Dude, you should not call yourself an idiot, unfortunately in this world there are very evil people, people who just want to cheat and steal money from other people. These people who cheat other people and steal money from other people is who should be called idiots

Of course there are many people who have made a lot of profit with this ponzi scheme, as the scheme says: "ponzi scheme" the first investors are the lucky ones and those who are more likely make a lot of money

Many people lost, many people believed in big returns and even bigger promises. If it sounds too good, most likely it's some kind of scam. I remember bitconnect, it rise a lot of dust around, but some people were talking how big scam that is and how that project will fail, that weren't one line comments and trolling, some prominent people from this community wrote about it with explanations and arguments, but people were drunk from huge promises and they didn't listen.
I think some people raised lawsuits against bitconnect, we will see what will happen with that. Until then be careful when you invest your money and time.

I understand you. I lost a lot of money because of MLM. I entered this market for the profit it brings but what I get is just the numbers and it has no liquidity value.
I trusted and invested in HEX, GRX, EXA, ....

I was shocked how large Bitconnect ended up becoming.  It only took my a few minutes of research to realize this was a ponzi scam.  It was an obvious scam to me, but I guess the allure of easy money attracted many new investors.  Even the wealthy ones get suckered into ponzi scams.  This incident reminds me of the Bernie Madoff scandal., sometimes people just don't want to hear the truth when there is a chance for big profits.

Kick off as in become successful? That's impossible with how insanely high their offered returns were.

Most platforms offering interest for your liquidity barely top a few % while BitConnect went over that with many orders of magnitude. No business can ever sustain that without a continuous income flow.

If people were a bit more cautious about what they do with their coins, they by now would be a whole lot wealthier, and that just by hodling. It's a simple but extremely effective way to increase your wealth.

People that lost due to BitConnect will take more risk with other investments in order to recover from their losses. People's problem is that they believe in the next time to be different because they learned from their mistake.

In reality only a few learned and stop with this garbage, the rest will keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

LOL, pyramid schemes are always like that. There is one in my country, but I’m not going to mention, lots of people who dived into it lost lots of their money, there are some who lost millions. When it comes to such kind of business, I’m always careful, though I have never been involved in it.

But I’ve been close to people it affected and seen how it ruined their life. When you go in for the first time it seems like things are going better and with more courage and greed, you jump in with more huge amount money more then you can afford to lose, and then Bam! You lose the money. So always be careful with all these, even with Bitcoin itself, cause they are all risky.

I didn't invest in Bitconnect but I heard that this is a big big ponzi scheme from the start. This is a lending platform which gives % that is too good to be true but many fell for their trap. Maybe because they are good at marketing strategy and that makes bitconnect popular.

I tried to admonish them and sadly they did not care about my words. And when the bitconnet collapses, they are very bewildered and collapsed. It was a sad experience.

Everyone makes a mistake when trading or investing especially if you are just starting, which is bad but also a good thing to experience to learn from it and to avoid making mistakes like that again. I also made a lot of mistakes when I was just starting to trade/invest in cryptocurrency, wrong choice of coin, wrong timing, being too much greedy but I learned a lot from those so I don't regret that I made those mistakes. About Bitconnect, I never tried to invest on it even a lot of people are shilling it, saying that we can earn a lot of money from that cryptocurrency. But I just don't invest on something just because a lot of people saying that it is a good investment.

You are not the only one but most investors do lost up money on that pyramid scheme type of coin. People do being blinded by too good to be true returns which most of the time their greed do pushes them to purchase on. Earners? for sure there are people who do make money besides on the developer itself. For those investors who did able to get out earlier when the coin is being pumped out and on its ATH and do take profits and never invest back are the ones who do really took advantage.
