlos Matos definitely earned with this scam and the developers itself.

I didn't invested on it and thanks to the people who busted them all over the net and gave warning about it.

But too sad to think on how many people got deceived by them, more than thousands.

Pyramid schemes don't last long. I have a lot of friends involved in such projects for 50 to 100 dollars, waiting for x5-x15 and bring money. Of the 10 projects, say 1-2 projects bring such a profit. I don't like such companies. All of them sooner or later are closed, a matter of time.

Just keep away to those kind of scheme, hoping that each and everyone learn about those kind of scam pyramid for good. Thanks for sharing some information on this thread.

I almost invested but was lucky I had no money then. I have learnt already not to go with pyramid kind of business because they are like ponzi, they keep enriching the first comers.

Welp. It's quite easy to convince greedy and desperate people especially when you're willing to do sacrifices (e.g. yer identity etc..)

However, I don't seem to know how the case ended but I'm guessing he would have been hit with only a heavy fine.

The victims were feeling bad about their wrong move of investing to bitconnect and that's what I'm saying that it should be forgotten forever.

You have the point that it's a great example to stay away from the same schemes if there will be some the same crypto that will come out in the future.

Anyway, bitconnect is completely dead but by checking it's market cap it still has a rough $4M cap.

I'm very lucky that I can't participate in bitconnect. I was very busy with ICO, so i have enough money to buy them.

Why to remember old bad days?
This is wonderful forum, you don't have to come here after your sad stories, you have to come before them. The reason why I say this is because Bitconnect was proven scam here and their account was tagged very early. Can say the same about some exchangers and gambling websites.
I don't know someone who earned from bitconnect because most of them invested in last months.

But this should be forgotten by the victims but if you want some memes there's a lot of videos on youtube with remix just for fun purposes.

In the past, it was difficult to detect scam ICOs/projects "only after it happened" because scammers make an effort to convince people of their project idea.
BitConnect taught us how open source projects trusted without even reading the program code.
Now, it's easy to detect scam "scammers became lazy because of the stupidity of investors," but there's a lot to invest without even checking a simple Google search.

Accepting one mistake is hard to do but it is the only way to move on and learned from the past. I know someone who lost money because of this Bitconnect scam or scheme without my knowledge, he is new one in crypto not even a year and I can’t imagine how he sufffer from that. Depression even change him from a cool one to a doubtful man to anyone. He even stop now on investing.

I’m sad that he secretly done this move on his own, but I understand now why. I don’t have money for it.

Of course there are many people who have made a lot of profit with this ponzi scheme, as the scheme says: "ponzi scheme" the first investors are the lucky ones and those who are more likely make a lot of money

At least you acknowledge your mistake, there was a lot of evidence that Bitconnect is a scam, you did not make enough research about project. I made in past same mistake.

Many people lost, many people believed in big returns and even bigger promises. If it sounds too good, most likely it's some kind of scam. I remember bitconnect, it rise a lot of dust around, but some people were talking how big scam that is and how that project will fail, that weren't one line comments and trolling, some prominent people from this community wrote about it with explanations and arguments, but people were drunk from huge promises and they didn't listen.
I think some people raised lawsuits against bitconnect, we will see what will happen with that. Until then be careful when you invest your money and time.

This is one of the most obvious scheme I have encountered at first I'm tempted to buy but I just know from my research that its not worthy enough to buy this coin like last year when It reach ath and I'm very surprised from $0.1 to $450 in just 1 year its not normal to cryptocurrency to jump is such high value.   

I understand you. I lost a lot of money because of MLM. I entered this market for the profit it brings but what I get is just the numbers and it has no liquidity value.
I trusted and invested in HEX, GRX, EXA, ....
Lose hope. Get out of the market when possible. It can cost you all that.

I was shocked how large Bitconnect ended up becoming.  It only took my a few minutes of research to realize this was a ponzi scam.  It was an obvious scam to me, but I guess the allure of easy money attracted many new investors.  Even the wealthy ones get suckered into ponzi scams.  This incident reminds me of the Bernie Madoff scandal., sometimes people just don't want to hear the truth when there is a chance for big profits.

I heard about this. I know about the scam too, it made me really wiery about trading but you have learnt a massive lesson.

Kick off as in become successful? That's impossible with how insanely high their offered returns were.

Most platforms offering interest for your liquidity barely top a few % while BitConnect went over that with many orders of magnitude. No business can ever sustain that without a continuous income flow.

If people were a bit more cautious about what they do with their coins, they by now would be a whole lot wealthier, and that just by hodling. It's a simple but extremely effective way to increase your wealth.

People that lost due to BitConnect will take more risk with other investments in order to recover from their losses. People's problem is that they believe in the next time to be different because they learned from their mistake.

In reality only a few learned and stop with this garbage, the rest will keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

Lending is always risky. When you bring your money to other people keeping is extremely adventurous. Let's draw the lesson yourself.

LOL, pyramid schemes are always like that. There is one in my country, but I’m not going to mention, lots of people who dived into it lost lots of their money, there are some who lost millions. When it comes to such kind of business, I’m always careful, though I have never been involved in it.

But I’ve been close to people it affected and seen how it ruined their life. When you go in for the first time it seems like things are going better and with more courage and greed, you jump in with more huge amount money more then you can afford to lose, and then Bam! You lose the money. So always be careful with all these, even with Bitcoin itself, cause they are all risky.

I didn't invest in Bitconnect but I heard that this is a big big ponzi scheme from the start. This is a lending platform which gives % that is too good to be true but many fell for their trap. Maybe because they are good at marketing strategy and that makes bitconnect popular.

At least now as an investor, you learned from your mistakes and now you learned that never invest in anything that is "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE"

Yes, I do remember bitconnect. My friend did lose much to it even though he could have made gain. He reinvested and never got anything back.

Yeah its too risky especially here in cryptoworld, a lot of greedy and people and trusting some project like this is quiet high at risk. We must not forget this situation so people can learn about this pyramiding scheme, always tell people to be careful when dealing around cryptomarket.

I condone it with you. I also have some friends who have invested in bitconnet with but the amount is greater than 10k a lot. They think this is a long-term investment channel. I tried to admonish them and sadly they did not care about my words. And when the bitconnet collapses, they are very bewildered and collapsed. It was a sad experience.

Everyone makes a mistake when trading or investing especially if you are just starting, which is bad but also a good thing to experience to learn from it and to avoid making mistakes like that again. I also made a lot of mistakes when I was just starting to trade/invest in cryptocurrency, wrong choice of coin, wrong timing, being too much greedy but I learned a lot from those so I don't regret that I made those mistakes. About Bitconnect, I never tried to invest on it even a lot of people are shilling it, saying that we can earn a lot of money from that cryptocurrency. But I just don't invest on something just because a lot of people saying that it is a good investment.

Bitconnect is the largest Ponzi project in the cryptocurrency market to date and I will not forget the final stages that Bitconnect has made many investors lose, which is a very bad feeling.

You are not the only one but most investors do lost up money on that pyramid scheme type of coin. People do being blinded by too good to be true returns which most of the time their greed do pushes them to purchase on. Earners? for sure there are people who do make money besides on the developer itself. For those investors who did able to get out earlier when the coin is being pumped out and on its ATH and do take profits and never invest back are the ones who do really took advantage.

I don't even wonna remember BCC.

I lost heavily in it, my office friends also lost in it.
But well...we have all moved on.
We've learn from our mistakes and will never happen again.

Lesson learnt that not all Gold glitters.
