Im thinkimg of investing about 8k$.

Please suggest a relative safe but also with big gain potencial coins. Im investing for 1-2 years, maybe longterm if crypto market and blockchain shows mainstream adoption.

1.However i do like privacy coins i dont think it will show big pptencial due to goverment regulations, they will not allowd people to have conpletly anonymous transaction. However i could be wrong.
2. I think platform coins have potencial, ETH, NEO, ADA, EOS...coins should have real life chances to be used, so there cannot be problems with scalability...etc...3rd Generation platform coins? Could that be first realy usefull platforms for mainstream?
3. Lots of smallcap coins show potencial and i like them, however i dont wanna become bagholder.
4.large supply coins are harder to pump also harder to dump, but i think people are avoiding them, my thoughts are that relative short term are not bringing lots of profit, especialy established coins like XRP...how to pump xrp 10x, almost imposibble.
5.BTC is in my opinion only as investment fund, dont think its tehnologicaly advanced and real life use. Biggest advantage of btc is that it was first.
6. My future predictions for crypto are: BTC will gain alot in few years, it will go mainstream as an speculative investment for ordinary people, therefor banks will offer btc investments funds, retiremend funds...goverment and global economics will adopt reallife use of blockchain. Large country willl have its own regulated cryptocurencys, and when i say regulated i mean completly tracable and transparent coins, coins that will be artificuly maintainig its price. No real life use coin for pyment cant have 20% volatility. Platform coins will survive, probably few of them and all will have its own market. ETH for conservative companys, NEO for mainstream, ADA for tehnogicaly advanced. Privacy coins will have problems with goverment, regulations, ban...it will be used but small percent of people really need real privacy coins. I dont care if i buy a coffe with privacy coin or with btc, im not hiding anything.

What are your thougts?
Which coins are good gain potencial in 1 to 2 years?
How would you invest 8k$?
I probably wont invest anythong more in few years than that 8k. However if i loose everything im not gonna die, i can afford to lose it.

Its true that bitcoin have biggest advantage than other altcoin because it was the first crypto currency and the problem bitcoin is facing are high tx fee and long waiting confirmation which lightning and the SegWit are trying to amend. However, you need to be positive in every thing you cause what man think of is what he will become and like you said concerning private coin, yo might wrong about what you think the government will in other to manipulate there price. Meanwhile, people believe XRP is centralized coin which is the reason why it hardly gain some pump in price and if I were you I will invest in both private and centralized coin but I will invest high in private coin because the planned usually come to vain over private but you wise in coin with good historical data coins like BTC,ETH, WANCHAIN, UBCoin,PRL, NEO etc. The choose is still yours but private will still be fine for the next more years cause some countries have already considered there potentials.

Btc & Cryptocurrencies have performed remarkably bad since the January 2018 and they are attracting new investors from now on because of current market prices. However, most cash holders like you and new investors have difficulties in finding a suitable portfolio to invest. I can see how confusing it is when you first start seeking for new cryptocurrency investments. I think that, under your opinion of "BTC will gain alot in few years, it will go mainstream as an speculative investment for ordinary people, therefor banks will offer btc investments funds, retirement funds...goverment ", you'd better use $8k to buy btc and btc only.

You've done a bit of research it seems, I would agree with the points you've stated.
I would do one of 2 things:
1. Buy and hold BTC till things pick up, if you do go down the alt path keep an eye on BTC, BTC dip = alts go down.
2. Trust your own research on what to buy, you like platform coins which aren't a bad choice, I recommend going for one which has proven to have a bottom and is close to it now, EOS is doing well but it has larger potential to dump compared to say NEO or ETH, I like the look of NEO at the current price as it's at the bottom and holding pretty strong at it's satoshi price.

You have done a very good research about most of the potential coin and I like your thought about them but I suggest bitcoin and ethereum for hold on long term because of the potentials they have moreover, based on your research you should be convinced about the coin that s good for hold for the period you choose and you can split you cash averagely into both coin or 60-40% depending on how you want it.

My suggestion so that you can share it in some altcoins.

the first question is "how familiar are you with this market?" based on your comment specially the point #5 and the fact that you say you want to buy and hold a  bunch of coins, i assume you have no idea how this market works.

so my suggestion is that you should first hang around in the market for a couple of months. and most important of all you should try to see the history of different  coins. check their charts in the long run like for a couple of years and see how they have been changing.
try to figure out why each coin rises and falls (aka pumps and dumps) and try to take advantage of that if you want profit.

These types of big portfolio is not for the any investors because everyone expecting the profit in soon and some investors investing in long term so first plan for the time period then carefully choose the 10 coins and perfectly analyse the all coins then pick to 3 coins because more than 5 five coin is little hard monitor so better choose the safer investment in convenient way.

I would still wait for more dips, I do not believe that this is the bottom. Always good to be invested in BTC during the downfalls because you will lose much less. When the market turns around, I would put half into top-10 of your choice. Earlier I was investing in low cap / high risk / high reward coins, but now this is not the right time for that.


Large supply means nothing, you should look at the market cap. Not always the case however, because high cap coins could have zero volume and they still could get easily pumped.

Im in crypto since september 2017 and reading articles, forums, even global economics everyday, as well learning on technical analysis on a daily basis.

Maybe we didnt understand quite well. I meant that BTC is not technologicaly advanced compared to some other coins and not generaly. And i never said i want to buy bounch of coins...im thinking of geting BTC and 2 or maybe 3 ALTS in top 30 and 2 smallcap coins. And when i say hold for 2 years i didn mean to hold it nomatter what, im gonna definatly sell if i see an upcoming correction.

If it's only about safe investment, bitcoin is the safest coin of all. It is the most suitable coin for long term investment and will be mass adopted soon.
Store of value and asset are the main descriptions of bitcoin now if you will ask someone what bitcoin is but as a payment bitcoin still suits.

you are right to choose a crypto that has a smart contract platform, ETH and NEO is the right choice for you. maybe you can also consider tokens owned by exchanges like BNB and KCS.

This is a very serious investment. I would keep most of the Altcoins, about bitcoin did not forget. It would be BNB, EOS, ETH, ADA, DASH, NEM, OMG, XMR.

my advice to you is dont be greedy. dont think to earn x30 from a coin in a week. and set goal to you. sell when you reach there

1 If you really like the privacy coins I think Monero is the best coin for that because Monero has a big community and real use cases
2 Scalability is the most common problem in Decentralized Blockchain, actually, a scalability problem proves that a Blockchain has many uses. there are many Blockchain claiming that they can solve the scalability problem but, they are not able to prove it because they only have a low number of use cases, and I think the Dapps platforms like Ethereum and NEO have the potential to become mainstream
3 Do not invest in small-cap coins if you do not want to be a bagholder and high investment risk

If I have $ 8k I will increase my previous investment and that is; Bitcoin, Ethereum, Achain, Waves, BKX, and NEO because I've invested in this coin and I still believe in this crypto, do more research if you are interested and I recommend to believe in the results of your own research

today i think good time to buy altcoin, your portofolio with ETH, NEO , ADA and EOS its good choices, may be you should search for new ICO like Docademic/MTC and Shivom/OMIX and pundi X its really good token

You're right about bitcoin technology not to be advance to other altcoin because altcoin developer have the require fund and they are working simultaneously together. Meanwhile, the reason why bitcoin technology was behind is because bitcoin creator is no where to be find and the group of developer that ought to take care of bitcoin technology are now choosing side and this lead to the reason why bitcoin technology lack some certain benefit which altcoin has.


Concern the coin you can't decide on. I believe KMD,ETH and ADA are good base on there past record. However, never try XSPEC base on  there past record either.

There are huge hype around Neonexchange and its my last hope in crypto. Im sure it will do at least 50x in 2018. also Dav network & sentinel protocol will be good.

Well, cryptos in general are very volatile, Bitcoins can hardly be called a secure invest. Of course, ICO are even more risky...

If there are no other cryptos already in your portfolio, I'd suggest put 80% of your money in some top 10 coins and with the rest go for some more risky ICOs or low cap coins

Indeed it is very good to invest $ 8000, I would strongly advise to choose the best altcoin then it will be very good for you self, do not be too hasty in making a decision, because market conditions like this could be to become cheaper again, buy it a lot more, so from that I really like altcoin for now, where its development will be very good if bull run happened.

Firstly you buy BTC for your 8k.. then i would put ca 70% of it equally on ETH, EOS, XRP, IOTA, XLM, LTC and Abyss. yes, you counted it right, 10% each

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

ill probably wait for couple of days because i think BTC could go back down to around 6k, maybe even 5.5k...when BULL confirms im in at folowing strategy:investing 8k$

1. im gonna go all in BTC . We all know that ALTS (at least top marcetcap) wont bull before BTC will. ill probably go short to 9.5k and buy back low (do a swing trade as those resistance points are quait obvius)
2. when BULL confirms and break 12k resistance, all go 50% into NEO and stake them for GAS.
3. 50% stays in BTC...ill do trades at major round resistance points
4. NEO should follow bull market, dont think its gonna stay here at 0,006btc and it will not fall (when market and BTC is at bull)
5. with BTC trading at obvius resistance point i should get some profit, which ill try to buy and trade HYPED coins. Why hyped? because small investors follow hyped coins and small investors are easy to predict...TA work on hyped coins pretty well i think.

why BTC?- because its safe investment with potencial for at least 2 years

If you want to inverse 8000$,you can inverse the entire amount into bitcoin.You will get back the amount you had invested in bitcoin.

For investment choose always the coin which is in top50 in terms of Market Cap and in daily trading volume. Some of the good coins which are new in the market are BNT, ICX, Binance Coin, PKT, and EOS.

Why you don't try begin with a little money first, like 1000$, and try to invest what you want. Learn by yourself is always better. Just remember, you always ready for lost this money.

If I were you, I would recommend that you spread out your amount into several sources. Say buy 5 new coins, which are little known, but very promising. And the rest of the money invest in Ethereum and bitcoin. They'll definitely make some x's.

in any case, the most rated coins will carry a minimum risk if a person makes a choice for investment in their favor. but nevertheless the current state of things on the market gives great chances for the future contributions of their funds.

Diversification is key in this market, understanding that newcomers offer higher risk but also higher reward. The more entrenched mainstays offer less risk but often offer less upside as well, risk should always be a key function of your investment.

If you wanted lowest risk/lowest reward, you could easily go EOS/QTUM/ETH in some proportion and hold/stake the EOS for the upcoming airdrops, stake the QTUM and ETH and have a sound long term investment.

If you wanted greater risk, you could pursue something with more long term upside but less market cap, I'm a big fan of the masternode platforms and POS (GIN, MANO and DCR) and the functioning blockchains (OMG, ICON, and NEO)

At the highest end of the risk scale, you have projects with unfinished blockchains (TOMO, CPChain,  TEZOS?) and ICO's (DYOR)

For someone with patience and a willingness to follow a project EOS and their future airdrops are probably a good bet to see immediate returns. Personally an Eth hodler and hold a few masternodes, but I've noticed the price of DCR/GIN/NEO didn't respond to the collapse of BTC as extreme as ETH did, perhaps from their staking and masternode programs.

$8000 is a good sum to make an investment, to me its good to diversify the investment over different altcoins as well over the top listed cryptocurrencies. Also this is the right time to make an investment unlike the asset, because each and every asset is low in value and has got the potential to grow over years which assures investing now will get profit within limited time period.

I would just not go "all-in", especially all at once. If you have 8k, spread the risk. You can buy some things now, but have some capital later on available just in-case you need to buy more at a stronger support.

I suggest you split your money into three. Use the first part to buy Bitcoins. Use the second part to  find any good other alt and buy some. You can then use the remaining third part to join an ICO of your choice and likening.

Just know the basic things about investing and know more about the coin that you will choose to hold. Bitcoin and Eth can be a top option for you so don't forget to have this on your portfolio. If I had $8000 I would buy ethereum and bitcoin with a big part of that money. After of that, maybe I would buy neo and IOTA with the rest of it.

i would recommend putting half of your money in eth & btc as these are the safest bets. the other half can go 50% in top 10 coins and 50% in low market cap coins to  hope at least one of them hit 5-10x for nice profits .Always diversify your portfolio .

Great profit to start in this market and I agree that the safest coin to invest right now is with eth and btc so don't ever forget about this two giant coins. You can choose with other good coins within top 30 in coinmarketcap and decide where to invest. Don't be greedy, just keep on learning things so you can succeed in the future.

I would not rush and before investing this money all carefully weighed. I would choose to invest a few cryptocurrencies from the top 100.

In order to invest some amount, it's necessary to conduct a thorough analysis of the market, highlight one or two coins and then to analyze them again. If you want to invest for 2 years, then the analysis of companies should be for the same period of time.

$8000 is already a huge amount to invest so if I have this money I will invest in crypto. Conduct research to spread your investment into different coins. First to invest for me is btc and ethereum these are great rewarding coins that you will gains high.

If I had $ 8 thousand dollars I would have preferred to invest in ETH and half of it for BTC and I have not been too brave to invest into altcoin other than ETH because too risky will decrease even though many advise to buy NEO and EOS I am more steady to save BTC and ETH especially if for the long term.

If i buy BTC on coindesk and use referal acount i get 10$ for each transaction over 100$ and owner of referal gets 10$, together 20$ for each buy over 100$

So if i join referal and use my own link to buy BTC i would get 20% more BTC

If I were you I would just throw it all into bitcoin. In that way you could get all the forks if you control the private key and imo bitcoin has the most potential to go up

For me the best will be to split this amount on money that you will invest in first 10 coins, money that you will put in coins which value is under 10$ and money that you could put in thrash coins that will probably pump in future, for me it will be the best to split 60%-30%-10%.

I think you should invest in 3-5 coins and 2 ICO's. Vechain / Ontology / Zilliqa / NEO are fantastic buys atm. ICO wise I am looking now at Eloncity, the new ICO from the succesful Krypital Group.

There is no safe coin to invest here so pick your coin based on your requirement but but coin is the most best coin to invest yet so invest most of your capital into bitcoin and invest the remaining amount into growing altcoins.

If I had $8000 to invest I would probably buy 1 bitcoin and try to carefuly pick some low marketcap privacy coins. Because you can quickly invest your (or part of it) BTC in other alts when you see clear opportunities. Right now it's unclear if the market will not enter a bear period or not and investing so much money in different altcoins which risks loosing more and more value before a trend reversal seems pretty risky to me.

There are still good investment opportunities of course but I would be simply careful when starting in this space if I was you !

I would recommend you to hold at least 4,000 USD into Bitcoin and you should split the other 4,000 USD into some altcoins like Ethereum or maybe SENT. SENT is currently one of my favorites and there is a lot of potential to make some good money. You should also inest into some other high cap coins that you can see on coinmarketcap.

Hey there, I dont want to tell you how to spend your money, but i'll give you some options to add to your list if interested.
 I would consider taking a look at a couple projects such as Muirfield IP and Fr8 Network.

Fr8 Network's goal is to remove intermediaries from supply chains and bring revenue back to carriers and distributors.

Actually 8000$ is very huge value buddy.If you compared to the price of bitcoin .You can buy more than 1 Btc.Still now J was struggling to reach the 1BTC.If you had brought 1 bitcoin,don't sell at minor raise.You have to hold it till this year end.If the price increase,ypu will get more from it.

to start, you need to choose your strategy: risky or not. If not risky strategy then I would recommend you to invest in the top 10 coins. Bitcoin, eos, xem, eth, neo, etc, ltc.
If the strategy is risky then I would reccomend you capp, xrp, icx, dta, elf, zrx.

It seems to me that for today because of the current state of things on the market, investing in most of the rating coins can bring good profits. It is necessary to use the chance to buy coins at cheaper prices.

Every coin is risky, if you are going to invest in altcoins you have less than 5% chance of picking the good coin for the long term so I would invest at least $4000 in bitcoin and ethereum.

I think you should consider about ethereum and neo to get good profits in the future. And also, maybe you can invest in bitcoin with a small part of your $8000.

Hmm nice question, for me there are some ways to just use this money as good as it is possible, for me the best option will be spliting it in two parts, one you could invest in coins from first ten like etherum or ripple and other part you could use in trading if you know how to do it, that would bring the biggest profit, in my opinion, as it is possible.

Buying some top coins make it less risky because with the rise of btc generally such coins will also rise quickly. Investing in some of the ICO could also be a better option as one of them gets clicked you can easily become millionaire in a couple of years or so.

I know you're worried about privacy coins and the fact that the government might fight against them, and won't be mainstream. But you have to consider that even if they become just a niche, niches can be just as profitable. What do you think about that?

With this still we cannot get the 1 bitcoin for 4000 USD mate. With in some months we will see this worth of bitcoins to 7000 USD or even more as well bro. Kindly check the other top 5 altcoins except the ripple. I am sure you can make more profit with it.

Bitcoin never fails in terms of investment so if you want a sure investment in cryptocurrencies, invest only to bitcoin which has the highest dominance in the market.

It is good to invest $8000 to different good cryptos like bitcoin, eth, omisego and incoming altcoins that will surely give you a good start up.

Btc is a top choice to invest with this amount of $8000 is a big amount already. With this to earn profit must invest in a worthy project invest into different coins. Yes btc, ethereum, neo and I would add Icx but to have no doubt on which coins this person should search good crypto to invest.

i think you should divide your investment among these three coins : Bicoin, Ethereum and Litecoin all three are in the top 10 and sort of more established coins in term of utility and use case and frankly in the next bull run (whenever that happens) you may get some good returns on your investment.

I like the decision of buying a diverse portfolio. This is a good idea and you can only earn some good money and avoid risk if you hold a diverse portfolio. One thing very important is the time you buy even if the portfolio is a diverse. By this I mean the time to buy and now look a good time to buy as the prices are way down and one can own some good number of coins in a low amount.

When you compare investment across years, wine seems to be a good choice. Dig deep into buying high class french wines, like Bordeux. In ex. Pauillac or Margaux, some of them gain around 8-10% per year depending on the year of harvesting.

Your point of view is good. Many trading platform coins have great potential, and many of the platform coins now come with different mechanisms. I think it's interesting, but these coins are not suitable for long-term holding!

You're come at the right time with your 8k as market is currently bearish. I think ETH is a good investment for long term and ADA is rather on cheap side but it has great potential once we go bull. Small cap I'm (as some have also mentioned) mostly looking at Spectrecoin (XSPEC) as I see a bright future for it in the privacy space. Might take until 2019 or 2020, but I see it as a long term play specifically. 

Mid cap coins I'm looking at ENG, QASH, WAN, WABI, RHOC, 0x and some others.

Large cap at these prices are almost guaranteed to bring you profit with patience, just not as large of multipliers as the small-mid cap. EOS can be good to snag some free airdropped tokens, however there is always some FUD around it too, the good thing is it never really hurts the price.

I guess the guy who left this post here in June, has already invested his 8 thousand. If the other people think where they can spend the money, I would recommend buying Cardano and Lisk.

The most important thing in your words is that you are willing to risk and are not afraid to lose all the coins and money. This is the most important. If I were you, I would invest more than one year in ready-made coins. For example bitcoin, Ethereum, Nem, Neo, ADA ,bitcoin cash, these coins can be invested and I know that in 1-2 years the growth will be accurate.

Just check out the solid ICOs (forget about the obvious scams, these are expected in such decentralised techs) with a great team, promising and solid tech.
For example Eterbase, which will have a new exchange approach with an innovative matching algorithm, among other benefits.
To me, ETH is the chain with the best investors, team and tech, even with the scaling issues. But this year you will see that other coin ICOs will come out as well challenging this position, making the ICO ecosystem even richer.

It is not the small sum for investment. You chose probably the most successful moment for investment into cryptocurrency. Now all coins in the market cost little very much. But be careful, spend time and study all documentation of the project.
